I used to visit Shree Restaurant many times and really liked their food, especially the variety of vegetarian options. The Soya Tandoori Tikka is amazing! However, I recently tried their buffet, and it was disappointing. They only had 3-4 different curries, rice, and one sweet dish, all of which were below average and cold. I was shocked to be charged $18 for that quality. I usually enjoy their other menu items, but the buffet is not for me. They are also starting to offer non-vegetarian options soon, so it will no longer be an all-veg restaurant. Overall, it’s a great place, but I think the prices should be lower for what they offer.

We visited this restaurant on a late Saturday afternoon when it was fairly busy, but we managed to get a table without any wait. We began our meal with tomato soup, which came with croutons and was reminiscent of the classic Indian tomato soup—creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. Following the soup, we ordered aloo kachori as an appetizer, which turned out to be the highlight of our meal. The kachori was perfectly crunchy, and the accompanying aloo sabzi was cooked to perfection, offering a delightful burst of flavors. We also tried the crispy chili baby corn, which, while decent in taste, didn’t quite live up to its name in terms of crispiness. For the main course, we ordered chole chur chur naan, and we were thoroughly impressed by the naan’s texture and the delicious chole that paired perfectly with it. Additionally, we ordered paneer tikka masala, which was a rich and flavorful curry that brought back memories of the vibrant street food of North India. The aloo kulcha we tried was equally impressive, with its soft, flavorful filling. Despite the restaurant being understaffed with only one waiter and one server for all the tables, the service wasn’t overly slow, which was commendable. To round off our meal, we had a taste of the badam halwa, which was simply delightful. Overall, the restaurant offered good Indian food with some outstanding dishes and decent service. It’s definitely a must-try in the area!

My more 'local' favorite Chinese take out place closed around 9 months ago (Chens in Palatine) and I've been looking for a new one since - after trying a dozen+ restaurants, I think this is the winner! It's a bit of a hike from lake zurich, but so worth it for good Chinese food! (I ordered our usual favorites: sesame chicken, pork lo mein, steamed dumplings, egg roll (and one that I don't always order with my kids, hot and sour soup). I have other favorites, but those ones are the "bare minimum" of "must be great") (The Lo Mein - top right in the pic - is the one thing that I have been searching for someone else to get right since my last place closed.) I also love that for the entree, for a small upcharge, you can swap the standard included white rice for a side of fried rice, or lo mein. We rarely ate much if any of the rice, but we will eat fried rice (lo mein as well, but I usually order that as a second entree!)

One of the few Chinese food restaurants in lake county where I actually liked every dish I bought. Many restaurants in the area are only usually strong and one particular dish which sucks because if I want x I have to go to x restaurant. This is one of the few places that where everything tasted delicious!!

Food was great! Seriously gotta have the egg rolls! And the Apple pie w/ ice cream. Our meals were fabulous... service was friendly and attentive. Mai Tai was yummy. This place never disappoints. Wish we lived closer so we could come more often.

Gluten free EVERYTHING! Healthy, fresh food! Really great! Love the drink selection. I love how everything is labeled. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back often!

Do NOT come here! The manager that worked here when this location opened last year was wonderful. When she left, this location took a hit. There are 2 employees here (black female and older Hispanic female) that consistently serve TINY portions. I have never had the pleasure of them both being off. When I asked for a full scoop, the black female charged me extra! This place is getting like Chipotle. I'm done giving this location anymore dollars. I'll travel a little further to Oakrook.

Excellent service. Food is so delicious, freshly made to order and as soon as you walk in the door your taste buds are activated by all the savory ingredients & spices. Also appreciate how secure and tight the containers were especially for the curry and tikka masala. I carried out but would love to dine in next time. ***UPDATED*** Dined in today and was even more impressed with the food, cleanliness and excellent service. Food is even more delicious when dining in. Thank you so much.

TL;DR: Everything is good except the food. —————————————— Not great food…Don’t go!! The foods is no where close to the worst Indian food. It is misleading to the Americans if they eat this food and think this is how Indian food tastes like. I guess very untrained chef. A glorified and misleading menu. So, I would say try some other place. We ordered “Sizzling Mushrooms “….I still don’t understand what was sizzling about it. It was just mushrooms…very small size….coated with batter and deep fried. I paid 8 dollars on tip….on a total bill of 50$…. I am not sure why one would ask full discount and still pay so much on tip. Please don’t lie. Improve the quality of food… I have uploaded the bill. I am not sure if I see the 10% discount. I am sure you provided that but we never asked for it. Just don’t argue for telling the truth. I am afraid people will get a bad impression of Indian food. Again, we tipped for the workers effort, not for the food. Edit: I am not sure what I need help with. I was born in Indian. I know what Indian food tastes like. The ambience of the restaurant was good…the management was okay but the food was bad. I have my share of tasteless Indian food…but this was on a next level. That is why we had to leave a lot to waste. I see a lot of responses from you to other critical reviews as they don’t know how to order. Not sure why you have the very standard Indian dishes on the menu if you can’t cook the reasonably.

The food was great! If you want an authentic mom and pop Korean restaurant, this is it. We had the pan fried dumplings which were huge and you get 6 of them! The grill was charcoal, which was pretty amazing. We had the bulgogi and pork. We'll definitely be back to try more!

Visiting family and wanted Korean food. It's not the best Korean food I've had in my life, but the food was very solid and the service was perfect. I was there with a larger party, so we ordered all four BBQ meat options and they were all good. We also got bibimbap, Japchae, and a seafood pancake to share. No complaints about any of it, though the interior vibe of the restaurant felt a bit dated.

A casual restaurant serving Chinese,Thai and Japanese meals including sushi, vegetarian and vegan options. Went for a Saturday lunch and was delighted they offer lunchean specials. Available from 11am-3pm you get soup of the day along with an egg roll, entree and rice. Super affordable! We started with a Philly Roll which was delicious. Sushi is made fresh and they offer many many options. The presentation was very nice! My wife had the Beef and Broccoli gluten free which was not available on the lunch menu but it was big enough to share. Served piping hot,the flavor was amazing. I had the Chicken Lo Mein lunch special with an egg roll and Egg Drop soup. No rice since it came with noodles. Portion was enough to bring some home. With locations in Arlington Heights, Naperville and Highwood, this is definitely a place to try. I can't wait to go back !

Never knew they have this place here in carol stream. This restauranr is great. They have great choices of dish in their menu. And food was very tasty. Food was also served very fast and the waiter was very prompt. I hope they will never change the food quality. Will come back to try anither dish

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience deserves some feedback. It was my first time at this restaurant, and while the staff was polite, the service was clearly impacted by how busy and understaffed they were. We waited an hour and a half for sushi, and other tables nearby experienced similar delays. I ordered the Szechuan Broth, which I’ve enjoyed at other hot pot restaurants, but this version was disappointing. The amount of Sichuan peppercorns was overwhelming, making the broth overly numbing and inedible. It wasn’t a matter of spice tolerance—it was simply excessive. My friend’s Mushroom Broth was fine, but the Szechuan Broth left me feeling sick and later throwing up that night. The sauce and veggie bar was compact but adequate. While the waitress was courteous and did her best under the circumstances, the overall experience was disappointing. I would recommend avoiding the Szechuan Broth and hope the restaurant makes adjustments. I would suggest visiting when the restaurant is less busy to see if it improves.

Cheap restaurant, low quality food, and bad service. Triple threat, ladies and gentlemen. They are soooo stingy on the meat. I had to tell the waiter to bring me pieces that were bigger than my thumb. He brought back larger pieces, but they were all so fatty! The flavor options for the broth were bad. I wish they had miso. The service was so off! Asked for two diet cokes but never got it til the VERY end. Asked for certain sushi rolls and had to ask again why they were taking so long to come out. Mind you the restaurant was empty! The server was clueless. The options were super limited on the lunch menu it’s a joke. They practically force you to get the dinner menu and you certainly don’t get the value for your money, as the meat they serve is low quality and stingy. This place managed to do everything wrong. Want good hot pot? Go to Shabu-You.

Food was tasty, close to authentic Dongbei cuisine, only thing is that the portion is a bit small, otherwise all good

What an amazing find tonight! From the minute we walked through the door, we knew we were in for a treat! Delicious authentic Chinese food and incredible service. We started with the scallion pancake and the colorful wide cold noodles. Do not pass these up when you visit. The cold noodles are wide rice noodles served with a flavorful peanut sauce over a bed of cucumber salad. Sweet and tangy with just enough acidity. The scallion pancake has so many flaky layers bursting with scallions. We also enjoyed the lamb dumplings, cumin lamb, and the mongolian chicken. Each dish was fresh so delicious. The team's pride in what they do shines through their food and outstanding service. Forget the large chain restaurants! We love supporting local independent businesses and will definitely be back...soon!

"Suraya provided truly exceptional service - her kindness and attentiveness made our visit truly special. The food was absolutely superb, with authentic flavors that shone through in every dish. This is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a genuine culinary experience. Highly recommended!"

I recently visited the restaurant Samarkand. My friends and I came for lunch, ate, and we ordered plov and kazan kebab. And samsa. The samsa was amazing. You definitely have to come back for the samsa. We also tried the kazan kebab. Unfortunately, the potatoes in the kazan kebab were not well seasoned. But the potatoes were still good. The meat was great. Then we also got plov. The taste of the plov wasn't very good. The oil they used might have been old, or the plov just wasn't fresh. We didn't send the plov back, but we hardly ate it. We also ordered manty. However, we had to wait a long time for the manty. We also asked our waiter to add boiling water to our tea. The staff tried their best, but they need to be faster, more attentive, and more caring towards the guests. We had to call our waiter again and again many times, which caused some discomfort. I would say that the food here is delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and I like the prices. I enjoyed the taste of the food, but the service could still be improved. I will definitely come back, if only for the samsa, which I really loved.

Consistently great food here in Schaumburg and their other branches as well. Service is great and the space is big and pleasant. You can also watch the chefs cook your food in the kitchen behind the big glass! You’ll forget that this location is in a strip mall. Eat in or carry out. The next best thing if you can’t make it to Chinatown Chicago!

I enjoyed the dinner, nice atmosphere, the food was the best Mandarin I had in the area. I had the Kung pao chicken good but a little dry. The orange beef was a little dry also. The curry chicken and the sweet and sour chicken were perfect. The service was decent but they didn't follow up with refills.

Chipotle style food that combines your choice of veggies & meats, including rice & noodles. Not my thing--the noodles taste weird & the purple rice is sweet. I bought the fan favorite; I'm not a fan. The creamy sauce is a mayo base, ranch dressing-looking squirt of tastelessness. On the plus side, the service was good & the place modern & clean. Move on.

Great experience! We got there a half hour before they closed and the staff was still super friendly! Perfect date night food and then there’s so much to do in the area!
