Taco Town
The woman at the front is SO nice and helpful. The food is always flavorful and it’s affordable. I couldn’t keep this gem to myself! If I could get 5 stars 5 times I would! They also have great in store specials on Mondays for customers!
I stopped in with Debbie for some tacos, basic menu: tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, Nachos, side orders, no tostada's - which momentarily flustered me. I had a Ground Beef and a Carnitas Taco, both packed, great portion of lettuce and cheese. Very good Hot Sauce and Mild sauce. I was pleased and my Mexican Rice was Outstanding. I wish they has a bigger menu, hopefully that will happen soon. I also don't like their order at the counter and get food when name is called, but I guess that's the sign of the times with some employee shortages. Again, overall, I think you should try it, owned by a nice family.
Panera Bread
Went to obtain a bakery good tonight and upon entering the cashier was cleaning the glass. She took off her glove and disposed of it. After she rang me out, I ask if she can wash her hands, she told me she had a glove on. Told her in healthcare after we take off gloves, then we have to wash our hands. When I received my baked good, the energy on it was so heavy that I threw it in the trash. Please re-educate on the importance of hand washing or hand hygiene. Thanks
Store employee/Cashier had zero personality and was not the least bit engaging. I'm not a Panera customer, so I needed to look at the menu to decide what to get. There were no other customers in the store waiting to be served. The cashier seemed annoyed that she had to wait for me to decide what I wanted. As I was making my decision, my wife tried to engage the empolyee in conversation, ie: "How're you doing today?" The cashier didn't respond. When I placed my order, she said the item was sold out. She never raised her eyes to engage with us. She just stared at the register tapping on the screen with her fingernails. I asked for a chocolate croissant and a plain bagel toasted and buttered. As I ordered the bagel, I was cut off by the cashier. I felt I was being rushed. I repeated my toasted/buttered bagel order, after which the cashier told us we could wait by the other counter for our order. She walked away without giving me my receipt. I waited for another employee to come to the register to request and get my receipt. We took our food to go. When we got to our destination I found my bagel was not buttered. THANKS for the toasted dry bagel. The whole experience was awful. I felt rushed. It felt as though we were an inconvenience to the employee who had no personality and was not the least bit engaging/polite or attentive. She is in the wrong business. She should not be in customer service and is a poor representative for Panera. I was not a regular customer to Panera and with an experience like this will not be.
Nice Day Chinese | Yale University, New Haven CT 好日子中餐厅
Really good food. And it is the traditional Chinese food. Have a lot of choice out of broccoli and beef😆. If you want to taste the Chinese food Chinese people will eat, please go there. And the food is very healthy. Good for me😋. The spicy tofu is very good.
This place has a welcoming vibe with simple yet pleasant decor. I enjoyed the concept, and the staff seemed friendly upon arrival. However, the food left mixed impressions. The mapo tofu was unexpectedly different—lacking the signature spice and depth that typically define the dish. Their version of this dish wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite win me over either. The eggplant dish was a bigger issue; despite ordering it vegetarian, it came with pork twice before finally arriving correctly, almost by the time dessert was served. The bao had a decent flavor, though the skin wasn’t as soft as I prefer. Overall, a nice spot with room for improvement.
Vintage Kitchen
I recently dined at Vintage Kitchen, and it was an incredible experience. The food was exceptional authentic Indian flavors with a modern twist. The biryani was fragrant and flavorful. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on flavor, Vintage Kitchen is a must visit.
Vintage Kitchen Indian Restaurant offers a great mix of flavors and authenticity. Their **Kodi Vepudu** (chicken fry) is a standout, crispy and packed with spices. The **Indo-Chinese** dishes, like chicken noodles , chicken fried rice are perfect for those who enjoy a fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors. For biryani lovers, the **Zaffrani Chicken Dum Biryani** is a must-try, fragrant with saffron and perfectly cooked chicken. The **Fry Piece** is also delicious, crispy on the outside and tender inside. To end the meal, the **Carrot Halwa** is rich and sweet, while the **Payasam** provides a comforting finish. Overall, the food is flavorful and satisfying, making Vintage Kitchen a top choice for anyone craving Indian food.
State Garden II
This use to be my favorite spot for 5 years but after yesterday I do not recommend their service or food quality. I simply called for a food replacement due to hair in my food and a food item they forgot to place in my order. At first I was transferred to the manager and was told I’d receive a replacement and the missing food item. Five minutes later, I was called by one of their workers, being insulted and screamed that I am a liar, since I claimed there was hair in the food.
The food is very good. They are very nice and the food is always freshly made, I love that you can see them making it. If I ever want Chinese, I always go here in New Haven.
China King
Food is very fresh and the staff are super friendly. I would highly recommend this place also the delivery guy is super happy to do his job
The best. Friendliest I’ve ever met. Food is ALWAYS outstanding. When I order a spicy dish it’s actually spicy! I think I’ve eaten at China King at least 20+ times and it’s always….ALWAYS rocking. They care about what they’re cooking. I love you all at China King!❤️❤️❤️
China Sea Restaurant
Steamed Dumplings were great! fried rice was great, egg drop soup was great ,chicken and broccoli. Not so great. Well the broccoli was good but the chicken was soft and slimy . I’m sorry guys but I had to my kids wouldn’t eat it and I took one bite and picked all the chicken out and gave it to the dog. Won’t order that again.
China Sea is Take out food only. Or is delivered. One of my TOP reasons of ordering here is…. When I was a little girl I would go with my parents (every Friday) out for Chinese. It was always the same restaurant that was on the Post Road, Orange CT. Well, anyway, food back, then was cooked so differently and better and most places than now. But China Sea is not far from that food taste flavor. Also, they are the only people in the valley that I’ve gone to that make fried rice, which I get the pork fried rice brown Not yellow. That yellow rice is not fried rice. It is just what it is….yellow rice. Also, the couple that works, runs the place are so nice, so sweet, so helpful. Let me stop. I could go on and on about China Sea. Also, the third best thing to me is…..I usually have our food delivered within 15 to 20 minutes.
China House Restaurant
My #1 favorite Chinese restaurants. I love they food. I am very picky and not a big in variety, but my family does. So China house meets it all. I just wish they were open every day. I am addicted to the food, lol. Ordering online for ASAP delivery or schedule delivery is great. Especially, when you can't get there or you want to have your food delivered at scheduled time is awesome. The entire transaction including tip online makes it even easier.
Their food is great! Excellent quality and tasty! Especially the pork buns. I drive 40 minutes round trip to order food from them.
Eastern Bistro
11. Bo Bo Platters (for 2) Egg roll (2), beef teriyaki (2), fried jumbo shrimp (2), fried wonton (4), spare ribs (2),shrimp toast (2), chicken wings(2) cost was $16.75 I thought I would try this as it was a new item for me to try. Do NOT waste your money on this appetizer. It was over fried, extremely greasy, the shrimp toast was so full of grease I don't usually have issues but this was the worst thing to order from here. Unless you have an amazing amount of Tums . I was left with the question "What the heck was this that I just ate? Horrible full of grease and overcooked.
I’ve been ordering from Eastern bistro for the past year. The food has steadily gone downhill. The last time I ordered from there, I spent $89 and asked for 20 packets of soy sauce because my three boys like to use a lot. I paid for my order by credit card and added six dollars on for the driver for a tip. She called me back five minutes later and told me she has to recharge my card because they have to charge me two dollars for the 20 packets of soy sauce. I asked her if I’m spending $89at your restaurant how you’re going to charge me for soy sauce. After telling me that I ordered 20 packets and it’s extra I just agreed and hung up. When the food arrived, I was very disappointed to find my large order of boneless spareribs in a small pint container that they usually serve soup in. It was very dry and overcooked. Tonight I ordered Chinese food again and made a point Of ordering from China Garden not only did I get my 20 packets of soy sauce. I also got a free General T’s chicken And a free 2 L bottle of soda. The food was very good, cooked fresh and my shrimp toast came with an extra two pieces that were twice the size of Eastern bistros and two dollars less. We order Chinese food weekly and usually spend $80 and $90 too bad for Eastern bistro they will not be getting my money anymore
Moon Star Restaurant
The most nastiness food I have ever ordered. Food was dripping with grease to the point where I could have fried my own chicken with the grease that came from the food. Called the establishment and the owner was very unpleasant saying we checked the food and it was fine. I told them my son threw up from the food and said, “ what do you want me to do about it “. Will never go back… take my advice, save your money
Of the many quick and casual Chinese food places in the area, moon star was the most dependable as far as quality for price and taste. Although, after recently trying the food the decline in quality was a saddening shock. General Tso’s chicken bland and mushy, spare ribs were decent but too closely resembles gristle shaving from a grease trap, and worst of all being an order of dumplings which i had in the past said were the best were now quite the opposite. From opening the container and getting a whiff of a dumpster in July to the first bite into a sour wrap and spoiled meat inside. Firmly said, it will be the last visit the Moon Star. Definitely recommend getting something on the higher end if wanting Chinese food that wont leave you sick and sad you wasted your money.
China Garden
First timer here. One of the reviews mentioned that the boneless spare ribs was dry but I decided to try it myself plus that's always my go to for any Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately they were right. Though the food looked good in my opinion, the ribs were dry and the rice to me tasted weird. I did however liked how they cut the boneless ribs which was like a thin sliced. The taste of it wasn't bad. I think if there was more sauce it would have been better as the taste of the ribs weren't bad.
Food always come undone and soggy but they the only ones open Monday I always have to finish cooking the food when I get home as you can see air frying the fries
China Town Kitchen
I often order from this place but last time I ordered delivery I waited over an hour and was given the wrong meal. I ordered pork fried rice and received shrimp fried rice which I’m allergic to so I was not able to eat my meal. I wasted over $24 and even rechecked my order but I asked for pork fried rice.
Food was average was surprised to have pork strips in my noodles. Crab Ragu was delicious and plain fried rice was flavorful. Fast service and a good amount of soy sauce and duck sauce. Did not get a fortnite cookie 😕 staff was very kind. Overall good place for a quick chinese fix.
