Golden China Restaurant (Madison AL)
The service was really nice and every customer got treated with respect. The food was awesome. I felt very full after my lovely meal. The atmosphere is very cozy and laid back. It’s not the fanciest place, but I would definitely choose this restaurant over a fancy restaurant.
My go to for Chinese food in the area! Is it the best I’ve ever had? No, but it’s the best around here…family owned, super friendly, and accommodating if you want to make adjustments. Food is always hot even when I open it when I get home. My favorite hot n sour soup in town. Loads of options!
P.F. Chang's
We had an awesome experience visiting P.F. Chang's! Our server Cassy walked us through the menu and helped us pick out some delicious options and just overall made the evening so fun. Everything came out super fast and tasted great, so we'll definitely be back again!
It was amazing to finally have this special dinner out with my daughters. The food here is impressive and worth the trip. It was also an added bonus to receive such good attentive care from our server. Denzel’s kindness does not go unnoticed. The atmosphere is personal and quiet. Very enjoyable all around and the special dietary accommodations were an added bonus.
Meteor Buffet
Excellent customer service and fresh food! Always a treat to go to eat there. They have a great Hibachi Grill and variety of Chinese, sushi, Seafood, and American fare. Recommend anyone to eat there.
I never get to come to this part of town much anymore, but I was able to tonight since I was here last they have remodeled everything yet. It is still Huntsville‘s best oriental buffet highly recommend. They also have the best crawfish I have had in a long time
Oriental Express
When we moved to Huntsville, we were anxious to find a go to Chinese restaurant and tried out a few different ones in the Midcity area. After trying Oriental Express, we knew we found our spot. It’s affordable, classic Chinese American cuisine that never fails to hit the spot. Especially the egg drop soup! My husband and I split the dinner entree, which is only $15, and have tried every type of chicken so far, the teriyaki and the oriental with lo mein is our favorite.
The food is always fresh and good here, also the customer service is fantastic. You can walk in and out within 10 minutes with your food. The prices here are always great for what you get. 12$ gets you a lot here. It's more than I can eat in one setting most of the time. The place is a bit run down, but don't let that stop you from trying them out.
Rice Box
The service was terrible! I inquired about the Chicken with Broccoli before placing my order and received an answer that made me want to try the dish. However, when it arrived, it was not visually appealing to me, so I asked if I could exchange it for something else. The manager replied, “No refunds or exchanges. You should know what you want to order.” Letting a customer swap out a dish they don’t like is a key aspect of good customer service because it shows that the establishment values customer satisfaction and is willing to accommodate individual preferences. It can help build a positive relationship with customers, encouraging them to return and recommend the place to others. Additionally, it demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to listen to feedback, which can enhance the overall dining experience.
This was my first time to Huntsville we ate dinner here I ordered a variety of different things and not one of them disappointed! All the food was so good! The staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly! We ordered a walk-in take-out our wait time didn’t take a long time. It was just all around a good experience ! Highly recommend !
China One
My husband and I ate here today after his appointment in Birmingham. I got the General Tso with white rice and he got the Sweet and Sour chicken with noodles. We looked at the reviews before coming inside and I have to say, I don’t understand the negative reviews. Everything was spot on. The lovely lady who took our order was very friendly and the service was excellent. The food…. Absolutely delicious! I honestly wish we had this place up home. As we ate our lunch, they started to pick up business wise and not one time did I hear anyone get rude. We will definitely be back.
Hole-in-the-wall Chinese place with your typical Americanized menu. Food came out slower than expected for a fast food style Chinese place. Mixed reviews on food. Moo Shu pork did not come with Hoisin sauce to make my wrap and they were confused when I asked. It had flavor but not enough to need the pancakes or rice, also, no mushrooms? Pancakes were well wrapped (and difficult to open). White rice was okay. Lunch boneless spare ribs had decent flavor, fried rice was bland and dry. Fried chicken wings were large (can easily be a meal), could use more flavor, but were pleasantly crispy. Confused because they definitely spoke Chinese, figured food would be more authentic, but should have left when I realized there was no fish tank.
Steam Boys
The Beef Noodle Soup was fantastic. The broth was incredible, and the meat literally melted in our mouths. The golden color and light crunch on the dumplings and bao were also great, and both were scrumptious 😋! I didn't really care for the soup dumplings, but with the broth from the soup in them, everyone who tried them sang their praises! Also, our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She didn't even mind when my friend spilled half of her soup! 🥰 We plan to return the next time we're in the area.
The service is terrible. The staff acts like you’re bothering them by being there. If you order the unlimited dumplings on Tuesdays, you have to get up to order more every time, which means waiting in line if there is one. The menu is underwhelming. Noodles are like regular pasta noodles and not asian style. I like the texture of the popcorn chicken, but didn’t care for the 5-spice seasoning. If I ever return, which is a big if, I would ask for those without the seasoning.
Darlene's Kitchen
A very quiet diner with good service, almost too good to where it could be annoying. The mushroom cheese omelette was good other than the mushrooms were cold. It was very cold in here also. This is cash only with an ATM in the place. You pretty much have to park and enter from the back of the establishment.
There is nothing good about this diner anymore. They doubled the prices and cut the portion sizes in half. The food comes out slow and is usually undercooked or overcooked. The staff are rude and get even more rude when you give them a smaller tip because of their attitude. Don't eat here, go somewhere else. You can thank me later.
Hotel Solsville
Fun, lively atmosphere. Live band, dance floor, classic American bar but with an Irish flair make this an awesome place. Sort-of hard to hear because it's really noisy, but very fun nonetheless. Lots of beer on tap with good variety. Service was solid, but nothing to write home about. Burgers were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Wings packed serious heat (I like a kick, too), but maintained a fun flavor, which isn't easy to do. Kudos to the chefs! Anyways, pretty good overall, fun for a time with friends.
Great place and even better service. As soon as i walked in the door, i was greeted like i was a long-lost friend. They called me Don the whole time i was there. I got to know their names also. Very personal and great food. I ate lunch and dinner there. Great band and sound setup.
Seven Stone Steps
Four stars only because they serve a Beef on 'Wick that is absolutely not a Beef on 'Wick. Outside of that our entire party found the food to be good to excellent. Service was amazing. Tight but fun and cozy space. Great crowd. Will return.
This is in my top Three favorite restaurants! The workers are always friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is amazing! I would recommend the Chicken Riggies or Cowboy Mac & Cheese. The popovers that the bring out are amazing as well. I would 100% recommend eating here!
New York Pizzeria
You might ask - why a 5 star rating for 3 star food? Because NY Pizzeria in Morrisville NY is a classic college town pizzeria where literally thousands of hungry students have gone for a slice after partying all night, including myself back in the day. The place hasn't changed at all after 35 years. I even met the owner who has been there all that time. It's cheap thin crust pizza with an excellent flavor cooked in a 50 year old oven. It's delicious, to me, but probably average tasting for most people.
Stumbled across this place, when we stopped for gas across the street. Dont let the look turn you away. The pizza was delicious and worth it! I would say some of the pricing is off on their menue, but still plan to take my hubby there too.
Queen Sushi & Asian Cuisine
Today , I tried Asian tiger shrimp tempura rolls and special giant beef salad in this restaurant. It was spectacular and lovely!! The sushi was just a bite of perfection and the beef salad was soooo refreshing and it’s like a celebration in my mouth. I really do recommend this sushi house cuz honestly I didn’t expect that this kind of restaurant would open in this rural area. The stuff and owner was so friendly.I would def come to that place again!
Had a great experience here! Generous proportions, attentive and friendly staff who provided top tier recommendations. Service was exceptionally fast. Lewis served us and could not have asked for anything else! Thank you! Will be back often and soon!
