China Express
I use to love going the vibe was great. There is a older (I believe the owner) that was welcoming and friendly. Now there is a younger women working there who always has attitude she never smiles. She speaks disrespectful to customers even when they are nice ones (like me). I order online and always tell the to take their time (I have a family of 6). I wait in the car so they don’t feel rushed and this young lady is rude about that. I have been a customer for 8 years and the last few months her attitude has gotten worse. I barely eat there now because I don’t want to deal with her attitude.
Its ok portions are just little for the price. I'm picky Chinese food eater better than yamatos I guess. more meat than the place on Grover (red wok??) but if they had bigger portions 5 stars its just rice.
China Restaurant
The food was very tasty. I had wings and shrimp egg rolls. The wings were cooked too fast so a few of the pieces were raw at the bone which can make folks sick. Otherwise, the food was great and I’ll be back to try other dishes. Service was excellent and the ambiance friendly. If in the area, give it a try.
Been going for about as long as they’ve been open. Food is good, not great. Good prices. However, for the first time in March 2025, I ordered scallops. They sold me fake scallops! They stunk of some kind of chemicals and had texture like shark. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!
Lucky Cafe
Best Chinese food I've had in the continental US, this spot is a family favorite. Great steamed dumplings, hot & sour soup, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, fried rice, gen. Tso's chicken, garlic shrimp or chicken, sweet & sour chicken... we've tried a lot of their dishes it's always hard to decide.
Hands down the best food. Food is very fresh and not full of sodium and MSG. This place is always consistent and delicious.
New China
I ordered the pork fried rice … which barely had pork in it and hot and sour soup with the same issue of lacking nutrition, and the chicken in Garlic sauce which had good flavor and a decent amount of chicken but unfortunately a large piece of hard plastic. I may try again but I am definitely skeptical as this was my first visit to this restaurant.
Placed a take out order and it was ready in less than ten minutes. I requested utensils because I was staying at a hotel and they made sure that was in my bag along with extra napkins. The shrimp lo mein was delicious and very flavorful with nice size shrimp. The plastic container was packed full and it was perfect for heating up leftovers in hotel microwave (rather than a styrofoam container) I wish the egg drop soup had more egg in it but that didn’t stop me from eating all of it. They are located right down the street from the Hampton Inn and I would definitely order take out from here again for convenience, quantity of food and flavor.
Golden China Restaurant
The food here is absolutely amazing the flavor portion size and price are perfect the downside i have with this place is that it is cash only and they do not accept cards but there's an atm right outside their place besides that they are perfect
Been going here for years n the last year the food has been on decline. Food was great like I said . Seems like just has gotten so bad I'm gonna have to not go here anymore. Hope Jimmy will see this and food will get back to what use to be.
Canton Restaurant
Ms. Kuang (front desk, server, owner) is such a kind and hardworking lady. Always ready with a smile and story. The food rocks. They are willing to make accommodations and the service is fast! Mr. Kuang really knows how to make good food in an hurry. We always get vegetarian options and they are always fantastic. Go here. Support local business. Enjoy all the things they have to offer.
I never thought I’d find a Chinese restaurant this great anywhere south of the mason dixon line. Food is fantastic and the atmosphere is also. Service is fast and friendly. The flaming volcano drink is delicious and fun. Crispy beef and orange chicken are delicious. Highly recommend
Great Wall
The white rice they gave me is all hard, probably under cooked and taste very stale and old probably rice from many days ago.
It's a Chinese food joint. They have the same exact menu is every other small Chinese food joint. But when you're in the mood for Chinese food what do you do? You get takeout from your local Chinese food joint. 😁 They removed their tables during covid so they only offer takeout.
Long River Restaurant
Been going to this place for over 20+ years. It has that real authentic Chinese vibe and they never disappoint. I order so much take out, they know me by name 😆🤷🏽♀️. But they treat you good & the service is always great. And they serve alcohol as well (full bar).
Food was really good, menu lacks descriptions of special items like O'Neil chicken, we asked about it and tried it and liked it. Very short list of appetizers. Service was good. Like the separated booths and love that there was no loud music, we could actually have a conversation and hear each other ! Overall really good.
Great Wall
Best food in Danville VA the taste, the flavor, and the i dont .get no better then that Chinese or.japanesecan cook so good
Food is great. Fresh majority of the time. Owners are quiet, but polite.
First taste Chinese restaurant
Im not sure what others were expecting but I'm glad First Taste restaurant is still taking the virus seriously. It's still here and affecting people. The food is always great and so is the service.
Absolutely fantastic for the tastebuds ive been searching for a good Chinese place and finally found this place it was soo soo good i do wish the dumplings had a thicker layer of dough but they were still delicious. Very kind people we didnt like the tea and they swapped our drinks . Go dine in alot of people ordered out it would of been nice to see more people dining inside
Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant
This was probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. The meat dish had no vegetables as shown in their picture display. The chicken was just chicken nuggets pretty much. The fried rice was just white rice covered in soy sauce. The packets of plum sauce were old, they tasted like play dough. Never experienced a place that was handing out expired discolored packets of condiments. Disappointing.
Food was fresh and hot, no hard pieces of chicken like you sometimes get at other restaurants by the same name. Nice flavor and variety of rice options. I only 4 starred this because of how unkept the restaurant was and very unpleasant looking inside.
Tai Chang Chinese Restaurant
If I could give this restaurant is zero it’s absolutely horrible. The food that they gave me were old. I called to get an exchange not even a refund. They wouldn’t even change out the food. This place is not good for business. It’s extremely rude. They’re disrespectful. I would recommend to eat anywhere else except this place. It is absolutely horrible. They sell old food
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is (since) summer (2024) the broccoli has been very tough! Everything else is great! The young man that works the register (& cooks) is extremely polite and goes the distance to make everything right. The young lady is nice. She's NEVER been rude but sometimes I feel like she doesn't want to be there and that kind of makes me feel "out of place". I would eat here more but sometimes I don't have cash and they only take cash money.
