Asia Kitchen 福临门
Highly recommend for best Asian food in Knoxville and did not disappoint. Portions are huge, ingredients are fresh, sauces are very flavorful. They are more than happy to customize items if needed. Orange chicken is traditional with orange peel for zest, dark meat and not overly breaded. Pork intestine appetizer is highly rated and unique. Pho is some of the best in the area. Hot and sour soup is packed with flavor and veggies.
Not your average American Chinese restaurant... Take a look just at the egg drop wonton soup... Color, depth of flavor, and a broth with real body. Absolutely wonderful food.
Asia Cafe - Callahan Drive
I love this place. The sushi is always delicious, but no matter what I get it’s yummy. It is a bit more expensive, but I think it’s worth it for the quality and portion size. Try a Thai Tea if you haven’t!
Love coming here. Staff is great and attentive also both hibachi and sushi taste phenomenal.
Golden Garden Chinese Restaurant
I have been ordering food from here for over 16+ years. The food is the best take out/american style Chinese food I've ever had. As I have described it to family and friends who have also become fans, is it is like standard Chinese take out, but done fresh, by hand, and with homemade style recipes/cooking. For instance the best hot and sour soup and egg drop soup around, where most restaurants are usually overly thick and artificially yellow, Golden Garden's has a nice and normal soup consistency, natural color, and doesn't tasted processed/generic. The sweet and sour sauce is thin, not gelatinous, and tastes like it is actually made with pineapple juice instead of premade. The best pad thai Knoxville TN, better than taste of Thai when they we're open or other places I've tried. If you're expectations are your standard overly thicken/gelatinous sauces, premade/processed panda express style take out than yeah you may be disappointed, but that because the food here is a high quality and well made take on familiar dishes. The service is always great. The owners are friendly and personable. This is a true mom and pop place that has a long history of fans and good reviews for a good reason.
Got the general tso and sesame chicken. Chicken was the weirdest texture- spongy and flavorless. Fried rice was also weirdly textured and not at all what we were hoping for based on other reviews
Plum Tree Chinese Restaurant
I ordered the chicken Singapore noodles and it was definitely the best I’ve had ever. this place has fantastic atmosphere and very clean restrooms. The prices were very affordable and the portion sizes are great for one person. I took a picture of there neat sink in the restroom.
I invited 17 people there to celebrate my birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. The waiters are super friendly and quick, and the cooks always get the food out on time. Every dish is designed with care, and you can taste the energy they put into it. It’s always hot and fresh. Today, I placed an online order, and even when my food got to me (7 minute drive), it was hot. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is beautifully adorned with statues and traditional Chinese decor, and the food tastes homemade. If you ever get the chance, you should stop by this little haven. - Zoë
P.F. Chang's
Love the atmosphere at P F Chang, with a great service. The food is amazing, fried beans, crab wontons and dynamite shrimp are the must haves. The veggie lettuce wrap is delicious too. I love appetizers more than the entree but the main dishes are good. Mongolian beef is very popular.
Pan fried pork dumplings were delicious, but were lukewarm in the middle. Frozen broccoli was used in the tofu dish, the texture was somewhat soggy and watery. I ordered the brown rice, it was hard and did not seem fresh. Service was excellent!
M P Hibachi Grill Chinese
We had a great time! Food was so delicious and all the staff were amazing! Will come back!
UPDATE 2024! * New Owners * A young family has bought the Hibachie Grill and they are so nice and still serving the same great food! Wonderful food! Been eating here since 2006! Consistently well-prepared food and service improves with time... 09/22/2023. Food still wonderful. Service is lacking and, frankly, rather rude.
Empire Garden
Ordered delivery, second time we've ordered from this place. Food is delicious but they recently failed a health inspection, haven't seen any follow score if it has been done. But today, found a staple in my Hibachi combo meal. Sorry but with the health failure and now metal in my food this is 2 strikes and you are out. It's a shame because the food is really good
Great family ran Asian restaurant. Prices are fair and portions are huge. Everything is cooked to order and food came out very hot. The owner, Jojo, checked back several times to make sure everything was good and beverages were full. Lunch special is a good good deal if trying to save money (entree, fried rice, soup or egg roll for $8. Carry out very easy with online ordering from their web page. I will add that dine in portions are larger than carryout.
Ming Tree
We ate here the evening of 8/30 and really enjoyed it. Our server was an older gentleman and he created a lovely experience for us. Even though we only wanted an assortment of our favorite apps, everything was presented beautifully. I’ve been coming to Ming Tree for a long time but hadn’t been there since they renovated and I loved the new modern tables. Everything is very clean as other reviewers have described. The food was tasty and we really enjoyed the complimentary crispy noodles.
AMAZING RESTAURANT! My new favorite place to dine (it's really hard to make my "favorite " list). Unbelievably, I have driven past this restaurant for 30 years or more and never given it a second thought. Two weeks ago my Maryville friends suggested we have dinner here and I'm so happy they did. The restaurant facility itself is very unassuming, especially viewing from the outside. The Ming Tree is is in a small strip shopping center and is located on busy Alcoa Highway, across from the runways at McGhee Tyson Airport. Once inside the dining room the atmosphere is casual and very pleasant. The restaurant is immaculate. The dining room is a medium size room with a mix of tables booths. My friends quickly introduced me to Rudy, our server, whom is a long time employee. Rudy is fantastic and an excellent server. If you're lucky enough to sit in his section, you'll immediately appreciate his kind and caring demeanor. I ordered one of my favorite Chinese dishes; sweet and sour chicken. Needless to say, it was DELICIOUS! Absolutely perfect in every respect. It was a large portion, so come hungry! My friends all have their favorite Ming Tree menu items and entrées. They ordered a variety of food items, everything from soups to egg rolls and fried rice. Everyone enjoyed our respective meals and without doubt, left very happy and satisfied. The menu here offers large selection of Chinese favorites, everything you would expect from a good Chinese food. Ming Tree is excellent for large and small groups. It's also perfect for dining alone. I have since returned to Ming Tree a second time and had another excellent experience I highly recommend Ming Tree! You can expect excellent service and delicious, hot, fresh food. Enjoy!
China House
Stopped in to order. Vast menu! I had the #C5 combination- Moo Goo Gai Pan that came with an egg roll. I chose white rice, rather than fried. The food was finished in less than 10 minutes. I did wait in the restaurant. Felt the dining area could use a makeover. The egg roll that came with the dinner was one of the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. Food was fresh and delicious.
First time here. Ordered house special lomein(too salty), boneless spare ribs(too dry, overcooked) and hot/sour soup(too bland, not sour or spicy). Our order was given to someone else, no apologie for the mistake and had to wait longer.
Wok N Roll
Update... 6/6/24 we are here again, and I'm here to tell you I must've been in a bad mood the first time, or I caught them on a bad day, but this time the food was fantastic. I had Gen Tso, and she had pork lo mein. Both just as good as it gets. We had pork egg rolls that were good, and one of the best hot&sour soups I've had in Knoxville. The service was speedy with courteous staff. The food was good, but not great. The chicken was good breast meat, lightly breaded and crispy, which I enjoy, but the flavor was only mediocre
We were in the area and craved Chinese food. I found this restaurant online because it had the most stars. I can see why! We ordered mixed lo mein and beef egg foo yung. Oh my! Hot and so tasty! Highly recommend!!
osaka hibachi & sushi buffet
I just had the buffet there today for the first time and the food was delicious! I had the mouthwatering egg rolls with an orange, bread and chocolate pudding. The sushi was amazing! The service great and the atmosphere was really nice! I will definitely go back. Highly recommended! 95 A
We used to frequent this establishment alot more, when we lived closer. We went back today for lunch, Not much has changed. Decent food, price may have went up a little (understandable) service was good even with the large lunch crowd.
Szechuan Garden Chinese Restaurant
The server was very nice and accommodating, which I appreciated. However, the teriyaki chicken meal was a huge letdown. It was about 80% mushrooms, which wasn’t disclosed on the menu, and barely had any chicken—especially compared to the sweet and sour chicken. The portion of actual chicken was incredibly disappointing. After I brought it up, they replaced it with sweet and sour chicken, which was good. The egg rolls were also solid, and the other meals at our table looked much better. The people I was dining with seemed happy with their meals, so it seems like I just picked the wrong dish. My wife ordered the bean curd home style. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t spicy as advertised and was about 90% vegetables with very little tofu. Also, their water tastes awful. Another issue was how freezing it was inside. Everyone at our table had to keep their jackets on the entire meal, which made it pretty uncomfortable. Overall, I was really bummed about the teriyaki, but the sweet and sour and the great service helped salvage the experience.
Some of the best Chinese food I've had. The Eight Treasure Chicken was incredible! Service was good and friendly too. We went on a sunday afternoon and all meals were only $10, which was a really fair and competitive price. Will be back for sure!
