The Rose- Pan Asian Cusine
Our second time here. It was not as crowded as it was end of holiday season. It was a cold night and the table we got initially was close to the doors, but thankfully the host moved us to the back of the restaurant when the table became available. I was glad that the food quality is still well maintained like the last time. Love the place and the food. Highly recommended.
Nice spot for an authentic Indo-Chinese food! Both The lemon coriander soup, and the Hakka noodles were super. The monos and gobhi manchurian were flavorful. The chilli paneer was nice but not as good gobhi manchurian. It also had a spicy jalapeno that looks like a bell pepper so definitely watch out for the spice. Overall, a one of the best place for delicious Indo-Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend!
Yummy Yummy
Food is consistent and has lots of flavor. Always fresh and made efficiently. It’s a standard Chinese spot with limited seating and decorations but the food is delicious. I have taken the food to multiple events and people unfamiliar with it love it. I hope they continue to have good quality and home style cooking.
I know… I’m not going to lie sometimes I over exaggerate….but hear me out👂🏽….The name definitely suits this place bc every bite was “SMACKIN!” …..PERFECT….I got the (General Tso Chicken) “Extra Crispy” and it was exactly what I wanted!
China Moon
"I’ve visited this restaurant a few times and unfortunately, consistency has been an issue. While the rice is sometimes fresh and well-cooked, other times it has been cold, partially cooked, or even seemed old. The food quality feels like a gamble, and some dishes have arrived without much flavor. I’d love to see more consistency in food quality and temperature. There are some good moments, but improvements could make it a much better experience overall."
The delivery is a little on the slow side but it’s definitely worth it. We usually order from here if it’s a Monday and everywhere else closer is closed but they’re seriously so friendly and occasionally hook us up with free drinks. Wonton soup is 10/10 👌🏻
Master Wok
***SERIOUS FOOD SAFETY CONCERN- REQUIRES IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION*** I regret to say that my experience at Master Wok Chinese Food in Bridgewater Commons mall was nothing short of a disaster. I feel compelled to share my unfortunate encounter to warn future patrons and express my deep concern for the safety of others, especially those with children. I must stress that this review is not to be taken lightly, as I intend to file complaints with the Department of Health and Food Safety Department, the Commons Mall administration, and the Better Business Bureau. First and foremost, the chicken dish I ordered contained a bone, posing a severe choking hazard. As a responsible consumer, I expect restaurants to prioritize food safety, and this incident was completely unacceptable. The lack of proper quality control and attention to detail is concerning. I shudder to think that someone else might experience a similar mishap, more vulnerable children. Furthermore, the chicken broccoli dish I ordered was far from fresh. The taste was off, and it was evident that the food had been sitting for an extended period. As a result, I was forced to discard the entire meal due to concerns about its freshness and potential hazards to my child's health. It is deeply troubling that a restaurant would serve food that is not only unappetizing but also potentially unsafe to consume. Master Wok Chinese Food must be subject to a thorough inspection and evaluation of their food preparation practices. Their lack of adherence to proper protocols for ensuring food freshness and safety violates the trust we place in them as consumers. I strongly urge the relevant authorities to take action, including imposing fines and penalties, to ensure that this establishment rectifies its shortcomings. In conclusion, my experience at Master Wok Chinese Food was a disappointing one, marred by a bone in the chicken dish and the serving of stale food. I implore future customers to exercise extreme caution and consider the potential risks of dining at this establishment. Your health and safety should never be compromised, and I sincerely hope that my review serves as a wake-up call for Master Wok and prompts them to take immediate corrective measures.
This place is a great alternative to Sakura Japan which is currently being renovated. The chicken is a bit sweeter, but I enjoyed it. No complaints from my niece and nephew.
Happy Garden Zhu
I am a dumpling junkie, and these were some good dumplings! So take out food is a yes, not much atmosphere for dinning in, but if ur looking to get out of the cold, it will do just nicely! (Food is good!) ☮️💟
I ordered a lunch special- the shrimp in lobster sauce with fried white rice. To be honest it is a dish I haven’t tried before … I wish I had better things to say but the picture speaks for itself in my opinion. Maybe it’s just me but the presentation turned me off automatically. Still tasted it even with it looking like that, it tasted just as bad as it looked. Willing to give another try with another order but not anytime soon. The woman was super nice when I ordered though, so I’m giving a second star.
Great Wall Kitchen
Best Chinese food in Raritan. I’ve lived here for 14 years & have only just discovered this gem of a restaurant. Ordered the ‘basics’ as a trial run. Outstanding. Everything top notch. Best pork Lo Mein I’ve ever had & I'm from NYC. Dumplings were fabulous. Chicken & broccoli totally on point. White rice was perfect. I plan to try everything on the menu over the coming years. Reasonably priced, too. Five stars. I’m looking forward to my exotic biweekly treat.
Love steamed pork dumplings. Such an easy dish to quietly eat while chilling after work. They done goofed so bad with this dish. The pork was so watered down it had 0 flavor. And the container in which it came in was full of hot water. They don’t boil the dumplings in cold water so don’t expect that doughy outside that blends well with the pork (not a huge deal.) probably just having a shite night but it’s just a half ass restaurant, not worth the inflated price
New Fortune Restaurant
Love places like these local fire 🔥 Chinese restaurants Sesame chicken is unreal! Pork dumplings with the chili sauce is a must. It was very tasty they do not skimp on the portion or the flavor would definitely recommend to anyone! 10/10
I live across the street from there. I have ordered twice from them and food has been very Good.prices are good and they pack the container with food.everybody should try them out. No complaints. Gonna have some more orange chicken it's been 45 minutes
Kumo Asian Restaurant
This review will be two parts. First, the 'all you can eat' trap, and second, the food quality. Any time I hear "all you can eat", my scam alarm goes off. Despite this, my friend dragged me here. Immediately, I realized the 'catch' with the ordering system. You pay a flat fee, and are able to order from a limited menu of appetizers/sushi/entrees - the catch is that you are charged EXTRA for any dish you don't completely finish. We ate everything we ordered, so this was not an issue, but it is DEFINITELY not clearly advertised beyond a vague 'please do not waste food' message on the menu. Furthermore, a la 'olive garden', your orders are deliberately slowed down in an attempt to reduce ordering. They even tried getting us to stop by placing the receipt on the table. Nice try. The portion sizes for some dishes are also HILARIOUSLY small. This is definitely a trap for the unfamiliar. We recognized it and planned our meal accordingly, thereby avoiding being 'had' by the trap- but it is there, and you should be aware. After tip and tax, it will be at least $40, so bear that in mind while ordering. The food quality varied by dish. The sushi roll was acceptable, and all the appetizers we tried were alright. That said, the hibachi dishes (beef/chicken) were hilariously small (both the size of the chunks, AND the plate size) - of course you can order as many as you want- I would recommend ordering one first to see how measly it is, and then ordering 4 or 5 to get an actual hibachi sized dish.
We bumped into this place by accident when we were on a way to sushi palace which we frequently visited. But it was worth exploring! This sushi buffet is priced right, has plenty of food, polite staff and bring you own bottle option! It’s not as crowded as sushi palace, so you are more likely to find a bigger table if you bring a large party.
Bang Dumplings
$12 for 4 small dumplings. $12 for a tiny, small portion. Ordered from DoorDash and the 4 dumplings took 2 hours to arrive. They were cold too! Terrible value for the cash. Will not order again.
Ruby Thai
We enjoy Ruby Thai. The flavors are good. The price is reasonable. The quantities copious. Everything tastes fresh not mushy. The grilled chicken is tender and delicious. The Thai Milk Tea is authentic. Everytime we have eaten here the servers are friendly, helpful, and smiling. It's not sit down restaurant quality but it's a third the price. Well worth the visit.
Fresh cooked food! The service is fast and the staff professional.communication might be a little difficult depending of who you talk. But they will make sure you are satisfied with your order.
Sarku Japan
Very good place that I go to all the time. The food being cooked in front of you adds atmosphere and there is almost always people sitting and eating
I recently visited this place and had a disappointing experience. The food was not up to standard; it was overcooked and lacked quality, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Additionally, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Both cashiers and the staff handling food were noticeably rude and unhelpful when I asked for utensils, which made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, with this combination of poor food quality and subpar service, I won’t be returning.
Magic Wok
It's a damn shame what's happened to this place. Magic wok used to be THE spot. Wonton soup flavorless. Tastes like nothing. The sauce for the fried wontons tastes way too sour, it might even be expired. Beef sticks are tendon ridden chewy flavorless garbage. Sell the joint back to Johnny cause what's it become is an absolute travesty
google maps hides MagicWok,, you see it only at street level .. i have past this area often, and never knew it was here .. i usually order just noodles for chinese takeout lunch .. so first time here was roastpork loMein ,, it was too much soy sauce but it had nice chunks of pork and it was a quart size paper container ,, and not the reduced plastic tray size that is not a quart .. i will likely try other items here but will ask to go lite on the sauce..
