China Villa Restaurant
Decent place for what it is. Nothing fancy just a Chinese takeout place. Food is good, quick and price is pretty on par for the industry. They have booths inside, but they're pretty grimey. I wouldn't eat inside that's for sure.
Was very good, the spare ribs are some of the best I had in the state, the only negative was the portion sizes, I would have appreciated a bit more, and my freind who ordered a la cart got way too much.
sunny rainbow
The last 2 times I've ordered the fried rice has been bland. This time the orange chicken had absolutely no orange flavor and tasted burnt, the sesame chicken tasted like burnt soy sauce. One of the worst experiences I've had from there.
Quick friendly service. Delicious food! Large portions and good prices! Crab Rangoons, egg rolls, beef teriyaki, pork lo main, chicken fingers are some of my favorites! Also they give you more duck sauce than any other restaurant. Never need extra.š
Fortune Garden
When you walk into the place it does not give the appearance that your meal will be the best Chinese food in Portland!! Have order from there four times with each order being a wonderful delicious meal made just as we ordered! The male working the counter (I believe the husband) comes across as not very friendly. If you arrive before your order is really and the place is not busy he opens up in conversation and is a super friendly gentleman. Parking is on street and very easy.
Consistently one of my favorite takeout spots in and around Portland. The food is always flavorful, the people who own and operate the spot are kind and caring. I often order the American fusion go-to: general tsos chicken. The chicken is crispy, the sauce is tangy and rich, and it comes with a hefty serving of broccoli and white rice. I love the vegetable lo main, pork fried rice, and pork fried dumplings. The egg rolls and bbq pork app are my favorite in town ā highly recommend asking for the spicy mustard! Whenever Iāve asked for a recommendation for a new dish, I am always pleasantly surprised. I love that we have such an awesome a family run establishment in the neighborhood. We moved out of town a while back and will still drive in to pick up (20/30 mins away). Theyāre always helpful and accommodating with pickup times and the food is still hot and delicious when we get home. I hope they continue to thrive and serve up our favorite takeout. Itās nice to see their friendly faces whenever we go.
China Taste
A cute little quaint place with FANTASTIC food! Only has 3 tables, one of which we sat and ate at. We had chicken fingers, rangoons, bone in spareribs and pork friend rice, all of which were delicious! Highly recommend!
I was looking for somewhere for lunch as I work in the area and wanted something different. Iād never heard of China Taste but am so glad I stopped here! Frankly I think most Chinese food restaurants in the Portland/Gorham area are just okay, but this lunch was AWESOME. I got the lunch special with General Tsoās, crab Rangoon and pork fried rice with a soda, and holy COW. Everything was fresh, good portion sizes, and delicious. Probably some of the best Chinese food Iāve had and it looked beautiful ā I literally HAD to take a photo haha. If youāre in the area for lunch, get your takeout here! Iām excited to do takeout for my family for dinner some night.
China Rose buffet
Used to eat her as a kid and teenager and to used to be so amazing! So many amazing memories and great service. I was in town so i ordered a pupu for 4 for my family for pick up, when i arruved i realized how run down the place was, the inside is gross! They have dead fish in there tanks!, but i still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because my food still smelled decent and we were starved, but no surprise the food was so nasty!! It smelled gross up close, everything was way to greasy! There was a STAPLE in my chicken wing! My family took one bite of something and we all gagged. I actually cried because of the amount of money i paid and i never thought i would get this kind of experience from this restaurant. Im not sire if there are new owners now since i was a kid but it was the nastiest āfoodā ive ever had. It was thrown away. I will be going back today to demand a refund. Please be carful if you do order, specially with kids, i still have no idea how that staple got imbedded in the chicken wing. Im also gonna be calling a food inspector. I genuinely think they need it.
A very Small cup of sweet a sour sauce that was half full, I couldnāt eat the egg rolls because all of the grease pouring out of them. The bottom of the bag they came in was filled with grease. Will not be back
Golden Chopsticks
Worst chinese food in maine. Ordered the beef chow mein. Got beef stew with no noodle, only bean sprouts. My girl said this place was good, I no longer take food advice from her.
I really like this restaurant. I think it's the best place for Chinese take out in the Brunswick area. The prices are good for the portions of food that they give you and it always tastes fresh when I get it. I also like the family owned vibe that they have inside it seems like a nice business.
China Taste
Ordered and paid in store, waited over an hour. Saw a bag put up I thought was mine 30 mins in, asked and was told it was not mine, 30 mins later asked and handed the same bag of cold food, and was asked to pay although I already had. Very frustrating
Recently, I decided to try a new dish - Mongolian Beef. When I called in, the lady who's always there said they were missing some ingredients, but that she could make do with some substitutes. The result was the best Chinese food I've ever had, hands down.
Lins Wok
02/24/25 around 4:15pm This was an excellent find! Right next to Giant where I do my grocery shopping. Been craving Chinese and Been meaning to go here for some time and finally decided to stop in for dinner and see how their food was. I got the sesame chicken combo with the fried rice and it was immaculate! Also got an egg roll to go with it! Will be back again!
Pork pad thai!! Tried a few others, best here! Met my pregnancy cravings several times. Easy ordering online, pickup easy too. Parking always avail.
Taipei Chinese Kitchen
No longer cook like they did last year new young kid messing it up. They use to make a very good hot and sour soup. My husband has been picking up a quart of hot and sour soup and a quart of wonton several times a month for years now. Even as much as twice a week in the summer. Must have bought over 100 quarts of soup last year alone from this place. The hot and sour soup always had lots of cabbage, onions, mushrooms in it. On 3/8 we order our usual again. This time a new younger man cooked it. However what i got was thin soup with no vegetables in it just lots of egg and broth and 3 small pieces of veggies in it. We took it back on 3/9 to complain that this is not hot and sour soup. Young man insist that this is hot and sour soup and that it never came with any veggies just broth egg and a few small pieces of veggies. So now this new young man is trying to tell me i do not remember what the soup i have been ordering for years from this place looked like. He is trying to tell us we have been getting this egg drop looking soup from them every time we ordered hot and sour and we just cannot remember what it is supposed to look like. Basically he is right we are wrong. No one makes hot and sour soup like this. Not even the old lady and old man that always cooked my soups here before. Even insists that this is how his mother taught him. Well i hope they are not thinking of handing the business to this kid because if they do we will need to find another place to buy our weekly soups from. Just wish the old owners would make sure that this young kid could cook the food properly before they let them take over. As you can see in the picture what i got as hot and sour soup was more like egg drop soup. Where are the mushrooms?. Where is the cabbage? Why so much egg? Also i just heard from my husband, the wonton soup was tasteless this time. The broth was almost as clear as water. No color no flavor. Will give them one more try. If they mess up the third time then it is goodbye to them for good. It is a shame this young man will ruin a good restaurant. this is not the first Chinese place to be ruined by the younger generation that does not care about traditions. The good taste in Harrisburg is no longer good tasting thanks to the young cooks working there now, . .
I spent a total of $73.00 on delivery. The hot and sour soup was neither, and the most tasteless soup I have had. The Scallion pancakes/spring rolls/and an order of simple egg rolls were a greasy, salt-lick infused mess. The house special LoMein as well as an order of Pork with vegetables, both had a disgustingly sweet taste....horrid. I would avoid spending your hard-earned dollars here.
Panda Express
I donāt know whatās happened but they have gone downhill so much in the last year. Their fried rice is the most flavorless rice Iāve ever had. Itās white rice with some veggies in it and no seasoning. Same goes for the crab rangoon. Absolutely no flavor, it tastes like youāre taking a bite of bland cream cheese. And itās 50/50 if their chicken will be edible or way overcooked. Such a shame when you already have a small menu, take more pride in what youāre serving people. Thereās no excuse for a Chinese restaurant to have bad fried riceā¦. Donāt waste your time. Thereās tons of Chinese restaurants in the area, go anywhere else
The chicken was so overcooked it was as dry as cardboard and tasted the same. My wifed picked it up for me they did not give her enough teriyaki sauce for the dish, which may have helped a little w the dry chicken. The rice must have been sitting in that hot pot for a while as it was fused together so it literally was huge clumps that would seperate. I used to love getting food here and would every chance I got, now I will probably never get food here again. This last meal was probably the worst meal I've had in the last 20+ years and definitely the worst meal I have ever gotten here. I will not be eating here ever again
Panda Chinese Restaurant
One of the best chinese food in the area! The orange chicken is a staple! Canāt go wrong with all the food choices! Quick and delicious! Good people, great service thank you! Will be back soon š«°
The service was great as always. Butā¦.this is the 4th time Iāve gotten sick after eating their food. I brushed it off the first few times thinking it was me. I had just finished eating my dinner when I got terrible nausea and got super sick. Enough is enough. The place is unhygienic and the food tastes spoiled. The fountain drinks taste off and the bottle drinks are out of date. I donāt like badmouthing places but save your money!! Itās not with it!
China one
I am not one to write reviews often but I had toā¦. I usually order vegetable lo mein from here and I am usually very happy with the amount of Day and variety of vegetables in the lo mein. When I got home and unpacked my food yesterday I portioned out my servicing of VEGTABLE lo mein to only see onion in the noodles. Very disappointed ā¹ļø
My daughter wanted Chinese food for her birthday. We came here. The food was good and the staff was nice. Large portions. We ordered two less dishes than we needed and shared. There was plenty left over for the next day. The restaurant is clean. Good comfort food.
