I came with my family during weekends. The buns and fried tofu were delicious and tasty. All of us love it. A good place, very chill and friendly. This is a hidden gem in Hoboken

My wife and I recently visited South Lions Dim Sum & Tea, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. We loved the variety of dim sum options, all served fresh and hot. The steamed dumplings were perfect, and the Portuguese egg tarts were a sweet and delightful treat. The service was efficient and friendly, and we appreciated how clean and cozy the place felt. Everything we tried was excellent. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes! This restaurant is now one of our favorites, and we can’t wait to come back again! If you’re in Hoboken and looking for a great place to enjoy dim sum with your loved ones, this is the spot to go.

Amazing customer service, all the workers here were extremely kind. We went there around 7pm during the weekend so it was a little busy but all the workers did amazing with making sure everyone was taken cared of fast. Our food came out fast and the servings were huge. Worth every penny, I would absolutely recommend and come back here!

Great! Delicious food, came out very fast, large portions. Friendly service, came back often, refilled water repeatedly without asking. Very clean. Nice inside. Nice bathroom. We arrived at about 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy (good sign) but we got a table right away. Chicken curry was delicious. Large beef noodle bowl tender meat, delicious. Hunan chicken delicious. Lunch specials available up until 4:30 on a saturday! Everything was great

Been wanting to come here for a since they moved a couple of years ago. Their old space, now called Chili, has a lot of the same dishes. My favorite there is Mr and Mrs Smith. Curiously named, I thought, until I came to Cafe China and saw the exact same dish called Husband and Wife Special. Instead I ordered the smoked tofu cold dish. Lots of spicy oil and numbing peppercorns. Could use some more peanuts and scallions in the dish but still tasty. The Spicy Fish was fried, and comes with lots of dried red peppers, cilantro and 2 limes. Delicate flavor and lightly fried. The tea program is on point. This oolong tastes like a 2nd batch from a high mountain plantation. Very good

I’ve been coming to Café China for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently great. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever ordered something I didn’t like here. The scallion pancakes, in particular, were a standout on my most recent visit — perfectly crispy, flaky, and packed with flavor. Overall, just a reliably great spot that continues to deliver.

The food was exceptional. Fillings were generous. Very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place. However, it took us an hour to get our meal and I found this quite slow for a dim sum place. We ordered six items and each came one by one with a long wait in between. We had the scallion pancake, shrimp and chives dumpling, crispy roasted duck rolls, vegetable trio, black truffle and mushroom dumpling and the pork and crab meet soup dumpling. Would recommend them all!

After finishing work, one of our friends from Asia recommended Dao Dim Sum, and we gladly agreed to give it a try. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a spacious and inviting atmosphere. We sat at a comfortable round table by the window that was perfect for our group of five. Rather than choosing from the menu ourselves, we left it up to our friend to surprise us with his selections and it was the best decision! While I’m not great with the names, I absolutely loved the shrimp dumplings, crispy shrimp rolls, abalone shumai, and steamed fish balls. Each dish was bursting with unique flavors and perfectly prepared. The food, the ambiance, and the great company made a fantastic experience. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful dim sum, Dao Dim Sum is definitely worth a visit!

Really cool that there is now a place like @octo.nyc that serves Korean “Chinese” food. We were only there for a quick lunch so couldn’t order much food, but the dishes at other tables looked good 👀 My jjamppong was yummy with many ingredients, but also very spicy! I like spices but was starting to sweat! The portion was large too so I left happy and full.

You could see and taste the dedication and craftsmanship that went into the food as to presentation and quality highlights it. The duck was my favorite as the thick sauce and vegetables pair greatly in the thin dough wrap. The noodles of the black bean noodles (not pictured) were perfectly chewy and made in-house. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I recommend it!!

The food here is entirely worth the wait and trip if you’re not super close. The udon and Lucky six Soup Dumplings options were my favorite. The Lucky Six is an especially good deal to try out different flavors without having to get a whole set of each one. Staff was kind even when they let us know we had to give up the table (the place was getting busier since we arrived and my friend and I somewhat overstayed our welcome. I understood and brought the leftovers with me). Would love to pass by again for another meal

Compared to the same restaurant in the east village, this one is inferior in terms of the food quality. The noodle is far from what it should be. I never saw a fried pork chop being served separately from the noodle. Moreover, the noodle has no flavor at all and salt is barely added. The buns are on the same level of those prepackaged and sold in the grocery store. The only one of okayish quality is the beef pancake. It's a place to grab something quickly in midtown but definitely not a place to enjoy food.

Really affordable for the area with authentic flavor and good portions. Fast service and I liked the hand sanitizer throughout. Although they do seem to recycle, everything is served in plastic. Changing to proper bowls would make a huge difference. Do note that they also incentive reviews by giving free (good) popcorn chicken.

The best vegetarian value in the city! Gluten free noodles too. Love this place for a casual meal south of Times Square in the Fashion District. I ordered N3 (mild) with extra tofu skin. This establishment uses a plastic bowl and utensils, so if you prefer silverware, either bring your own set or place a delivery order.

Ordered for pick up for lunch with coworkers. My order was ready when I got there but two of my coworkers had to wait a bit. There were a lot of people waiting to pick up their orders and also people dining in. The space is a bit small and seemed like there were a lot of takeout orders. I got the shredded beef with hot peppers udon and garlic cucumber salad. They charged me a $1 for chili oil. The noodles were oily but flavored well. The garlic cucumber salad wasn’t good at all. It tasted bitter and was not flavorful at all. Coworkers seemed to enjoy their foods esp the pan fried pork soup dumplings.

Great service, all the staff were very kind and accommodating. If you decide to come here the soup dumplings are a must try!! I wish we got the pan fried ones as well The best item was definitely the soup dumplings, then the Shanghai stir fried rice cake, and lastly the pork chop. I probably wouldn’t come back but for being in such a touristy location, the soup dumplings really took me by surprise. These are some of the most flavorful soup dumplings I’ve had with a nice wrapper texture, something you don’t always see in other spots.

Accommodating restaurant for 7 people! I liked the Szechuan food here - the cumin lamb, spicy chicken, the truffle fried rice were all stellar. The soup dumplings were great, the Peking duck was decent but I’ve had better. I liked all the veggies, the eggplant and cucumber salad and all.

Our dining experience in New York was exceptional. Coco, our server, was an absolute delight. She efficiently managed carry-out orders, answered phone inquiries, and handled reservations—all while making us feel incredibly welcome, even with our two children in tow. The bartender showcased true craftsmanship; every drink we had was superb, and his stylish demeanor added to the overall experience. The food and service were outstanding, making our New York visit all the more worthwhile. We deeply appreciate the restaurant’s family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring that dining with children was a pleasant experience.

For the desperate and closeby, Chopstick House will technically deliver "food" quickly, and cheaply. For those who care about the flavor and/or quality of the food they ingest, keep moving. There's plenty of other cheap Chinese in the neighborhood, and I imagine any other option would be a better one.

We walked from our hotel to the restaurant, We had worked up quite the appetite. The restaurant did not disappoint, they have great service with even better food. Great value considering the location.

What an amazing deal - $39.99 for all you can eat hotpot AND sushi …in Manhattan! The value made the food taste even better. I loved everything about my lunch here, delicious food (great options for hot pot, sushi rolls, and sides which come inclusive), super friendly service (went for Sunday late lunch so there were only 3 other tables dining), and gorgeous interior. Definitely the prettiest hot pot restaurant I’ve ever been to! Please be sure to come hungry because it’s a ton of food! And I think it was really tasty (I recommend the mushroom soup base) especially for the price! Also, they have happy hours. I’ll have to come back to try the elevated AYCE option ($79) which has a larger menu of hotpot items and sushi AND beer!

We had a fabulous hotpot sushi dinner here. Staffs are super friendly and always attentive to our needs. The food is so delicious and fresh. Definitely luxury feel for the decors inside. Update: 3rd visit while in New York. Service was slow and waiter has avoided my son’s requests. The salmon sashimi came out not fresh and super small. Don’t order their sushi, barely a super thin slice of fish, with a lot of rices. The quality of food and service is definitely going down the drain. Too sad for the business.
