Gator China
Decent orange chicken (not spicy at all) and the sweet and sour chicken was really juicy. The chicken with cashews was pretty bland. The service was super quick though. Friendly staff. The pork fried rice was already but the pork in it was not the best and picked it out.
Well packaged to-go food. Food was super hot and delicious! Not a place to eat inside (sterile and cold) but definitely recommend ordering take out from here.
China Express
Came in and placed order : Small veg. chow mein large pork lo- mein . 1 egg roll small hot and sour soup Wait time 20 mins - Cost $27.50 1st thing I tried when I got home was the chow mein . Very small portion for almost 7 dollars. Tasted a little on the salty side. Next , tried the lo- mein . VERY salty and noodles were way overcooked , almost on the soggy side . The egg roll was OK. not the best , but OK. The hot/ sour soup was a mess . It was laden with a lot of tofu and looked as if they just added leftovers of what have you. It was also oily to taste . By the way , for all the food I ordered, they only gave me a half pint of white rice .. A half pint . Bottom line , Overpriced, overcooked, and over it .
Egg rolls are good. Low main was way overcooked but tasted okay. Beef and broccoli was good but the fried rice was not very flavorful. Over all the food was not bad for the price. It was also very fast and service was good.
Mr Han's Restaurant
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience. We are celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary and I'm so glad we decided to come here to celebrate. I was blown away by how delicious the food was. Also, the portions are bigger than I expected. Even though they were short staffed, the waitress was very kind and made sure we were cared for, despite the situation. I definitely recommend the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken lettuce wraps. We will definitely be coming back here soon, without a special occasion!
We went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. Everything was delicious! A little expensive, but the experience is worth it!
China 88
I had a great experience at this Chinese restaurant! The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Our food came out quickly, which was a nice surprise. I ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice, and it was delicious – the flavors were spot on and the portion was generous. I'll definitely be coming back!
This was the best Chinese place I went to in gainesville. At first, I was hesitant because of the reviews and the outside look however i gave it a try! When I first entered I saw a little kid working so I knew this spot was gonna hit. It was a local restaurant owned by this very kind and lovely Chinese family. The mother was our cashier and she was amazing. She had the kindest soul I’ve ever seen. She gave me free water when I couldn’t pay for it and would give free meals to the homeless. She deserves the world. For the food, I ordered Noodles with General Tso chicken and it was the best chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken was juicy, saucy and crunchy and the flavor was spot in. They filled it to the brim and they would always ask if we needed help with anything. Great place, will definitely come again.
China Bowl
Got orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. They were decent but not a huge fan of the. They both came with white rice. The large orange chicken was a little pricey for the size.
Food is really good, got the chicken skewers and large boneless spare ribs. My issue is the boneless spare ribs is a size large and you can't order smaller size on uber eats. The large is NOT large! For $18 you get a medium sized container and half is fried rice and half is the spare ribs! This is not right and the entire container should be spare ribs if it's listed as a large size and for $18. That's insane! Will not order again.
China Wok
Tried it today for the first time and it was great! Called in a lunch order of sweet & sour chicken for pick up. Customer service was friendly, order was ready when I got there. Premises were clean, employees were friendly & efficient and the food was delicious. My new favorite Chinese to-go place.
Sometimes you just crave some Chinese take away. Whether it's fried rice, lo mein, general tso's, egg rolls or hot and sour soup. This restuarant will satisfy that craving. Menu is pretty extensive for such a small place. There's seating for roughly 12 people. The main customer base is for take away. Personally I ordered a full portion of the general tso's, a quart of hot and sour soup, and the shrimp with mixed vegetables lunch special. After tax and tip it was $34. Flavors were good. Some minor critiques... The general tso chicken pieces were breading heavy, hot and sour soup was a bit thin, and the white rice that came with the general tso's was a bit hard. But none of this was surprising to me. If you're looking for basic well executed Chinese take away, China wok checks those boxes.
Red Rice Kitchen
One word describes this dinning experience, Delicious! First time dinning at the Red Rice Kitchen and from start to finish it was an enjoyable dining experience. My party ordered crispy vegetable rolls, steamed dumplings and seafood Rangoon's, all beautiful prepared and delicious. For main courses we had the garlic rice with shrimp and the crispy chicken soup with egg noodles. Everything was flavored beautifully and again, delicious. Our server was professional, attentive and friendly. Authentic and Quality! Highly recommend visiting Red Rice Kitchen.
I love this place! The atmosphere is peaceful and sweet. The food is authentic and delicious. I had the Pad Kee Mao(Drunken Noodle). It was so flavorful. I love the homemade noodles. And the crispy roll was really good too. The server was so attentive. I felt very taken care of. Looking forward to going back.
BAMBUU Asian Eatery
Went to the soft opening and all of the staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming! The bourbon chicken is really tasty and their teriyaki mushroom is also really flavorful and thankfully not soggy 🙏 My friend had the Korean chicken bites and she said they were very good and not super spicy. The food does not feel too greasy and I will always pick this place over Panda Express since it’s the same price.
Free samples available - and more types of entrees - much better thb Panda Express (which is right next door). Limited seating inside. And little parking = 3 spots (altho nearby parking lots will have space). Chicken was warm instead of hot, but still tasty. How we, food is pretty salty. Place just opened and manager there is trying and checking on tables - so decent service. Place is also clean and nice atmosphere - just small on tables. Might eat again and definitely better than Panda Express
BENTO Gainesville Newberry
My server was a fantastically kind and professional young woman named Adrian. She took my order perfectly and delivered it to my table with everything I needed. She was attentive to my table during my dining experience. The preparation of the food was exactly as it should be. Everything arrived hot and fresh as ordered. Relaxing music was playing while I ate and sat under the blue ambient lighting. Overall, a very lovely experience. Special thank you to my server, Adrian, at Newberry Gainesville, for being a positive part of my day and experience at Bento’s.
Food was great. Staff was friendly and service was good. Location is hot. The A/C definitely isn't working properly and it felt absolutely gross inside. We went for a local fundraiser. The heat inside is absolutely offputting enough that I doubt I'll eat on-site there unless it's been addressed.
Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille
The food is always the best and everytime I go I’ve never had a bad plate. Also me and my family had an amazing waiter, Savannah and she was very attentive and understanding with us also very sweet. Me and my family enjoyed our meals and I personally loveee the fish tacos.
The food was great, quantity was upto the price. The taste can be improve. Can visit many times. Great vibe and mood in downtown.
China House
Just moved here from Ocala. I was very skeptical. But by far the best Chinese I’ve had since moving to central Florida from south Florida. The food was delicious. The location was extremely clean even the kitchen in the back that you can see while purchasing meal. So happy to have a good Chinese place finally and on such a rural location. GREAT prices too
Compared to Panda House, this is fine dining. Compared to Kobe's, this is Panda House. I like that I can order and pick it up in 15 minutes. The fried rice could be a bit more flavorful. But at least they use large shrimp in the food. There's not much else to say, really. The family who runs it are nice and have been teaching their kids how to run the business. It's pretty typical. However, the place needs and has needed a make-over for years. The atmosphere is definitely a no dine in one.
Chopstix Cafe
This place had such a good quality with all foods that we ordered and a very nice view. Unless the weather is super humid and hot, I recommend sitting outside. Foods we ordered came out pretty fast and they all tasted great. The price was reasonable, thus, overall very satisfied. Would definitely comeback.
We enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary here. This restaurant’s conveniently located close to downtown Gainesville, yet right by the water to enjoy spectacular views and many birds and alligators. We enjoyed our food. The only negative was that the place overcharged on both entrees, drinks and appetizer by $2-5 on each dish, saying that they had to increase the prices and didn’t have time to print up new menus.
