China Wok
Worst food ever! They gave me SUPER dried out chicken, dry rubbery rice and watered down lemonade! Horrible HORRIBLE, do not recommend. crab raggoon barely had any crab in it, it was pretty much dried bread with nothing in it!! Horrible, so mad that I spent $83 for me and my family smh.
I’ve eaten at China Wok for several years, and the food has always been great. I love the Chicken Egg Foo Young and Pineapple Chicken. Personable staff with excellent customer service.
Chef Wan Chinese Restaurant
Chef Wan is a weekly staple in my life. We order every single Sunday and are always blown away by the speed and deliciousness. I have tried most of the menu and it is all fantastic. Anyone that says this food isn't great has horrible taste. Can't wait to shove some general tso and crab Rangoon in my mouth tonight.
I ordered Delivery via Uber Eats. I ordered General Tso's chicken, and it SUCKED MAJORLY. Seemed more like Sweet and Sour Chicken. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken on a Stick, but it was tasteless, whatever it was; it did not taste like chicken or even look like chicken. I also ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and it was so-so, not like ANY Hot and Sour Soup I have ever had. I will NEVER order food from Chef Wan again. Such a disappointment!! How can they ruin Chinese food like this? Please do not waste your money or time here. I do not believe that there is a tasty Chinese food restaurant in Savannah. I have tried a lot of them and ALL were a big disappointment.
E-TANG
A great little hidden gem. In a corner of a strip mall with little signage, so you really need to look for it. We found it based on a locals recommendation. Four people, one appetizer, three entrees, and we were stuffed! Flavors were strong. Presentation was nicely done. Service was prompt. Prices very reasonable. Very large and comprehensive menu. What's not to like?
My husband and I went here for Sunday lunch. It is a charming place with some of the best Chinese food around. It is more authentic flavor than the normal Chinese place. We shared the special mixed steamed dumplings so yummy. Then ordered General Tso' chicken and chicken with mixed vegetables. Both had amazing flavor. I can not wait to go back with my girls and try the soup dumplings.
Etang Noodle & Hot Pot
If you’re looking for a spot that serves up bold flavors, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Etang Noodle and Hotpot is a must-visit. My daughter and I stopped in for a meal, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. I ordered the hotpot, which came loaded with a variety of fresh toppings. The broth was rich and comforting—just a tad on the salty side—but still incredibly flavorful. When I asked for extra cilantro and green onions, the staff quickly brought them over with no hesitation, which I really appreciated. My daughter opted for a curry dish, and judging by how much she enjoyed it, I’d say it was a winner. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portion was just right. We also couldn’t resist ordering both steamed and fried dumplings, and they did not disappoint! The steamed dumplings were soft and flavorful, while the fried ones had the perfect crisp bite. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. Our server was polite, patient, and happy to answer any questions we had. Everything came out quickly, and we never felt rushed. Overall, Etang Noodle and Hotpot delivered a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're craving hotpot, dumplings, or a comforting bowl of curry, this spot is worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
5*! Pretty authentic! Newly added restaurant to the Savannah area! While all the staff we encountered were fairly young, but they were all very friendly and professional! Meals served pace was great, overall things came quickly. Ample of seating area and has a little 2nd floor. Pretty authentic Asian food. All food seemed to be reasonably priced. All in all, we would highly recommend Etang Noodle & Hot Pot and will for sure revisit!
Happy Wok
I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Savannah 15 years ago. There are very very few Chinese restaurants in the area that I consider good. We found Happy Wok about a 6 months ago when one of our favorites no longer made great food. We love this place! The food is always excellent, the staff is always nice. It’s great to have awesome Chinese so close to home! The Bone in Spare Ribs are killer, I just wish their boneless had the same flavor. The vegetable fried rice is my absolute favorite!
I am giving 5 stars across the board because this was the only place open on Wednesday night after the snow storm on GA-21 off icy I95 exit. There are atleast 7 hotels that were packed and everything (including Wendy's , McDonald's, BK, Taco Bell, Zaxby's , Bojangles, Waffle House, Agave , and any other place to eat was completely shut down) THANK YOU HAPPY WOK !!! I got sesame chicken , fried rice, boneless spare ribs, and all was delicious!! Highly recommend! Being from NY I couldn't believe how much was shutdown so happy to see their sign say New York Style Take Out Restaurant.
China Delight
WORTH TRYING AT LEAST ONCE!!!! I came alone to dine in for their buffet. I felt very comfortable and respected as a Hispanic. Good place for smaller groups. The Amazing : Shaved Steak/Chicken Entrees, Spicy Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Shrimp, Plain LoMein, Pork Dumplings, Fried Crab Appetizer, Beefy Mushrooms, Broccoli, String Beans, Crab Rangoons, and Ice Cream. The Alright : Sushi, Wings, Cheese Crab Casserole, Out of the Ordinary Peanut Dish, Orange Shrimp, Angel Hair The Below Average : Rice, Plain Noodles, Creamy Noodles, Teriyaki Chicken. Every buffet will have their flaws. I recommend at least trying this place. 8/10 Food, 10/10 Service, 7.5/10 Price. Price: $17.50…(I’m not sure if tip is included, though I tipped on top of this) It seems like the owners/employees are locals and on the older side. I appreciate this buffet, and I hope to try it out again sometime!!
The food is dry and smell burnt. It smell like its been sitting on their bar all day. They charged me for a chicken wing but they cut them in half. Never again will I spend my money with them.
Hong Kong Buffet
Chinese buffets are my guilty pleasure. I detoured off the interstate and stopped at Hong Kong for dinner, arriving at around 7pm. Still quite busy and that was good because the steam tables were loaded up with plenty of options and variety. I was able to put together a couple of good plates that were mostly protein and avoided the battered and the heavy sauces. The sushi display is a nice variety that was tasty and fresh. I did not try the hibachi - maybe I'll do that next time. Prices are clearly marked and I've posted a picture of the board. The restaurant was reasonably clean. This was good value and I'd do this again.
The Lo main noodles were a bit too overcooked. There isn’t a very big selection of food items. The sushi was Egh. I’ve had better sushi at other buffets. The service was ok I guess. On two occasions my waitress came by. Once for a refill, and to take my card for payment, but didn’t take my plates. Pre bussing was almost non existent. It’s cheap which is cool.
Chow's Restaurant
This place is horrible! The food is bad, expensive and the portions are too small. Also, the wait time is excessive and the employees are not friendly.
It was a great place to get good food now it's run down by the neighborhood. An the owner are old now and can't keep up just my two cents. Food is ok but not like how it was especially the price
Asian Garden
They use spaghetti noodles for their lo mein, and we got rice and kind of soupy vinegary cabbage instead of chicken chow mein (which is also supposed to be a noodle dish?) They also don't take card, which is fine, but it would be nice to know before you get there. Real bland tbh
If my phone hadn't died, I would have taken pictures of our food. I got the beef and broccoli, hubby got shrimp fried rice and extra shrimp. Both were so good, we couldn't eat it all. The people who were working, were very friendly and helpful with our order. If you are looking for a very nice, clean Chinese restaurant, then come here to the Asian Garden restaurant on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. They have great food here.
Joe's Cuisine
Not the best Chinese food I've had but it's the best the area can offer. We usually order for dinner. Their boneless spare ribs and staple entrees are always a good choice. The wontons and egg rolls never seem to be freshly fried. They moved their order booth inside, but still unsure if dining inside is an option.
Appears aside. The food was impeccable. Not a place you want to dine in, but take out galore. Go ahead and order now. It’s worth the 30 sec of human interaction before clicking the button for Grubhub. There’s a reason they are not on there. Locals know it’s worth the drive and the quick conversation to place an order. Thank you for the amazing food Joe’s Cuisine!
China Chef
Food is always hot and really good. People there are nice. Almost 9$ for lunch special.
for the price it's more than enough always fresh n taste great
Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant
Over priced for the amount you get and the quality is not good at all
I live in Kingstree. I will drive the extra miles to get there. ❤️
