P.F. Chang's
Our server, Erika, was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Friendly, outgoing, bubbly, energetic, funny, great communication - she made at least half of the experience! Dim lights and a cozy booth made for great atmosphere! We originally intended on eating at another nearby restaurant but it was closed unexpectedly and we were pleased to be seated without much wait. Food was delicious as always. We started with cocktails, Rising Dragon đ and Shanghai Southside đ(the latter which will most definitely become my new at-home cocktail go-to), and apps, Northern Style Spare ribs and a surprise addition of BBQ Pork Spare Ribs which were made for us by a happy little accident, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed!!! Next, I ordered my usual, Crispy Honey Chicken. My husband decided to try something new, Ma Po Tofu, which was SO good. Light crisp, perfect amount of spice, and I loved how they were chopped into smaller pieces! Sauce was really tasty and broccoli was soft but crunchy - made to perfection! May very well become my new fave! Even though we were incredibly full (and Erika was gracious enough to box up our extras) we finished with the Banana Spring Rolls and I was so happy we didn't skip out! The accompanying coconut ice cream was heavenly and an excellent pairing for each perfectly sliced banana bite! I appreciate that they are served in pieces instead of whole rolls as it made it easy to share and eat with chopsticks.
Itâs really sad to write this review for one of my favorite dining places. Iâve been a loyal customer for a long time, always dining in, and the experience has always been fantastic â great service, great food. However, the delivery experience through DoorDash has been a complete letdown. Iâm not a takeout customer; the food is only great when you dine in. The portions were shockingly small, the noodles dry and plain, and the dessert was so tiny it felt like a joke. On top of that, the price doesnât match the quality at all. Last night was the final straw. I ordered a Pad Thai with extra sauce and ended up with cold, flavorless noodles that were painfully dry. The Singapore Street Noodles were just as bad â dry and unappetizing. Even the cucumber salad, which I expected to be fresh and flavorful, was plain and forgettable. You know that feeling when youâre craving a delicious meal, youâre hungry, and what you get is a complete disappointment? That was my experience, several times, through Doordash. After giving this place so many chances, weâve made the difficult decision to never order online or visit the restaurant again. The inconsistency in food quality is just too frustrating. Farewell.
Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant
Although the place itself isnât particularly impressive at first glance, the food is absolutely outstanding! Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. The portions were huge, so big that we had to take some home. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and the soup was delicious. The waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, frequently checking in to see if we needed more water or anything else. The prices were very reasonable as well. Weâll definitely be coming back!
Stopped in for lunch while my windshield was being replaced in the same strip mall. They have great lunch specials, and the service was excellent. The shrimp fried rice was huge and tons of big shrimp. So good!!
Ivy's Chinese
excellent customer service! above & beyond. my fault. I tried something off the menu & it didn't appeal to me. we enjoyed everything that we ordered on the menu esp the fresh veggies! cas atmosphere & welcoming greeting upon arrival.
2024-October There were ample complimentary parking spaces conveniently located in front of the establishment. The service was prompt and exceptional. The quality of the food was inconsistent. The establishment was well-maintained and hygienic. Bon AppĂ©tit đ
Jade Dynasty Restaurant
The food is amazing ! Very fresh and just great. Definitely different than your usual Chinese restaurant. Service is great. The place got packed fast. The atmosphere is -cold. Also, there is no alcohol(for those of you who like to drink saké or something else). Jasmine tea was good! There was no music or anything else on the background playing so you can hear everybody's conversation across the place. Otherwise definitely go there. We had the sizzling meats, sweet and sour chicken, wontons, egg rolls, and fried rice.
We have ordered from them in the past and been very happy. Tonight we ordered two entrees and an order of cheese wontons. It was 44$. We were ok because itâs usually 2-3 meals. We get home tonight and weâre totally skimped. I would have been more satisfied going to Panda. Definitely would have received more food for less. We wonât be back. I donât mind spending money on good food, but if theyâre going to give half of what they used to for 15.95, Iâll go elsewhere.
China Wok
My first time there service was prompt professional and courteous. I ordered the egg rolls which were very good crispy on the outside and pleasingly well made insides I mention that because for some reason most egg rolls from other establishments are mushy on the inside like it was purĂ©e and flavorless yuk! I also had the beef lo mein noodles and flavorings were good but I didnât care for the beef being chopped into strips about inch and a half long and rectangular squared look wise I thought it looked like pork but the taste was beef and a little harder to chew and digest. I prefer the beef sliced thin and flat not rectangulary square. Just my opinion. I will try other dishes in my he future but will definitely be ordering more egg rolls.
I usually order for take out or delivery from this establishment and have been for at least 5-10 years. They are the only ones that know how to make an egg fu yung that I am used to being from Chicago. It used to be the absolute best but in the last year something changed and the gravy they send with it is watery and tasteless. It used to be this rich thick brown gravy and know itâs meh at best. I donât know what changed, recipe? Cook? Different supplier? I just wish they would go back. Every other dish i have had have been very good and recommend them for the most part. Like I said the quality has gone down in the last year or two.
Coal Mine Dragon Chinese
Ive never left a review before but definitely needed to this time. (Also forgive the Pho picture, it was so good I ate basically all of it before even thinking about leaving a review) The reopened "Coal Mine Dragon" (now the Pho Toi) is hands down the best asian food place in Colorado Springs. BEFORE the reopening of the Coal Mine Dragon to the Pho menu, I decided to not eat there ever again. I'm so glad I went back after the new management took over. I had the fried rice, which was some of the best I've had, and the Pho Bo Vien(the Pho with meatballs) and it was all amazing. The to-go containers for the Pho are partitioned out between the hots/colds/and soup, it's all(including the fried chicken) made on site and so good. The service was amazing, the man behind the counter was super understanding about me wandering the restaurant with my two month old when he was getting restless. He even swapped stories with me as I was rocking my little one. The wait time was basically nothing compared to how it used to be, the food is so much better, the menu is all new but if you want the old menu they do have a legacy menu. If you ate at CMD before and didn't like it, go there now, it's my new favorite spot in all of colorado springs.
This place is amazing. They have now combined to make Pho and it's absolutely delicious. I ate every bite and drank every drop of pho. I highly recommend this place. Prices are good as well. Come support this local restaurant. 11/10. I will definitly be coming back. I would've posted a picture of the full bowls but it was too good to wait to take pictures.
China Cottage
I read all the other reviews and not to be biased I just don't understand what the other reviews/ people know what Chinese food is. Being from California and living in Colorado this is the best Chinese food that I have ever had. I had it delivered and the person that delivered my food was super nice and not aggressive. The food I got was hot season and was on point. I recommend this spot to any and everybody that's in the vicinity. If I'm wrong.. which I hope I'm not.. correct me
The food way ok. Not very flavorful. Not spicy like the menu indicated the crab cheese wontons were old. The chicken on a stick was slightly flavored. My Thai meal was ok. The basil on my chicken was slimy and didn't have a basil flavor at all. The sweet and sour sauce was bitter. The rice was not cooked today that's for sure. Glad I tried it though It made me appreciate the Chinese restaurant we usually go to even more!
Tao's Oriental Cuisine
Looked for an Oriental restaurant and found this gem! Walked in and we were the only ones in the restaurant until another couple came. Husband ordered shrimp and broccoli and I ordered the happy family dinner combos, which included soup, egg roll, a fried cheese wonton and choice of steam or fried rice. The menu is extensive with everything one would ever want to eat. The jasmine tea needed time to brew but was still good. I should have never looked down because the restaurant needs a thorough cleaning! If we were to be back, in the area, I would stop back .. maybe for take out.
Guys, You've got to do a better job with frying your chicken! The two dishes that I got for the kids to eat, the chicken was so poorly cooked we may as well have served them cardboard. Everything else was average but when I come home to feed 4 kids and then have to make frozen pizza because you failed at what should be super simple and delicious, then I'm not happy. I have it a four star because it was hot and ready when. I showed up and the girl was nice, but that doesn't fix the chicken.
Jing Young Chinese & Hot Pot
Way over priced, example cilantro is $4.50 If you order a soda it comes canned sitting in your glass on top of the ice. Refills are not free. I had beef broccoli It came with over cooked rice that seemed like maybe it was yesterdays batch and both the Beef broccoli and rice had little flavor. My two guest ordered the hot pot they liked the sauces and spring rolls but the shrimp and mussels smelled bad. It was not busy at all, two other tables were occupied but the waitress was mostly busy doing chores? I'm not sure but I had to wave her down to pay for another soda. with a tip it was a 154.00 for three people That would be fine if the quality of food and service matched the pricing. I will never go back
First time trying this restaurant and I will say I was highly impressed. The owner was very nice and food was fresh. My friend and myself did HOT POT. And it was a great experience. Being his first time at a hotpot It was a learning experience. The wonderful owner was out there explaining how it worked to him. I highly recommend this establishment. If you like HOTPOT. Good place for a first time!
Dragon King Chinese Restaurant
Dragon King is a place to love, if not obsess over. You have to visit, step inside and have a meal there to know what I mean. The restaurant is beautiful and spotless. The staff are kind and courteous, as well as accommodating and friendly. About the food, enough cannot be said. My dish, the Spicy Pork with Vegetables, was sumptuous. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. My only wish was that it was spicier(I like my food to hurt!). My partner's dish, the Mongolian Beef, was superb. The beef was tender and the vegetables were tender with just the right amount of crunch. Again, it could have been spicier but was delicious nonetheless. Overall, DK has great grub. Hands down, my favorite Asian restaurant on the Mesa. I'm inclined to say they're top 10 in the Springs, as a whole. Their flavorful fare, crossed with excellent customer service and a beautifully situated interior, make this a place to remember. Your family, date or company will appreciate the thoughtfulness of your choice and your stomach will thank you later. Five Stars!
Food was great, nice portions and I would say the prices are fair for what you get. They have combo deals that are really good, and the food came out fairly quick. Definitely recommend if youâre in the mood for some Chinese food!
Jasmine Garden
If you are looking for an excellent Chinese restaurant, especially in a small town like Monument, Colorado, this should be your one and only choice! I might even say that if you were driving down I 25 and you were considering visiting this place, go ahead and do it you will not regret your choice! I have visited many Chinese restaurants, most of them are not worth leaving a review, however, this one is definitely on the top of my list of places that I have enjoyed eating recently! It is a small family owned Chinese restaurant with a family that truly takes care of you. The meals are a great value with large portions. This is a definite must stop. I had a large lunch that I attended here and they treated us so graciously, that I decided I must write a review. The food, the service was great! You will thank me !
If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered their "Chef Special - Beef Pan Fried Noodle" and in no way is that Beef as the owners claim. I had my boyfriend and son try it and they both said it tasted and looked like pork. I am personally allergic to pork which was the bigger concern. After calling the restaurant very politely and explaining the issue, the owner told me I'd have to bring the whole dish back in order to receive a refund so they could inspect it. To be clear, I wasn't requesting a refund on anything else in our order, only this one dish. Not only was the rest of the food rated to a low-medium at best but what you would expect from a quick take-out Chinese, my biggest issue was the horrible customer service to have to demand a person to then physically drive a dish back so they can inspect it before they would issue a refund?! For one dish, that's definitely not worth the time or money. I'm not a person to leave reviews on a place, but this situation felt worth sharing to others... "Chef Special - Beef Pan Fried Noodle" in the trash and never again will I order from Jasmine Garden!
Columbine Gardens
Our group agreed this is the best Chinese food we've had in years. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. We had General Tso's Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp... outstanding! Huge portions. We took home enough for another meal. We'll definitely be back and happy it's right here in Monument.
Family ran Chinese restaurant. Clean and amazing atmosphere and staff. Came here on Christmas Day after Mass. Currently in Palmer Lake Recovery Village. Looked forward to this place all week. Definitely didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and I felt less alone on Christmas. Best hot and sour soup I've had ever! Mongolian combo is posted below.
