Mi's Eatery
If you like onions get Mongolian beef should be called Mongolian onions only a handful pieces of beef and the rest is onions. Pieces of beef do taste really good though
I'm very picky about my food, and this has to be the best Chinese food I've had in along time. I ordered the cream cheese puffs, potstickers, chicken fried rice and sesame seed chicken to try different things. It was still hot when I received it and the food was perfect, I will be ordering from them again!
Enjoy China
First time going. We had talked about this place many times but never had the chance to go until lately. The service was great, and the waitress was very attentive. Very sweet lady. The place was very empty and thought it was closed at first. The appetizers came out quick, but the main meal took a very long time. The fried rice was mushy, and the Tiger pork was fried so long it was like trying to bite through leather. We never had it before, so we didn't say anything since we weren't sure if that was the way it should be and didn't want to hurt their feelings. We will try it again in hopes this isn't the norm.
This is a mixed review as the service waa top notch, but the food was not good. We walked into an empty dining room waited a moment, then started to leave. As we walked back to our vehicle we we yelled at from the door that it was open. This should have been a red flag, but we came back in anyway. The server was very attentive and kind. We ordered fried rice, cream cheese puffs, fried dumplings and Tiger pork. Then we waited ...and waited...and waited. We were the only people in the place.. bit still we waited. The cream cheese puffs came and they were chewy and cold. We ate them because we were hungry. Then we waited..... and then came the dumplings. They were great! Meaty.. tasty. Done right. Redemption? Nope! Then came a small bowl of white rice, Then.... wait. Then, arrived the fried rice. It was gummy and under seasoned. The Tiger pork arrived soon after. It was inedible. The slices of pork were so over fried it was basically pork jerky in a very tasty sauce. We wanted to eat it, bit physically it was inedible. It could not be chewed. We took the fried rice and the Tiger pork to go and threw it in the garbage when we got home. Horrible experience. Super kind and attentive staff, but their kitchen staff is garbage. Go elsewhere!
Sidewalk Kitchen
Found this gem of a restaurant that serves up authentic Chinese dishes in the heart of Stadium Village. Everything I've ordered, I've loved, so you really can't go wrong. Dishes are all around 20-ish dollars, so if you are a broke student, it might not be best for you. Service is always great! I highly recommend Sidewalk Kitchen.
I like this place, even though it’s not very spacious. During the one hour I was there, I noticed a lot of takeout orders. Parking isn’t very convenient—you’ll need to find street parking nearby, which is metered unless you park farther away. The menu is extensive! They offer noodles, hotpot, congee, fried rice, chow fun, milk tea, and more. The flavors aren’t very spicy, as the dishes are Cantonese-style rather than Sichuan-style. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The waiter was welcoming and friendly. I had a great experience overall. I feel like this is a wonderful spot to bring family or close friends for a tasty meal. However, it’s not ideal for a formal dining occasion.
Lao Sze Chuan
We first visited the restaurant for dinner last Sunday night. The dishes came out super fast and tasted great! We ordered three dishes, and the spice level and ingredients were all perfect. We were really happy with the service and satisfied with our meal. One dish that stood out to me was the deep-fried eggplant tossed in salted egg yolk (金沙茄子). I loved the taste—the exterior was slightly crunchy, while the inside was chewy, perfectly coated in flavorful salted egg yolk. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to order the same dish again for takeout five days later. Unfortunately, the second experience was completely different, and I was extremely disappointed. As you can see in my last two photos, the eggplant in the takeout container was slimy, overly oily, and barely had any salted egg yolk, which should have been the main flavor of the dish. It wasn’t deep-fried or crispy at all—just soggy and drenched in oil. I paid the same price for this dish ($18.95), but the second one was nowhere near worth it. In fact, it even gave me a stomachache! There was a huge difference in quality between the two experiences. Hopefully, if I decide to order it again, I’ll get a better-prepared version—if I dare to try!
The food is authentic and delicious, the quality of the fish is decent, they are fresh. This restaurant offers authentic and flavorful dishes, with the standout being the crispy fried chicken seasoned perfectly with spices and garnished with fresh scallions. The spicy fish hotpot is another highlight, with tender fish immersed in a rich, fiery broth. The clean and modern dining area creates a welcoming ambiance, perfect for small gatherings or casual meals. Service is efficient and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you’re looking for bold flavors or a cozy spot to enjoy Sichuan cuisine, this place is worth a visit. Highly recommended for spice lovers!
Lucky Dragon Restaurant
Service is super quick and friendly. Wifi available upon request. Food is just so bland, from dry chicken and mediocre rice to not enough of a good sauce for flavor and only ok egg rolls. Prices are physically updated and higher on their menus, so may want to compare with in-person and online for value. Overall, really a bummer since it's a nice and quiet spot with awesome employees.
THE SPICY CHICKEN WINGS ARE WORTH THE VISIT! I ordered to-go. I drove 5 minutes away and the food was still almost too hot to eat! It was amazing how fast they served me. Sesame chicken was crunchy which I prefer but it is hard to come by. It did lack some flavor though.
Shuang Cheng
I had a great lunch! I ordered the pineapple duck, and it was nice. The sweet and sour sauce was purely sweet, but a few drops of soy sauce made the flavor more complete. I don't know how the fried duck stayed crunchy under all the sauce, but it made for an excellent experience. The serving was generous, so I took home half of my meal. When I sat down, I was given a glass of water and a pot of oolong tea, which made the experience feel cozy and special. My server was friendly and fast. I also enjoyed getting a fortune cookie with my bill. It may be cheesy, but I enjoy fortune cookies and seeing if they fit the day's occasion. It's definitely worth trying another dish someday! The decoration was homely, with various pretty paintings on the wall.
Came here for lunch with the fam. Classic Chinese restaurant with simple good cooking. We ordered saute morning glory with garlic/ginger, sesame chicken, pork with veggies & garlic sauce and mafo tofu. The portions were huggeee, enough to feed 5-7 people. Had to call a friend to help us eat. The mafo tofu was slightly sweet for my taste. They gave plenty of ground pork; the most out of all the Chinese restaurants within a 20 miles radius. Taste is a preference thing and I would’ve like it more if they had put some sichuan pepper in this dish. I had to add their chili oil to make it my liking and reduce the sweetness. Sesame chicken: flavor was on point. All Chinese restaurants do this: some of the chicken pieces had no chicken in them. Just fried dough coated with sauce (can be deceiving to make it look like a lot of food on the plate). Morning Glory: I grew up on this dish, no complaint. Saute pork with veggies garlic sauce: best dish of the meal. We took left over home and it tasted even better 7 hours later.
Bamboo Express
A gem in the skyway! It's American Chinese food done very well for a reasonable price. I like that most of the dishes include stir-fried veggies mixed in, and they are big cuts of fresh vegetables and retain some crispness. No slimy frozen veg! The stir-fried vegetables are my favorite, and includes tofu. They load you up with nice big portions, too. And the egg rolls are the best in the skyway!
House made to order fried rice is super good! Too bad the hours are inconsistent. I called twice to confirm what time they closed and was informed they close at 3. They closed at 2:30 today and when I called again after standing in front of the door for a few minutes I was hung up on by one of the employees. I asked for his name, because he’s not the nice ladies in the front, and he began to yell at me. I have never experienced such horrible customer service from this location. I currently don’t live or work anywhere near the area, the commute I made to get that fried rice today and paid for parking simply to get to the location and they were closed had me LEVITATING. That is so crazy and un professional and sadly it’ll be quite some time before me and the gang return: UPDATE YOUR HOURS!!
Skyway Wok
Excellent sesame chicken and a great value! All of this for $12, I cheaper out and should have got the egg roll too, looked delicious! My favorite sesame chicken behind Yang’s in Woodbury.
Excellent Chinese and Vietnamese food at this place. Portions that are enough for two, and some of the best Seasame Chicken you’ve tasted in your life. Only open for breakfast and lunch.
New Dragon Cafe Inc
We got the harvest shrimp. It was ok. The egg rolls were ok. But the shrimp wontons were terrible. They literally had nothing in them. I kinda wondered if the filling leaked out wh.en they fried them? They were $10 and literally nothing in them.
Dragon Cafe has become my absolute favorite for takeout. My go to is the #18 Combo, Kung Pow Chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg rolls are to die for. If you haven’t tried their food, you’re missing out. The service is always great too.
China Pagoda Restaurant
Came in there today and we were satisfied! The lady that took our order was awesome and the food was even better. Next time we come out this way since we’re truckers we are definitely coming back. Food was so good we devoured our take out in less than 5 minutes! This place need 10 ⭐️’s
I'm honestly really disappointed this place has remained take out only since covid. The only reason I can think for them to do so is that they make more money this way. They also removed their lunch special, have raised their prices, and quality is decreasing. I got the chicken chow mein with fried rice and sweet and sour pork. The pork was hard to chew, though the bater and sauce were good. The chow mein though was really disappointing. The sauce was basically water and the chicken was tasteless. The fried rice was simply boring, unfortunately. I will say though, the staff is nice, and always has been. I just wish they'd figure out their prices and actually open the restaurant part back up. The food being kind of gross could be a fluke, I've eaten here before and it's usually not this bad, though it's also not usually something impressive either, but the take out only and the prices changing all the time are really off putting for me. I've uploaded pictures of the most recent menu's for everyone so people can see the accurate prices.
Hibachi Buffet
That's my favorite buffet for years. But recently, I'm going back, I don't know quiet. The waitress are pushing me away when I've been there like 20 minutes. They want you to leave and I feel like that's not okay. I don't know if anybody else noticed this, but that's what they're doing. I plan not to go back there
if your goal is just to eat well for a normal price, then this is the place for you. They cook deliciously, everything is edible and during the time I've been going there, no problems have happened to me. The service is prompt, it's very pleasant to deal with the waiters. Thanks to them for that. Yes, the furniture may be a little worn out, but it still performs its functions. *If this is important to you, please read the first sentence of the review*.
Big Bowl
I enjoy coming here for my birthdays. The food is good, and they have been consistent with their taste and flavor over the years. I enjoy the lettuce chicken wrap. The taste of the chicken is good. I can eat that all day. Even the seating arrangement looks so close, but you have absolute privacy. I get to eat my delicious cake all the time on the house!
Have enjoyed this restaurant for years and years. On a recent visit (January 2025), I ordered my usual panang chicken curry. It was much spicier than I remembered it, but I’m certain the fault was with my memory, as the more bites I took, the more I realized the perfection of the spice level. I tried adding a small amount of the house-made chili sauce, but it didn’t need it. It was perfect just the way it came out of the kitchen.
