P.F. Chang's
PF Chang’s has gone downhill over the years, but it’s still pretty good. Make a reservation if you’re going on the weekends, because it’s busy. The orange chicken (ask for it spicy) is tasty. We had to ask for extra sauce for the Pad Thai because the cooks forgot to add it. It’s also pretty expensive.
Katie was very sweet and did an excellent job! As always PFChangs have the best Chinese food in US! Highly recommend for good quality meals that don’t upset your stomach!
Taste of China
I frequently have lunch here when working in Southport. I really only get the same lunch special everytime, but it’s always delicious! This is one of the few that actually gives you an egg roll with your lunch! Definitely a plus!! Food is prepared well and the young woman who runs the counter is very friendly and always makes you feel like family, very welcoming! It is my favorite restaurant for Chinese in Brunswick county!
The food here is amazing and the prices are extremely reasonable. I usually order takeout, but I treated myself to dine-in today while I was running errands. The portions are generous and the employees are very kind. They are willing to answer a multitude of questions for first time customers. I enjoyed sitting down, treating myself to some quiet time and enjoying some of the most comforting Wonton Soup I have ever had. I have definitely found “my place.”
Asian Taste
I use to LOVE this place! We have gone there for a few years. However, the last few times we have ordered anything made with “chicken” it has been really horrible! Slimy and chewy and does not taste like chicken at all - I think it may be tofu. If it had happened just once I would assume ok, just a mistake… but this is a thing now. I will say, the appetizers are still good. Not sure about any other “meat” dishes, but I can tell you the chicken is definitely yuck 🤢
This is our family's go-to spot for spot-on Chinese food of all kinds! Great for fast and friendly carryout service. Oh--and if you're ever feeling you need something ice cold on the cheap, their Quart of Sweet or Unsweet Tea is FABULOUS!
Peking Wok
I used to love this place. My husband and I stopped in tonight. I had Sushi and a couple items off of the bar. My husband ate off of the bar. We were in there 30 minutes and I was ready to go. We were seated. Our drinks were given to us and that was it. The food was dried and old. The sushi wasn't fresh at all. When I asked for some fresh Sushi, I was told yes and there still wasn't any brought out. The place was dirty. Multiple tables that hadn't been cleaned. There were maybe 5 tables that were accompanied by people. The waitress were sitting on a stool behind the counter eating. NOT attending to their customers. 2 adult buffet 1 water and 1 tea in total costed $32.74. A picture is worth a 1,000 words.
My guilty pleasure is Chinese buffet. I stopped here at 6:30 and spent about an hour stuffing my face with all sorts of tasty pieces. Lots of the usual Americanized Chinese items including baked seafood, beef & broccoli, fried green beans, fried pork in batter, chicken wings, lo mein, battered meat in a sweet sauce and yes, a reasonable display of sushi rolls though most were covered in sauce. The restaurant is clean, the steam tables were tidied often and refilled, my waitress cleared dirty dishes and refilled my water. I'm stuffed!
China 1
This place is decent at best. The fried rice is not great, the wings are not either, and the atmosphere is just meh. Service was ok but I felt like the lady in the front was trying to hurry me up. Decent pricing however the portions are also small.
DON’T waste your money! I ordered sesame chicken with rice & a egg roll.. my chicken was PINK! Fully RAW! I only noticed AFTER EATING 3 BITES !!!! I called & they told me they could ONLY replace it, I said fine. I got 4 EGG ROLLS FOR MY $10! The 1st egg roll i didn’t think I’d have to check inside my “fresh” food. Well, MY FOUR REPLACEMENTS WERE MOLDY! At this point I’m not going back for the money nor a conversation! I WILL BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ASAP!!! They should have offered a refund in the 1st place!! I didn’t get photos of the chicken but I did get a photo of a piece of the egg rolls!! Save your money!!
King Gourmet
Food is great and delicious, highly recommend. The general tso's chicken is top notch and be sure to check out the pork fried rice. This restaurant is arguably the best in Hamlet. Well worth the money. Not to mention, the restaurant employees are extremely kind and friendly!
Best Chinese food in the area by far. The customer service is always good, especially the guy at the counter.
Pee Dee Chinese Inc
There egg rolls are delicious but there egg foo yung gravy taste like straight soy cause I couldn’t even eat it.
My husband just brought home food from this new place we order 2 spicy general tso chicken combination meals the chicken was not cook and it didn't even look like general tso it looked like orange chicken we also got a large order of broccoli and garlic sauce but it had a shit load of onions instead of broccoli super disappointing paid over 50 dollars also got a order of crab ragoon switch were really hard the only things that were good was the egg rolls we will never order from this place ever again I really want a full refund incredibly disappointed.
Yummy Yummy Hibatchi
This is the locals go to spot. Food is always good hot and fresh. Been here many times. Nice lil spot to try out if you haven't. Place to sit and enjoy or just take it to go as 90% of us all do. Thanks yall and God bless.
Food was ok. Dumplings were good but fried rice was not very good.
Jin Jin
First time eating there :) the food was good.
That man was very rude as ever you didn’t have get a attitude all because I told you that not what I order
Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant
Pork chow mei fun: outstanding. Looked beautiful and tasted yummy!*Recommend* Hunan beef: good. Came with white rice. Crab rangoon: could be better. Triangles that were puffed open and were very lightly filled, my order was over cooked and tough. Hurt my mouth. Taste was fine.
Not going to lie , food was fantastic! but the service was bad! From the start I asked for steak AND shrimp hibachi ! I got shrimp only! I got charged an extra 50cent for yum yum sauce and my food wasn’t correct. Yes! I could’ve checked it. But the ticket says no Zucchini & Carrots & here I am picking through every bite! Imagine if I was allergic to it. Then i only got a handful of shrimps! 4 maybe 5 . It was MORE zucchini and vegetables than MEAT! Horrible!!!!!
Szechuan Chinese Restaurant
Food was pretty average for Chinese. The crab Rangoon were SUPER sweet, which I’m not a fan of. Food was mediocre but not bad. Fast and quick service!
Crab ragoon too sweet, beef brocoli had no flavor lomein had no flavor as well. Was served white rice instead on fried. I think they charge what they want the guy ended up charging me less after i was checking the prices because it seemed like a lot for 2 plates.
China Town Chinese Restaurant
Date night with the Mrs. and friends got us shopping for Chinese. China Town Chinese Restaurant was our point of destination and arriving there got the strong vibe that it was more of a take and go, then sit down. Dingy interior with a row of forlorn padded booths that were slowly being taken over by boxes of restaurant supplies. A non-operating soda machine and an order counter. Don’t expect any counter to table service if you decide to stay after you order as you are on your own. Friend suggested takeout and we readily agreed. Our Combination Dinner was General Tso’s Chicken with fried pork rice and egg roll. We order an extra egg roll and my wife and I shared. Serving amount easily fed the two of us and overall taste was good with a bit of heat. Texture of breaded chicken was a bit tough, chewier. Standard fried rice and egg rolls were crispy savory rolls with shredded cabbage inside and deep fried. Food was doable but probably not worth a retry.
Looks good but Shrimp Fried rice Tasted bland. I added 4 packs of soy sauce and 2 packs of duck sauce. The pepper steak had a weird smell. I couldn't finish it.
