I will 💯 be back to this place, and soon! We had a lucky accident when the place we were going ended up being closed today. We looked this up and went. Dining Partner (DP) and I came here since we were already in the general area. We were seated immediately, and ordered water while we looked over the menu. Our server Johnny never let our water run dry, and DP had to have his filled about 5 times! We ordered 2 appetizers: the steamed chicken dumplings, and the crab puffs. Both delicious. See description on pictures. Dinner consisted of clay pots, which we don’t see on many menus. See description on pictures. They were delicious! All of this for $45.41 before tip (and that includes tax!) 10/10 will come again

Tried this place twice and it was mediocre. The place I like is closed so I tried this place again. Ordered s&s chicken and the sauce is red water with little taste. The lo mein wasnt supposed to have shrimp and just the noodles due to allergies but there was shrimp. Good thing I looked! Chicken looks good but it’s all breading with very little chicken. A whole container of sauce was poured just to show how watery the sauce is. Needless to say this is the last time I’ll let this place steal my money.

Everything about the food we had tasted off. The rice didn't even taste like fried rice, the pork in the fried rice has two green spots (which we already know is an indication of mold), and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like it was made with standing/dirty dish water. We gave it two stars on the simple fact that they were miraculously open on 4th of July while we we're suffering from the flu. We will never come back here again. Only reason we came here was because Super Wok was closed and we had no other Chinese food place open nearby. Don't even bother coming here. Food is disgusting. I didn't have a chance to finish it because it tasted wrong.

I had the Beef and Broccoli combination plate that came with Sweet n Sour Chicken, fried rice, and egg roll. Decent price. Quick service. I really liked the sweet and Sour chicken the most.

I called this restaurant to place an order, and since it’s a Chinese restaurant, I naturally spoke Chinese. To my shock, the person on the phone immediately turned rude and dismissive the moment they heard me speaking Chinese. Their tone was impatient, condescending, and outright disrespectful—like they were doing me a favor just by answering the phone. It’s 2025. The fact that I even have to write this review is absurd. A Chinese restaurant treating Chinese-speaking customers like second-class citizens? What kind of self-hating nonsense is this? I can speak English perfectly fine, but why should I have to, especially when ordering from a place that literally profits from Chinese cuisine? If the staff despises Chinese speakers so much, maybe they should consider working somewhere else. This was not just bad service—it was blatant discrimination. Absolutely disgraceful.

The food is really good and the price is fair compared to other restaurants. But what keeps me coming back here is the customer service... the staff always treating you with respect and very friendly. Highly recommend it.

This place used to be The Bomb!!! We even saw star chef Roy Choi frequent this joint from time to time. But it seems to have undergone new ownership and consequently the food has gone down. The menu has changed. Xia Long Bao ibreaks apart, so I assume this is frozen from another branch (Alhambra) not done fresh in premises. They don’t even give you ginger w the XLB anymore. One has to ask for it. The BBQ pork buns also felt microwave or streamed frozen and is soggy and breaks apart. Rice Noodle Roll w Shrimp rice wrapper is too thick. The string beans no longer have ground pork but is still good.as it was fresh. We miss the salted fish and chicken fried rice now off the menu. So something has changed. Too bad as this was our go to in Pasadena. Mama Lu Pasadena suffers the same issue. They are frozen versions of the real thing. Not fresh.

Pretty decent!! Fast servicing, food authentic, wait wasn’t too long. Only disappointment was that most dimsums weren’t served in the baskets. Main dishes portion is huge.

In general, the food was satisfactory. I've experienced superior dining options elsewhere and hoped for more quality given the cost. My children enjoyed their meals, but personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. It serves as a decent local spot if you're in the area, offering a selection of ramen and related dishes. However, if your budget allows, I'd suggest dining at a different establishment. The service was adequate, with no significant issues to note. The atmosphere could use some improvement. A three-star rating isn't terrible; the restaurant just didn't impress me.

Restaurant was highly recommended and the portion of the food is great for the price but unfortunately the food didn’t sit well with me. The sour dumplings appeared to be old, we did go towards the end of the day. The general chicken had an off putting taste but thought the sauce was not mixed well. Figured since there were a lot of guest everything was made fresh. Soon after we left I was so sick & miserable as I had gotten food poisoning. I called and spoke to the manager and she was very apologetic and was going to speak with the kitchen crew.

Food is very good. Big menu and all the tastes vary based on protein and sauces used. The soups are excellent as well as the sushi. The sushi is all fresh and made to order. Recently the restaurant remodeled and I noticed last visit it is quite loud so sometimes having a conversation at the table is a challenge. The service is decent, sometimes a tad slow but overall can’t complain. I have been going to this eatery for many years. It improves all the time and is one of the best Asian eateries in the Baltimore/Annapolis area

I have been coming here for years since open. I love what Mrs. Jessica and her team have done with the place. They are always so hospitable. Whether you come early in the morning for the brunch or late night for the sushi bar just before close - you will always receive a consistently positive experience. I highly recommend the steamed pork dumplings. They are the best. No where else will satisfy the craving for me! Money well spent. Quality ingredients and amazing portion sizes! Coming here is always a treat.

If I could leave negative stars I would....we ordered regular egg roll because my wife is DEATHLY allergic to shellfish. What did they send her...a shrimp egg roll. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM.

My chicken fried rice was not cooked properly. The chicken looked like it was boiled and the rice was almost white. I ordered two vegetable egg rolls and they sent me two vegetable spring rolls that were very oily. It’s been a lot of years since I’ve ordered from China kitchen but it’s not as good as I remember. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

This was my second time coming here (the first time I came was on a whim and I was blown away!), and it did not disappoint. I’m honestly not sure why this place isn’t busier; the food is SO good! I came here for lunch with my partner today. I ordered the spicy seafood crepe and he got the pork belly crepe. We also shared shrimp gyoza and he got a pork bun. Everything was so good, so worth it!! I’ll admit, the first time I came I was a bit apprehensive about the crepe because I don’t love things that are overly eggy but the ratio is superb. It’s made to order and the staff are friendly! Definitely recommend :)

A nice spot in downtown Pasadena for Chinese style crepes. The taste of the crepes is authentic to the classic Tianjin street food. The biggest complaint however is the price of these street foods which would have any Chinese ancestor rolling in their graves regarding the absurdly high price for a classic cheap street item. If price is of no concern, then don’t let that dissuade you from trying out this delicious establishment.

Absolutely disgusting and poor service! Soy Sauce spilled all over food and boxes, orange chicken hard as a rock, lo mein smelled fish and the white rice smelled like bad feet odor. Owner refused to give a refund and wanted us to come back so she can recook the food. Hell no- recook food from a place that has not sanitary standards- PLEASE DON’T eat HERE!

I ate at this restaurant for the first time on a Friday and ordered $50.00 worth of food to try their different food options. One of the items I ordered was 4 chicken wings; which I was accused of stealing. I drove home to only realize we never received our chicken wings. Therefore I drove all the way back to store and the female owner had the nerve to show me the her video camera on her phone of when they had the chicken wings sitting on the counter. I said that was nice but I wish your team would have put them in my bag beforeI left, so I wouldn't had to drive back to the store. She said she would remake them this time... as if she was doing me a favor. I asked her was she accusing me of stealing 4 chicken wings??? She kept restating that she will remake them this time. Overall the food was not that good, the environment needs to be remodel and the customer service needs to improve tremendously.

While I find this food extremely good. The last few times that we have ordered. The portions of meat are extremely sparse aka Pepper steak with onions contained 5 short pieces of very thin cut steak. Good thing they chop vegetables very well because that's what most of the dish includes. I do think the owners work very hard however, so they get a pass. My advice would be to check your food before you leave especially the portions of meat and if you don't agree ask them to put more in. Otherwise the food is fresh and seasoned well.

The meal I ordered was not what I received. The meal consisted of 50% broccoli stalks, 30% peanuts 10% chicken and 10% mixed veg. It was disgusting. And the fried rice was mushy and completely gross. When I called, they told me that they were in a rush and that’s why the rice was mush. I was the only person in the restaurant and waited 40 mins for my order. I’ll gladly drive 20+ mins to avoid this monstrosity in the future. Just go inside and get a feel for the “ambiance” and general hygiene of the place if you don’t believe me.

Don't eat here if you want any of the protein. I got a bowl and saw hardly any protein so next visit got a plate to try to get more of the chicken. With the plate I got less chicken than the bowl had. Most of the chicken was just little scraps as well.

Ordered pepper beef, orange chicken, chow mein, super greens, egg roll and cheese Rangoon. Food was hot and fresh. Will return to this location.

Best Chinese food in Pasadena I love this place! My friend got a whole tray of fried rice, orange chicken, chow mein and bobafully loaded for $15! I had Mongolian beef and rice and I was really good! Next time I’m in Pasadena and Im hungry I’ll go here!

One of the best Chinese food places I've been to yet and I think they have gotten better at their service. It's only a language barrier to speak of but other wise they get five stars from me! 😋😋😋😋
