China Taste
This is the only Chinese place in the area that I trust for gluten-free food. The lady at the counter is very knowledgeable about which foods are gf, and they even have gf soy sauce. I've eaten there many times and have never gotten a gluten migraine. (I don't have celiac, so it may not be suitable for that level of sensitivity.) The Singapore Chow Mei Fun is the best in town, and the staff is all very nice, and they speak Spanish too.
Louisiana seafood boil had bad clams! Ordered this Friday evening Oct 22, 2021 with half pound of snow crab, half pound of clams, and half pound crawfish. When I brought it home, only 2 clams had opened and one of those two had been cracked open. The others never opened, and so therefore we’re dead clams when they cooked them which means if I did not know any better I would have gotten ill forcing dead clams open. Needless to say this dinner was $35 with tax, and had 1 broken cluster of snow crab legs, and 5 crawfish and a load of bad clams. I won’t be ordering this again! How can you serve a dish with dead clams? Anytime clams do not open when cooked, you don’t eat them. You all should know this being in the restaurant business. You are waiting for someone to sue you for food poisoning. And to those wondering, YES, this is the China Taste in Oldsmar! They now sell Louisiana seafood boils but these options are NOT on apps like Uber etc. You must go here in person Second visit: Dec 26, 2023. Egg drop soup was like slimy gel. Disgusting
Rice & Spice
It was our first time here, and let me tell you, it definitely won't be our last! The service and food were amazing! Nothing but great customer service from the moment we walked in! We had the beef pad thai, the crispy duck with the curry sauce, shrimp tempura roll, and chicken satay! All so good! Would highly recommend!
Sat at the bar and just had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions...the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. We enjoyed having a few sushi rolls and can't wait to try more of the menu. Thank you Chris for taking me down memory lane of Seattle in the great State of Washington.
Thai Mama
Wow! Totally unexpected absolutely fresh, tasty, and visually appealing authentic Thai made from the loving hands of Thai Mama herself. The owners are so warm and friendly and we can't wait to come back! Seriously the food you would expect at a high end Thai restaurant not a little hidden take out unassuming gem. This place is for pick up, take out, or Uber eats only.
The place looks authentic, but it has nothing to do with authenticity. I've had Tom Yum about 100 times, cooked it myself around 30 times, and I know not only how it tastes but also how it should look. I've been to Thailand, so I know what I'm talking about. The Tom Yum with seafood I ordered had nothing in common with the real dish besides the name. Not every spicy soup with seafood can be called Tom Yum. There was too little coconut milk, and the spiciness was unpleasantly harsh, rather than the enjoyable heat a real Tom Yum should have. The tomatoes should be cherry, not regular ones roughly chopped. Red onion might be acceptable, but not in such large amounts. And all this for $20? I don’t recommend it. Never coming back.
Hong Kong Restaurant
Came here right before Hurricane Milton and these human gems were still open. God bless them. Quick, friendly service, good prices, highly recommend.
This place is really bad. I ordered boneless spare ribs and it taste like beef jerky. The meat is so hard and they said it is pork fried rice and it is only yellow rice.No meat and no veggie. This place is awful. Don’t waste your money here.
Tokyo Restaurant
This place is great! My husband and I really enjoyed the food and service. Huge portions and tasty food. We dined in and I highly recommend it.
I recently ordered lunch for my coworkers from this restaurant, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Not only are their prices outrageously high, but the quality of the food is absolutely horrendous. The fried rice was burnt and dried out, making it completely inedible. The dumplings were soggy, drenched in an excessive amount of soy sauce, and looked revolting. The shrimp and steak combo was the most appalling dish I’ve ever seen, with tiny, gross-looking shrimp and raw, slimy steak covered in a disgusting brown sauce. The lo mein noodles were overcooked, greasy, and clumped together, making the entire dish look and taste repulsive. To top it all off, the customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they were dismissive and unapologetic. This restaurant not only overcharges for their terrible food but also treats their customers with a complete lack of respect. I will never be ordering here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs.
Sushi Alive
The sushi was great, happy hour deals are tough to beat. The other food wasn’t as good, chicken pieces were really big and didn’t have much flavor. Our server was great. The outdoor area is really awesome.
Food was very good, flavors were delicious and my salmon was cooked perfectly. Really liked the ginger salad dressing, seemed like they make it in house (but I could be wrong). Service was wonderful, games were on but atmosphere was not too loud that we couldn't have a good conversation. This isn't our first time and definitely won't be our last coming here, lots more dishes to try. We ordered: Goyza (yum!), tuna and spicy tuna sushi (seemed fresh), Terriaki salmon (delicious), and BBQ short ribs (practically licked the plate clean lol). Restrooms were fully functioning and supplies well stocked, a few pieces paper on the ground but nothing off putting.
Thịnh An Kitchen & Tofu
What a gem in the Tampa area, and easily the best Vietnamese restaurant I have been to. We went two nights in a row to try different noodle dishes and banh mi, and not a single one disappointed.
I had 2 shrimp rice paper rolls with an AMAZING peanut sauce here that cost $5. You can get a soup for $12. The prices are great and the food is very tasty. Tyler took care of us and he was very nice and caring for our needs. I will be returning.
New Bamboo Express
I payed $65 dollars for this food from bamboo express..normally the food is ok, but they have crossed the line with this one. I order food at 10:30am-11:00am this morning BEFORE 12:00pm and this is the WORST AND MOST DISGUSTING FOOD I EVER HAD FROM THIS CHINESE RESTAURANT! The chicken was very hard and greasy and old. The French fries was hard and old and dried out. The broccoli is shriveled up and hard. The rice is hard and overcooked. They gave me STALE OLD FOOD. Be carful when purchasing food from these people because they might just end up giving you uncooked food. WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT EVER👎🏽!
Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The general tso was terrible, pretty sure it barely contained chicken as the pieces were almost all completely batter. And the sauce it was covered in was like a sweet syrup. The lomein wasn’t any better, the noodles were overcooked and soft and way too sweet. The presentation was awful, just terrible quality. I don’t know, but I’ll never be back. Just go to McDonald’s.
Siam Thai Restaurant, Westchase
Wow !! Amazing food. One of the best I tried in tampa. I had the panang chicken. Also the sweet sticky rice with coconut 🥥 ice cream. It was delicious. You will not be disappointed
Worst experience in a Thai restaurant. Tom yum was just tomato soup. Pad thai was decent.Stir fried beef was nothing like a stir fried anything, look at the pictures. On top of all those, the server was rude and incompetent. She was so busy cleaning and getting ready to leave that she was not focusing on clients. She forgot to take our order and we were done with our soup and appetizers. We had to call her to order amd when called her she was like i can take your order if you are ready. She said it in such a rude way. Also when we saw our stir fried beef, we wanted to confirm that she got our order correctly because that did not look or taste like a stir fry, she just said this is it and left. At the end when we were leaving around 9:20 pm, another client walked in and i heard her say we close at 10 OK? She shouldn't be serving clients.
Cafe De Siam
Giving this place 3 stars because the customer service was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. The chicken was chewy and the pad thai did not have much flavor. The atmosphere was relaxing and very clean.
Best Thai food restaurant around. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu now. Everything has very unique flavors and ingredients. It takes you on a journey. The price and the portions are also very fair.
Doodle Noodle Bar
A++, I'm so glad we decided to stop in. The food was excellent; flavorful and satisfying. The staff was engaging, attentive, and courteous. The portions were generous. The shrimp were large. Did I say the food was excellent? I honestly don't see how anyone could be disappointed. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Our food came out quickly. Finally, I loved the concept! We relocated from Los Angeles and we're absolutely bringing our family and friends for a good time and great food!
Doodle Noodle Bar has some great aspects but also room for improvement. The food was fresh and flavorful, earning a solid 4/5 stars, but it did take a while to come out, which might be frustrating for some. Service could be better—I mentioned it was my first visit and hoped for recommendations or guidance, but the staff wasn’t as attentive as I expected. The location has a unique charm, with eye-catching artwork on the walls that matches the vibe of the space, which I really enjoyed. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired, with some tables and the floor needing attention. While the food is good, it feels a little pricy for what it is. Overall, it’s a decent spot with potential if they improve on service, cleanliness, and speed.
Sarku Japan
Lots of food for the money. I always come to this mall to eat after hiking in Odessa. Cooked fresh right in front of you.
The chicken teriyaki is really tasty!! The fried rice & noodles are very flavorful as well. I wouldn’t get a fountain drink though, it tastes like the machine hasn’t been cleaned since they got it.
