Love this place. It’s a Chinese takeout restaurant in a mall food court. Manage your expectations accordingly…but it’s also a family-run small business where the food is lovingly prepared. It’s my favorite American-Chinese restaurant in the city. A great place to keep in your back pocket when you need in a quick meal in the Quarters! Updating to say the salt n pepper wings are a must try!

The sauce is a lot more watery than at other Chinese joints (which means they must not use as much corn starch for thickening) but the value is superb. For $7-$8 a combo you get an entree and two sides. For the sides you can choose between fried rice, lo mein, and potatoes, and an egg roll. What’s amazing about this place is that the entrees are all made to order, so there is a bit of a wait but everything comes out steaming hot and fresh! Not to mention, the lady at the front is very generous with the portions. An awesome value for tourists and locals alike, though I’d probably recommend this more for locals. You definitely won’t go hungry here.

ordered 3 different dishes with different sauces and ingredients but ended up getting nearly identical sauces and veggies with the protein being different. fried rice wasn’t too flavorful either. huge portions. be advised.

This place was really good. The portion size was good too. I loved their rice and the chicken wings. The owners were really friendly too.

5 stars for exceeding my expectations. This is my 2nd visit. Small place hidden inside the tunnel. The first time, I came here for lunch a few weeks ago and ordered the Vermicelli with Chicken. It was good. Portion was great and the char grilled chicken was awesome. Nothing bad to say about it except that I wish it would in a bowl. This my first time trying the Pho here and I am seriously surprised. I came in with low expectations but the broth is as good as some other places in Houston. Broth was flavorful and not bland. Noodles were not overcooked. I ordered the beef, and it came out to be a combination, like the dac biet at other restaurants. Good portion of different meats and it didn't taste old or rubbery. Overall, great lunch spot for Vietnamese food.

I am thoroughly disappointed. I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken soup. Do you see the pictures? I got white rice with some old and dried pieces of chicken thrown on top and it's not seasoned. The chicken soup is ugh, bland and tasteless. Never, not ever plan to eat here again. 👎

Chicken( very dry) n broccoli ; Beef n mushroom very bland.

In the words of my dear mama, “You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.” Honestly though, it wasn’t bad. Just average. The orange chicken was hard but the bourbon chicken was good. Rice was pretty good also.

You can tell the food has been sitting out too long once you bight in. It may have been ok if it was fresh. However this was soggy. The sauces one the meat were ok but still lacked flavor. They use pretty much exclusively dark meat from what I can tell based on my orange chicken. The staff was very nice but the food is not worth it at all. I think the sauce with the egg rolls maybe had ketchup in it based on the flavor. The chow mein was pretty good though.

Most authentic Chinese food in the tunnels. It’s also my new go-to place for lunch in One Allen Center. There’s hardly any line and the staff is friendly! It’s steam tables for Chinese food cooked daily. I’ve had the salt & pepper pork, salt & pepper fish, curry chicken, and pork belly. All are tasty and feel authentic! I’ve tried the egg roll and the sesame balls, but the sesame balls are my favorite. I recommend going for the 1 entree combo and do a split between cabbage and rice as shown in my photos. Makes for a tasty balanced meal🤣.

Not good, food was cold, plastic sausage casing in my dumpling. Go get soup dumplings at Trader Joe’s instead. Surprised this place is still in business. Two locations? Sheesh

Amazing spot, fried rice always fluffy and fresh and their dumplings are amazing!!
