Pete's Fish & Chips
I'm visiting Phoenix for the first time I researched Pete's Fish and Chips before showing up. They are as proud of this establishment as El Paso is proud to call Chico's Tacos their own. I knew in advance you have to eat outside at a picnic table and that you are to eat with your hands. No plastic ware is provided. It is cash only. I ordered the #2 special (2 fish, 7 shrimp, fries and a 32 oz. Drink. I paid an upcharge for substituting onion rings for fries. I asked for a magnet souvenir and the girl asked "nuts or no nuts?" I told her a magnet like you stick on a refrigerator, not a brownie. It took 3 tries to get the magnet. It was free. Although it took a while for the order, it was hot and fresh. I expected some tartar sauce but instead received 3 cocktail sauces. It worked. The fish were small and square, like McDonald's. The shrimp were a breaded strip that contained small shrimp. The printed hype didn't match reality. San Antonio easily has better chain establishments, like J. Anthony's or Sea Island. I was greatly disappointed.
Prices are good! The breaded items I got were amazing. Fish, nuggets, shrimp wow definitely reorder. The fries and burger and corn dog was generic I'd skip them next time. But all that for like $30. Pete's sauce is kinda spicy but it was good! So I came back 2 hrs drive away and the service was still amazing and they even gave us two stickers. Food is fresh and tasty. This is great priced good food.
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
I got the kung pao chicken with fried rice and it was AMAZING!! The staff here is very friendly and my food came out HOT and quick!!! Highly recommend this location
The food was really good and made fresh. Good portions too.
PHO VN
Food was great! Friendly family atmosphere, great music, great people, great experience overall. Will definitely be back. Lots of food choices, low prices. Great well lit seating. Loved the music and food choices. Generous portions! Thank you so much, loved the authenticity and great easy to access location
Great service, Delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere. Thanks for your hospitality and friendliness :) Got a personal visit from the chef to ensure we were enjoying our meal ☺️ Thank you!
Dragon Bowl
Ordered for lunch. Came hot and fresh. Had the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. It's not too spicy which is good for me but it does have a little kick. The fried rice I got with my meal was just white rice with soy sauce no veggies or egg but over a very good meal. Very fresh. Would definitely recommend. 😊
Excellent food, really fast service since we placed an order while driving by and it was ready for pickup in 10 minutes. We got incredible portion sizes and I love that they gave us food in a sturdy cardboard box instead of plastic bags. The sautéed green beans were great just like the vegetable lomein, very nice flavors. Thank you to the lady who took my order for asking me if meat is okay in my hot and sour soup because I wouldn’t have guessed that. Highly recommend this place!
George & Son's Asian Cuisine
As a family we always go to George Yang's but we wanted to try George Son's we came here for the first time we like frankly everything is similar but I didn't like Crab puffs. The food is good not the best it's ok for once in a while. Prices are more in person than what they show online.
First time going in, & the whole experience was excellent. We were greeted at the door, serviced & checked on by the owner, & were respectfully bussed & serviced throughout our time here. We come from owning restaurants & I can say they hit all the check marks! The food is spectacular & tastes fresh & homemade! Thank you guys for the wonderful experience we will be back with friends!!
Yan's Chinese Food
This is a great little place. It looks run down but the staff and food let me look past it. I had the orange chicken combo. The chow mein was so delicious! I didn’t really get to try the orange chicken because it was too hot to eat. I was taking forever to cool off. I will definitely be back!
This is 7th Chinese spot I have tried in the Valley and it just doesn't hit like an NYC/CHICAGO Chinese joint. Ordered the General Tso chicken combo Portion was fair for the 12 dollar price, though, if you're used to regular Chinese spots overfilling the tray you're going to be dissapointed. The flavor was good but far different from what I'm used to, this almost seemed like sweet & sour mixed with Sriracha. Very light kick, predominantly sweet, however, not what I'm used to having as "General Tso" chicken. It also came with peppers, onions, and peas where I'm used to getting it with broccoli. The fried rice was disappointing, very bland and stale (almost like it wasn't cooked to completion), no veggies mixed in. The service was very fast and friendly, no complaints there. All in all this place is not worth traveling for but convenient if you're at the hospital across the street
Pad Thai Kitchen
The service was spectacular. They were so kind and very attentive! I ordered a meal for myself and for my daughter. The Thai iced tea was so good! The food was well prepared and the green curry was so good. My daughter had the spicy noodles. They were both good just very salty! I will give the restaurant another shot. Because everything else was so enjoyable.
I visited Pad Thai Kitchen on a Monday at around 8 pm. It is located in a strip mall off of Baseline Rd. As I entered, no one was there to seat me (not a big deal), so I walked up to the counter and ordered from there. I ordered the Pad Thai extra spicy with shrimp. After ordering the nice lady who took my order seated me and brought me a water. I received my Pad Thai about 10 minutes later. So I have mixed feelings about the Pad Thai here. The sauce seemed very Tomato based. It was almost like a mix between spaghetti and Pad Thai, which I wasn't a fan of, really, although it wasn't terrible. Now I like my food spicy and when I ordered extra spicy they surely made it extra spicy. I really wish restraunts would remove the crispy tail of the shrimp before they serve it. It makes it hard to eat without having to use your fingers. The Pad Thai came to about 22 dollars, which i thought at first was kind of pricy, but after eating for awhile I realized there was going to be a lot left over so no complaint about the price. The women who worked there were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy, and the restraunt seemed clean.
Que Sazon South American Cuisine & Ceviche Bar
Stopped by for dinner before the Dbacks vs Brewers game with a few friends. My dining experience here was out of this world. 1st quality food with world class customer service. This place is a real gem. The empanadas were perfectly balanced with flavor. The pork rice bowl was one of the best things I had ever eaten. Incredibly flavorful and so delicious. The tostones and tacos were exceptional. I highly recommend this spot. Also, I recommend getting a reservation. Take a few friends and try a little bit of everything. I look forward to returning..
What a fantastic place. Came here with a party of seven to celebrate a birthday. Sat outside around 6 PM on a Saturday evening. Weather was great, service and food were out of this world. We had both of the appetizers: the fried plantains and the yucca fritas. Both were outstanding. Great flavor and a wonderful chimichurri sauce. We also got a picture of sangria, which was not the best sangria I’ve ever had. I will say. So the drinks that we had were a little disappointing. In addition to the sangria people had Mojitos and a pisco sour. They were all fine, but not really tasty compared to other places that I’ve had. However, hold onto your hat because the food was absolutely incredible. We had the pork Tostones. Out of this world flavor all the way around. Other people had empanadas and the french fries covered in either pork or chicken. There were three ceviche dishes on the menu and we had each one at our table. Best ceviche I have ever had. So fresh, amazing flavor, a hint of heat, but not overpowering at all. Fantastic flavors of coconut, mango and more. We finished our meal with the two dessert options and enjoyed both very much. Will definitely put this place on our regular rotation of dining out.
Panda Garden
I’ve been going here for over 11 years now and it’s still the same lovely couple who own it and they work every day. The food is very good American Chinese food From the simple fried rice to their eggrolls, which I think are the best in az. The gang pang beef is amazing.
Love this place! After moving into a new house, this is now our local go-to for Chinese food! Their fried rice, chow mein, hot and sour soup are all good! Lemon chicken is my favorite! Husband likes their Kung Pao Chicken too. Wasn't too impressed with their sesame chicken, but i tried my daughter's orange chicken on one of our takeout nights and it was also really good! Owner is super nice, seems very hard working, and holds high standards for his food quality. Definitely recommend trying it!
Great Wok
We placed our to go order on a weekend and had it ready to pick up within the stated 20-minute time frame. We ordered the House Egg Foo Young, Tri- Star Mongolian (not pictured), and the Cantonese Lo Mein. The foo young was decent and flavorful. It had 4 large patties and a good amount of gravy on the side. It could have been a bit crisper, but not bad. The lo mein was mediocre. The portion size was huge with a lot of meat, but it lacked flavor and seasoning. The Tri-Star was.... SWEET. The description on the menu didn't indicate that it would be sweet, just that it was a house brown sauce, so we thought we'd give it a try. Unfortunately, it was so sweet that we couldn't taste anything in the dish and ended up throwing the whole item out. The service was your run of the mill Chinese spot - hurry you in and out, not overly nice but not rude. Overall, we'd probably try this place again, maybe checking out other dishes.
We love ❤️ Great Wok 🥡🥠 The food never disappoints and is always Hot & Fresh!! They're definitely an Ahwatukee gem 💎 and local favorite. We've been eating here for years, and it's our go to take out. Family owned and operated. Call in your order and help support local. The lunch specials are a deal. We always order extra to have leftovers. The Hot & Sour Soup 🍲 is the best!!
Phở Bowl Vietnamese Cuisine | 75th
Came here for lunch as I was craving a thai tea, which was pretty good, and it hit the spot. I also ordered a pork sandwich, which I honestly didn't like. It had a funny taste and it had some type of pickled vegetable that gave the sandwich a bad taste.I was really disappointed 😞. I would not try this sandwich again. I would go back to taste the pho and spring rolls, though. The sandwich looks really good, but my taste buds were not happy. Staff was not very welcoming, and service was a bit slow.
I’ve eaten here twice. The first time was much better than the second time. I called in my take out order and was quoted 10-15 mins. It took me 20 mins to get there and my food still wasn’t finished. The girl at the counter, that is handling food without her hair being pulled back was more interested in her phone and drinking her Red Bull than working. However the young man was busy taking orders and bussing tables I had ordered a shrimp fried rice- it only had 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire container. I also ordered a house special fried rice with chicken, beef and shrimp- it literally had ONE shrimp in the container. And I also ordered the appetizer sampler, and everything in that was good.
Long Wongs
$18...portion for 12 boneless wings some carrots and celery, this isnt a combo..with only one flavor as well.. Better option else where even at different "Long wongs"...extremely overpriced for portions..first and last $18 spent here..unfortunately.
Update ! Update Feb 10. The wings have shrank price has gone up and they are so small left hungry! Smaller then my straw ! First time trying salad and potato skins. The salad was fresh and with a big variety of veggies. The house ranch was great. The french fries tasty with a mix of seasoning. Wait time wasn't bad and food was worth it.
