Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant
They only offer takeout, but that doesn't take away from the food. Best Chinese we've had so far in Union County.
I think there amazing we have never had a problem and calling in is way better then going in to order personally. I will always go back here we get the same thing every time we're happy ❤️🤙
Hong Kong #1
Very disappointing experience. The lady at the counter was unfriendly right from the start. We ordered the bourbon chicken and fried chicken wings. The wings were a letdown—only four pieces in the order. The bourbon chicken was even worse; it was drowning in a thick, syrupy gravy that tasted more like maple syrup than anything else. It looked more like chicken soup. To make matters worse, when I asked for pork chopsticks and paper plates, she only gave me one at a time, even though it was clear there were multiple people sharing the food. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional, treating us like we were a burden. Definitely not worth it. We won’t be coming back.
Just called this location, had a couple of questions before I order just to make sure I could substitute something because I’m allergic to it. Woman on the phone said you talk too much. What do you want order now? I told her that’s fine. I will be taking Services somewhere else. Very freaking rude people, do not spend your money here
Osaka Japanese and Chinese
It's your typical casual, nothing-fancy, local neighborhood place. I've dined in a few times and gotten takeout here many times over the years. On the plus side the menu is extensive; there's Chinese and Japanese, and something like 60+ variety of sushi rolls you can order. With that much variety you're bound to find something you like. Any time I've gotten takeout it's ready on time and easy in and out. With that said, its not bad but it's also not anything to write home about. I think the Chinese side of the menu is the stronger half of it; sushi is average. Overall it's not bad but there are other places in the area that are at least as good.
Had a simple sushi lunch at this Chinese restaurant. Staff were friendly and there was no wait on a weekday. Reasonable prices
House of Taipei
The food here just completely delighted us! The Thai food options especially were very good and authentic. David was our wonderful server; he was professional, friendly, and kind. Get the drunken noodles, they’re spicy, savory, and well rounded in flavor.
I have eaten at this restaurant for years! All the back to the days it was in the University Area. Most of the time I frequent the Providence Road location which ALWAYS has excellent service and food. This Huntersville location has great food but the female manager has a HORRIBLE attitude. This attitude seems to be toward certain people because I noticed a more pleasant interaction with others. If this restaurant could ever replace her, the experience will be soo much better. I tip very well according to service. She gave me HORRIBLE service and her tip reflected just that! $0.00.
NY Restaurant
I’m originally from NYC so I know a good Chinese restaurant and this is the best so far since I’ve moved here. They don’t call it NY for nothing. The only thing I think they should do different is have the sauces to pour on the food like hot sauce and ketchup instead of using the packets.
Really enjoyed the food here! It was quick and fresh. The flavors were really great. I got the tofu with vegetables and the tofu was cooked perfectly! The Crab Rangoons were so crispy and yummy. The portion size is really good. Both me and my husband had enough to take home. The atmosphere isn’t like a fancy sit down restaurant or anything, it’s more like a whole in the wall but it’s a good find. They did bring the food to us but other than that they weren’t like waiting on us. They mostly have to-go orders.
BaoBao: Dim Sum & Chinese Cuisine
Love the atmosphere, 90s music, and the hot tea. The dumplings were good and the beef stir fry was delicious. The other noodle dish was bland. Crawfish dish was over price for the portion we got. It’s decent if you want some dimsun
This was cool spot just randomly sitting in a pretty nice busy area. I was not expecting to find a dim sum spot out of all restaurants when I visited Discovery Place out here. Overall, everything on their dim sum was pretty good. I left with a decent experience and will probably be back when I’m in the area. BUT - and this is just a heads up to the owners - I was very disappointed in the soup dumplings. They have a very cool chalk mural explaining the whole process of the soup dumplings and explained how you eat it by first drinking the soup first… only, every piece that was brought out to me was empty. Never even got to try the whole experience. I LOVE soup dumplings so again, disappointed was an understatement. Regardless, I won’t even diminish a star from my review because the flavors from all the dishes were pretty authentic, and for the Charlotte greater area, that is rare! I’m confident the server would have switched it out but again, I didn’t bother. On that note, service was great and the restaurant is beautiful!
Jin Jin
First time there tonight to pick up takeout. I believe a previous review said their chicken fried rice had not much chicken. I have experienced the same with the chicken lo mein. Very few pieces of chicken in it. Would suggest they consider adding more since people notice, but even still I think the price is fair. Good flavor also, not super greasy or anything. Another complaint I have is how it costs $1.00 just to order online. It’s listed as a service fee. In this day and age with how many online ordering options we have, customers don’t really like paying service fees for it. I do understand this is a small business though and I’m tolerant of that. Just wish they had built it into the price of the food or something as it’s rough to see. Kind of like how people would rather spend $10 more on merchandise than pay $5 shipping fees. Just my two cents. Would return.
Tried this place for takeout. Service was quick, order was correct and the food was good. Take-out is in reusable plastic containers which is nice and recyclable. Plenty of food in each order for leftovers. Variety of meal combos offered, too.
Kosei Teki Sushi (Asian Takeout)
I've always been a fan of Kung Poa! The new owners are extremely nice. I am excited to keep ordering here and continue to watch (and taste) how their menu will evolve. I am also told there will be some sushi additions in the future, and what is not to love about that? Excited to see what is on the horizon. Keep up the great work Van and team!
I loved the old owners and their food and was surprised they retired. With that being said, I gave them a shot yesterday (Saturday), the Sesame chicken and beef broccoli taste exactly the same as the previous owners! I always stop to order food from here EVERY time I'm in the area and I will drive 30 mins (one-way) for the food! Im big on texture and flavor with my food, and those reasons are why I'm willing to make the long drive! I look forward to trying some other items on the menu.
Super Wok I
Been coming here for 6 years this is by far the best Chinese food in town good customer service great food my favorite is hot wings shrimp fried rice and the egg rolls are legendary got to get one every time you go in me I like the shrimp egg roll. I know there are a lot of people that say there Chinese food place is good but listen I had them all been living in Charlotte 33 years this place is legendary
I’ve never left a food review before, but I’m sorry to say this but this is the NASTIEST Chinese food, I’ve ever had! And I think the food was spoiled I couldn’t even eat it, based on the smell alone! It was absolutely disgusting! I’m not trying to be mean, but ordering this food made me angry!
Parrilla express
Great food, great service, went back 3 times! When you eat you really feel they care about food!
Bran new restaurant, great service and food. I recommend, Is new and under new management and they are friendly. This place change from a Mexican restaurant to a Chinese restaurant.
祖家小厨 Lam's kitchen
Lam’s Kitchen is a hidden gem in Matthews! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their General Tso’s chicken is crispy and delicious, and the lo mein is some of the best I’ve had. The staff is friendly, quick, and always gets the order right, whether dining in or taking out. Great portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality Chinese food in the area!
Best authentic asian cuisine in NC. Very difficult to beat it and definitely worth visiting. It’s almost like a legend you know this is it before stepping in it the smell just spreading on the street. I had were out of blind choices however all experiences came out amazing. The chef and recipes are irreplaceable. Finished every bit with appreciate❤️🔥
China Buffet
Godzilla! From Florence South Carolina to Charlotte NC the China Buffet is fantastic... So many great items to choose from with a great taste. Even the octopus was good for a first time trying. Just a short walk through a quiet neighborhood.
Been there twice so far, within weeks from the first time. Their Halibut fish was the best I liked among sea food. They know how to process, maintain, and cook sea foods. Sushi has a great variety and taste great. Buffet is not that expensive given the variety and quality of foods. I will come back again for all I can eat. I can certainly give 5 stars and recommened Sushi and east Asian food eaters to go try it out.
