Chin's Szechwan - Carlsbad
Ordered take out. I thought prices were high initially but portions were quite large so 2 adults could easily share an entree especially if you get an appetizer too. Food was nicely packaged and done promptly after ordering online. Pictured is cashew chicken. Seemed like it was fresh food also, not reheated. Also tried sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers, and egg rolls. Of note sweet and sour chicken sauce was served already on the chicken.
Excellent Chinese food in Carlsbad !! Well spiced. Freshly made. Highly recommend the hot and sour soup and the Green beans with spicy beef. The prices are high but the portions are large and generous.
BKK THAI KITCHEN
An all-around exceptional experience! We dined here last year, and it was refreshing to see familiar faces still providing their amazing service. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy a wonderful Christmas lunch with the family. Thank you, BKK Thai, for making our holiday meal so memorable!
The food was great. Service was also good and on time. The server took really good care and even had the courtesy to check if we liked the meal or not (while we were having the meal).
Kinaly Lao & Thai Restaurant (Carlsbad)
This is a little find in Carlsbad! We wanted Thai food and we wanted it in this specific area, so we came here. The restaurant was empty on this Sat afternoon. We were a little apprehensive but decided to give it a shot anyway. We got seated immediately. The server was nice. Each table has a bell with buttons indicating "call" and "pay", which was unique and I wish more restaurants would adopt this. The Thai menu is pretty much standard. Their Lao menu has like 8 items. We ordered the drunken noodles from the Thai menu and Khao Poon or Vermicelli Curry Noodles from the Lao menu. Both plates were delicious but not super spicy. For next time, we will ask for a higher spice level. The drunken noodles was a proper stir fry with a lot of veggies and a mix of great flavors. The Curry Noodles was a bowl of coconut milk based soup with vermicelli, minced chicken and beef pieces and veggies. The bowl was a huge portion and would have sufficed 2 people. The drunken noodles was good for 1.5 people. Pricing wise, it is on par with Carlsbad. We will be back to try more options!
Food tasted fresh and delicious. I am not an authority on whether it was authentic Thai but the flavors met my expectations. Staffing was a little light so we did have to wait a little longer than we would’ve liked. It was a little frustrating that they had run out of many items when we ordered. Take out is probably a safer bet.
Super Sushi
The ninja roll is the best roll hands down. It’s always a good time when I go out for super sushi. The staff is great and the food comes out perfectly. It’s not a long wait time from when you order and the food comes out and it’s delicious. It’s a good atmosphere and the restaurant is clean. I can’t think of anything negative to say about super sushi. I always recommend it to people who want to try sushi spots out here. If you’ve never been, I 10/10 recommend.
Super Sushi offers a diverse and delicious selection of sushi for an affordable price! My personal favorite roll was the Panko Roll. I’m definitely coming back!
Panda Express
Out of all the different Panda Express’ that I’ve been to this by far my s the worst! First of all not one person greeted me, the only thing was said when I was ordering was, “we don’t have brown rice.” The portion size has dramatically shrunk to what is not put into a 4 oz cup and then the rice is in a separate large entree container. This was supposed to be an entree of string bean chicken with rice but for some odd reason the dishes up separately. Unfortunately I didn’t go to get it or I would have said something to them. I understand the employees are now making $21 per hour but come on guys be a little thankful because if I had voted you wouldn’t be getting paid that much. This place needs serious customer service training and proper portion sizes, hopefully that isn’t it or they will go under. I am now done with Panda Express.
Don’t bother coming to this location. The portion sizes have dramatically decreased and the prices went up. It’s like these people are trying to save food for the winter or something. Extremely weird considering they throw out a lot of food during the night before closing. Make it make sense.
Panda Express
I just want to say that I'm so overjoyed that this Panda Express location offers Beyond Orange Chicken, and honestly I've almost been coming here weekly, for the past 6 weeks or so, since I first found out about it. We actually have 3 Panda Express locations closer to home but none of them offer it, and so I had no idea it was "back", per se, and only found out via random search. Thank you so much and please keep it on the menu!!! Honestly, this particular location really does a great job overall, especially considering the large crowds at times. Given the more than reasonable pricing, Panda Express is pretty hard to beat.
Very good. It only cost $19.78 for the two of us! In this era of hyperinflation, Panda Express provides us with cheap, healthy, and delicious food. God bless you!
Secret Sauce Wok & Grill
Your average boba plus they have a lot of other good things on their menu that many would love. Fruit chunks they're a little bit too big you can't get into the large straw, then you're stuck trying to fish him out of the ice after you're done with your drink.
Made to order quick Chinese food. I got walnut shrimp. It came with a side of rice. The shrimp was a decent size. Coconut and flavor was on point. My only complaint was the portion. It was deceiving because the bottom of the container was a layer of wonton chips. That was unnecessary. I would have preferred it to be all walnut and shrimp. This place also serves boba milk tea and dim sum!
