My family has came here a couple times and it was my first time! There noodle soups are pretty cheap compared to other places outside of Chinatown. Each bowl is roughly $10. Both my sister and I got their beef brisket & wonton noodle soup. My mom got their pig feet noodle soup. We shared a plate of liver & kidney, this was so good; I love the soy sauce they use for this dish. The portions were just right for the low price you pay. Wontons were plump and full of ground meat & shrimp! Brisket was pretty tender, I just had a couple pieces that were to tough to chew. I would totally come back for a cheap meal!!!

Food was great given the price. Beef brisket was tender and flavorful. Wontons were handmade and super fresh

We came for dinner. When this location used to be Enrico's, they used to have live music. Fast forward to now, it is a Chinese restaurant. The layout remains the same. There's a bar on the right hand side but it is now missing the lively atmosphere. It is quiet roomy restaurant. The food all tasted fine. Since it wasn't busy, service was excellent as there were only three other parties in the restaurant. Good job staff at Osmanthus.

One of the things I’m looking for with Dim Sum is a balance between quality, portions and cost. Some people recommend dim sum places that are cheaper or give huge portions but they end up being oily and chewy. Alternatively, some dim sum places are delicious, but the portion sizes are tiny and the hit to your wallet is certainly *NOT* tiny. I am happy to say Osmanthus is the perfect blend of both!! Portion sizes are great, the variety is there, but the dim sum feels fresh and well made - and it’s both delicious without being very expensive. Service was quick, and the large open setting feels lively and elegant, without being pretentious. Clean bathrooms are pleasant and a large open bar adds to the ambiance. The area around is a bit sketchy though so park a little Closer to Chinatown and you’ll be fine!

A little surprised by all the high reviews, but maybe it was just what I ordered. I just wanted a small breakfast so I had shrimp chive dumplings and a chicken bun. Reasonable prices ~$1.50+ per dumpling. The chicken bun was cold. Bread ratio was high to meat, which was bland. I got a huge cartilage chunk and had to spit it out. I prefer the shrimp chive dumplings at Wong Lee bakery. This one the shrimp wasn't whole (more minced), the chive flavor wasn't strong, and the dough was quite thick. I would go back here, but only for a hot rice meal. The eggplant looked incredible. I regret not ordering that. For buns and dumplings, there are better bakeries.

Visited in December 2024, looking for flaky fried taro dim sum. When we inquired about the taro, we were told that they did have the dish. It was in the wrong form: steamed skin instead of fried with flaky edges The steamed taro dumpling with ground meat is okay, not amazing. The right filling, but we wanted the fried ones. We had just purchased multiple boxes of dim sum from 2 other shops so we didn't try anything else. Maybe next time. Cash payment.

This place is amazing! However, be prepared to wait in line, as it’s cash only and there’s nowhere to sit. I highly recommend for you to write down/have ready the number of the item of the menu you want to order, as it will facilitate and make the ordering process faster. I tried the baked pork bun, scallion pancake, shrimp dumplings, and black sesame balls. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The shrimp dumplings were flavorful and had a great texture, while the black sesame balls were not too oily and perfectly cooked (I could eat 1,000 of them!). I completely understand the hype surrounding this place.

If you're used to amazing dumplings - the ones here are beyond below average. Not very good at all. Chewy and glutenous. The pineapple pork bun was OK. There is a small queue outside but runs fast. Luckily the prices are decent for what you get.

We had dinner here and the food & service was great! The staff was friendly and fast. Lots of great variety on the menu. We had Simon’s garlic chicken, crispy egg rolls and honey walnut prawns — all were delicious! The atmosphere is cute and clean! Would definitely be back.

We've been eating at this restaurant since its soft opening. The food is delicious, and ingredients are fresh. Alvin and Eugene treat us well each time we come to dine-in or order take-out. On our most recent visit, we ordered the pot stickers, garlic noodles, beef chow fun, and salt & pepper fish. Very tasty! We consider 606 Restaurant to be one of our go-to destinations.

Casual Dim Sum place frequent by the local elderly Cantonese community. No frills but full of flavor!

For a hole in the wall .. great place for take out or sit down .. locals come around 10 Cuz that’s when the spare ribs over rice comes out ! Simply the best Har Gow & shrimp Cheung fun … why ? They’re generous with the shrimps .. a shrimp in every bite, fried items r great but I would skip the Buns .. too much carbs, not enough filling, bun tends to be on the drier side

Food overall is good and filling. Cucumber salad, pork dumpling, and the noodles were my favorite. Definitely order less than you think. Atmosphere is a bit loud but it is an open kitchen so that plays a role.

China Live is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We started with the dim sum appetizer, which was incredible – each bite was bursting with flavor. The scallion bread was another highlight, perfectly crispy and delicious. For our main dishes, we tried the chicken curry and the sauash, both of which were outstanding. Every dish was expertly prepared and full of flavor. China Live truly provides a memorable and delightful dining experience. Highly recommend!

We stopped in based on reviews and tried a few items: pork bun, soup dumplings, fried dumplings and shrimp dim sum. The filling in the pork bun was very sweet and the meat didn’t taste very fresh, so it was just ok. The shrimp dim sum was tasty and so were the fried dumplings😋. The soup dumplings had a good taste but I don’t think any of us were fans of the texture. The place is very small and was crowded when we entered, so we had to find a corner to review the menu. FYI: there is no seating. While standing in line a lady attempted to cut us and place her order. The lady behind the counter promptly informed her that we were next in line and took our order. This was appreciated as she didn’t seem to speak English. I would try this place again if ever in the area.

Very authentic China town dim sum family owned find. Up to 69 different options on the menu to choose from. While you wait you can hear the sounds of the foreign native languages of the family as they speak to one another while preparing our food. So much fun.

Food was phenomenally delicious. We ordered two rice clay pots and the seafood claypot. Meal came out hot and sizzling. The only complaint I do really have is the cleanliness of the location. The good thing is that a lot of their customers are their locals and when all asians are the ones walking in to eat, this is always a good sign.

Salted chicken and chicken rice clay pot - 4/5, we didn't have soy sauce at our table and didn't realize it was an option until we left. Was still delicious! Pea sprout soup - 3.5/5 ginger garlic based soup, not the best soup I've ever had, but was one of the few soups on the menu, and being a light thing, pairs well with the heavier chicken clay pot

I have no idea why the other reviews are as high as they are. Portions were good for the price, but the quality of the meat ingredients was disappointing. Both the chicken and beef in the main dishes had a truly unnatural texture somewhere between gelatin and a rubber sponge. I've eaten a lot of "cheap" Chinese food, but this version was not pleasant at all. The green onion pancake was actually very tasty, but that shouldn't have been the only highlight of the meal. The owners should consider charging a little more and using better quality meat ingredients. If the meat hadn't been so off-putting, I would easily have given this location at least 4 stars.

Quality Cantonese cooking with good portions and good prices. Quiet location with pleasant service.

This is a nice, clean spot with fantastic service. It came highly recommended by a friend, and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived around 5:45 PM and were able to find street parking by 6 PM. The owner was kind enough to guide us on what to try, encouraging us to explore some new dishes. The dim sum was outstanding. We enjoyed duck wraps with fresh vegetables, a variety of dumplings, shumai, rice soup, and fried rice. The soup dumplings were especially comforting in the cool weather. The chicken feet were tender, flavorful, and had just the right kick. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this place!

i enjoyed dining at this restaurant so much! The staff and serves were SO NICE and helpful, they gave us some of their bunnies for dessert!🩷 Every dish was so good, we finished everything 😭 soup dumplings were just perfect and so juicy! roasted duck was delicious! The interior of the restaurant looks so clean, neat, and new! Great big restrooms by the way! Big clean tables, good lighting, new ceilings :)))

Nice little spot for authentic takeout dim sum and snacks. If the other place is super long then just a few stores down this place is great! Really enjoyed the Malay cake and crispy sesame ball. Next time I'll leave to try more.

New Moon has more than just dim sum. They also have fried rice, chow mein by the pound and fried chicken. I like this restaurant because the food is decent and there isn't a long line like some other over-hyped dim sum restaurant on Stockton St. The Chinese donut, fried chicken and porridge tasted fine. Service was fast. Good job staff at New Moon.
