I had such a great experience at Panda Express today! The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were so friendly and quick. The place was clean and had a welcoming vibe, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. Definitely one of my best visits—I’ll be back for sure!

Stop putting cheap filler in your steak entree!!! A lot of large, almost raw onions and a bunch of broccoli stems. The recipe was way better when you first started selling it. I ordered 2 entrees and picture is what I have to throw away (about 1/3 of food I recieved). Why do we have to pay extra for this?

We met friends and 6 of us shared family style meal. My favorites were fried rice with salted fish and chicken, Buddha's delight and combination chow mein. The other items were fine but I like more sauce to noodles especially chow fun. Service was nice and efficient. The pork belly took a while to cook, I think I like a thinner cut but that is my preference. It was flavorful and had nice texture.

We have dined here several times, so we already tried out many different dishes. This place has authentic HK cuisine. The restaurant is medium size. They only have limited indoor seatings, so sometimes the wait times could take rather long, especially during meal times as this restaurant tends to get very crowded. All tables were full and there still many people waiting. The staff are quick, but they’re heavily understaffed. There are times it gots too busy that one staff had to serve more tables than they could handle. The food was really good. We like all the dishes, but the one we prefer most is their rice in clay pot. Those were so tasty, and because of the heat of the clay pot, there’s always crunchy rice at the bottom. That tasted incredible. The bonus is they usually have free desserts at the end of the meal to every customers, but that’s not an official thing. Sometimes, I found out that they didn’t serve dessert. Either they ran out of dessert or they just didn’t feel like it that day. This restaurant also serve HK milk tea, while the one on Ralston Ave doesn’t, even though they are the same chain.

It was awful. I wish I would have kept walking towards Marketplace @ Metro Center but was hungry. Watered down Hot & Sour soup, dried out white rice, low budget cuts of chicken. The soup served in a paper container from another store. Food served in white styrafoam to go container. I was dining in, this apparently is how they serve. Any good reviews must be mixed up w/Hot Wok Bistro (Burlingame) which is decent. I don't eat out much, what a HUGE disappointment to waste money like this. The Diet Coke, served in a can (no glass or ice) was by far the best part of this "meal". Never going back, lesson learned.

Ping's Bistro was packed so I came here instead. What a mistake! Hunan Shrimp was surgery sweet and Salt Pepper Pork Chops was all salt and no pepper (and unnaturally pasty white). Rice was old, reheated from days ago. Funny how they serve dishes in to go containers? And also odd that I was only customer on a Sunday night. The table felt like it was going to collapse. Worn out chairs. Lesson learned.

Went through the line and they only take „tap” credit cards. I like to use my debit card to pay and could not here. So one star for you. Food isn’t that good anyway but to not accept debit is ridiculous

We went here for lunch on a weekday. It was not crowded and food was fresh. Service was great and the location inside the mall was well maintained

ordered through the mobile app at 9 pm for pick up at 10. ordered a plate: half fried rice, half chow mein, orange chicken and chicken with strings beans. picked up the order but it was in a small bowl. didn't think too much since I had to go home. when I opened it they just threw all the food together, the portions were off-more chow mein than rice and I didn't get the orange chicken! if they had ran out of it they should have told me. service at this location is getting bad.

Chinese fast food chains of rice. Basically fried rice, chow mein and stir fried dishes, and fountain sodas. The service was pretty quick considering the line. The staff was skillful in scooping the food into plates. They always asked anything else to mane sure you got all orders before payments. We ordered 2 plates (2 entrees and 1 side each). The fried rice was pretty plain and dry, but chow mein was good. I personally liked their shrimps, especially honey walnut shrimps. My husband, on the other hand, preferred the broccoli beef. Overall, except the fried rice, the rest were delicious. Oh, and they give free fortune cookies per orders.

It’s always fun to try something new! The only other time I had this was during a connection at Kunming airport, but it’s a nice change up if you’re in the mood for noodles. I like the fish but the beef and pork are also good. I also liked all broths. It stays hot for quite a while so don’t expect to be able to scarf this down. Pretty much all “locals” in here so you know it’s legit.

Hearty and warm bowl of noodles. The soup comes up while still boiling! The service was fairly quick as well. Some are commenting about the lack of flavour and that's true! But you don't come to a rice noodle place looking for a flavour punch. You're just looking for a light and wholesome bowl of noodles. And that it is! Nothing to complain about. Had a relaxing and good meal.

I really enjoyed this dim sum restaurant! All the dishes we ordered were tasty, fresh, and notably free from MSG, leaving us comfortable and not overly thirsty after the meal—a big plus. Food Highlights: The steamed chicken was tender and flavorful. The dim sum varieties like shumai and Baked BBQ Pork buns were delicious and well-prepared. The vegetables tasted fresh and complemented the other dishes nicely. Service: The service is friendly and responsive once you get their attention, but there are not many staff members circulating, so you might need to approach them for assistance. Still, their warmth and responsiveness made up for this. Atmosphere: The restaurant atmosphere was clean and welcoming, though slightly chilly due to a lack of HVAC heating. Wearing an extra layer of clothing easily solves this minor inconvenience. Overall, a great place for dim sum, especially for those sensitive to MSG or looking for a healthier dining option. Just remember to dress warmly!

Went in this evening with my partner and only ordered three items, first item(steamed pork buns) came in right away but then second item (sweet and sour chicken) took a while and finally the chow main never came. At this point me and my partner had been waiting for almost 40 minutes and not once did the waitress update on the status of the food. Not to mention a party of 4 came in like 25 minutes after us and were being attended and receiving their food on a timely manner. At the hour mark we told the waitress just to give the bill for the two items, Paid and left. There are better options in downtown San Mateo with outstanding customer service, this place ain’t it, stay away.

Small place with solid affordable Chinese food. The orange chicken was tasty, the quality of the chicken could be higher and this place would be amazing. Friendly staff - $13 for soda and orange chicken with rice

Found this wonderful place while I was in the area. The food I had was incredible. The beef was nice and tender, and I cut into the tofu like silk. The potstickers alone was great. Will be passing by here regularly when I am in the area.

Been here a couple of times for dine in and take out. I remembered my first visit was during Covid where they only offered to go. The menu they had that time was great, affordable, and fulfilling. And yes back in the days this place was called King Wah which I never had the chance to visit but to just pass by. The time I came here to dine, it was a full house but waits were not long thanks to their well trained and friendly staffs. Their menu offers many authentic delicious Chinese dishes. I highly recommend coming a bit early because the parking is not the best in the area. Definitely will be back!

After a really bad experience at another restaurant in the Sunset we decided to give this one in Daly City a try. Located not far from Westlake Mall, it’s located on top of a hill, alongside other businesses. The parking situation is a little complicated, still; however, there is plenty of parking space around the restaurant, just not immediately within the vicinity. This used to be a King Wah, which was a BIG staple of my childhood — but I’m glad to see that it became a better version of that restaurant and renamed as well. This restaurant definitely had the capacity to seat big parties like our family function, which we had 11 people. Here’s how our experience went at this restaurant — keep in mind that I did put our experiences over the rest of the reviews that I saw online: Food: 8/10 I’d recommend getting the party combos for 11 people since it’s actually more than enough to feed everybody. A little bit more on the expensive side, but a very smart financial decision when eating with so many people. We got the $498 combo which consisted of 10 to 11 different dishes — one of them being BBQ Combo Platter, Bamboo Pith & Seafood Soup, and more. The BBQ platter left my taste palates wanting more honestly. The highlight would probably have to be the whole Peking duck that we got — alongside the sea cucumber with mushrooms and pea sprouts. The texture was spongy and saucy and honestly, with the amount given to us, I can’t complain about it. What blew me away was the dessert: not only was it red bean soup, but it was also typical dim sum items that we didn’t really expect to be part of the menu. With a sponge cake and egg custard buns. Service: 9.5/10 The service given to us was pretty superb — it was very responsive and we really appreciate it a lot. Despite the fact that there were 11 people in our group, they did everything in their might to make sure that our experience was a good one, and that we had a spectacular time. The fact that we didn’t have to wait for the big table meant a significant amount to us, and the professionalism that the waitresses and the owner treated us with respect, integrity, and made us also feel like family at home. Atmosphere: 7/10 Given that this restaurant was on a hillside, I’m not gonna blame the restaurant, but it was a little tight in terms of space. It was hard to get in and get out from the tables, and while I had appreciated that the service was superb, the patrons around us were not as nice, and also lacked manners. We had told several tables several times to mind their own business, of which I had to talk to them in a very condescending manner. Overall, the community around Daly City is nice, but just be aware of people who will act like buttholes.

First time visiting Porridge King, and I’m really impressed! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is great. One unique thing about this place is that they allow you to bring in seafood for them to cook. I picked up a fresh crab from 99 Ranch, and they prepared an amazing salted egg crab—100/100, so good! Definitely coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!

Came here for a late lunch and it was cold outside, I was tired and missed my lunch and it was almost dinner time. I had a long drive to my hotel and I knew there would be traffic. I just finished a job in the same parking lot. I walked over here as the other places said Cash Only on their door! I ordered the Shrimp and Egg Chow Fun and to go I had the Roast Duck over rice plate. I was super hungry and literally anything should taste good to me. I dug into the shrimp chow fun and was kind of disappointed 😞 the noodles they were using were not great. I think they were not the thick ones have had my entire life. They were thinner and skinner. They tasted like they were from a package of instant noodles. No Wok Hei goodness either. I didn't eat much and just ate the shrimp and eggs. Super disappointed. Since I didn't get any satisfaction from the chow fun I ate the Duck plate as well. That on the other hand was good. I just ate the meat and a little rice to cut the greasy fattiness from the duck. The service was fine and the hot tea was welcome on a cold rainy day. Not sure how to review this as it was bad for me on a easy well known beloved dish. You guys try it and tell me!

I recently had dinner at Skyline Cafe and I must say, I am perplexed by the negative reviews regarding their service. During my visit, I found the staff to be quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly. It felt like I was in the game 'Overcooked,' irl where teamwork and speed are crucial to success. From the moment I stepped into Skyline Cafe, I noticed the staff's dedication to providing excellent service. They seamlessly cleared tables, took orders, and collected payments with ease. Despite the seemingly busy environment, the staff worked together harmoniously, ensuring that each customer was attended to promptly. Now, let's talk about the food. Sky Cafe certainly doesn't disappoint in this aspect. The menu offered a variety of options, and the portions were plentiful, especially considering the price. I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied with leftovers for 3 more days. We ordered the 3 dish combo meal which comes with the house soup and unlimited rice. I didn't know the portions were so big, so I ordered an additional noodle. All dishes came out quick, hot, and very tasty. the delicious food and generous portions ensured that I will be visiting again in the future.

Loved it! Hong Kong style milk tea is smooth and creamy. Liked the pan fried filet.

Been awhile since we came here. Saturday around 11 AM. Parking can be challenging since there is ranch 99 and other restaurants. We were able to sit right away. Things I personally liked: Salt & pepper tofu Salt and pepper fish Tripe-good sized portion Rolled shrimp noodle Rolled Chinese donut Xo noodles Service was good. Plates cleared fast. Some staff doesn’t speak much English but will call over someone else to help.

Dim Sum King is one of the go-to spots for dim sum in Daly City, and it's easy to see why. Packed during breakfast and lunch, it's a popular place for locals to gather with friends and family for a traditional yum cha experience--drinking tea, chatting, and catching up. We came here to meet a friend we hadn't seen in years, and the atmosphere was perfect for our reunion. Although there's no traditional dim sum cart service, the paper menu system works well. You simply check off the dishes you want, and they're brought out quickly--steaming hot and fresh. Here's what stood out: * Food: The baked char siu buns were the highlight--fluffy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. Most of the dim sum dishes were good quality and freshly made. They also offer roasted duck during dim sum hours, which is a unique touch. * Service: Quick and efficient, as you'd expect in a bustling dim sum spot. * Ambiance: Typical Chinese dim sum restaurant vibes--bright, lively, and full of energy. * Parking: The biggest downside. The restaurant is located next to the always-busy 99 Ranch Market, making parking a serious challenge. Overall, Dim Sum King delivers on authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Come for the food, stay for the conversation, but prepare for some parking frustration.
