We ate here 12-24-24 for lunch and got so sick for over 72 hours after eating lamb noodle soup, pickled mustard greens (side dish), and beef rolls. Coughing and throwing up everything daily, diarrhea, body chills, fever, can’t eat or drink. All tasted good but we are never coming back. The lamb soup smelled funny but we didn't think anything. This is the only food we ate and we never got sick from food for decades. Be careful of stale lamb or beef meat, or cooks and wait staff handling food who are not hygienic after bathroom use. Hard to know how we got so sick. The bathroom is dirty. Several reviews mention this. It's difficult to know if it's the staff and not washing hands or stale food or contaminated food. Cash or Venmo only.

Beef rolls are good. Xlb is Mid. But what takes the cake away is that they use MSG in their beef noodle soup. I might as well eat salt water with my noodles. I had to separate the noodles from the soup to make it edible. This place used to be filled with people and delicious food, but now it’s a shadow of its former self and I wouldn’t recommend it.

A yummy lunch with friends and fantastic service! Our lemon ice teas never got empty! Our server was so sweet too! I mentioned that the soup of the day was my favorite so she told me it's always on Sundays and brought me a second bowl! The shrimp and egg chow fun was the star dish today! We enjoyed the salt and pepper pork chops as well as the fish and veggies, needed something healthy lol. Tried the spaghetti bolognese cuz I read some good reviews. It was good but didn't go with everything else lol. Had to end the meal with some egg waffles! Yum! They just started having dinner specials and have weekday specials, not valid on holidays and a great selection of happy hour items too. One of my fav Chinese cafes.

Fantastic food. Great service. San Gabriel Valley's hidden gem. They have the BBQ side and the Cafe side. The Cafe side has Hong Kong Cafe style food. Usually a dish eaten by one person. The BBQ side has more traditional dishes that are meant to be shared by a family, or eaten family style. Everything is shared and passed equally.

Always love their beef innards noodles. Big portion, good price and good service. Cant go wrong

*CASH ONLY* Passed by this place many times, but never been inside. Not bad! Sadly, I wanted to get the rice dish for my girlfriend but the chef that normally fries up the wok is out of commission.

Food was delicious. I was a bit worried about the buns with sea cucumber in them, but those tasted great too. I would say it's a bit spicier than expected, so go with no spice if you are a bit sensitive. The meat pies and noodles I also enjoyed very much. I would definitely order the spicy cold beef appetizer, it had this light sweet crust too that was different than I've had. Pro tip: they do have crunchy chili oil that you need to request. They also do breakfast now, so I'll definitely try that next

I really enjoy coming to family owned businesses like this one. There's more than just Panda so stop by this local spot! Original recipes and very good food. I ordered the beef pies (4), cool chicken noodles and the shewed beef noodle soup. I'll be coming back for sure.

To be honest, this is truly the most authentic Malatang I've ever had, not just in LA, but even in the United States! The flavor is really amazing, with rich seasonings that transport me back to Chengdu in an instant!!! Even the store clerk speaks the Chengdu dialect, how familiar is that?! Seeing fellow townsmen and tasting the flavors of my hometown is simply incredible! One word: AWESOME!!!! I highly recommend it!!!! No disappointments at all!!!!

Very authentic Malatang :) my husband said it’s the exact same malatang from his hometown in China . This is our first meal coming from Houston to LA for a trip . Very impressive

One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two or more people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots. The tomato based hot pot is also a good choice as a non spicy option and might be too much if you are alone to be here.

I usually don't write reviews, but I had to share how amazing my recent meal was at this restaurant! I tried their special beef tripe hot pot and fish hot pot, they were hands down the best I've ever had! The brown sugar rice cake is a must-try and the best in LA, no doubt! If you're in the mood for incredible food, you gotta check this place out! You won’t regret!!!

The tea personally isn't anything spectacular but I really love their beef noodles bowl & tea eggs. The beef noodle soul bowls is packed with flavor along with their tea eggs

I’ve only come here for the boba and it’s been good. Boba drinks are good. I haven’t had the opportunity to sit in and try their food, but the seating area looks very clean and very peaceful for one to come in and do computer work at.

Food was good but could be better. The noodles were a little too salty for my liking. The Chonqing chicken was really good but it’s also hard to mess it up. I wish there were more fresh green peppercorn on the frog dish.

Food came out super, super fast. Everything was tasty, I liked the fried rice a lot actually. The beef noodle soup was alright though

So excited to find this place in SGV that has vegan xiao long bao!! Most places have vegan dumplings (like din tai fung), but not easy to find vegan xiao long bao. They were yummy and juicy. We also got the sesame noodles which were good.

Dim Sum Dumpling House in Alhambra offers a cozy, home-style dining experience, with food that feels comforting and reminiscent of traditional Chinese "mama's kitchen." The dumplings and other dishes have a homemade quality to them, which is one of the highlights of the place. The xiao long bao and beef pancake, while tasty, unfortunately suffer from thick skin, which takes away from the delicate balance of flavors. The glutinous rice siu mai with pork was also a bit of a letdown, as I expected sticky rice throughout, but the unexpected pork in the middle threw off the taste. Service is slow, as it seems there is only one person managing everything--from taking orders to cooking and handling payments--which leads to longer wait times. The lack of air circulation made the atmosphere stuffy, making it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy the meal fully. While I'm rooting for this mom-and-pop business, especially with all the buzz around it, I hope they can improve on these small details to really shine. There's potential here, and I'd love to see them succeed!

The food was really good. I recommend the spicy fried beef dry pot. The wok-fried chicken with rattan pepper was also generally good, but I personally did not like the rattan pepper, which can have an overpowering flavor. To drink, I tried the honey-rose tea and it was delicious.

Their food is immaculate and very delicious. The decor is upgraded from their previous location and the service is quick and great. You do have to order via QR code unfortunately but you can ask for other items like white rice and other things when you need to. We ordered the shrimp omelette which is very simple but very delicious. The stir fried beef with scallions is great and flavorful. The special lamb with lamb intestines spoon was deceptively spicy and delicious. The boiled fish fillets in chili sauce is always a classic dish to be enjoyed. I love the beef & ox offal they had as a cold dish (Fu qi fei pian). Highly recommend making reservations.

One of the best Dim Sum in SGV. This Alhambra favorite lives up to the hype with both quality and variety. The dining space is modern and always bustling, but if you time it right, you can skip the crowd. We came on a Monday at 12:30pm, zero wait, walked right in. Weekends, though? Be ready for a long line. Fortunately, they use a Yelp waitlist, which makes the wait a bit easier to manage if you're planning ahead. We ordered 5 dim sum today: Spinach Shrimp Dumpling: Translucent wrapper, juicy shrimp, and fresh spinach. Clean, light, and flavorful. Shrimp Cheung Fun: Smooth rice noodles wrapped around tender shrimp with a soy sauce on the side classic and comforting Beef Balls: Springy and savory, served on some veggies with worcestershire sauce on the side Bolo Bun (Pineapple Bun) with BBQ Pork: This one hit all the marks. Crunchy, golden topping with warm, soft bread and a rich, sweet-savory BBQ pork filling. The textures here are unbeatable. Mala Cake (Cantonese Brown Sugar Cake): Soft, spongy and sweet. Service was quick and efficient, and dishes came out hot. Prices lean a bit upscale for dim sum, but the portions and quality more than justify it

Lunasia Dim Sum in Alhambra is a fantastic spot for an authentic and delicious dim sum experience! The variety on their menu is impressive, and each dish is carefully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dumplings are generously sized and bursting with flavor - the shrimp dumplings (har gow) are plump and perfectly steamed, and the siu mai is savory and satisfying. The crispy shrimp rolls and egg tarts are also must-tries, with a delicate balance of textures and flavors. The ambiance is lively, and the staff is attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. Lunasia is truly a gem for anyone craving top-notch dim sum in the area!

The food is great! The mala chicken was chewy with a little kick. Watercress with fish cake was aromatic. The fish cake was fresh and chewy. The coconut soup had black chicken and fragrant of coconut water. The servers were very polite and attentive. And they have their own parking. Overall a great experience! Highly recommended 👍

I went to this restaurant on a Sunday after I conveniently saw it across from Alhambra's farmer's market. I ate lunch here, but the restaurant is typically open weekday evenings. At first impression, the restaurant had a bit of an upscale ambiance. The food is a little pricey, and I admittedly feel like I could get the same dishes for a lower price or bigger portions elsewhere, but the ingredients taste fresh. I got the crispy calamari, Dongpo pork belly, and the eggplant salted fish claypot. I found the Dongpo pork belly to be incredibly tender, although the cut of meat was too fatty for me. I ate the pork belly with rice and it still felt too oily and was difficult to eat for my own tastes, although some might like the texture and flavors. To be honest, the restaurant's food did not stand out to me. My lunch total, with drinks and rice, came out to a total of about $81. Good overall service and decent food.
