Chiu Fai Garden

The food is delicious. So glad they reopened They’re very friendly and the combination dinners are extremely reasonable and delicious. Such great quality and lots of food. Very happy to have them back! Best Chinese food in Norwalk and nice to have something affordable too

Excellent food! I picked up hot and sour soup, an egg roll and shrimp and broccoli today. The soup was excellent with a spicy kick. The egg roll was so crispy but not greasy. The jumbo shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was just right. The best I’ve had in a long time!

Coromandel Cuisine of India

This restaurant is excellent! I used to eat at Coromandel in Stamford, but unfortunately, it closed. I’m happy there’s one not too far away in Darien. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh from the lunch menu and added naan. Everything was delicious, and the portions were perfect for lunch. The staff is very friendly, helping to describe the different dishes and providing great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. I highly recommend this place!

Coromandel Darien serves the food of your dreams…fresh ingredients, outstanding flavor, with excellent service. I have been here a few times and every visit is flavor heaven. I cannot stop exclaiming about the dishes multiple times throughout the meal because it’s just THAT good. I’m Indian, and highly discerning when it comes to Indian restaurants. This may be the best Indian restaurant I have encountered. It’s a small space, 2 rooms and a table up front because they clearly do a bustling take out business. But it is always busy inside too, because if you know, you know. It is a bit pricey but you are paying for such high quality that it is absolutely worth it. Everything is made from scratch that same day. There is nothing like this restaurant and their delectable food. I will continue dreaming of it until next time.

Lazy Sister

Service and atmosphere is overall very good, very attentive staff. I asked for “Very spicy” on both dishes I ordered Dumplings: A bit too overdone on sweetness, which threw off balance the rest of the dish. I generally prefer much more filling with a slightly firmer texture. This had too much doughy wrapper and not enough filling which was slightly disappointing. Overall besides construction of the dumpling itself I would have preferred a bit less sweetness and a bit more Zhejiang Vinegar to balance out the dish more. Dry Pot Beef: I liked the flavors on this one. The Broccoli stems brought a nice textural balance with the crunch. Beef itself was nicely tender and done very well. While I generally don’t believe Chinese food shouldn’t only be “cheap” as it takes a high amount of effort to make, the pricing was a tad high given how small the portion size was.

Came here for a date night, was a decent meal it's like fancy Chinese food. The atmosphere is great they have a decent wine list and they have some interesting options for food. It was pretty busy even earlier in the evening, so book ahead otherwise you might have to wait a while at the bar .

Mẹcha Noodle Bar

2nd time here and still one of our favorite Asian restaurants. The Tonkatsu Ramen is our favorite! The shrimp fried rice and chicken fried rice is great as well. They always have great music playing.

The tonkatsu was very good, I've had better broth but this held its own. I had it with the bok choy added. The chasu was the tastiest I've had in a tonkatsu anywhere. I was tempted to try the chili oil but I don't like to eat spicy the day before traveling. The egg rolls were very nice and the fried shrimp bao was amazing. The ramen has a wonderful texture. My wife and I really enjoyed it! We will definitely return when in Norwalk.

Oishi Sushi & Izakaya

Amazing service and catering experience! We've been enjoying Oishi for years, and the sushi is always fresh and delicious—my daughter's favorite and mine! So, naturally, we chose them to cater our wedding after-party (since our wedding was a destination event), and it was the perfect decision! Pete, Vicki, and their team went above and beyond to create a beautiful, fresh, and absolutely delicious display. They were incredibly accommodating with menu planning and a pleasure to work with. They even ended the night with a personalized edible display!

Update: I decided to give the restaurant another chance and this time I went to dine in. The experience was totally different—their sushi was delicious, and the service was much better than I expected. I guess the first time it was just bad timing. ————- I regret to say that my recent experience at Oishi Sushi & Izakaya was disappointing. Despite placing orders regularly every other week, my pickup experience this time was marred by prolonged delays and disorganization. I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes, it took over 50 minutes for it to be prepared. The lack of communication and management presence during this time was frustrating, leaving both myself and other customers waiting without any explanation or reassurance. While I appreciate the quality of their sushi, the consistently poor service detracts from the overall experience. I hope they can address these issues to provide a more satisfactory experience for their customers in the future.

Sono Ramen

I was excited to come and get a bowl of spicy ramen. I planned on just ordering to go. I even spent a dollar on the parking meter. I arrived at 6:40pm, 20 minutes before closing. They told me they were closed… but there was a family sat down eating. They couldn’t even honor their closing time. Will not be back!

This is the best Ramen place, not only is the food absolutely fresh and delicious but Ms.Newjersy and her staff are so kind and considerate, my 4 year old spilled his ramen and they gladly replaced it and checked on him that he was OK. If I could give them 10 stars 🌟 I would!

El Sabor Salvadoreño

I pass this place every Wednesday and yesterday I decided to try it. It was overpriced for the food quality is not the best, you can get a lot better tasting food if you do it yourself for a lot less, the cashier also charged me more than what I ordered unless a canned coke is $8, I didn’t say anything cause that was about what I was gonna tip but made it clear that they taking advantage of people. Anyway this place deserves a one star or less

Not sure how these ratings are so high. I came here today to order a back egg and cheese. To my surprise I received a cheese and egg with a HINT of bacon. They said they can only give 2 slices of bacon smh. Will not be returning here anymore. This is beyond ridiculous ! What EXACTLY is this

Haruki Ramen & Izakaya

Certainly never going back to this place. The staff seemed very carefree and didn’t seem to pay any attention towards the guests. The food was awful and I am sure they didn’t use good quality ingredients as it tasted very bad. I am sharing a picture here to show proof. The silverware, wooden spoons, ladles were not clean, utensils are clearly worn out due to excessive usage. It was a very bad experience, we didn’t even finish our meals, as the food quality was poor and not hygienic. I asked the lady for forks and she gave us two different looking forks which had so many scratches on it.

Delightful Japanese owned restaurant. With unique welcoming staff. Drinks delicious, food was great, and service on point. We usually sit at the bar and Christopher and Felipe are great. We stopped by for late night and it was fun.

Cove Pizza

Grew up with this food so i might be biased but this is the best pizza in stamford. When i was a little kid the older owner would give me free slices through the window. Till this day i have no idea what happened to him but he was such a kind soul and only made the restaurant and food better.

Waited an hour and 10 minutes for them to deliver me an ice cold pie. I live 1.1 miles from them. $9.99 for 4 ice cold kids ravioli. You guys have the audacity to charge $2.50 for each ravioli? Been ordering from here since 2015. Never again.

Munay Peruvian Food

140reviews

I was skeptical of eating here because Peruvian food never called to me, but the food was good. I was pleased with the appetizers and entree

Simple and delicious Peruvian meal. So lucky that I stumbled on this place near my hotel in Norwalk. Authentic and fresh. I didn’t eat all of this but took pictures of my neighbors food because it looked so good. Had the shrimp risotto but will try the ceviche on my next visit.

Dhabewala Indian Shack

The best Indian food in Stamford! For lunch, I ordered from the lunch menu, which includes the vegetable of the day, rice, and Naan. I can't recall which proteins we chose, but both were delicious. We also tried the Chowpatty Pao Bhaji, which was equally tasty. On a cold winter day, this meal provided comfort and warmth. Our waiter was very friendly, offering recommendations and describing menu options. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, adorned with decorations, and comfortable. With plenty of menu options to explore, I look forward to returning to try more dishes. Highly recommended!

The food was authentically cooked and delicious. I did ask the waitress if they hand made Parata’s or was it frozen. She did say it was made and not frozen. I’d take her word for it. Amritsari gosht was amazing with garlic naan . Chaat was mediocre, can be better.

Sushi Soba

These sushi were fantastic! The salmon and avocado were exceptionally fresh and flavorful. The shrimp tempura was very crispy and with the eel sauce, it was especially satisfying. The presentation was also beautiful and I'll be back next time!

We ordered the chicken pad thai, Asian lomein and bean noodles. All were excellent.
