Sakura Japanese Cuisine
The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a cozy, warm atmosphere with soft lighting and tasteful decor. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Food: The food was good. I ordered avocado roll, and tofu entree. Each dish was beautifully presented, with rich flavors. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Drinks: I tired the Asahi beer and was a well round lager. Service: The service was good with staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and able to make excellent recommendations. Overall: Overall, Sakura exceeded my expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a place to enjoy a delicious meal, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
I came in to have a meal by myself and was immediately stared down by staff like I was from another planet 🙄. Not a good start, but the food made the experience worse. Crab was pathetic and oily, the fish I ordered was bland as ever, almost as if it was taken from a local creek and cooked with no seasoning's. The sushi had to have been sitting in a fridge for most of the day because it had both mushy and hard rice pieces. I’d say I was surprised but based on the lack of hospitality and obvious prejudice, low quality is to be expected. Treat yourself and head over to Ko Fusion for some quality sushi, it’s worth the money you will inevitably lose here.
Siam Terrace
Food was phenomenal. Many vegan and vegetarian options! A must stop if you're in town and like Thai food! Pictured is Mock Duck Curry (vegan), Jasmine Tea and Fried 🍌 with 🍯!
This place was delicious!! First time in Urbana, IL. We chose this restaurant because it was mentioned in a Reddit post. We investigated on google and the pictures do not do this place justice, so I took some better photos. We ordered the red curry, the pad see mao (drunken noodles), and spicy fried rice. They were all delicious!! Service was wonderful, Thai teas were delicious and not too sweet.
Tenkyu
What a great little place. Delicious ramen and clay pot rice and tempura mushrooms. The drinks are original and delicious and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. What a lovely Sunday lunch. Thank you for having us!!
Tenkyu is a gem! The atmosphere is cozy, and the dishes are incredible. A must-visit for anyone in the area. The staff are friendly, and their recommendations, especially from Spring Z, were spot on! Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for a delightful dining experience! You can directly ask to customize your cuisine, which is amazing!
Chinatown Buffet
Our waitor practically rolled out a red carpet. He was very sweet. My glass of water was never empty, and he even poured my tea for me. I was SHOCKED. The food stands out better than previous buffets that I've been to. Wonderful atmosphere and staff are hard working. I was sad I couldn't tip my waitor in cash, but me and my buddy and I hope the healthy tip we left showed our appreciation.
Good food but they sat this guy at a table behind me and he had 3 other chairs to pick from but just HAD to set right behind me. I wanted to give him the old windmill uppercut, but I already was feeling the beginning of my food coma, so I peeled myself off the table and rolled myself out the door. But next time, that guy won't need a buffet because he's gonna eat a knuckle sandwich
Golden Wok
The little restaurant that could. The food is average to good . Depending on the dish. I fond the tables are clean. The condiments were just nasty gross. Like it never seen a cleaning towel. The atmosphere could be better if they would clean the grease film off the walls and clean up the wall art. Overall not bad for take out. Would not dine in again till its a bit more clean and sanitary.
I ordered the Kung pow shrimp with fried rice and got something completely garbage my order had 3 shrimp and white rice like how lazy is that and why would I pay all this money for 3 shrimp and white rice. Super pissed I could of order from somewhere else now everything is closing and I'm left hungry.
GG HotPot 久香火锅
Service was attentive without being overbearing, with staff regularly checking in to offer additional items or to adjust the heat of the hotpot. The atmosphere struck a pleasant balance between casual comfort and understated elegance, making it a perfect spot for both quick bites and leisurely dining. @久香火锅
Well, forget about the fried chicken wings, their barbecue wings is one of the best I’ve had in my life! Highly recommend!
Ten Second Rice Noodle
Great food, really big portion sizes for the broths and noodles. Highly recommend checking this place out at least once
Absolutely amazing place. It is a little on the expensive side, but if you restrict yourself to one dish per visit, it’s actually pretty affordable. Everything on their menu that I’ve tried has been delicious. They even have a high quality take out bag as well as a way to keep your noodles from getting soggy. You get a free snack with your order too!! Service is also top notch, just stay seated and they will get your food to you. They have a really efficient set up and your food is ready in less than 5 minutes (Mine actually came halfway through writing this review) It might come a little hot because its made to order, so just ask for a small bowl, transfer some brother and enjoy your meal straight away! Near closing, you can even catch some of the employees eating their delicious noodles, just in case you needed more convincing! TD;DR Delicious, authentic chinese food with plenty of ingredients, 10/10 service and next to 24/7 Grainger library. My new favourite spot
Dimsum house
This really was a great dimsum house. Recommend ordering entre to support dim sum for price. Authentic foods with other selections of modern twist. Chicken feet is my favorite dim sum item and they did it pretty on point. Other tasty items, sole fish with tofu & chili, fried squid, dumplings, all other tasty authentic flavors with a modern twist.
This is a far cry from the last tenant. They did a beautiful remodel. The restaurant presents quality. The food was delicious and being to only dimsum place in town it was great. The price is good for what you get.
Mid Summer Lounge
Every time I eat here I like it even more, which is saying something because I loved it the first time. The food is delicious, perfectly spiced, and prepared quickly. Definitely the best Asian spot in Green Street
Great food, very fresh, friendly service. Clean, comfy atmosphere for very small groups. Loved the roasted pork over rice, squid skewers, and dumplings. Personally, I didn't like the cold gizzards. I prefer them breaded and warm. Food was super fast!! $47 for 2 with appetizers, drinks, tip.
Chopstix
I love them. They work hard and get orders made quickly, even when they're super busy they're still very fast. They're open until 3AM too. This is a great spot for some quick Chinese takeout or delivery. They're good people who I will gladly give my business to. No complaints.
The delivery driver couldn’t find our location due to me just moving into a new house and getting the address number wrong and the delivery driver called me stupid and sped off and then when i opened my order which i ordered chicken lo mein i realized it was beef, which i am allergic too. So i called and told them they got my order wrong and i was allergic the lady yelled over the phone that they recorded my call and that i had ordered chicken lo mein & i said yes correct i did order chicken & you sent me beef! She proceeded to yell at me saying no you ordered beef, after just saying herself she had me on recording ordering chicken lo mein! Absolutely ridiculous and terrible customer service! I will never spend my money at this establishment again! They really could learn and thing or two about politeness & how to treat customers as well as learning how to respect their customers who are spending money there. I hope the next person has a better experience than i did myself.
China King
Ordered delivery on grubhub got Gen Tso's chicken......chicken breading was soggy, sauce was watery and lacked flavor, it's labeled as spicy but there was 0 heat, the rice was good and the crab Rangoon was good
Always great deals on their meals, dont ever get fortune cookies or eggs rolls with my orders though sadly /:
Panda Express
Extremely unprofessional manager. Said brocoli does not taste right to me can i change it. Says no it just taste bad to you. 🤣no sorry nothing what a manager oh well. Never eating here. I had barely touched my food and brocoli had some weird smell and texture. Manager said no he just received today. He has no training on how to talk to customers and be polite Never returning again. Worst service. Had to remove the brocoli and eat lol
I eat here regularly. 1. Never enough staff.Especially on peak hours. Staff is usually grouchy. 2. Dining room is often filthy. Chairs scattered and remnants of several other people's food on chairs and tables. 3. Many times they can only take credit cards because they didn't have someone go to the bank for cash. 4. 3 or 4 soda dispensers not functioning. Typical.
