New Moon Chinese Restaurant

295reviews

Sauce was a tad bit bland. I got extra sauce. The ribs were tender and juicy, just wish sauce was a-little better. Pork fried rice was tasty . Egg roll, portion and price was also good!!

This was always our favorite take out Chinese between Waterbury and surrounding towns. No other New Moon location in the area or other Chinese takeout could compare to the tasty general tsaos, crab Rangoon, fried rice, and other food. When we got takeout about 6 months ago, it was still the same excellent food. We got it twice in the last few weeks and it has been subpar. They changed the general tsaos to the point my husband was disgusted of the taste to where he had to go drink something to get the taste out. The crab Rangoon weeks ago was not the same quality and taste, nor is the fried rice good. I know they raised their prices, as did everyone else due to increased cost. I would rather pay just a little extra for the same quality food rather than pay a higher cost and get Chinese food no better than the other take out Chinese in the area. We're highly disappointed. We really hope you change the way you make your food back to how you used to make it earlier this year, and the years previously.

Minami Sushi

Minami is my closest all you can eat sushi spot, and I couldn’t be happier! A great variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes in addition to all of the sushi. Everything was great quality and delicious! Friendly staff and the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely return!

I must say, this place is totally fantastic. I will most definitely be coming back here. The food was plated beautifully, and the atmosphere was bustling and friendly. Though, my soup spoon had a giant crack in it and I couldn’t eat my food properly. Other than that though, it was delicious.

Southford Pizza

The pizza was phenomenal! I highly recommend all to try this restaurant! 🙏🏼 Thank you to the owners for making me feel very welcomed in your establishment!

I’ve been ordering pizza from here for almost 30 years. It’s my favorite Greek style pizza. The owners are super awesome and the pizza is phenomenal!

Seymour Garden Take Out Restaurant

This has to be one of the best chinese resturants. Good flavor mix, fresh ingredients for a reasonable price. Its a blessing that this resturant is near this area. Definitely visit here. I bet they can hold their weight against flushing and chinatown resturants in new york. They also have some tables for dining in, but there isnt much ( 2 small table and 1 large).

Great food. We ordered a bunch of things for new years eve and every thing was good. Reminded me our NYC spots we used to go to Sweet and sour pork 10/10 General Tso's 10/10

Peking Tokyo

HAIR IN THE FOOD!!!! We ordered delivery. Normally this is the best place in town for Chinese takeout. But clearly they are not caring as much. Waste of money! & I was not issued a refund. Thank god I saw the hair before my child started eating.

Vegetables in the udon noodles were mushy. But aside from that... udon noodles were well done, although lacking a bit of seasoning, ... the crab Rangoon was good but I would've liked it fried just a little harder... and the spicy roll... Overall I was satisfied and will likely be back.

R&B Ramen N Bao

302reviews

We ordered scallion pancakes, they were crispy and delicious (the vinegar was delicious), steamed soup dumplings (my favorite), Thai iced tea, hot tea and 2 ramen bowls (so yummy I forgot to take pics). We will definitely be back. For 2 apps, 2 drinks, 2 ramen bowls we were around $65+ tip for dinner.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice in just two weeks, and it’s easily one of the best Asian cuisine spots in Connecticut. The staff treats you with the utmost respect; Steven, in particular, provided exceptional service—his humility and attentiveness made my experience even better. The food is crafted to appeal to all palates, ensuring that anyone from any background will enjoy it. The entire experience is impressive, from the beautiful natural aquarium to the inviting ambiance and thoughtful packaging. Highly recommend!

Dragon Kitchen

Absolutely DISGUSTING!! Do not waste your money here. I asked for less sauce and extra extra crispy and they gave me extra soggy chicken. They’re also very rude. I asked for more hot sauce and the lady said she already put 5. My food was $45.00 in total.

The house special lo mein & pork fried rice with chicken wings were great! Thank you!

Sushi & Wok

Not impressed with any of it, waste of time and my money won't be going back, yous tried, I'll stick with Seymore Garden for regular food & Koi Sushi for the Sushi. None of it tastes fresh at all...

Sushi and Wok makes the best sushi and no restaurant around can beat their time and prices. Always so friendly and has a lot of yummy options to choose from. They also have amazing fried rice and boneless spare ribs! Definitely would recommend

Karaku Restaurant

264reviews

Absolutely my favorite lunch spot. I've come for dinner too over the years and it's just as good. There is a quiet, relaxed ambience. If I have time to kill and want to treat myself to lunch this is my go-to spot. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. I feel like I shouldn't even write this review because I'm giving up my lovely relaxed lunch place! As I'm writing this, many of the businesses in this plaza were destroyed with recent floods. Karaku is open for business and as wonderful as always!

We order frequently from Karaku because their sushi and bento boxes are delicious and generously sized. We love their sushi and sashimi for two platter ($50). The quality of the ingredients and the presentation are always excellent. I only gave it 4 starts because personally I don’t like lettuce in rolls and they seem to use them in almost every roll we tried. Everything else is great!

Hunan Wok

Im glad I decided to try this place out for myself. The food was so good and everyone was friendly. New loyal customer

I just send over 50$ on garbage. Egg rolls are burnt on the outside and mushy in the inside. Orange chicken was just nasty. We ate the because we were starving. Also ate burned wings. Never again

La BoriChina

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! In a word… PHENOMENAL!!! I drove almost 2 hours (one way) just to eat here and bring food back home, literally!! I love this place from the food to the service and the prices!!! The best Latino/Asian Fusion restaurant that I’ve ever had the pleasure of having!! I can’t wait to go back!!!

I finally made it here all the way from West Haven. Everything on the menu looks wonderful. The place was nice and clean. Everything was clear straight forward. The best of both worlds . Is puerto rican food and conida de los chinos you can mix it I had rib tips and Morongo. The only thing I didn't like was the serve everything to go so if you order soup your gonna have to eat it out the to go container. But everything was good I wanna go back and try the fry chicken with tostones.

Hing Wong Chinese Restaurant

103reviews

Hing Wong is a small Chinese takeout spot located right off Route 8 on Huntington Ave in Waterbury. Conveniently located across from Cumberland Farms, Hing Wong offers your classic varieties of American/New York-style Chinese Food. Similar to those classic hole-in-the wall places seen all over NYC, Hing Wong does not look like much on the outside, but that's okay because the food is excellent! All menu items are prepared fresh and are served in large portions at relatively cheap prices. Definitely check out their lunch specials where you can get a whole meal for under $10. My personal favorites are General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Boneless Ribs, and Hunan Beef. Even if you are loyal to your current Chinese restaurant, definitely check this one out and work it into your rotation. Hing Wong is open 6 days a week and is available for dine-in(very small space), takeout, and delivery

Ordered a small shrimp with garlic sauce which was tasty. $11 is expensive for 5 shrimp, overwhelming amount of veggies and no spicy.
