Red 8
Posh but casual environment overlooking casino. Use back door if entering with children under 21. Lovely delicate flavors, great service. Elegant setting and presentation. Family style. They everything - it's worth it!
Very underrated I would say! It is a casual spot but still very nice on the inside, open air to the casino. We ordered the duck and the oxtail soup and both were very good! Sometimes it is hard to find protein forward dishes in Vegas and these two hit the spot! Lychee martini was equally good!
Fat Choy Restaurant
Wow! They have the best pancake. Haven’t had a pancake that’s just have old school thick & tasty simple pancake. Everything was so delicious. We stopped in for breakfast. I like a side of rice breakfast. It’s only served at lunch but they were so kind & served my breakfast with a bowl of rice. My brother in law ordered the French toast. Again, another great dish. It’s how the prepared it. Very fluffy. As for rest of our experience.. Excellent service. DDD was spot on for featuring this restaurant.
Best value for the food you get. This is definitely a gem. I am so glad we discovered this restaurant. I would highly recommend the fish & chips, breakfast ($6 for 2 eggs/steak/potatoes), Asian sesame salad, and pork belly pao (a little bit pricy).
Panda Express
They have good food, for me, the portions are a bit small. My gal received lots of chicken on her choice, my choice was a ribeye bowl which had 5 small pieces of meat maybe if it was weighed just right, it would probably tip the scale at 2 oz. They did give me a free soda because, I had to wait for 20 minutes for my choice to be cooked. Employees are friendly and smiling.
They double charged me on one thing and left out another. The food was okay... but the veggies were hardly cooked and very hard. I bought the family pack and got home to find the containers only 2/3 full. Honestly don't think I'll get food from this location. For 4 people and only 2 drinks, I spent almost 70 dollars. Not happy at all.
Panda Express
I have never seen anyone more rude than the workers here. Their treatment is very bad, and so is the manager. They serve the food as if they are serving it for free. They throw the food in the boxes nervously and serve it nervously as well. I hope their treatment changes. There were people before me who took the same meal and put the shrimp in a reasonable way, but they put 3 pieces in my box. It is funny. I hope their treatment changes. As for me, I will not come back here again.
Psanda is great for a quick well balanced meal, my only complaint is there menu has stagnated, not the choices we used to get, but overall pretty good & fast
Noodle Master
Wow the spicy brisket and pulled noodle was very spicy five alarm, but very good. The owner came out and gave us a sample of his new chicken wing dish. Nicely done well cooked with a sprinkle of spice on the side. Definitely something to try out.
Noodle Master is truly a place where “one bowl of noodles wins your heart for life”! The Lanzhou noodles are perfectly chewy, and the broth is so flavorful it feels like you’re sipping on a story. The Sichuan beef noodles have just the right level of spice—warm enough to comfort without overwhelming. The staff are quick and efficient, with a friendly touch that makes you feel like you’re catching up with old friends. The restaurant is clean and inviting, and every visit feels like coming home. It’s not that I love noodles—it’s that these noodles love me! Five stars, highly recommended!
Buffet at Asia
I visited Buffet Asia on Flamingo Road around 4:30 PM, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service stood out right away—staff were attentive and made sure all the food stations were consistently refilled and everything remained clean. It seems like this might be a newer location since the space felt modern, very spacious, and well-maintained. The food quality was solid. Everything I tried was fresh, especially the sushi, which was one of the highlights of the buffet. The salad selection was also good, offering a fresh and diverse range of options. However, I did feel that the beef selection could be expanded a bit—it felt limited compared to other sections. In terms of pricing, the drink was included in the menu, which was nice. However, after taxes and the automatically included 11% tip, the total came out to just over $30 for one person. While the service was good enough that I left an additional tip, I still think the price felt a little steep for what was offered. Ideally, I believe the price should be closer to $25, especially for a solo diner. But it’s worth noting that this might be due to weekend pricing since they offer crab legs during weekends, though I didn’t try them this time. Overall, the cleanliness, attentive service, and fresh food made it a good experience. The price is my only real concern, but given the good service and quality, it was still worth the visit.
All-You-Can-Eat Lobster, Oysters, and Crab Legs for Under $30! Indulge in unlimited Lobster, Oysters, and Crab Legs, available exclusively during weekend dinner hours (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Make sure to plan your visit accordingly, as these delicacies are only offered on weekends! Buffet at Asia 📍 Address: 1518 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119 Note: There are three locations with the same name, but the one in the West area is slightly more expensive compared to the others. It’d be interesting to find out what makes it different! Special Recommendation: Fried Frog Legs For a unique culinary experience, try the Fried Frog Legs! With their tender texture and distinct flavor, they’re often considered a delicacy that rivals chicken. If you're up for a new taste adventure, don't miss this dish!
China Poblano
We ate here, four adults, and enjoyed the food! It's a unique twist on Asian and Mexican food. They are served separately out of different kitchens. We tried everything on the menu and enjoyed it all! There were no bad dishes, and that's impressive! I highly recommend the guacamole made by your table and get the spicy stuff on the side. My wife recommends chicken tacos. The drinks are also great all around! The only issue we had was our server being rude at the beginning. He was a bit snippy with us but warmed up after 20 minutes or so. We will definitely be back again!
Everything we had was delicious and fresh, we didn't feel like we over ate even tho we had a lot of food. Not pictured are the rest of the veggie dim sum, a carnitas taco, and fish taco. Pictured (chicken lettuce wraps, forget the real name) were very good. That's fried sweet potatoes on top. We're going back while we're here to get the birria tacos bc we saw them being made and they looked too good. Highly recommend this place.
China Joe's
I'm visiting Vegas for the week and wanted something quick and easy to take back to my room. Because I'm just visiting, I have no idea how to get around or where anything is without using a map. I ended up in the Albertson's parking lot where China Joe's is and figured instead of randomly driving around or spending time looking for something on Maps, I'd give China Joe's a try. The reviews were good, and I haven't had a bad experience with any Chinese food place I've been. I placed my order online and waited a little before going inside since the website said there would be a bit of a wait. One of the gentleman there called me to confirm that I placed an order, and I went inside. After I paid, I waited maybe 10 minutes inside for both my meals to be ready. When I walked in, it was empty. While I waited, three other people came in for orders. One person ordered at the counter, and the other two were there for pickups. They all got their food quickly. Once I got back to my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food and the quality. Because I didn't have any expectations, I figured it'd be ok at best. It was perfect! It was made fresh, and the flavors are on point. I got two veggie egg rolls with my order, which I was also surprised by since I'd usually have to pay for them in Cali. Overall, this place is a 10/10. I ordered orange chicken with half lo mein and half fried rice and honey shrimp also with half and half sides. The quality was perfect, the food was piping hot, and everything tasted great.
The lady taking the order was very pleasant. It was my first time there and was patient in explaining the menu and recommended items. Items are made to order and very fresh, savory, and delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
Panda Express
Portion is TINY. A 2item combo won’t be good enough for a child. The server gives us very little food. Teriyaki chicken is not cooked enough. It’s rubbery and tasteless. I have to down it with sweet and sour sauce before eating it. The rice Durante taste out look like it’s freshly made. I love pandas express but I will not return to this panda.
I used to not like panda Express now all I get is either the mushroom chicken or the honey sesame chicken and orange chicken. My stomach hurts everytime I eat Chinese food but here it doesn't hurt. Very flavorful! The people were nice enough to make fresh supergreens!
Chowking
I was on Maryland, and I was hungry. Thought I would just stop by and check the market out for something to make at home. I was on the way in and spotted the buns. From looking at the menu and seeing the size of them, I knew I had to try them. I ordered a bowl thinking it would be a good portion since the buns are pretty hearty. I was surprised at the amount of food and even more with the service. Everyone was nice to me. I asked for something spicy to accompany my meal and they gave me chilli oil. The place was clean, and people seemed to be out quickly. I didn't even go to the market. I'm glad I tried it, and I will definitely have to try all their selections of buns. Delicious, great crew as well.
I had a fantastic experience at Chowking! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and attentive employees who made me feel welcome. The restaurant has a casual yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed dining experience. Anita took our order and she is pleasant and inviting.
Wazuzu
My visit to Wazuzu was nothing short of extraordinary! The restaurant has a stunning atmosphere that perfectly blends modern elegance with a welcoming vibe. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. The attention to detail in both the food and presentation was truly impressive. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. They made me feel well taken care of without being intrusive. Wazuzu is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional culinary journey. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu. Thank you, Wazuzu, for an unforgettable evening!
Absolutely Disgusting. Ordered the Thai Chicken Salad. The only flavor is ginger. Portion was ridiculously small for over $22. There was no chicken in my "chicken" salad. Everything was soggy and gross. Literally inedible. The wonton soup had shrimp wonton, which I don't remember seeing on the menu. This might have been OK, but the shrimp were not de-veined and the flavor was extremely distasteful. Soup was not even lukewarm despite me arriving less than 5 minutes after my text that the food was ready arrived. I spent $45 on dinner and literally had to throw it all away and eat a Kind bar for dinner because the food was not even edible. Extremely disappointing.
Rice to Go
I placed an order for their house special fried rice. It comes with all the meat options, including shrimp. The food was ready right away and the to go plate was packed, so great portion sizes. The flavor of the fried rice is delicious. I love a good whole in the walk with great food and no nonsense service.
About as awful as it could possibly be. Walking in, I considered turning around and not purchasing anything because it was so dirty and disorganized inside… I stuck with it and thought maybe they had some magnificent food…. They did not. This is the epitome of a business owner that has zero pride or drive in delivering quality results to the community. Completely awful. I ordered two egg rolls and crab rangoons… this cost $15. I didn’t eat in the restaurant because it was so dirty, I didn’t want to touch anything. I had a bite of a crab Rangoon and the only thing I could taste is old expired dirty oil…. I don’t think they have changed the fry oil in years, maybe decades. I tried a bite of one egg roll… also old oil taste. No other flavors. Horrific. Do not go here. Please save yourself some money and time. I don’t even feel comfortable giving this food to a homeless person in fear of getting them sick.
