Nanjing Salted Duck
Really authentic Nanjing food! Highly recommend roasted duck(烤鸭) and sweet lotus root with sticky rice (糖藕). You can choose to dine in or take out. They have a small number of tables available for dine-in.
The broth is overwhelmingly peppery, and you have to ask for salt and chicken essence, plus the duck liver doesn't taste fresh. I'm not sure if this is how an authentic duck blood vermicelli soup is supposed to be.
Panda Express
Food is good. Whole place are clean and staff serve very quickly with kindness attitude
The environment is well kept and the customer service is splendid. Thus, I could not ask for much more from a food establishment. In reference to the food, I got the super greens, kung pao chicken, Beijing Beef, and Honey Walnut Shrimp (takeout small container). All was decent besides the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Maybe I got the bad batch of shrimp (the walnuts were fine). Surely I would not recommend it. But the rest of the meal was satisfying.
LT Shanghai Restaurant
1st time here. We booked 2 of their "private room", and I was a bit worried, as the minimum is $300 per room. Turns out, I feel it's totally worth it, as this place is very packed during the dining hours. We can enjoy the "private time" with families, without being bothered by others. All food tastes great. The duck, cooked in 2 ways, is a bit pricey, based on the portions. Other than that, we are happy with this place.
Ate lunch special on Sunday! Food was delicious. Their sesame pancakes are really special. I’ve add the thick pancake before but not the thin sesame pancake (see photos) and it was so good. Highly recommend. Parking was plentiful.
Sichuan Sizzling 龙腾轩
As someone who’s half from Chongqing, I have to say — this place is absolutely amazing!! No misses at all!!! Even before I came, I felt confident because I heard the original team from Sanhe Zhu had opened this place. And sure enough, when I saw the tofu pudding (douhua), I immediately guessed they made it themselves — and the auntie at the restaurant confirmed it! No wonder it tastes just like the flavors from my childhood back home in Chongqing. Top tier, absolutely top tier. Follow my photos when you order — you won’t go wrong!
Hole in the wall alert! Good food, good portions, good prices, what more do you want? This place has amazing food without all that MSG. This is definitely a hidden gem that you should try out.
Phoenix Food Boutique - City of Industry
Always like food here. Not many dine-in, but a lot of take-out. 7/26/24 update: ordered string beans, crispy noodle with beef, and walnut shrimp. String beans are a bit tough. The other 2 dishes are good.
Great Chinese desserts. My wife and I loved the Durian rolls and the Mochi. The Hainan chicken was also very good.
NC Peking Duck
Chinese restaurant with roasted duck that must be ordered at least an hour in advance. We ordered the set A menu for our family of four which came with the aforementioned roasted duck with buns and hoisin sauce, steamed veggies, 10 pieces of xiao long bao, and Mongolian beef noodles for $98. There was another set menu option that had more food but set A was perfect. I called a day in advance to make a reservation as I couldn’t figure out how to do it online or through Yelp. Service was quick and we were seated immediately. Parking was easy as there’s a lot. Credit cards accepted.
Although the environment looks old, it is still clean. The taste is average, and the chef's cooking level is limited. The roast duck is $98, which is expensive. After adding tax and tip, it is not cheap. The waitress is diligent, they help to change the bone dish is beyond my expectation. I didn't expect that the waitress in such a restaurant is so thoughtful. If you don't consider the taste of the dishes when dining with friends, this place can be considered good.
Yong Moon Lu
Everything was packaged very nicely for takeout! They didn’t close the packaging for the fried pork all the way so everything was still so crispy when we arrived at home. Jjajangmyeon: noodles are bouncy, sauce is strong savory black bean flavor with onions and meat inside. Sweet and Sour Pork: so crispy with a side of thick sweet and sour sauce. Shrimp Fried Rice: very fragrant, lots of shrimp. Ask for a side of jjajang sauce and eat it with the fried rice!
Yong moon lu is the best. I would go everyday if I could! The yangjang pi was the best I’ve ever had with just enough spice from the mustard. It was delicious as leftovers too (the portions were huge - we had leftovers for days). The fried chicken was really good too. Even better than the sweet and sour pork, which is typically my favorite. We were so full but still enjoyed the jjajangmyeon and jjampong. The candied sweet potato they gave at the end as a free dessert was absolutely delightful. I wish they sold it! It’s so good. Not too sweet (the best Asian compliment). The staff are extremely fast, helpful, and very hard working. We got great service. Can’t wait to go again! Try to go early because they have a huge wait but.. it’s also worth the wait. Parking lot is small-ish so find parking elsewhere on the street
Tam's Noodle House
One of our favourite breakfast places in SoCal! Love the old HKG tea house vibe here and the breakfast sets are such great value for money. The congee is great and the stir fried noodles is seasoned just right. The chicken chop is huge just for one person and it comes with toast too!
Huge portions for their 8-11am menu. All the combos come with a drink ($1.50 extra charge for cold drinks). I love the coffee+milk tea served in their adorable Black&White mugs. Service is quick without being too overbearing, very traditional Cantonese style for a Cantonese restaurant. Noodle is king here
KW Cafe
Three of us went on Thursday night around 6:30pm, it was 90% full. Ordered 4 dishes, all dishes were in good quantity and tested good. 1. Braised String Bean, $14.99. Tasted good but a little salty, will ask less salty next time. 2. Tofu with Double Mushroom, $17.99. Tasted good. Tofu was crispy outside and very soft inside. 3. Shrimp with Honey Walnut, $21.99. Tasted good, shrimps were crispy outside and were in good size. 4. Dried Scallop with Egg Fried Rice, $16.99. Tasted good but a little salty.
Hong Kong style cafe. Cantonese, American, and some dim sum. Generous portions of food. Service is a bit slow. Be brave and speak up to flag waiter down. Once order is taken, food starts to come quickly! Tasty dishes.
Delicious Food Corner
Had breakfast at both their Rowland Heights and Diamond Bar places, and decided to give this place a try For $11.99, you can get a bowl of porridge, a side dish (fried noodle, or steamed vermicelli), and a coffee or tea. Porridge tastes great. The fried noodles are not hot enough. When it comes to service, I think the diamond bar place is better.
🍽️✨ The food here is fantastic! You can really savor the authentic Hong Kong flavors in every dish. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions, especially since each dish comes with a plate of rice. We actually forgot about that and ended up packing the extra rice to take home. 🥡 Definitely a delightful dining experience! 🍚
Happy Wok
I entered the Happy Wok restaurant in Rowland Heights at the Canyon Point Marketplace today at 11:35 am on Wednesday November 06, 2024 and I ordered the "Curry Chicken." Try to order the Curry Chicken if it's prepared like mine... it'll taste BETTER than if you have them use the dry and hard teriyaki chicken!!!😜 P.S. The kitchen staff CAN make adjustments to your order as long as you ASK before you pay... some are free, some might have a price adjustment.🤔👌
They offer different items & combos and man .. they sure pack up the food!! 🤩🤩 chow mein was one of the best I’ve had, lots of flavor ! They do not have orange chicken.. but they have tangerine chicken! 😋Comes in both regular and spicy! 🔥 so good & flavorful! The crab & cheese rangoon was very crispy and good! And PLEASE get the beef & cream cheese egg rolls!! It was so good, I bought more to take home to share with my family😄 they loved it! They also offer catering & party trays for your events🎉
Cocoin Kitchen
Review for Cocoin Kitchen Thank you.🙏 I recently stopped by Cocoin Kitchen for lunch after seeing it recommended online, and I’m really glad I did. It happened to be lunch and so the lunch menu was a little less expensive. I proceeded to asked the waitress what she would recommend. She asked me if this was my first time there, I said yes. She went on to mention to try the pork chops.; So I did. I ordered the pork chops with spicy sauce, and it was a great meal. The pork chops were thin, lightly fried, and had a mild spicy flavor that wasn’t overwhelming but added a nice kick. They were very tender and flavorful. The meal came with rice, which made it filling and well-balanced. I also ordered a hot green tea, which was smooth and relaxing. Because I ordered it with my meal, the tea was half off, which was a nice bonus. The service was fast, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the experience even better. While I was eating, the waitress came over and let me know that the gentleman who had been sitting behind me had paid for my lunch. She pointed him out to me as he was getting into his car, and I was able to wave as he was getting into his car. It was such a kind and unexpected gesture, and it truly made my day. I would like to give a huge shout out to that gentleman for his generosity and kindness. I've never had anyone do that. The atmosphere was nice and calm. There were not very many people in there. I guess the weather outside, because it was raining, they just ordered takeout or delivery. Cocoin Kitchen also has a pretty large menu with a lot of interesting options, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all really good. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area.
The workers are very friendly, and they have me an extra side of rice because the to-go order was taking longer than expected. There are at least two dishes that I would order EVERY time I go there from now on. Get the XO Seafood Fried Rice and the French Style Filet Mignon.
