DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! 100% sure the Sf city health inspectors know nothing about their rodent infested basement dry storage area-only accessible from the rear of the building. Large bags of rice and panco breadcrumbs sitting on a filthy floor with visible rodent droppings and chew holes.Even the door handle into the room is crusty🤮 Zoom in on picture-top of rice bags=mouse droppings

ā€œā€Scammer alert!Be aware your BILLā€ā€ First of all, the food tastes is OK. But please be aware your bill. This restaurant owner, dishonest. When you check out, he will only give you a total. When you find that the price does not match the price on the menu, he will make up various names to charge you prices outside the menu.

I started coming here in the late 80s when breakfast with milk tea or coffee was $2.99! Well, it’s $7.95 now! It used to to be owned & run by two sister and their family and then sold it to current owners! Still same dirty nasty chairs & table but food is still consistently decent! Milk tea is good, broth on the instant noodles are just as good as before! You just have to get over the chairs and aesthetics of the place! Service was fast and very friendly!

Came here for breakfast for a several times. The service was inconsistent. Sometimes they were slow, waited for 15 mins after you ordered the breakfast. If you’re hurry to work or doing something, not recommended to come here. Breakfast was good but really waiting too long for such simple breakfast. Service was average. Cash only, very inconvenient. Parking is very tough. Don’t come if you are expected parking on the street.

Authentic Sichuan cuisine. this restaurant is clean and tidy, including the restrooms, unlike many other restaurants in Chinatown. Every dish we had was very good, except for the fried fish fillets which were much too hard and salty.

Food taste is average, but portion sizes are tiny. I ordered the dry pot with cauliflower and pork belly, and what you see below is what I got. Probably less than 2 ounces of meat total. Wouldn't recommend unless you have nowhere else to go

Disgraceful food. I mean do you take any pride in creating even halfway decent food? I would rank this worse than microwave frozen orange chicken from the grocery store. Worse than any Chinese buffet I’ve ever had. Seriously? No flavor. Old. Bad quality chicken. You couldn’t pay me to ever eat this again.

You're passing through the neighborhood and you're looking for a place to stop and get a drink of water or a Coke this would not be a bad spot. No parking no seating area and really not the most convenient place stop around water. But if you're on foot and just walking through that should be fine. The Young guard who works there is nice And friendly. It's on a really nice street half a block away from the police station and across the street from the liquor store.

This place is pretty bomb. You'll probably encounter a line outside the door. Only the roasted items are available right now because of Covid. Got the Cantonese roasted duck, roasted pork, soy sauce chicken, and charsu

They have changed the menu for lunch to non stir fry items only. It's a disappointment for me as I was looking for something stir fry. Their deli items are still very good as my husband had a rice plate with roast duck. I tried a piece & it was good. However, not like normal rice plates at other restaurants, there were no veggies at all. Most places will give you cooked cabbage. I had a plate of warm rice noodles with beef. It was alright. Not especially fond of it as I had better.

The place is decent, not too shabby. The staff is alright, though not particularly friendly. I found the food to be lacking; I ordered the duck, and it was quite oily, cold, and salty. The egg noodles didn't compare to VH in Oakland, which I can understand given the lower prices. Overall, it was an acceptable meal, but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. Cash only!

The food is great; my family has been coming here for years and years. Our recommendations are the bbq pork over rice (tip: you can ask for a fattier or leaner cut when ordering depending on your preference) and the house special ho fun soup. Both the Chinese and Vietnamese options are good and the prices are reasonable. There’s one staff member that is consistently pretty aggressive and rude, but in general they will help you.

During a tour of San Fran, I walked through Chinatown and gave Cafe New Honolulu a try. Ordered the Sweet Fried Rice and Fish Balls. The rice was GREAT (loved the texture and stickiness). The fish balls did nothing for me - lived the sauce, but didn't enjoy the fish (it was made correctly, and I'm sure others love it, but it wasn't for me). However, I would go back and try another dish or two.

An enjoyable meal after exploring San Francisco Chinatown. Fried Rice with salted fish and chicken was my favorite. Complimentary tea was fragrant and good.

The food is very tasty. The curry is quite spicy, so don’t order it if you don’t like spicy food. The restaurant markets itself as the oldest in the U.S., which attracted me, but I wouldn’t return. As I mentioned, the food is good, but I’ve been to other restaurants where the food is even better. The service is very poor. I could see that they were trying hard to serve everyone, but there was a lack of management. It’s definitely not an issue with the waitstaff, but with the organization. I recommend ordering through the code on the table—it’s much faster!

Old school, bare bones kind of place. If you’re expecting fancy, gourmet Chinese food, this isn’t your place. The service was swift and the food was decent and tasty. Much like something you might get at a Chinese takeout place. I’d go again, but I wouldn’t make a great effort to go often… that said, I would try some different things. There was a lot on the menu!

新凯丰.Gourmet Delight BBQ Probably one of if not the worst ChineseĀ restaurants/food take out stores in San Francisco China Town. We ordered 3 dishes and one rice, the price was $52! And the noddle and eggplants were cold, probably from last night's left overs. The food tasted very bland, maybe just steam and blend together, not chief made on a wok. Store interior is not even clean If you value your money and stomach, and maybe hope for Chinese food,Ā  please avoid this store at all cost.

Please for the love of god do not get your roast duck here. The owner did not wash his hands after handling money and the duck was so greasy. Get your roast duck from Duk Hing. I wanted to go there but it was closed early. Lesson learned 😭

The food was good and it only cost $12 for peking duck, noodles and vegetables. But the duck was served really cold. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that way. I just didn’t like it.

Stumbled upon this place while I was walking through Chinatown for the first time. Speaking as a connoisseur of 燒肉 Siu Yuk from Hong Kong, the crispy roast pork here is delicious, very authentic and can rival the best of Hong Kong. Before my visit, I got a turkey sandwich and a bottle of Mountain Dew for 8 bucks, then came to Chinatown and bought the box of fried rice + Siu Yuk + tofu in the photo for $10. The portion was so big I couldn't even finish it. Great value for money šŸ‘ The staff are friendly and can speak Cantonese.

Very very good, fresh dim sum. The owner is passionate about food. All the flavors were coming from fresh ingredients and not added sugar or heavy added flavors.

PLEASE DONT EAT HERE we were in the area, thought it looks quaint. Lots of people so it seemed safe. Food was overpriced for what it was and SO BAD. I couldn’t eat any. My boyfriend had a bit of everything before we tossed it. I swear the plastic forks are used and dirty — just wrapped in napkin. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reuse the plasticwear. Don’t eat here

FOOD FIT ONLY FOR BAITING RATS. You could not pay me to eat here again. The quality of food that the owner served to us was blatantly disrespectful. You could pick through the trash bins in Chinatown and reheat it for the same experience. The food quality is VERY low. The buffet experience consistents of the owner bringing out paper plates, and plastic to-go packages of small amounts of random reheated/refried old food and insisting "you do not worry, no time limit, no food limit" then disappearing for a long time. Worst spring rolls I have ever had. Had beans, carrots and lima beans in them. See the attached picture. Fried "handmade" noodles were just random box noodles, also were burnt. We purchased cold dumplings from a street vendor that were better than anything this place had to offer. The dumplings he served looked like someone else's left overs. As we were eating a local driving by yelled out his window and warned us, "do not eat here, you will hurt" Do not waste your money or risk your health here!

A disaster. The FDA needs to investigate this place. Old, stale baked goods and just not a great environment. Sometimes, hole in the wall places have a certain charm of genuineness but this place just doesn't have a bar for food quality.
