I came here for the good reviews and was not left disappointed. I ordered a prawns and string beans lunch special and had a choice for white rice, fried rice, or chow mein and I picked chow mein and it also came with a soup and egg roll and all for less than $14. The food was freshly made and was not overly greasy. The noodles were chewy delicious. I will come here again for take-out!

Wow. For a quick and easy meal, this place gives you enough food for lunch and dinner for under $10! It's like panda express on steroids. I recommend their spicy chicken wings with chow mein. 👌

I really enjoy the food at, Asian Wok. My family and I live about 10-20 minutes away but we make the drive because the service is great, the owner is really nice with kids. She gave my little sister some candy. The food is amazing! They always make sure to fill up our plate. Highly recommend 100%

Service good… food left my stomache questionable for 12 + hours. Not sick, but something anit right. Just my two cents.

Small servings, staff starts staring when you are ordering. Replace staff and get better serving size. Also their chow main consists mainly of cabbage and barely any noodles

Hella stingy here. Last time I came I bought a bowl and side of crab rangoons, they only let me have one sauce packet and refused to give me another, even if I offered to buy extra sauce. Most recent visit they basically gave me a bowl of rice.

I ordered their Basil Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and Orange Beef. The Kung Pao Chicken had quite a lot of veggies. The Orange Beef was the best; it was delicious and sweet just like I like it. I would definitely come back to try more of their dishes. The restaurant recently reopened under the new name on August 27 2018. The staff were very nice and polite and the restaurant interior was very clean.

I love the tofu beef on the steam rice. The black pepper beef was really tasty, but I was not aware the food was spicy. Everything else I will still going back to taste them.

I love spicy food and the Kung Pao chicken with chili peppers hits the spot. Yum, Yum...lol. I also enjoy the Honey Sesame Chicken. This location is in the Lucky's Shopping Center on A Street. The staff here is always friendly and the food is always hot and fresh.

I've only done the order online and takeout once. And during this pandemic, its a take-out process which turned out exactly as it should. The entire order was correct, the boxes were packed to the brim with food. Everything was packaged up and ready to go at the time they said it would be ready. The $20 family meal was a tremendous value. Thank you Panda Express!

Papaya short ribs, lemon chicken, vegetable chow mein, veggie egg rolls. Also, duck to go which is not shown in the pictures. All delicious food very authentic if you're looking for that. This is not a place you come to if you're hoping for fast Chinese food you see in the window. Very authentic Cantonese style Chinese food. This is my new favorite whole in in the Wall Chinese food place.

I ordered fish flavor pork. First the chef (who also took my order) refused to give me white rice instead of fried rice. (Fried rice costs an extra $1.50). Then when the food came out it was eggplant. Had to send it back and this is what I got. I lived in China for ten years. This is NOT fish flavor pork (鱼香肉丝). No Chinese person would accept this. This is vegetable stir fry with brown sauce. You'd get more authentic Chinese food at Panda Express. And it's cheaper too.

Neat Clean serving and dining area. Indoor dining available. Hot Fresh Food. Kind knowledgeable Helpful staff. Many different selections. Easy to understand pricing and menu. Customer Service with a Smile. Very reasonable prices.

This breaks my heart to write this since I've been going here for the last 10 years, through highschool, covid, all of it. I loved this place, but after today I dont think I'll ever come back. The food has completely changed, as well as the quality. I noticed the second i walked inside and was told many people have been asking if the recipes had been changed. This could've come from the safeway Chinese bar and I wouldn't have noticed, not to mention the price has gone up more, which if the food was good and they hadn't made the portion size smaller I wouldn't have minded. It's bland and overcooked. The potstickers are gummy and thick, the chicken dry inside with barely a whisper of flavor, and the noodles blander than I thought possible. The employee who was working there (very nice) said a couple months ago there was a change in ownership. It's ashame that this what they chose to do with the restaurant. If it ever gets better or goes back to the old recipes I'll maybe go back but for now, just go somewhere else or save your money.

Overall, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Pickled fish is great while not spicy. The lettuce is a little bit oily.

San Leandro gem of Chinese restaurant 😋. I say price is above average and so does the yummy food. Give it a try and you won't regret. But most food taste much delicious when dine in. The huge bowl of fish (double sides) is really good. Very fresh fish, one side sour spicy, one side numbing spicy.

I don't know why this amazing authentic Chinese restaurant didn't get beyond four stars?! Don't matter anyway cuz if you're late the chicken would be gone! And do send in your order of mixed BBQ pot rice once you sit down cuz it takes 25 min and every table is getting it. Clean, roomy, new and bright with polite service and variety selection of authentic Chinese food! This is the one you don't want to say no I haven't visited yet.

The roast pork and bbq pork were delicious. They were both tender and flavorful, and the roast pork had a nice crispy skin. These are the two items that stood out for our meal today that I'll definitely be back for more of these. Other items we tried are clay pot rice which was good but still missed the mark compared to Asia, and pea sprout with garlic was delicious but the same as some other Chinese restaurants that I've been too. Next time, planning to try their roast duck.

There was a 30-minute wait on Saturday for lunch. This place is huge. Food was delicious. Fried rice took forever to come out. We had to ask about our fried rice twice. They cook the same dish in batches so some food takes longer than others, and most food comes out likewarm. You order off a tablet with pictures so don't worry if you don't speak Chinese.

One of best Chinese Restaurants in the East Bay area. Foods are delicious 😋 😍. Services are great. On Labor Day weekend, long line before the restaurant was open. That is expected for Dim Sum restaurant when there is holiday. Be aware. Tips is already added on the bill. So, don't double tip.

Special Hainan Chicken 和记海南鸡饭 0

Special Hainan Chicken 和记海南鸡饭

If you're looking for Hainan Chicken, this place has it. That's it! They specialize in one thing, and perfected it. Their combo deal always pulls me at how much food (noodle soup and chicken) comes for the price. Their ginger scallion sauce is delish; I can put it on everything. Their duck is good, too.

The Hainan chicken was quite tender and juicy with firm texture but not much flavor to it. It's better than a lot of other Hainan chicken places in the bay and you can't beat the price for around $14. The ginger scallion sauce didn't have much ginger or scallion taste to it other than being salty. So now you have bland chicken and salty sauce but it's not as bad as it sounds since the texture of the chicken was good and juicy. The fried chicken gizzard was prepped right and appropriately sized. Not too much breading and the right amount of crunch and flavor. The fried tofu was okay and nothing special about it so I would skip it if it's your favorite dish. The braised duck was decent and kind of bland but the texture wasn't mushy which is common for ducks. The lemon tea was watered down Lipton black tea with slices of lemon tossed in there. It's not the authentic kind with ultra concentrated three types of tea leaves base and lemon juice infused syrup. The kind with rich lemon and tea flavor without the bitterness and roughbess in the mouth. But that's almost impossible to find in the bay unless you make it yourself. I would skip this drink if lemon tea is your thing. The service was good, everything came out orderly and fast. They have room to combine the tables for party of 6 or more. Parking is plenty in the plaza. This place offers good value in this price range for lunch and quick dinner. At under $15 a meal, this has to be one of the top Hainan chicken restaurants in the bay area.
