China Buffet
Absolutely the worst place I’ve eaten. Charging steak house prices for you to eat off paper plates. Food quality i gave one star because its the lowest possible. It’s worse than 1 star.
Without a doubt the worst Chinese food I've eaten. After reading two glowing reviews I decided to stop on my way through. Well I'm convinced both reviews were from people affiliated with the restaurant. Also they use Styrofoam plates. Sorry, do not normally post bad reviews.
Jin Jin
You can see in the photo why I gave 1. I didn’t give ZERO because don’t have the option. I asked for a House SPECIAL low main. I received just macaroni and five extremely small shrimp.
The food is great! They made it how i like, i was very pleased. However, my chicken fried rice only had 5 pieces of tiny chicken. Other then that, no issues.
Great Wall | Chinese Restaurant
My recent visit was my last. It had been around 6 months since my last visit. Upon entering we was asked to pay prior to our dining. Ok, no problem. It was near ly $30 dollars for 2 buffets. At this time we discovered that there are no longer any waitresses. You are given Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. The buffet was not hot and the wait time on getting item replenished was just lacking. There was a select few places to sit due to tables that needed to be cleaned. It really was a disappointment from the Great Wall in the past.
Food was tuff as leather. They don't have the selection of food as most places you go with a buffet. And paper plates and plastic cups still it's awful. Loved this place when I was younger man has it gone down hill bad. Don't waste ur time just go somewhere else
Golden Buffet
I’ve been coming to Golden Buffet since I was five years old, and it’s always been one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Lexington! The food is consistently amazing—definitely a 10/10—with authentic flavors that never disappoint. Now that I’m a young adult, every visit brings back nostalgic memories. Their recent renovation looks beautiful—modern and super inviting—and the staff is always so sweet and welcoming. Golden Buffet has never let me down!
Cleanest buffet I've been to, including parking lot & bathrooms. Service was on top of it the entire visit. Food was hot and fresh. Price is a value considering cleanliness, service, quality & selection. Will return. Everything was good, but a few favorites we tried this visit were the seafood pizza, apple pie & fried potatoes.
Taste of China
The customer service is very good here. The staff is very nice. I don't agree with having to pay for a soda when I am just drinking water. The food was alright, not as good area Jade Garden but it is decent. There isn't a wide selection of food like Jade Garden nor is the buffet as fresh. It's a good place to eat at when Jades Garden is closed.
nice buffet , but you can tell this place has been hit hard from covid, they downsized and don't have sushi or grill, and limited the food to 3 rows not 5 like they had. so rhe food was good service was great. Hopefully they get back were they were!!
Panda Express
Okay, yes, Panda Express is a fast food Chinese restaurant, so maybe you shouldn't expect much. However, I am comparing this to other Panda Express restaurants that I have been to, and it was terrible both with quality and quantity. It has been some time since I've been to one, so maybe they've all gone downhill. Idk. The noodles were like something out of a top ramen packet, and the fire roasted chicken was little more than nuggets of breading, and the amount given was barely more than a tablespoon and mostly just pineapple. I took the chicken and the pineapple out and laid them side by side on the lid next to my fork so that you could get a good view of just how rediculous the portion was. The honey walnut shrimp was still tasty as I remembered it being, and the portion was good too, but that is probably because you have to pay extra for that entree. I would not recommend you go to this place until they improve.
Drive thru experience: ordered family meal which includes 2 sides and 3 mains. From order to receiving food, it was a 17 minute wait. Portion size for each was good, spice/heat level was great, food was hot. Flavor was what you'd expect for chain restaurant. Very salty. It's been open for years, but this was our first visit. We hesitated to try it because of several negative reviews on Google Maps. Would recommend family meal, portion sizes were good, and it was nice to try several dishes. Price was average, considering what we pay at China King.
City King Buffet
Pleasantly surprised! On business travel and took a chance on City King Buffet. The restaurant was clean and seemingly well managed. Service was very good with a smile. The food was fresh and restocked in a timely fashion. The food tasted good, was hot, and presented well. If in the area, I would return for a meal.
Really great Chinese buffet 😋.!! They had alot of options as a Chinese buffet should have.! They had hibachi and sushi 🍣 too.! I didn't get a chance to try everything but what I did eat was really good. The sushi I tried was super good and the fried or grilled shrimp 🍤 plus the lady was fast and was on it with her attending all her tables.!!
China Max
The mail is the only reason this place gets business. Food was trash i literally wasted 70 bucks. They ran out of the bourbon street chick had a half a scoop. She asked if I would like some General sous chicken instead. I said yes. She charged me for a double order just because I had two meats. Horrible we will never go back.
Where to start. Well, only four entrees off of the whole menu were available and after sitting down to eat we found the food was not enjoyable and very dry. There was a point where I decided that I wanted something to drink with my meal so I went back up to the counter. The employee behind the counter was off to the side and on her phone. She acknowledged me and told me to wait "just five seconds". Not a problem at all. However, after standing there for well over a minute waiting looking at a cooler of bottled drinks that no one would have to take time to prepare; I decided to go over to Sbarro where I was instantly greeted and waited on by employees who were not on their phones. Not a good experience, I would have much rather eaten literally anywhere else
Hua Ming Chinese Restaurant
Please do not eat here unless you want food poisoning. I took one bite of the sesame chicken and immediately spit it up. The bathroom is horrid. It’s expensive for no reason. Tiny selection and terrible food. I was in the bathroom washing my hands and an angry Chinese man started yelling at me. There is also mold everywhere the booths are the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat in. I’ve been in pain for days after eating here from food poisoning.my chicken had the texture of a lugi. All the 1 star reviews are true. This place sucks and is a health code violation. Please get it shut down to prevent further pain and possibly hospital trips.
I ordered Broccoli and Shrimp through DoorDash from Hua Ming Chinese Restaurant, and was very disappointed. When the order arrived, it only had broccoli — there were no shrimp at all. How can you serve Broccoli and Shrimp without the shrimp? I called the restaurant to let them know, but instead of apologizing, the lady at the restaurant blamed DoorDash, saying the driver forgot to bring it. That doesn’t make sense — the shrimp should have been packed with the rest of the food. It’s not the driver’s job to check if the restaurant forgot an item. This shows a lack of responsibility and poor service. I will not be ordering from here again.
King Buffet LLC
Mom and I used to come here often, but it gets rather uncomfortable when the workers stands around and stare while eating. Plus while eating they will put condiments shakers back in tray or etc while hovering over your drink and meal. I personally don't like where their clothing is touching my straw and they should wait until the people are finished eating or have left before taking their plates or putting items on table back in their place. I am assuming they were having an off day as the foods on buffet bar was cold. I wish they would bring back the rest of the foods they had before covid, but why wish when it will probably be awhile before coming back.
It is definitely the best Chinese buffet in the area. They have opened up the other tables again so there is more to choose from. They do a pretty good job. Now the waitresses leave something to be desired. They remove your plates on time. My son had to drink out of my glass because his was empty and they never refilled. But mostly it is fine except you get a vibe from them that your existence is annoying to them. We tip 15% or more and don't leave trash lying around so I don't think it is anything we do. They just have a sort of pursed lip irritation about them. But we don't see them much so it isn't that big a deal. The food is very good though
Great Wall
Fresh, hot and delicious Chinese food 😋Definitely will come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I especially enjoyed the pepper chicken and the general tsos.
I'm not a big eater but this place was awesome
Panda Express
When I came to the front of the line, there was no plates. Asked for my usual and was told they did not have Orange Chicken, Chow mein, and grilled teriyaki chicken. I just said thank you and left. I can not believe at peak lunch hour, you do not have the most popular entrees and sides. All they had left was the meals that had premiums on them that you have to pay almost 3 more dollars for. The workers did not even continue to make more food. It looked like they were closing down or did not have the ingredients. Some people I saw left as well. This was the worst state I have seen for this location.
Rudest employee’s you’ll possibly ever encounter. I don’t know how they are still employed. You feel hustled every time you order, even if you know exactly what you want
