Asian Palace Tampa
I had hopes it would be at least somewhat decent food court Chinese, but it failed to even deliver that. The portions they were serving appeared huge, but we later found out once we started eating that it was 90% breading. The sauce had little flavor, the breading looked crisp but was actually soggy. The rice was bland, and the egg rolls were barely decent. Quantity, it seemed, couldn't compensate for the lack of quality. Adding to the letdown were the prices, which were anything but budget-friendly. A single-item plate with fried rice costing $13, a small drink for an additional $4, and two egg rolls priced at $4 seemed excessive, especially considering the subpar quality of the food. Even a simple request to customize the order—like having half rice and half noodles—was met with a flat-out refusal from the staff. Our total for 2 drinks, 2 egg rolls, and 2 plates of mushy General chicken was about $42. This meal easily ranks as the low point of my trip to Florida and stands out as one of the most disappointing Chinese food encounters I've ever had. I strongly advise against dining here, even as a rushed meal, and now understand why there was an hour long wait to get into the noodle bar 100' away.
I ordered the bourbon chicken & it was so bad. Don’t waste your money. It’s $20 for a meal & it’s the saddest $20 you’ll ever spend. There ain’t a sauce or spice Alice that could’ve saved this meal.
China Max
Terrible! Tried twice a month apart and both times food was identically TERRIBLE! Chicken hard and dry. Not even edible. Will never eat her again.
There isn’t anyone working here that’s speaks English. Literally none… I was there at 4 PM on a Monday. I got a pick three and an eggroll I had to point out everything I wanted because they don’t understand English. I sat down at the table and started to eat. All of the proteins were disgustingly chewy and in my opinion, not edible, as well as the eggroll must’ve been hours old because you couldn’t bite through it I tried to complain, but since nobody speaks English, they just shrugged her shoulders, as if to say nothing can be done because we don’t understand you. Do not ever eat here. There are three other food places in the same food court that serve the exact same food, and they are all better.
Master Wok
Was charged 16.25 for the SMALLEST amount of food. I'm surprised too because Chinese food places usually get ya 2 meals outa it. You've lost a customer Master Wok
It's mall Chinese, nothing more to say. But I've been going here since I myself was in high-school in the early 2000s and I'm glad their still around
Golden Dragon
This isn't a Chinese restaurant. Its a Chinese dive bar. you know...the one where all the alcoholics go because the drinks are super strong. I think they only serve food because they have too as a bar. I cant understand how this place ever gets above a two. I had the Generals and it was chicken fingers dripping in generals sauce. that's all. I ate what i could stand because i was hungry and didn't want the hassle of bringing it back since i took it to go. I cringe every time i drive by it. Panda express (fast food) is worlds better and cheaper with no attitude and PE isn't even all that great either.
We waited for about 10 mins before anyone noticed we were there. Only 2 women working dining room and full bar. They were both extremely nice, despite being overworked. Food was not bad, but extremely greasy. Portions were good. Bathroom was nasty.
Sagwa Miao Chinese Restaurant
Deli Garden
Current name China star. They cook real Cantoness food. And serving wine. Big screen TV by the bar.
A family favourite! Nothing fancy to look at but the food does the talking. Always good

It was hard finding other reviews on line but we took a chance anyways. SO glad we did. The food was amazing! We ordered an array of things since it was our first time trying and a bit of a drive, farther than we would normally drive for take out. Let’s start with the orange chicken. It was perfectly crispy with a sweet and tangy orange sauce that was sticky yet saucy! We also ordered the hunan double, it came with beef and shrimp and lots of veggies with a side of steamed white rice. The shrimp were huge, and the rest of the dish had great flavor. We agreed that, the dish had the most veggies we had ever seen coming from a Chinese take out. I LOVE pork lo mein and have high standards when it comes to this dish! It didn’t disappoint. LOTS of pork with the perfect amount of veggies. We ordered the large and it came in a full size to go container, packed to the rim! We ordered pork egg rolls and they were crispy on the outside and the veggies were crispy in the inside. The wrapper wasn’t soggy on the inside, they know what they are doing when it comes to frying eggrolls! Last but not least, the wonton soup! The broth had a lot of flavor with a bit of zing to it. I think they may have used spicy pork for the inside of the won ton! Delicious! Give this place a try! It’s great! The owners greeted me when I came in and thanked me several times for placing my order. Run, don’t walk to try this place out!
Steamed dumplings, beef chow mein fun, king pao chicken!! All so good! They are very nice and clean!! Must try the Jasmine tea as well, it is homemade :))) healthy good food
Kang's Garden
This is the best Chinese takeout I have tried in months. I see no reason to continue my search. This is the place. Everything was fresh, albeit I live relatively nearby (Delivery). It tastes like you would expect your favorite Chinese place to taste. Like the people who cook your food care about how it tastes. All the little things that other places around here get wrong are done right here. Brown sauce that isn't bland or congealed. Krab Rangoon that actually has lots of Krab meat in it. Vegetables that are at least sliced in a mandolin and not food processed into a mushy oblivion of cubes. Down to the smallest detail, like hot mustard packets and fortune cookies that are still crispy. This place gets everything right.
The amount of complaining on here is so disappointing. I ordered Hunan chicken, wonton soup, and egg rolls for delivery. I've lived in Clearwater for 4 years and have been searching for the best Chinese food with the best flavor I didn't even realize I had ordered from Tampa cuz I ordered from Uber Eats. Everything was delicious and it was still hot after an hour. The keyboard Warriors need to quit their complaining and if you don't like it make it yourself.
China Yuan
We drove thru Tampa to meet up with my uncle and his family. They recommended this restaurant for authentic Chinese food, and we absolutely loved it. We let his wife and daughters, who are from Beijing, order everything. We had duck, salt and pepper pork, fried rice, beef chow fun, some sort of egg drop, and corn soup. I could eat that duck for every meal. This would definitely be a go-to spot for some authentic Chinese food id recommended to anyone. They have frog, pork intestines, eel and i even saw shark on the menu somewhere.
Finally found a legit Cantonese restaurant. No, not American Chinese, not Northern Chinese - proper Cantonese food run by Cantonese speaking people. The beef chow fun had the proper “wok hei” i.e. the hot oil aroma in the dish that is often lacking in all other beef chow fun dishes I’ve had in Tampa. The bok choy dish was deliciously garlicky and was cooked to the proper firmness. Dim sum was solid. This will definitely be my go to Canto restaurant from now on.
China Legend
Finally!! A Chinese restaurant that serves the quality food in the area. The recent reviews from the past couple of months were near flawless, and I just had to give them a try. They did not disappoint. The bourbon chicken was amazing, the portions size was generous and the taste was great. Same with the beef and broccoli, the beef was actually tender tasty, and not chewy and cheap. Also, the broccoli was so green and fresh and crunchy, I was so impressed. Best of all, they don’t drown their dishes in sauce unnecessarily! My ONLY critique is that their eggrolls are not up to par with my own personal preference in regard to NY style chine food. They weren’t terrible, but they certainly have room for improvement. If they fixed their eggrolls, they would be unstoppable in my opinion. I honestly hope they put their local competition out of business. This is how Chinese food should be prepared and served. Don’t hesitate for a second to consider this restaurant. I hope their business will continue to thrive for a long time.
Visiting from out of state and this place was a slam dunk. Food was incredible, table seating was great, and the place is CLEAN. Very friendly customer service as well; highly recommend!
China House
China House has earned my highest praise, receiving a perfect score across the board. During my recent visit, I ordered the boneless spare ribs dinner combination, which included delicious pork fried rice and a pork egg roll. To enhance my meal, I added a shrimp egg roll and some crab Rangoon, both of which complemented the main dish beautifully. The combination was nothing short of immaculate, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to flavor and presentation. The pork fried rice stood out as a highlight of the meal. I requested mine without peas and carrots, allowing the rich flavors of the rice and pork to shine through. The spare ribs were tender and juicy, bursting with flavor that left me wanting more. However, the true stars of the meal were the crab Rangoon, which were, without a doubt, the best I have ever tasted in my 20 years. Their crispy exterior and creamy filling made for a delightful experience that I will not soon forget. Overall, I cannot recommend China House highly enough. This establishment exemplifies what a real Chinese restaurant should be, delivering exceptional quality and outstanding service. They earn a perfect score of 10 for both their food and service, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in the mood for authentic Chinese cuisine, make sure to stop by China House; you won't be disappointed.
The best Chinese takeout I have ever had. It tastes like you went to a sit-down dinner and everything was made fresh. I am actually eating my leftovers right now and it tastes just like it did when I picked it up 2 days ago. I am hoping on my second visit that this will remain the same type of quality food that I received the first time. I will post a second review at that time. Also they have the option to order a smaller package if you'd like and honestly the small package was the same size as the larger package that I always get from everywhere else Overall hands down the best Chinese takeout and I will only come to this place. China House you're the best
BEIJING HOUSE
Found this place through social media & decided to give it a try. Spent about $90 trying lots of items on the menu. Absolutely disappointed. Eggplant was extremely greasy. Rice didn't taste right either, not sure how they messed up white rice. Sauce amount for steamed dumplings must have been low because the sauce cup was barely filled. Food lacked flavor! Extremely disappointed, I will not not be returning & definitely wouldn't recommend. If you must try, only get the spicy wonton. That's the only thing that had some flavor.
Great little Asian Restaurant. Clean. Friendly. Quality food. Reasonable prices. The Hot and Soup Soup was nicely prepared with good flavor and texture. A touch of soy sauce made it perfect. The Tea Smoked Duck was tender and flavorful. Looking forward to my next visit for some excellent NY Style Chinese food.
