Uncle Zhou
Not having actually been to China, this place seems as if it is the real thing when it comes to authentic Hunan Chinese cuisine. The pulled noodles were a perfect consistency, served with small scissors, steaming hot and perfectly proportioned with bean spouts and vegetables. The dumplings were simple but perfectly steamed seasoned. My wife ordered the Orange Chicken and was not disappointed. Prices were reasonable and portions were good. The setting was basic, but fitting with the price and open kitchen layout of the restaurant. Certainly worth a try. The hand-pulled noodles are a must!
8 of us came for lunch. Their POS system are down, they have to taking order by hand written orders and check. All three waitress are super busy and very minimal service provided. But we fully understand their difficulties and help ourselves with like water and eating utensils . All the items we ordered were very good, very tasty. We highly recommend the hand pull noodles, even now is made by a well trained Mexican lady! And many kitchen staff also Hispanic personnel!, and they are doing a wonderful job. Highly recommended!
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
This PeiWei location has been great lately. It's always very clean with great food and service. Now it has GAME NIGHT! The family will love this. Plus discounts for the kids?! I see fun nights ahead for sure. It'll especially be nice for rainy days.
My wife ordered take out from this location on 11/15/2024 and our Gluten Free Kung Pao Chicken came with the top cap of the pea box on top of our food, disgusting!! Also, asked for no scallions and got scallions in the dish anyway. I immediately called the store manager after receiving the to-go order and he stated he would refund us for the dish. Not only did he not refund us, I had to call back again on 11/18/2024 to speak to a different manager by the name of Tanner who wrote down my information and stated he would refund me since the original store manager that I spoke to wasn't there that day. He never refunded us either. Terrible customer service by both managers and disgusting food preparation by this location! I also sent a complaint directly to their customer service website and never received a response back. We would order from this location on a weekly basis. Never giving this place business again.
Hunan Bistro (Dallas)
My friend has been to this restaurant a few times and recommended it to me, so we came together today. The family style stir-fried pork and eggplant were both delicious, perfectly match to my taste, and great with rice. The fish was my friend’s favorite, but personally, I wouldn’t highly recommend it. Overall, the experience was excellent—the service was good, and the prices were reasonable.
UPDATE 11/8/24: Second visit here! Had a hankering for the Hot Tango Fish Filet, so Mom and I returned here this past Friday(11/8) - right after they opened for lunch. Delicious and perfectly balanced with a hint of spice. Pair it with steamed white rice and some chrysanthemum tea and that’s all you really need. We had more than enough to box up the remainder and take home for another two meals. Service was prompt and efficient. Will return here frequently. ———————————————————————— A Yelp! suggestion led us here after a hankering for Pickled Fish Filets. Mom and I were the first patrons after opening for Lunch. We were greeted by Li and given a choice of where to sit. The ambiance is traditional with beautiful elements as evidenced by the numerous Chinese Lanterns hanging in the intimate dining space. He gave us a few minutes to look at the Menu and was very attentive, friendly, and cordial. We ordered: 1.) Chrysanthemum Tea 2.) Sautéed Asparagus Lettuce with Garlic 3.)Hot Tango Fish Filet The Chrysanthemum Tea arrived first and can best be described as delicate and refreshing, with a mildly and subtly sweet flavor profile. Rock sugar was provided on the side to control and enhance the intensity. Our Food was out of the kitchen and delivered to our table within ten minutes. I was especially impressed to find that what we ordered was exactly like the pictures from the website. Presentation and Taste, Food Quality, and Service were right on point. Portions ideal and reasonably priced. Mom and I enjoyed every bite and had more than enough to box up the remainder and take home. The fragrant spices, savory, satisfying, mouth-watering, and pickled taste imparted by the garlic, red chilis, scallions, and delicately tender fish, followed by the mildly tingling/numbing sensation on the palate and depth of flavor truly exceeded my expectations. The rice was the ideal accompaniment and complemented the Hot Tango Fish Filet. The Sautéed Asparagus Lettuce had just the right texture. The minced garlic was a nice touch. It truly enhanced and gave it a contrast of flavor. Moreover, I wasn’t left with an uncomfortably full feeling like some other Chinese Restaurants. MSG doesn’t appear to have been used as I did not get a headache or migraine. This was my experience; yours may be different. We will return to try other Menu Items.
SEE YOU AGAIN 不见不散音乐主题串吧
Once you walk in, you can be happy to know that the decorations in the restaurant is very nice and organized. The decor definitely makes this place come alive. Also with the food is amazing! Compared to Fatni, it is seasoned well and not hard to chew, it’s easy to chew and digest compared to other places! Come check it out!
This was a first time eating here and we had an amazing experience. We were immediately greet and sat down. As you do when trying a new place the menu can be overwhelming our waitress answered any and all he questions we had we ended ordering the Beef Lo Mien and BBQ skewers. Which the skewers were hands down the best part. The meat was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be returning.
Yao Fuzi Cuisine
I visited this place for the first time and loved it. The atmosphere inside is awesome - dimmed lights, fish tank, authentic decoration. I ordered jellyfish and duck as a food and a Copper Rose cocktail. Everything was spot on. Jellyfish was crunchy, juicy and had a vibrant taste. The duck was extremely juicy, this was probably the first time I actually enjoyed a duck. The cocktail was just fine. The prices here are on the higher end, but considering the food quality, I think this is fine for a special occasion.
This was my very first visit to this establishment. PB has been here before several years ago and told me that it’s fancy and food was good. My hair was messy, bc it’s been raining and yucky and have been running errands since the morning. We were seated right away by a nice hostess lady. Our server(older Chinese woman with a short hair)was very short and abrupt kept coming back every few seconds to take our order when in fact I hadn’t had time to look over the menu. She was very impatient even after I told her this was my first time coming here. When we decided to order and I told her I wanted Za Jiang noodles, but didn’t want pork, she said pork was already in a sauce. I didnt even want to ask her if I could have it with different sauce with no meat, bc I knew she wasn’t even going to accommodate me. I told her PB wants a big bowl of egg drop soup and she said “we don’t do that!”. She said it’s small or medium and comes with a meal, so we got 2 medium and I gave him mine. We ordered shrimp and crab fried rice. My crab fried rice was decent, but PB’s shrimp fried rice was bland, 4 shrimp and lots of peas and carrots and he didn’t like it. He put soy sauce on his fried rice like the White guy from the movie, Joy Luck Club, but it still was bland. How do you mess up shrimp fried rice in this fancy, expensive Chinese eatery? The impatient lady didn’t serve us anymore and we got another one. She looked poisoned each time he asked for Coke. I got hot sauce from a nice male server and the hot oil was very hot! The only nice thing the female server did was to put my food in a container. No smile, nothing. I felt that those 2 female servers were very snobbish towards us from the beginning and I don’t appreciate to be treated in a such way, especially this is a so-called high end Chinese restaurant. I find their behavior to be very unprofessional and unpleasant. They were very unfriendly and unwelcome and I really didn’t enjoy the dining experience because of them. Besides that, I’m glad I got to experience how they treated us with snobbery, so we know not to return. We will continue to go to Zhang’s Asian Bistro Kitchen where we’re welcome, staff/owner are nice and food is excellent.
KungFu Noodle
I recently visited Kung Fu Noodle on a snowy day in Texas, and it was the perfect spot to warm up! As a ramen enthusiast, I had passed by this place many times, but this time I decided to give it a try since it was conveniently located across the street. Upon entering, I was greeted, but the staff member seemed a bit pushy about taking my order. I asked for a moment to look over the menu, and I appreciated the chance to decide at my own pace. I ended up ordering the Szechuan Noodle Bowl, drawn in by the fact that they make their noodles in-house. The bowl arrived, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint! Everything in the dish—from the fresh veggies to the perfectly cooked meat and the homemade noodles—was fantastic. The flavor was rich and satisfying, and I didn't feel the need to add anything extra. I’m excited to bring my family back and will definitely recommend Kung Fu Noodle to my ramen-loving friends. A great find for a cozy meal!
Great price with adequate quantity for the price. The crispy salt pepper chicken was delicious, super crispy and the texture was great. The beef noodle soup was the clear broth and the soup had good flavor but it's not my go to favorite beef noodle soup. The braised rib rice was just so so, not something I'd get again. The most disappointing one was the marinated beef shank. The beef slices were too thick, the marinate was too salty, and just overall not that great. There's other places that taste better.
Master Wok
Early dinner dine in, counter style, We had hot and sour soup, beef lo mein, and orange chicken, beef was delicious, not chewy or rubbery like most Asian places, noodles done perfect. Everything was fresh, firm, hot,(temp) and tasty. Loved it.
The food was freshly cooked and tasted excellent. The hot and sour soup had a few pieces of chicken in it, so if you're vegetarian just be on the lookout, otherwise it's fantastic! Orange chicken was spicy, crunchy and fresh! Brown rice with it was pretty darn good!
Canton Express
This charming, beautiful little piece of heaven is a rare find now a days, it’s steeped in tradition, family and quality and I have to say it’s mine an my Girlfriends new favorite Chinese spot, the family has a beautiful story and is holding a beautiful tradition in there food, it’s unique, it’s delicious, it’s simply a place apart that you don’t see much of anymore, as someone with deep family values myself I love this perfect little slice of love, it reminds me of my family and I highly recommend
Small Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. Restaurant is a little run down and it's cluttered but the service and food were very good. Lunch prices are fair. Recommend.
Dumpling House
I’ve been here years ago and it’s still very good! We ordered the pork with chives pan fried dumplings(very tasty and crispy)! We saw that they had a lunch special with come with soup and spring roll! I had the sesame chicken (there were too much sauce but it was tasty), my husband had the Mongolian beef which had way too much sauce, the portion was huge, a lot more than my sesame chicken! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely go back and tried other entrees!
Saw this from “eatindallas” TikTok page and it did not disappoint! We got the beef chow mein, crispy spicy chicken, steamed house signature buns, and the chocolate soup dumplings for dessert. Service was phenomenal and everything had such great flavor! We want to come back and try the pan fried dumplings and soup dumplings.
Z Tao Kitchen
A family member got this duck and I’m not sure what the name is but I’m guessing it’s tea smoked duck. The duck was umami and had a sweet smoky taste. The meat was tender but also firm as it was well brined, the skin had a nice Chinese spices flavor, soft/fatty with a slight snap.
I go to this restaurant for my lunch recently. They locate inside the supermarket, ztao market. They serve Chinese roasted meat, sushi, and hibachi. I usually order one beef hibachi or rice noodle, it's always good. Sometimes my colleagues go with me, they like this place too. The food here fits most people, if you hold a party, or have a meal together with colleagues, this is the place.
Awesome Chinese Cuisine 五餅二魚
This place is definitely a hidden gem. They’ve been open maybe 1.5 years. The owners are as sweet and sincere as can be. The food is absolutely delicious and flavorful, reasonably priced as well. The Peking duck speaks true to form. A must go with your friends so you can order more. It’s a very unassuming place but this place will be a regular
This is a cozy and welcoming restaurant—the staff are all very friendly! They offer unlimited unsalted peanuts as a starter, serve warm water in mugs with lemon slices, and even include free white rice with the beef brisket tofu pot we ordered! We had the beef brisket tofu pot and the seafood crispy noodles. Both dishes were hearty and packed with ingredients, including a good amount of vegetables. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Won BBQ
Tried this place for lunch on Saturday. We got the seafood pancake and bbq beef combo A. With the side dishes and the cheese corn, soup, and salad that came with the combo, my mom and I were stuffed with leftovers for later. The beef quality was amazing and service was great! Place is also very clean as well and the cocktails we had were very tasty! I say that the price was worth it. I'm sure we'll be back!
The barbecue here was absolutely delicious, though I think part of that came from the server cooking everything for us. The meat was perfectly smoky with just the right amount of crisp. We ordered the Beef B set, which included a generous variety of beef cuts alongside some vegetables. The experience felt like a show in itself, especially when flames occasionally erupted from the grill—it reminded me of those hibachi-style restaurants. The side dishes that came with the Beef B were so good they disappeared within seconds. The cheese corn was wonderfully creamy and cheesy but still light in flavor, while the soup was warm and comforting. All the banchans were enjoyable, except for the scallion pancake, which was cold and felt a little stale. The other dishes on the menu were equally great. The Volcano Hot Pot especially, with a perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness. The vegetables were fresh and the meat tender. Again, it was cool watching the server cook it. Overall, the great flavors and the entertaining cooking process made for a really memorable dining experience!
