Chinawok Express
Order the shrimp soup with noodles only 8 shrimps and almost 2/3 of mash rooms picture and description NEVER said mashrooms. Agree with other reviews they are rude and rush you to order and repeat your order many times. Wish they wear more friendly they make you feel not welcome. The food has good flavor but their service is bad.
Don't know why the reviews are so skewed but I always order the chicken fried rice and it's good. Big portion for like 10 ish dollars and you can pay for extra shrimp but the ratio isn't usually bad.
Chinafood Express
Been coming here for a long time love the taste of the spicy chicken everything was fresh and tasty š portions were also very nice service was quick and friendly definitely one of my favorites š„š„
A rated restaurant. Plenty of parking. I ordered chow meināāāā orange chickenāāā and beef broccoliāāā came out to $8 and some change. And the portion is enough to feed 2 man. āāāāā got to give you the stars for....š¤ How to put it.... ''hooking it up''šŖ No š„ š«
Chang Hai Restaurant
One of the best Chinese restaurants Iāve ordered from! The steamed white rice was perfectly cookedāchewy and fluffy. The General Tsoās chicken was delicious, and since they didnāt have Orange Chicken, they went the extra mile to make us a special side. The scallion pancake had a wonderfully crisp texture, reminiscent of a Haitian pĆ¢tĆ© Kode without the filling. The vegetable lo mein was fantasticāeven as someone who doesnāt like mushrooms, I found myself enjoying them. The egg rolls, however, were a bit dry and the filling wasnāt my favorite. One downside is that they donāt accept American Express, only Visa and MasterCard, so keep that in mind. Overall, a solid spot, and Iād definitely eat there again! Atmosphere is dry, old style could use a refresher.
I used to go here 5 days a week 20 years ago when I worked nearby. Today I happened to be in the area so I stopped in to get my old usual for lunch spicy green beans and an egg roll. Used to pay about $6 for the lunch but now was charged $20.54. Wow! Inflation! When I walked up to the counter I said I used to come here 20 years ago and I didn't need to look at the menu. I'll have the spicy green beans and an egg roll. The order taker asked me something I think about sizes and I just for me, one. While I was waiting I looked at the menu taped to the front window. It showed the lunch as $12.75 or $12.95. When the order was ready I asked about the price difference I was told I had to say the work "combo" or something like that. I mean it was 12:33 PM. Lunchtime. I mean, I am older but I don't eat dinner that early. So she tells me next time I have to say the magic word. I told her there would not be a next time. At the very least she should have asked me if I wanted the "combo" or whatever it is. I feel very ripped off having given her $8 more than what I should have paid for lunch. I will never go back. Remember to use the magic word if you go during lunchtime or you'll be charged an extra $8 for your lunch.
Beijing Chinese Restaurant
A really lovely place with decently affordable lunch specials. Fast and excellent service. Lunch special came with choice of crab rangoons or spring rolls as well as fried or steamed rice and hot and sour soup.
If there were half stars, Iād probably give a 3.5, but Iām rounding up to 4 because I would go back for sure. I started with a mai tai which was just ok. They donāt have a lot of tiki cocktails on the menu but maybe they can make the basics. Iāll try something else next time. For an appetizer we got crab Rangoon. It was minimally stuffed and not very good. It should be avoided. Dinner was much better. The half peking duck was good. The meat was excellent and the veggies were fresh, though the pancakes were more like a tortilla than a traditional peking pancake. The spicy sautĆ©ed cabbage was amazing. I highly recommend the cabbage, particularly with the duck. The service was efficient even though the dining room was pretty crowded. The atmosphere is nice, above average for a traditional Chinese restaurant. Bottom line: Iām looking for a Chinese restaurant near by to be my go to. Iām not sure this is it, but I would go back again.
Fortune Corner
This is not my first time ordering at this place at all now today while I was eating my food with no problem. While chewing my food I found a stapler on my food thank God I didnāt swoll it. Now I call the restaurant to refund my money that I payed they told me to bring the food and theyāll give me my refund back and not making me a New food that ridiculousš”š¤¬
I have ordered here before but my most recent order is my last!! I found moldy onion in my lo mein after eating a good portion of it and NOOOO it is not seasoning or anything else as i tried to scrape it off and i wouldnāt and it was on all the pieces. I didnāt even know what mold looked like on an onion I just found it and was curious then looked up on google what it looked like and itās the same thing !! i was so disgusted and nervous about getting food poisoning and they had the audacity to only refund 10$ instead of the whole order, which to me doesnāt make sense due to if I got sick there wouldāve been a bigger issue. There was so many more pieces but I was too disgusted to keep looking.
Yutaka Buffet
So this is a Chinese/sushi buffet. I tried a bit of almost everything offered andā¦. It was across the board pretty poor. Nothing disgusting or vomit inducing but the fare is sub-Panda Express. The sushi was moderately better than the Chinese options, but Iāve had better grocery store sushi. The only two things I ate that I genuinely enjoyed were the baked mussels and a slice of cantaloupe. Iām not sure what it says about a buffet when a slice of raw fruit is the best thing on offer. Also: service was perfunctory which is to be expected at a buffet. Since I didnāt use their services I didnāt think a tip was necessary, but they made a big stink and pressured me to give them one, which just felt like snot filled cherry on the turd sundae that was this dining experience. Again, I give it two stars instead of one because the food was not outright terrible (just pretty bad), but there are much better buffet options throughout the Boston area. I would not recommend this place at all.
The place is pretty small with limited food choices. We are used to huge variety of dishes in buffets but this one wasn't it. Our server didn't explain much and didn't inform that we had to check out before certain time to get lunch price so we got charged as if it was a dinner. We also had a senior in our party but nobody informed about available discounts. Food quality was good just not much to choose from. I would say it's just your average buffet with 1 hour time limit :(
Billy C
Itās a great spot for Chinese food and some sushi as well. Super local spot, itās a real IYKYK kind of place. Great cuisine, awesome environment with great drinks as well. They have 3 different seating areas, bar area, more quiet side with the sushi chefs or the main dining area.
Located in a weird spot next to a bridge and it's really hard to find parking if the spots in front of the restaurant are full. We did not order sushi. The Chinese food was mediocre and not that authentic in taste. The Mapo Tofu éŗ»å©č±č was the best one they made, but the taste wasn't really that strong. The dishes lacked in flavour but prices were good for portion size.
Happy Garden
The spare ribs from here are the best spear ribs I can ever find at a Chinese spot. They are very rarely extremely fatty. The shrimp and broccoli is also to die for. I'm not a big fan of their crab Rangoon though because they put some kind of vegetable in them. The chicken wings are fantastic. Very meaty and very hot. Every time I order here I can tell everything is fresh. The house lo-mein is great too.
My rice was horrible! It had a weird taste. The filling in the Crab Rangoon was watery. I spent $50 on food and I was sent such a small duck sauce that barely covered my chicken fingers(3). How often do you change the oil? Nevermindā¦.
Taipei Gourmet
Iām not from Taiwan or the region, so Iāll leave the remarks about authenticity to others. I did stumble on a Taiwanese restaurant during a trip to China, and had an eggplant dish that Iām still thinking about five years later. So I thought Iād give this place a try. I was just about the only non-Asian dinerāon a Saturday, the place was full of families. They were kind to find a spot for a solo diner.I ordered the Taipei beef noodle soup, which is spicy but not in a sharp jalapeƱo way, more of a dark warm heat. I also had the eggplant in garlic sauce, which resembled that dish I had years ago, though it was sweet (actually as if sugar was added) and what I had before was a bit dryer, and had just a bit more of a roasted flavor. This was a lot of food, but it all was so good that I almost didnāt have any leftovers. Iāll definitely be back.
It is very Authentic Chinese food , is tasty so yummy and beautiful,I will coming back next time , thank you so much!
China Sky
Excellent food, service and atmosphere -- plus tablecloths. Went again recently in May 2018 and hadn't been there in almost a year. Owner remembered us like she'd just seen us last week. Food was excellent. No free drink refills is a bummer, but fresh tablecloths makes up for it. I don't eat out much, but this is my favorite restaurant.
Better than good food, very nice people. On street parking. A Winchester stalwart. Open for lunch on Mondays, which many places in Winchester are not.
Szechuan's Dumpling
The most authentic Hangzhou food in MA, The star of the show is the [Dried Bamboo and Duck Soup]āmake sure to reserve it a day in advance because they use the freshest duck. The Chestnut Chicken has a deliciously sweet flavor, and the best dessert is definitely the Rice Ball Soup. You have to try them!!! Donāt miss out on the handmade pork Baozi either. The service is excellent, and the dishes are full of flavor. The only downside is that it's a bit far from downtown Boston, so I always need to catch a ride with a friend to get here.
This time, I had the Stir-Fried Rice Cakes, Sweet Rice Balls, and Duck Stew with Dried Bamboo Shoots. The Stir-Fried Rice Cakes were perfectly chewy, with a deliciously savory sauce that kept me coming back for more. The Sweet Rice Balls were sweet and comforting, with a rich, aromatic flavor that made them a perfect dessert. But the star of the meal was definitely the Duck Stew with Dried Bamboo Shootsātender, flavorful, and the bamboo shoots added a delightful crunch. If you're looking for authentic Hangzhou cuisine, this place is a must-try!
Home Taste
Omg!!! This place is amazing. My wife and I stopped here on a whim after picking up her car from getting some work done and saw the reviews say how amazing the hand pulled noodles are. She got the cumin lamb ones and I got the braised beef with bean sprouts and both are phenomenal!! Hers came with free popcorn chicken from an Uber deal and I bought us a side order of scallion pancake. Everything is extremely reasonably priced and homemade and delicious!!! No wonder it gets such good reviews. The staff were so friendly and food came out very quickly. I cannot state just how amazing this place is and have absolutely zero complaints. I will definitely be checking out the Watertown location now as it's much closer to home for us. Thank you!!!ā”ā”
I found chunks of sauce in the čŗč³ē², which makes me think it wasnāt fully cooked. The vegetables were fresh, but the peanuts werenāt properly roastedāthey should really use deep-fried soybeans instead. The meat was great, but the rice noodles tasted like they came from an instant noodle pack. Overall, it was somewhat enjoyable. As for the other dishes, the flavors were just okay. Some parts tasted like leftovers, which didnāt leave a good impression. I wasnāt impressed.
