P.F. Chang's
This is our first visit, and we were immediately impressed by the restaurant’s stylish and inviting ambiance. The dishes we ordered were not only visually appealing but also delicious. Most of the flavors matched what we’re accustomed to, and while the mapo tofu had a unique twist on the classic, it was still very enjoyable. The service here is outstanding, creating a warm and welcoming experience
Our server Rachel was very friendly as we sat down! The food was delicious. The dumplings were definitely out Fave! Beef and Broccoli was a tad salty. Nice Lunch Date!
Sohao Cafe
Incredible, authentic Szechuan. Easily the best in town if you like real Asian food. If you plan to just get teriyaki chicken or pad Thai, don’t go here, there’s cheaper places that specialize in American Chinese food. Also, this place shines in family-style serving situations. Go in with 4-6 people and everyone order an entree, veggie or appetizer. You’re guaranteed to end up with more food than you know what to do with, but everyone goes home with leftovers. Win-win! The lunch specials are great too. Incredible chefs and very kind, knowledgeable servers who are always happy to explain dishes or provide guidance.
Delicious! Asian food really enjoyed beef and broccoli so much. Will be back for sure! Very clean and the food arrives quickly and was very fresh. Can't imagine why there are complaints. Only wish the overhead lights dimmed a little bit for atmosphere 🙂
A'xin Sushi&Hibachi
We had Toro, Eel, Yellowtail, Salmon nigiri , Jonesville rolls and seaweed salad. And they are all amazing! The Toro just melt in the mouth. This has been one of the best sushi restaurants we have been in Gainesville. Fish is super fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back. This is a hidden gem.
Ordered tofu hibachi. The food was good.. Except the tofu. It was the mushiest tofu I've ever had, couldn't even pick it up without it disintegrating.
Blue Highway a Pizzeria
My little girl and I really enjoy this restaurant which has a very pleasant and family, friendly atmosphere. Their pizza is top-notch and freshly made with prime ingredients. The restaurant is also good for date nights as it has a separated, bar with seating and high Café tables as well as outdoor seating. I really appreciate the drawing materials, dough, and toys that they offer to the kiddos whilst awaiting their meal.
this place slaps! my boyfriend and i come here a lot and their barbecue chicken pizza is seriously top 3 pizzas ever. their ranch and tuscan fries are so good too!! plus their coffee is even good!! definitely recommend 👍 update: came here a year later and it’s still delicious!!! we come pretty regularly but this time i tried the pappardelle bolognese and it was so worth it, very flavorful and meaty. the focaccia it came with was delicious too!! the service is also always great when we come :) our waiter today was super sweet and attentive. my favorite pizza place in gainesville!
Bamboos
Bamboos is absolutely the best Chinese in Gainesville. Everything is reasonably priced for a lot of food! The owners are so sweet and kind. They are always smiling and make sure you are taken care of! I love this place and always will!
AMAZING family owned restaurant. Best Chinese food in all of Florida. I’ve been going to Bamboos for almost 7 years now and they’ve watched me graduate from high school and college. They truly treat you like a family and it’s my favorite spot in the world. I love Bamboos ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yummy House Gainesville
The staff here are on the top of their game! Present and knowledgable, the service was excellent and top speed. Entrees were about $15-25 depending on the dish and are well worth the price point with high quality ingredients and generous portions. I ordered the House Style Chicken Clay Pot with a side of white rice, and needless to say, I was pleased with my choice. With a variety of dishes and flavors, we are already planning our next visit!
I was disappointed with my experience at Yummy House in Gainesville. The dim sum did not taste fresh and seemed like it came from pre-packaged food, lacking the authentic flavor I was hoping for. Additionally, the service was underwhelming; the lady server was unfriendly and had a rude demeanor, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. I expected better service and food quality
China Garden
I regularly get the sesame tofu for lunch and it is always fresh and fantastic. The sauce is perfect! The establishment is clean and the staff is very hard working and kind. They are very nice people. The food came out extremely quick. I go back time and time again!
This was my first time trying this Chinese Restaurant. I had the 15 small fried shrimp they were cooked nice and crisp the way I like my food, but it lacked flavor it tasted like they forgot to season the shrimp. I also had the fried sugar donuts and they were good. The service was great. I ordered the food online it was an easy process and the food was ready when I got there and still fresh. The employee that waited on me was nice and friendly. However, I don't think I will be going back due to the horrible smell that hit me time I walked in the restaurant it smelled like something was dead in there. I really didn't want to eat the food after that, but since I had purchased it I wasn't going to threw it away.
Subway
The staff on duty asked if I wanted items on my sandwich that I was not thinking of as it has been a while since I order from subway. She prepared the sandwich as an artist with a canvas. The condiments and topping were even throughout the sandwich. She was friendly with conversation. The area was very clean in appearance. I enjoyed my sandwich.
Very rude woman was very grumpy when I called aloud: hello could I please have some help? Was standing there counter unattended for five minutes.
Red Wok
Had great experience of the buffet in the town of Newberry! A lot of sushi and roll items with diverse type of chickens whereas orange chicken was great. Also noodles, fried rice and veggies was there. The environment was cool and the service girl was very decent and polite. Highly recommended buffet to get your tummy cherished for lunch and dinner. Also do not miss the dessert, fruits and ice cream. Great focal point for foodies! Seems not too many options at first but you get on enjoying the food then we get satisfied before you leave! Usually during evening you can have empty seats and enjoy good time with your family.
the teriyaki chicken was great! lo mein, rice, and beef broccoli were cold. no spring rolls :( they have cute hotel style cakes. fried sugar dough was good, but only a few left. i think there was a tiny hair in the shrimp. they give u fortune cookies before you leave :). my stomach was a little uneasy after.
Eabyss
Don't order general tso chicken it mainly dough, if I want dough I would have ordered dumplings
Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from but I haven't had a bad experience in the years they have been there. Mostly get soup and apps. Lo mein is delicious too.
China Express
Found this sharp piece of metal in my generals chicken combo and a small hair I can’t find the hair now so I can’t put a picture up but man that’s crazy. I thought the metal was tin foil but no it’s as if somebody drilled through sheet metal above the food and the sharp shaving landed right in the food then got served out !smh also I threw all of my chicken in the paper bag because it was dry and hard to chew I’d say three days old do better man !
Lady at counter doesnt listen and charged me too much. When I questioned her, she got an attitude. The food was improperly packed, and fell tjrough the unstapled wet paper bag bottom as I got to my car. I gathered up what remained of my lunch, and drove home.I went to put my $12 change back in my wallet and discoverrd she only gave me $3 change, cheating me out of $9 Shrimp roll was almost burnt, all foood was blsnd, unseasoned overcooked food, packed ultra carelessly. I will never return.
Panda Express
Great food, but worst customer service ever from employee Woody. Continually rude to me ever single week and refrained from writing this review because I do understand that people have bad days. However, today was the worst customer service I received from him, let alone anyone. Never had anyone this rude to me. Id be more than happy to discuss it with management, but dont plan on going back to Panda if he remains there. Unfortunately, i was written up at my job which could have been avoided if he was receptive and not rude. Please let me know if he no longer works there.
Gives the least quantity out of all the Panda express I've visited.
