The J House Greenwich

Nice hotel with modern amenities. Very clean as well and a welcoming staff. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast. For spending about $400 for a night (after taxes + fees), it was very underwhelming. Stale granola, selection of small pastries... would think they would have provided a little more for the price of the room. Otherwise, would recommend!

Haven't even checked out yet but wanted to leave this review. This place is a find. We had some business in Stamford but didn't want to stay in town so tried here. The hotel is beautiful. Apparently there is really no limit to how nice you can make an old Howard Johnsons. The rooms are super comfortable, especially the beds. I had a room closest to the highway so I could hear some traffic but it isn't bad at all. The high-tech stuff in the rooms was actually nice and not complicated. I was worried that this place might be trying a little too hard from reading reviews but that isn't the case at all. And what I didn't expect was for Tony's to be such a great restaurant. This is legit good Italian food and the outdoor terrace is a great garden setting. We got back from work late last night and the kitchen had closed but Tony himself (great guy) went back to the kitchen and pulled a few things together for us. Overall great experience here.

Little Thai Kitchen

I recommend the Crispy Fried Tofu, Basil Eggplant and mee Grob. The chicken satay is so big, like big chicken tenders, the outside tasted like satay but the inside is bland. The fried spring rolls ate not good, the crispiness is the only thing it’s going for it. Basil Beef is good, i tried medium spice level and it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be but the dish barely tasted like basil, it tasted really good but not just basily. I am staying away from carbs so you can but everything tasted like it had sugar in it, which is common for Thai dishes but this is less sweet compared to other Thai restaurants I've tried before. Food is great, you just need to know what to order.

Service was exceptional! Friendly staff, attentive and accommodating. Food was reasonable and tasty.

The Cos Cobber

234reviews

Can't beat the place for its location. The restaurant is a one minute walk from the Strickland Road Historical District and also a mere one minute walk to the Sachem Nature Preserve. Noticed that our fellow guests were all regulars who were warmly greeted by the staff. There is ample outdoor seating. We had the crab cakes with sweet potato fries and the Cos Cobber salad. The crab cakes were just OK(hardly any crab meat), but the sweet potato fries were quite good. Didn't take any pictures of the food except for the iced tea and lemonade.

Their lunch specials prepared by chefs Alex are culinary delights! Great low key atmosphere and simply great service!

Ching's Table

203reviews

Amazing food! Love it Everytime we come, however they do charge refills! Be careful, spent $25 on soda!

Ching's Table is our favorite Chinese Fusion restaurant in Connecticut with quality ingredients, attractive presentations, and a very reasonable pricing. Our favorites are Sichuan dumplings, Filet steak with shrimps, coconut shrimps, crab cakes, and sauteed spinach. Service is friendly and attentive.

EA Teriyaki

6reviews

Poor food handling standards. Employees touching cleaning supplies and fails to wash hands before retouching items to prepare food.

I finally got to try this restaurant after the shut down of Ichiban and I was not disappointed, the chicken teriyaki has a more soy taste to it than sweet which I didn’t mind from Ichiban. The chicken teriyaki was delicious but the only critic I have is, for the extra portions of meat or shrimp plating it better in the tray because the sauce was dripped all over the place. Other than the plating critic, that’s all I have to say, good job and Welcome!

Bronx House Pizza

Everything is perfect. Staff was wonderful. The photo doesn’t do the food justice. Must try.

Best truffle fries we've had a while and one serving was enough for 4 of us to share. The pepperoni roll and chicken roll were good. Scillcian style slice was a hit with the big. The service was great, and the sauce was delicious.

Taj Stamford

Taj Indian Cuisine was everything we imagined and more. The atmosphere and service were top tier and the food was just off the charts. Explosively favored and seasoned I couldn’t believe have powerful and flavorful everything was. My boyfriend and I will definitely come back for another date night here for sure!

I ordered the masala dosa, django mango, and lamb rogan josh. The food was amazing, and the service was quick!! They gave us complimentary dessert too

Layla's Falafel

1164reviews

Laylas falafo was always a favorite destination to get some tasty lebanese platters and sandwiches. They recently catered for our son's third birthday and we couldn't have been happier with the selection of catering arriving in well packed pristine condition and the freshness of the food. Highly recommended are the falafel, chicken kebab, kafta and chicken shawarma. All came with an assorted set of salads, pitas, pickles and of course, tahini and toum. Everyone had a blast. Leila did not disappoint!!

We ordered catering for my husband's birthday party and the food was outstanding and beyond our expectations. Everything was fresh, and everyone kept mentioning how good it was. JP is an excellent communicator, making the catering ordering process seamless. Tip -- order extra....Mediterranean food makes excellent leftovers! We will be ordering again soon!

Hibachi Sushi Ya

265reviews

If you’re looking for a fun and flavorful dining experience, I highly recommend Hibachi Sushi Ya! The place is huge, with plenty of parking available. They offer a variety of seating options, including hibachi tables, a bar, and a traditional dining area. I loved the cute koi pond you see right when you walk in—it really sets a nice vibe. My friend and I did the hibachi experience and started with cocktails. She got a lychee martini, and I went for a Pom Passion Margarita—both were fantastic. We also shared two sushi rolls for appetizers, which were fresh and tasty (check out the pictures I’ve attached, though I can’t recall the names of the rolls). Our hibachi chef was super entertaining and skilled, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. My friend had the Seafood Delight hibachi entree while I ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi entrée, and I was really pleased with my meal—the shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the evening, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious food and a lively atmosphere, this is definitely a spot worth visiting!

The food here is really great! This is our favorite place. Surprisingly fresh and real, this is really an experience you shouldn't miss.

Wild Rice

329reviews

I absolutely love wild rice. It is by far my favorite place to eat. You can never go wrong here. They have lots of options and are very quick, the food is always fresh and the staff is amazing. There is never a time they have disappointed me. I have eaten here over 10 times and it has always been 100%. Also affordable for what they offer! Came to eat with around 10+ people and the bill was $300$-400 including drinks and meals for everyone. I love wild rice!

Awesome combo plate! We had the shrimp and steak combo -- fantastic! Wished they would do delivery to Denver! Shrimp were Excellent and the noodles beyond the best we've ever had! Great service and reasonably priced for a large quantity of food. In hindsight we could have split an order and still had plenty to eat.

Good Hope Dumpling and Ramen House

437reviews

Was watching one piece. And OTama started giving dumplings away. Naturally needed now dumplings for lunch. We ended here. And instead of asking for a plate of dumplings each we decided to ask for several and share . Everything g was delicious. By the end ordered some sesame balls, and I was expecting a different flavor. Really happy surprise new flavor to my list. Kid had fried noodles and loooved them The decoration is really cute. The place is family friendly and nice. And the food delicious

This cute little hole in the wall is a great restaurant! Hands down one of the best Ramen we've had so far in Norwalk, CT...and the service is excellent. We came back to try another one of their dumplings (pan fried pork dumpling with chives). It was definitely the highlight of the meal. We'll definitely look forward to continuing to come back and trying other things on the menu.

Happy Monkey by Jean-Georges

Love the atmosphere it was really quaint. And Christian was a great server. I even forgot the choros when I left and he ran after me to give me my plate to go. The ambiance is comfortable and casual. I had the fried fish taco. It was good but the cabbage on top was kind of tart but the espresso martini was good! Really like this place.

We came here for an early dinner in late summer. The chef's special of chicken and taco starters were excellent as was the arroz pollo and fried calamari. The ambiance of a Latin restaurant (Cuban sandwich looked interesting for lunch... unfortunately not for dinner) is interesting and hopefully will continue its successful run so far. The restaurant was fairly empty in the early evening but appeared to be filling up as we left. Consider coming here the food and waitstaff are great... you won't be disappointed!
