Golden House (Temple City)
My parents came here to eat multiple times and told me this place had good food, so we came here together for dinner. They have a good amount of tables and 3 private rooms. We were seated fast since it wasn't that full inside. We ended up ordering the lamb soup, thick green onion pancakes, duck, sauteed green beans, and pork dry tofu. They were served in around 10 minutes, not too long. The duck didn't really match my tastes but my parents enjoyed it. As for the green beans and dry tofu, both were too salty and I had to eat it with rice to stomach it. I guess people with heavier taste buds would not have a problem with those. As for the pancake, it was alright but it was seasoned a bit too heavily with black pepper. The soup was probably the best of all of them (close second would be the pancake) but was a bit too oily. The dishes overall well pretty average and somewhat lacking compared to its prices. There are much better tasting Chinese restaurants in this area at around the same price. The portions are also average. For some reason, they like to use very large plates that take up a lot of space on their small tables even though portion isn't that much. I wouldn't come back again. Probably would recommend for those who just want to give this place a try once.
Came back and saw they remodeled! Still plenty of parking in the back. Inside, the layout isn’t open anymore and has a private room. The hostess led me to this room without me asking and I was shocked/pleasantly surprised! My party had only 4 people and yet we were given the nice room (I think cause when we arrived, there weren’t many customers there). The service was great in providing water refills and when we needed to order more food. Their beef rolls are impressive!! They are crispy and super tasty! The soup dumplings are very good and flavorful and the stir fried noodles are delicious too! We ordered the house beef noodle soup but forgot to ask for it without spice, it is pretty spicy! I also loved the decoration inside the private room. Very beautiful! They also have really cool dragon chopstick holders.
Kang Kang Food Court
Best cheap and quick Chinese food eateries in town! 3 item combo only $10 and I got a bunch to go, ranging from all sorts of chicken, pork, beef dishes, grilled fish, veggies, tofu, and come up with a side of rice and seaweed egg drop soup. They also have other dumpling dishes but I always stick to the quick and dirty combo meals. Yum!
Food was all fine when we dined in in the morning. Our kids loved the Shao Mai so I got three big ones to go. When we got to eat them at night, I found mold on two of them after eating the first. The lady sold me these told me “take them all, they are all freshly made!” I can’t believe freshly made food will develop mold the same day….
Ho Kee Cafe
Basic dish like BBQ pork and soy sauce chicken looked like it is a leftover from few days ago.... Sweet and Sour Pork are just bad... it is disappointing. The only positive thing could be now they are giving free shrimp when you ordered $50 or more. We packed the Sweet and Sour Pork to go but its all fat...
This is 100th anniversary of Kam Yen Jan celebration and their legacy of crafting authentic Lap Cheong (lạp xưởng - Chinese sausages) and preserved meats. The event brings a perfect product tasting experience to me and the other foodies. Had Lap Cheong since I was a kid. Love their products! Menu of the event: 1. Ho Kee deluxe platter 2. Chinese broccoli with cured meat 3. Deluxe prawn 4. Crab meat & fish maw soup 5. Sizzling chicken casserole with Chinese sausage 6. Sauteed beef with snap peas 7. Minced duck meat served with lettuce wraps 8. Baked lobster with ginger and scallion 9. Claypot rice with assorted sausages
Grand Harbor
The dim sum is satisfactory, but unimpressive in terms of value for money. We felt like we spent a lot and ate very little. The dishes are categorised into small, medium and large, costing $5.38, $6.68 and $7.38, respectively. There are also special/premium ones that cost even more. They do offer a discount during the weekday in which you can get 20% off your bill if you pay before noon and 10% after noon. I don’t think it’s worth it to come on the weekend because it already stung with the discount.
Made a reservation for private banquet room for 7 people and ordered their set menu that is roughly $90/person for a menu for 10 people. Overall standard dishes that were great with friendly service. Lobster, Peking duck, filet mignon, all great staple dishes.
小湘厨Hunan Cuisine
I Will never be back to this place ! Food and service is bad I was served and charged for an aweful sticky tofu dish The first time it was cold, literally as you cut through it and the second time it was burnt! They must have just reused the same tofu from the first time and deep fried it until it was inedible When I expressed my concerns to the waiter, he just said this is how it is served and left! very disappointing ! Places like this shouldn’t exist
We drove by this plaza and noticed a newly opened restaurant, so we decided to give it a try as we love spicy Chinese food. It may look like a small spot from the outside, but the food was a great surprise. The rice noodles, smashed eggplants with thousand eggs, and dry pot perilla frog were all delicious and full of flavor. Definitely worth checking out, and we’ll be back for sure.
Auntie Qiu Kitchen
Super delicious Shanghainese food! I love their pancake 煎饼果子, soy milk豆浆, fried dough 油条,and San Huang chicken 三黄鸡. Portion is great and the place is decorated with many old Shanghai items which gives a pleasant vibe. The service is also top notch. I’ll definitely come back. I went to this place recommended by friend and was shocked to see such a nice restaurant only has a rating of 3.9 - definitely worth 4.5 and higher in my mind.
This location is in Arcadia next to 99 Ranch Market. Parking is plentiful in the parking lot. Sunright is also next door. I think this is a good place to get Shanghainese food. There are no frills. If you pay cash, you get a discount. I was here for dinner, and they ran out of some items already! I ended up getting a noodle soup, which was so delicious on a cold night. The black sesame mochi roll was actually really delectable. I recommend sharing this because it gets carb-y. There is one restroom in the back. Credit card is accepted.
Rice Wok Chinese Food
I ordered a wonton soup and ate half of a shrimp. The shrimp was very slimy and also had a strong oder . I went to get a refund and the cashier lady was just giving me a smirk on her face but she gave me my money back. The cook in the back was just peeking from the door, looking at me as if he knew I knew the shrimp had been bad and still had the audacity to serve it instead of letting a manager know to throw the shrimp away .i been a regular costumer since they opened with no problems until today. I don't recommend getting anything with shrimp on it!
All right guys I usually don’t do this but I can’t pass it up this time. I got some moldy black pepper chicken and it smells so bad I’ll post a picture right now I’m sorry rice Xpress, but this is not OK. It hurts to show you guys . And for rice express I am also sorry that you let somebody service this
Happy Noodle
it's such a nice small authentic Chinese restaurant in the corner. everything we got tasted pretty good. the dumplings tasted a bit different though but it's obvious they make it their own so i appreciated it. would definitely go back.
Haven't been here in a while! Food is still good! Although their specialty is good from the 四川 (SzeChuan) region, it's not SUPER spicy to their standards. If you're still afraid, you can make sure to tell them to make it not spicy, but usually it'll specify in the menu. Wonderful staff! We accidentally got the wrong dish one day, but decided, "What the heck, we'll take it!" If it is too spicy though, the Driftwood Dairy is just across the corner! Milk definitely helps cut down on the spice 😆!
Panda Express
My younger daughter and I come here every week on Monday while my other daughter is at her horse riding lessons. I am always greeted with a friendly welcome by everyone but Josh is always the loudest 🤭It is so important to have eye contact, communication and friendly Customer Service it’s becoming less and less to experience friendliness. The Manager Jasmine is always on top of everything and doing a 👏 but I don’t want to leave out Diana! The food here is always amazing always fresh. I recommend coming in around 11 or 12 due to the fact that they open at 10 so there’s not a wide selection but don’t worry they will make it fresh for you within 7 to 9 minutes. They have a great selection, but our favorite is the honey sesame, and the Kung pow chicken. Another thing that I have to say about this place, which is again very rare is that their restrooms are always clean and smell good and they’re constantly cleaning, especially when they have downtime. This place is always very very clean! Hope this helps 😎 Blessings, Charissa TikTok @onlythebestfoods
have you ever been to a panda that wasn't crowded? me neither. great food. i ordered the mushroom chicken, with rice and chow mein. rice is my go to and the portions are great that you may have some leftovers. you can eat outside on the tables which is cool. i recommend this panda and will be back for more. until next time!
Little Beijing
I don’t think we’re eating chicken guys cartilage Just doesn’t add up. I don’t know about it starching out like a noodle and leaving those holes on whatever this is. I could be wrong and for Gods sake I hope I am If some knows please explain Thanks Just my humble opinion
Best pineapple shrimp!!!! Lady is super sweet and cool! I love this place! My kids only eat the chow mein so I order a small party pack and we all eat more than enough. This place should have so many more costumers than this see there as well as reviews. This review is very much deserved, and so does s your tummy for that food.
Panda Express
Literally out of every protein option. 20 minute wait for orange chicken. Worker was rude. Finished order was wrong.
The noodles are very dry and have no oil. The orange chicken is hard and the employee mix the old cooked chicken with the new cooked chicken. They don’t throw away the old chicken and continue to serve them to customers. It’s not right because the old chicken is left for so many hours. I cannot eat or swallow because the chicken was so dry. Very bad customer service from this Panda location
Shanghai Gourmet
Shanghai style chinese cuisine food is really good here and the price is good. The staff is friendly and the food came out quick. Plenty of parking and is pretty busy during lunch hours.
Always super delicious food that comes out very fast! Also very affordable and sweet service.
