Meh. Ordered Sezhuan wontons. Wontons were not crispy but did have a decent sauce on them. Ordered pepper chicken and it was decent. Ordered egg rolls which is a pair. I am critical of egg rolls and judge Chinese restaurants on how good their egg rolls are. These were too thick and this were chewy. Meager bland filling and i tossed them after two bites. Overall between 2-3 stars and i gave benefit of the doubt with 3. Do not expect the utensils provided to be useful. The forks are so tiny and wimpy they are almost useless. I held two together to make them work

The food is amazing and always hot. The staff is kind, professional and quick. I go at least 3 times a month. And I recommend them for their egg fu young, chicken wings and fried rice. They are an awesome and almost gourmet Chinese food restaurant with very reasonable prices. A+++++.

For the people who complain about paying before you eat: this man has bills to pay and when 30 plus people run out without paying, it takes away from his ability to pay his staff, perform maintenance and upkeep and keep his doors open. Most restaurants are pay before you eat, so please stop posting self entitled idiotic comments intending to ruin this man’s business and reputation. For the intelligent few: I come here about once a week for 3-3.5 plates of food for about $20. At $6 a full plate and unlimited soft drink (Dr. Pepper, of course) that’s a great deal given the economy we are currently in. The man watches his customers for wastefulness because he cares. How many restaurants can say that they actively watch their wastefulness or care for that matter? It’s got a casual feel to the place. There’s no dress code, no formal attire required, and no reservations needed. The staff are family or close enough to it. How many owners sit down and eat with their staff much less work beside them? I don’t keep coming back because he has the largest buffet selection in the state, because he doesn’t. I don’t keep coming back because I can always find an empty spot for myself to sit, watch a few anime shows and get stuffed. That’s my normal routine. I come back again and again to support a small business man trying to put food on the table while creating a wonderful atmosphere for both his customers and his employees.

This is a great place to eat for family party or individual dining. They have reasonable prices, nice services, along with great food. I see they’ve added a new dish, which is amazing, and are doing a summer special promotion thing. I think this is a great value and you should give it a try!

This place used to be great years ago but now they charge way to much and give you very small portions also the lady is very snippy like all of the time. Gonna find another restaurant.

I love coming here only for their dumplings!!!! You have to try this!!! So delicious! I love the sauce that they have for dipping. It's sweet but not too sweet. The filling is plentiful. Serves 6 dumplings in one order. I love it! Will get it again

I had sweet and sour chicken. Chicken was dark like it had been cooked too long or sat under the heat lamp for too long. It was also breaded more like fried chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was in packets. It was edible but overall not impressed.

We enjoyed our meal. I would gladly return as the price was fair and the selection was good too.

There’s been a time or two where they have been out of a lot of food but overall they tend to have menu items prepared. Food is pretty consistent in taste and amounts. Recently tried their steamed broccoli and I’m actually a fan of it. Love the sweet fire chicken (has a little kick if you’re not used to hot food). Mixed greens are a good low calorie option, as well as string bean chicken (I think).

Panda has really declined over the years. Not sure what happened. It's never been a healthy option, but it used to taste good. The Chow Mein was dry and without flavor. Hardly anything in it either. The Orange Chicken was hollow in flavor. After the initial foretaste there was nothing there. Maybe it was old. Beijing Beef used to be their flagship, but it was also dry and had an oily taste. Very bland too. Honestly it was the very least enjoyable visit than at any time in the past I'd been. And this is finishing a slow decline. Service was standard. Not good or bad. Cleanliness was so so. Just a below expectations visit. If anything, it was good for my kid as the noodles had so little veggies in it, they really liked it. It can be affordable. If you combine options, like ordering a Bigger Plate and a side of noodles, you can feed two for less than $20 , which is what we did.

I lived and worked in Spring Hill for a few years and ate here all the time. Had great General Tso chicken. Probably haven’t eaten here in at least 10 years. Stopped by for a General Tso’s chicken lunch special…and I’m not sure what happened to this place. What I got was an to-go container of oddly flavored orange chicken nuggets that wasn’t even on par with something I could’ve gotten in the frozen food section around the corner at Price Chopper. It was hot and obviously freshly made. That’s the only good thing I can say about it. Disappointing doesn’t begin to describe it.

Special favorite place to me, with friendly service and have been for many years how. I'm "Hot Mustard" nickname, and I tell everyone about the best place to enjoy Great Chinese Food! 😃😄😆

This is a decent buffet. Comments about being overpriced are unfortunate because you get to eat unlimited plates of good fresh quality food including sushi/sashimi, at $15 (lunch) or $21(dinner) is an amazing deal. I agree some people think the food temperature was a bit on the lukewarm side, I purposely dish out a steaming plate of food, but by the time you finish going around the entire buffet options and sit down, the food on your plate may not be as steaming anymore 😆. So if you want hot 🥵 food, get one dish and go straight to your seat and eat it straight away. A good tip on getting hotter temp is to stir the food around if it's something that can be moved around, like a pan of coconut shrimp or soup, get the portion at the bottom because whatever is sitting on top will be cooler and not touching the steam table at the bottom. Overall, the service was very attentive, our server was from Bali/Indonesia and he was very friendly and cleared all our empty plates constantly. We also saw him check on all the nearby tables nonstop. The only reason it didn't get the final star is because there was no lobster tails option during weekend dinner as advertised. Nevertheless, if you're poofed out from shopping at the Legends, or need a Chinese buffet fix, and starving, this buffet might be a good place to pig out.

When we went to the restaurant, it was around 4 in the afternoon on a Friday. I was anticipating a large crowd, but it wasn't very busy yet. The food at that time was fresh. From the buffet area, we can see one of the chefs/cooks grilling the meat. The baked lobsters are also freshly put on the serving tray and steaming hot. Although I am limited to what I can eat, they offer a wide variety of cuisine. With the kind of diet I have, I still walked out of Golden Apple Buffet Restaurant feeling full. My favorite was the peppered chicken thighs. It was cooked just right. The restaurant had grilled steak, baked lobsters, pizza, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, various shrimp dishes, beef and broccoli, crab Rangoon, egg rolls, fries, and a lot more. They had crabs, cocktail shrimp, and mussels all on ice. They had a selection of sushi, fruits, and dessert. In the end, there's a mini deep freezer with multiple flavors of ice cream cups. There's a lot more. The staff was friendly. Our waiter (young gentleman) was attentive on taking the plates off the table. The only thing that we didn't like was that there's a lot of seating available, but we were put close to the bathroom. Overall, it seems worth giving another try.

They were very understanding our party of 6 included 4 small children that made a mess!!!! We offered to clean it but the staff thereon this date absolutely refused. I'd recommend this one panda express to the prime minister of China bc of the level of service they provided my little tribe.

My rating is solely based on the limited menu selection at this location. I live 1 minute away from this location- but I can’t go to it, because the closest location that serves Beyond Orange chicken is in the next county over 15 minutes away. I was hoping that eventually they’d get it, but it’s been months and still no beyond orange chicken. 💔

For Ottawa, this was one of the most sweetest lunch spots I’ve been to. I went to the lunch buffet with my mom, and the older gentleman and lady were such sweethearts. This was our first time ever going to China Palace. Now anytime I’m able to, I’ll be dragging other relatives here.

We enjoy going here a few times a month, if we get lucky enough! The food is decent and the service is awesome! It's not a huge Buffett, but it's enough for my family! 😊

I have only had one dish, so I am not sure why there are multiple poor reviews. What I had, Spicy Chicken in Garlic sauce, exceeded my expectations based on price and size. I believe it to be good value. The food came out quickly. The chicken was good and tender (better than most chicken in other Asian spots on 4th). The vegetables were fresh and deliciously al dente. I wished it was spicier and had more garlic, but that was easily fixed with the garlic chili I had in my cabinet. The staff were friendly, and I am sure they would work to make you happy. Will ask for more spice and garlic next time.

Very nice place for quick and easy takeout the food was good The noodles didn’t have much flavor but the amazing crab Rangoon’s more than made up for it. The lady at the counter was very friendly. The portions for the price were fantastic Would definitely recommend and come back ! T

2025: Ordered crabrangoons, 6 come in an order and total $12 with tax! They are TINY! Won’t be returning. Very unfortunate because this place is very close to home. 2024: Not great, not bad. Not a fan of the crabrangoons or egg rolls.

The owners are absolutely wonderful. We’ve become fast friends over the year, and they are always gracious and kind! Love the crab Rangoon, gluten free rice noodles with chicken, and honey chicken! The kids love it here too! Everything is made hot and fresh. Carry out and delivery only.

I normally don’t leave reviews, this is our first time ordering from this place. We paid over $80 for five items and the portion sizes are very small for 13.95-18.95 each (at least for take out). The egg foo Yong taste really bad and that’s my favorite every time we order Chinese food. The egg drop soup has a metallic flavor and will not let my children eat it. The broccoli and beef was good but once again, the portion size was very small. Overall, It’s a waste of money and I’m extremely disappointed. We’re not coming back to this place again

Not a good experience overall first red flag was an empty parking lot and when I walked in the restaurant and no body came out for 5 minutes I asked for a Mai Tai and the young man at the front did not know what it was and said he doesn’t have it, I asked for a cranberry and vodka and they couldn’t make that, the food quality was very poor, My General Tso’s chicken was watery and very bland, The broccoli looked very old and it wasn’t even cooked Our crab Rangoons had no crab meat in it, my food came out 10 minutes before my wife’s did so she was watching me eat. She got cashew chicken and the closest thing I can relate it to is wet dog food. You can tell they microwave the food due to it being an uneven temperature throughout the meal. The rice is very unflavored and super dry. Overpriced for low quality food so now I’m $60 poorer than before still hungry so now I have to go to McDonald’s I will not be back
