China Star Buffet
What a fun little surprise! My guilty pleasure? A Chinese buffet. The outside looked small and shabby, but inside felt much bigger. The food was really good. It was busy so the food was turning over pretty quickly - we came at 1:30 on a Sunday. We got a seat right away even though it was busy. The staff was friendly and I would definitely go back.
Had an amazing dining experience at China Star Buffet! The variety of dishes is impressive, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend! Great value for the price, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. 💕
Happy Panda
The food was very tasty. I also got the jasmine tea boba, and it was perfect . The service was great. I got my food super quickly. I would definitely visit again whenever I'm in the area again.
Good food, decent prices. I highly recommend the Singapore noodles. Boba is also pretty decent!
Golden Dragon
Very affordable. They have a wide variety of hot, fresh, yummy food in small trays. It's not overwhelming and they have just enough of everything for a nice selection. My only critique would be that they could more desert options but they do have an ice cream machine so that's a win.
I visited Golden Dragon with family and friends. The dining area was spacious, providing plenty of room for comfort. The staff were attentive and friendly. We chose the buffet option on a Sunday afternoon, and despite the late hour, the food was still being replenished regularly. There was a decent variety of dishes available, and considering the number of options, the cost of the buffet was quite reasonable. Overall, we enjoyed the food and had a great experience at the restaurant.
China Panda
If you want your food cooked very fast but also such friendly people I would 100% go here. My boyfriend showed me this hidden gem that I didn’t even know was there. The food is such big portions and so tasty 🤤 best place ever
Got a few kinds of chicken and it seems to have a lot of filler. Doesn’t seem very high quality. Flavor was decent but the consistency ruined it for me. Rice was decent but seemed pretty soaked in soy sauce. 3 stars because service was fast and nice.
Joy Garden
Great first time experience. The food was fresh hot and tasty. The eggrolls came almost immediately and we waited less than 10 minutes for our main dish. Our server was friendly and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised that the Happy Family dish had half a lobster tail also. We’ll definitely be coming back! Four stars for the atmosphere because the lighting was too dim for my preference.
This may be the worst meal I've had in years. I was so disappointed in the tiny chewy grisly fatty wierd dark chicken meat that was so over breaded & soaked in sauce. I had the teriyaki chicken with white rice. The cream cheese puffs were good. They were sweeter than what I've had before. I liked them even though they were pretty greasy. I would share a picture of the meal but I see that's not an option.
China Buffet
12/11/24 11:30am. A large selection, but more expensive than what we are used to. Most selections could have been warmer and it was not warm in the building. Granted, we are freezy cats and it was a single digit windy, snowy day... Like they have egg drop soup. Was a rich flavor. Restroom plain, but mostly clean and the eating area, clean.
They stopped bringing out food at 7pm and they closed at 9 the desert was completely empty. Ran out of noodles, out of chicken of all kinds including general chicken, when I asked if they were bringing out more food the owner literally said no. Big yikes
Mr. Sesame Chicken
This place is just around the corner so we decided to try it out. I would consider this VERY Americanized but the food totally hit the spot! It satisfied our Asian food craving, and dare I say it tasted healthier than normal? We got Kung Pao Chicken, Pad Thai, and Szechuan Chicken. Huge portions! The three of us were able to make lunch out of the leftovers today. And, that's with us eating second, and third servings last night. You definitely get your money's worth. That's for sure!
I use to like this place and was happy to support a local business. However, my last 3 orders have been disappointing. Between burnt egg rolls, freezer burnt shrimp and now sesame chicken without a single sesame seed, no breading and a totally different colored sauce... haven't even tried any of it yet... let's hope it tastes good.
Amian Chinese Restaurant
I've picked up food from Amian a few times now, and it's always been phenomenal! I always get the orange chicken. It's probably my favorite Asian restaurant in the Twin Cities. They also provide a generous amount of rice. I've never eaten in, but the food has always been prepared fast and fresh whenever I stop in for a pick-up. Never any complaints!
I got the orange chicken lunch special and the hot and sour soup. Everything tasted good, only giving 4 stars because the chicken is a little soggy and I prefer it to be a little more crispy. I understand every restaurant cooks differently so it’s ok. It’s still worth it for lunch!
No.1 New China
Save your money and buy food that has flavor and is cooked in a more healthy way. We ordered lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken, and both dishes arrived with the same heavily breaded chicken, with very watery, almost tasteless sauce to pour over it on our own. It was disgusting. The sweet and sour sauce was less bad. We forced ourselves to eat some, just to appease hunger. We threw away the worthless sauces and the next night, cooked up the chicken with a new sauce that we made, which made it edible. This is honestly the very worst dinner we've ever had from a restaurant. I wanted it to be good, since it's so convenient for us, but we'll never go back.
The staff were very kind and patient as I looked at their menu for the first time! It didn't take me too long though as this is a very standard Americanized Chinese place! I got the wonton soup and the sesame chicken combo plate. The wonton soup was really good and came with three large wontons in the small. The egg roll was good! I could tell it was very freshly fried! I really enjoyed the pork fried rice but think I'll try something other than the sesame chicken next time, it was good but not the most complex tasting, but it certainly was good enough to make me want to come back. I ordered in store and the food took under 10 minutes to come out!
Chin Chin
I've never felt so welcome. Fast service, generous people, and Delicious food! Best meal I've had in the city yet.
Hands down my favorite Chinese food. It's always quick and fresh. The service is amazing! The employees and owners are some of the kindest humans. I hope this place stays in business for a long time. ♥️
King's City chinese and sushi
For my first visit to this HIDDEN GEM, I ordered potstickers, miso soup, and a shrimp tempura roll. The miso soup was delicious! I think it also had soy or fish sauce, making a complex flavor. The potstickers were the right balance of wrapper and filling. I also really enjoyed the roll. It had a great flavor and was a perfect size. My server was delightful-answering all my questions and providing great recommendations. I can't wait to get back.
I ordered the combo pho, eggrolls and a papaya salad. The service was very good, my water was refilled frequently without me asking. So the food, the pho combo comes with shrimp, beef, pork belly, meatballs; I asked to have the shrimp removed but forgot about the pork. Those 2 items changes the broth flavor in my opinion. The broth is herby and isn’t as salty as other locations which I like. The noodles to me were slightly over boiled and I mean slightly. The eggrolls are more Chinese style eggrolls, very similar to those you buy at kwik trip but much better quality and crispy. The papaya salad was good, but in my opinion the shrimp paste and padak was overwhelming; you will definitely need to get some sticky rice or eat a ton of those lettuces provided. Over all it wasn’t bad their menu is vast and a lot of options from Thai, Chinese, Lao, Vietnamese, Japanese…I’d go back again to give the other entrees a try and maybe those will be a better hit for me. They have Sushi Laab and $30 for 12 oysters chuked. I didn’t try but supposedly their Chicken Wing Laab flavor is very popular.
Leo's Chow Mein
It was my first time here the food was fantastic old school Chinese with chow mein. Very sorry to hear that. It’s closing down at the end of the year. I do hope they find a new place. I would definitely go back.
This has always been one if my favorite spots since I was a kid. They haven't changed at all. Excellent American Chinese food. Fried race is the best and their fried chicken wings are the best around. Dining room is not big, ok for a couple people. Take out is the way to go. For about $15 per person, you won't leave hungry
