Chen's Garden

The front lady is SO nice and so generous with the sauces. Very friendly service. Their general tso chicken is just ok, overly sweet for me and ive had better but for 9.25 i cant be out here expecting gourmet.

The presentation is most impressive compared to what I am use getting local in my neighborhood. It’s a small place with one table so I suggest take out. The food was fresh, lightly season as to not take away the natural flavor of the food. However, They need to work on the fried green plantains, but overall you find satisfaction.

老友记(粵菜) Bamboo Seafood Restaurant

General: Came with a group of people, total ~ $400. Mandatory 15% tip ~ $60, the fact that waiters/servers have to rely on tips suck but its common practice in US, next time please just put the tip percentages on the receipt otherwise nobody knows your minimum tip. Food: theres a dish I forgot the name of, i don’t see it on the google map “recommend dish to others” list either, but the combination dish with the small fried fish, pork, pickled radish, small red squid, with plant and flower decor in the middle was pretty good. The house special fried rice was also good. The fried lobster was savory and filled with taste. Food came with Appetizer of chicken feet and ended with Orange slices. The fish… was ok i guess, i don’t recommend the veggies but that might be just me. Food is mostly ok, not the best, not the worst. The canned drinks are like ~$3 which is kind-of expected in a restaurant. 4/5 Service: servers were pretty nice. Well, most of them. Did their job. What can i say? 4/5 Atmosphere: tbh the group was kinda awkward, the tv is kinda useless because i would have to snap my neck 180 degrees. Also the ambient wasn’t exactly appetite inducing, the buzz of the tv and refrigerators makes me wanna sleep and i can’t focus on conversations, there is no real vibe. As so, maybe some music would be nice? Anyways 3 stars is average, 3/5

Pretty good for a small restaurant. They had one large table for 18 people in the back room. The food was basic Cantonese style. Service was good for a busy father's Day.

Food was good. Decent prices. Vast majority of traditional Chinese cuisine. Not so bad!

This used to be my favorite comfort-food restaurant, and for the last couple of weeks they have been messy. It started as bad and now we are at worst. I feel like the food is overcooked, and I really don’t like to eat too crispy fries and/or chicken. Additionally, I think they are literally counting the fries because they used to fill the containers, but now, not so much. And today it was last straw for me and my family because I found a hair in my fries. I realized that they don’t use hair nets or anything like that. To top it off, I saw a lady that helps there brush her nose then going back to tending the food. Why? I don’t know if they changed management, but I don’t think I can go back there. I understand that accidents happen, but there has to be a standard for cleanliness when it comes to restaurants. Also, when I called I ordered the first three items and they couldn’t even let me finish ordering? Why? Anyways, I think I would like the old people back please. I tried to be as constructive and objective as possible in this review.

Great Dragon

Great authentic Chinese cuisine. You have to try this Lo Mein, it's delicious. Price is fair, service is fast.

Every time I call for a delivery, the older lady ( I’m assuming she’s the owner ) ALWAYS has some attitude, and when I say she’s got an attitude, I mean she doesn’t even want to listen to what you’re ordering. She will always continue to sigh so loudly into the phone, and is very uninterested in her customers orders. Very bad customer service when it comes to her. Welp, onto the next Chinese restaurant.

Hot Space Brooklyn

This spot has become my go-to for a late-night dinner. The lamb skewers are delicious, and the kumquat lemon tea is refreshing. While the service is decent, I’ve noticed the portions for the frog dish have gotten noticeably smaller, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s still a great place to wind down with good food and solid options.

I had a fantastic experience at Hot Space! (There’s a location in flushing too). The customer service was top-notch, and the fresh fish was amazing with plenty of customizable options. A big shout-out to Kevin, who I think is the manager—his hospitality really made the visit stand out. Overall, a great spot with excellent food and service. Highly recommend it!

CHF Chinese Restaurant

I stumbled across CHF at lunchtime. Great $7.95 lunch specials. The bean curd with mushrooms was fresh and delicious. Friendly service and restaurant is very clean.

Given the reviews of CHF, we were expecting to enjoy the meal, and the food was disappointing at best. Sesame chicken was crispy fried ...nothing. There was nearly no chicken in the dish, and the sauce tasted like ketchup, which isn't our favorite style. The chicken egg foo young was flavorless and dry, we couldn't find any chicken in it, and the sauce was congealed, oily, and not good. The ma po tofu was just a little spicy, oddly soupy, not a trace of Szechuan peppercorn, and I didn't find any pork in it. Definitely not ma po tofu by anyone's definition (but at least it had tofu in it). We took out a lot of food for a reasonable price, served by a pleasant person, and threw almost all of it away after eating just a bit.

Food has always been phenomenal. Just wish they use less oil

Please don’t call this place after 9:30pm they will pick up your and write down your order but they will never deliver it. Also i called to place another order for pickup the guy said come now .when I went to the place it was closed already. They shouldn’t be taking orders if they aren’t going to be open.

We had a fantastic lunch at this Cantonese restaurant! The staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The food, especially the roasted duck and honey roasted pork, was a hit with the whole family – flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. Even my kids couldn’t get enough of it! The prices were reasonable, adding to the overall great value. It’s a cozy spot with an inviting atmosphere and a menu that impresses. We'll definitely be back for more of their delicious offerings!

It’s been a while since we were here and a lot has changed. They closed down their huge basement dining area and the food could use a pick me up. Service is great thou. We had a good time since we pretty much the only customer booked for the whole dining room for a birthday. They are very accommodating and service is good enough. Food is good but I remember they used to be better. Sizzling beef should be sizzling but it barely any smoke. Rest of the food is up par but just not really good. The positive part is the fact the place is quieter and spacious than rest of the other places. We get to have a quiet and decent family dinner.

ALL YOU CAN EAT GOODNESS 🍢🍲🥩 Absolutely great place for dinner. The value you get for the skewers and hot pot is fantastic. The atmosphere is energetic on a Friday night. Endless options of food. Go with a group and you won’t be disappointed. Service was great 👍🏼 Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I made a reservation for a party of 3 on a Tuesday and was seated promptly. The ambiance and service is really good. our waitress was really attentive and helped us made little notes for less fatty meats when requested. She made a few trips to add broth in our pots and to scoop out the oils. I also like that there’s a few types of beef as opposed to just fatty beef. I would definitely come back!

What an amazing experience. From the moment we came in, we were well attended. Then we sat down, the server was extremely polite and attentive. The food is fresh, quality is great, variety is great and they don’t “miss” your orders and shortchange you. I would definitely come back in the future and I recommend anyone who’s looking for a good AYCE seafood hotpot to come here and give it a try.

China Wok

This restaurant promised an authentic Chinese culinary experience, but sadly, it fell far short of expectations. The General Tso's chicken was disappointingly bland, lacking the expected sweet and savory balance, and the sauce was gloppy and overly thick. The egg rolls were greasy and the filling tasted primarily of cabbage, with little evidence of any other ingredients. The fried rice, while advertised as "special," was anything but, resembling plain boiled rice with a few scattered peas and carrots. The service was also lacking; our server seemed disinterested and we had to flag them down multiple times for refills and the check. The atmosphere was noisy and the tables felt cramped. Overall, a disappointing and overpriced meal. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine or even a satisfying Chinese food experience.

I order from this place since like 2007. I have not bee there for a few years, and just ordered again today. The food now is not the same anymore. They no longer taste the same or even make an effort for it to be what it use to be. The quality of the food had gone down. Most likely change of owners.

I ordered a half of chicken with fried rice and the chicken was trash. It wasn’t a fresh piece of chicken at all. It was old chicken that they fried over. It was over fried and dry! The rice was fine but giving people old chicken is not okay.

Had lunch special combo (jumbo shrimp and chicken with veg)with noodle soup on the side with tax on credit card for $13.53. Great price for great food,if you ask me!
