Chinatown
This restaurant is a great place to go if you want to get Chinese food and save money doing so. I also love how the drink comes with the dinner combos. However, the first time I went there, I ordered the sesame chicken. It tasted good, but it was tough and dry, which offset the flavor. Though I would definitely recommend ordering their chicken and broccoli (it's absolutely delicious) or anything else that is stir-fried, since they're less likely to lose their plump, juicy texture.
We have gotten food from here twice in the last 2 weeks. Tonight we ordered the family dinner for 3. This might be the best value $$ in this town. It comes with General Tso Chicken, Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken (all with fried rice), Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, 6 cream cheese wonton, 3 egg rolls for $28 after tax. It is a lot of food! I personally don't like sweet and sour chicken so I think you can swap the entrées for an up charge (but we didn't). Aside from that the food is good. Some of the best Chinese takeout we have had in the past few years. I travel for a living and have had a lot of bad Chinese takeout. Our previous order we tried the House special Mei fun and chicken wings.
New Bei Jing Chinese restaurant
Great food and prices!! This is our go to for Chinese! She made my son’s 16th Birthday party a success! The hibachi is bomb.com!! We live in Pensacola, but come to town a few times a month and get this every visit! Best in town hands down!
The atmosphere is irrelevant. There's only a few booths but I don't eat there for the atmosphere. Their egg rolls are the best in town and so is their won ton soup. I usually get lo mein instead of fried rice. They are my go to Chinese take out place. Always hot and ready when I get there.
Ding How Chinese Buffet
I absolutely love ding how!! Kind of pricey for a family of 4, but we love going. It's become a regular thing, nearly once a month. The staff is nice, polite. They remember you, it's like family to me. Food is great. Kids get seafood (their buttery garlic shrimp) and I get my sweet/sour chicken.
They have a nice buffet at mealtimes. The staff are my favorite....so accommodating. I love eating here whenever I'm in the area.
New china
We moved here a year ago from North Alabama and had been 💯 totally spoiled on a New China there. Since we’ve moved here, we’ve tried at least 5 different Chinese takeout places and all were truly a disappointment (considering the New China back home had been a family favorite for years). We noticed that this place just opened beside where I get my nails done, I knew it was a sign from Jesus himself….. and they did not disappoint!! Their recipes are nearly spot on! We’ve had it 3 times in a week!
Wait time was a little long, food was not ready until 15-20 min after the estimated completion time but the food was SO good. Even warmed up the next day the food was delicious. Best I’ve had in a long time.
Top China
1 star is too much to give them. My wife picked up food on the way home and the food was absolutely horrible. The attitude of the young lady was even worse upon calling to complain. The rice smelled and looked old, and the honey chicken smelled horrible. They will never get another penny from me
This was my first experience with Top China restaurant. I did not know what to expect so I ordered two lunch entrees. They come in a what appears to be a small covered bowl. The food is cooked to order and is very hot in temperature. I was able to only eat the bourbon chicken. I have the teriyaki chicken for another meal. I did not know how the food would be...... I thought it was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. 09 August 2023. I failed to mention that while it comes in a small bowl, when I emptied it out onto a plate, it covered the entire full size dinner plate. I knew at that moment I would not be able to eat both bowls. I felt it was well worth the $6.95 I paid for lunch entree. I will be back to this restaurant for another delicious lunch. Please remember if you have to wait a while for your order, be patient it is being prepared freshly. 25 August 2023 I ate my to go lunch entree here at the restaurant. They have tables. I brought my own leak resistant paper plate with me. I ordered the L 4. Moo Goo Gai Pan. I had no idea what it was, but I enjoyed it very much. I took a photo. It looks darker than the it should be because I added two packs of soy sauce. I am okay with sodium chloride. I highly recommend this restaurant. 07 March 2024 I enjoyed lunch there this afternoon. I very much enjoy Moo Goo Gai Pan because of the delicious sauce and the fresh vegetables. The chicken is incredibly tender and moist. When you get it in a bowl, it looks like very little, but you see how it ends up on a 10.5-inch plate. I highly recommend it. I want to thank everyone who has viewed this review. I always speak from my heart and I always mean what I say. I will admit that I very much enjoy their steamed dumplings!! They are extremely delicious. 05 April 2025
East China
Ate here on Christmas night with some of my family (a party of 6) and it was incredibly busy. While we did have to wait a bit for our food (a party of 17 came in and we could hear several DoorDash orders arriving while we sat), our server attended to us calmly and kept his cool. My food was good and the broccoli was the perfect amount of firmness. Several people came in and complained about the wait and the restaurant staff maintained their calm and courteous demeanor despite it all. A thing to note is that we ordered water, soda, and lemonade — the lemonade came in a cup with ice, two of the sodas were canned, one was bottled, and all the water was bottled. Since this was my first time eating there, I’m not sure that is the usual practice. But you might check the price if you’re someone who orders water at restaurants to save money. Overall a good experience, and I would return to try it under calmer circumstances. (I had Szechuan pork)
Let me start off by saying that I’ve worked in restaurants so I understand when mistakes are made, however, being dismissive and rushing customers away is pathetic. I ordered honey chicken online (which was clearly on the digital receipt), and I was in a rush to get back to work so I didn’t realize she gave me orange chicken. I came back the next day to let her know since I was about to order again anyway. She kept telling me that I told her orange chicken. How could I have “told” you orange chicken when I ordered online. I’ll say that again. How could I have “told” you orange chicken when I ordered online? And when I explained to her that I couldn’t have folded her anything since my order was online, she dismissed and rushed the conversation.
China Chef
Great food! We picked this restaurant for take out because it is closest to our Cloverdale neighborhood. But, it is now our favorite Chinese place in Montgomery. All our 5 dishes were delicious. Beef with broccoli and beef with onion/peppers were some of the best in our lives There are very large dumplings in the pot sticker order. Their pot sticker sauces and stir fry sauces taste to me as if they are hone made...and great! We aren't from the south...so we think the filling in crab rangoon is too sweet...but, every restaurant in Montgomery we have tried serves them this way. I highly recommend this delightful family owned and run small business. We met three generations on our first visit. They are in a well lit strip mall. Give them a try. Our 3 dinners and 3 appetizers=$40.
They are friendly. They cooked the food as soon as I ordered so it was very hot and fresh. Fast service.i I ordered the kung pao chicken combo with white rice and. The Happy family combo with fried rice. Large serving was enough to feed 2 people. I also ordered an order of sweet donuts which were soft and fresh as well. Everything was perfect. I will go back.
China Sea Kitchen
Will not be dining here again. There was a bug in my sweet and sour sauce for the chicken. They only refunded me $1.
At one point I thought this was the best Chinese restaurant in town. The years haven't exactly been kind and business must be slowing down. The food, first and foremost, is still pretty good. The service is the standard brisk minimal interaction you expect from a takeout place. The location though is haggard, uninviting, and doesn't inspire confidence. They are takeout only, have no air conditioning, and old furniture and trash bag barriers at the register would scare away the faint of heart. I hate to see an old favorite losing their edge and I hope the family can turn it around. I will still stop by when I'm around. Quick lunch for 7.70
Hunan Garden Chinese Restaurant
Hunan Garden Chinese Restaurant offers an authentic Chinese experience dining experience with a diverse menu showcasing regional flavors. The ambiance is warm and inviting, complemented by attentive service. Highlights include the perfectly balanced Hot and Sour Soup, delicate dumplings, flavorful Kung Pao Chicken, and Two-item plates. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Chinese cuisine, promising a memorable and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
Clean jumbo SHRIMP!! Delicious. Nothing fancy about the building… but the Food! Wow. Better than the high $$ spots . I had shrimp with Chinese veggies. All were Fresh and cooked in the Wok perfectly! Oh and the hot n sour soup was good too!
Number One China
I used to leave near this place. Greatest Fast Chinese around.....BUT something has happened to the place. Stopped on 01/31/25. Got (4) different dishes. ONLY the fried dumplings were worth eating. Beef & Broccoli. Broccoli must have been boiled way to long, before they tried to cook it. Mongolian beef..well it had a few scraps of meet and a LOT of onions & red pepper paste....NOT GOOD. go to CHINA KING on Zelda road...way better food.
Picked this restaurant on a random whim and good thing I was there early, the surroundings look sketchy. Ordered through the phone and picked up in store no issues. Food is your generic Chinese fast food, don’t set your expectations too high or too low, it’s just right. The roast pork fried rice tastes similar to Filipino Tocino. Prices are relatively good.
Mr. Chen's Grocery & Restaurant
Good Friday,God's Friday…During the long vacation, we have to take care of the elderly and children. We cannot go to distant places for vacation. We come here every day. This is our home, our kitchen, fresh food, and cool summer. We all like it here. I highly recommend everyone to come and see it.
Curry chicken and Singapore rice noodles are slightly spicy and have a special aroma that we like. I highly recommend everyone to try it. It’s an unforgettable taste👅
Yeung's Kitchen
So to start this spot has been here and gone through some notable changes over the years. I have eaten here off and on for decades. The restaurant is small but functional with tables and a drive through. It's clean and you can call in orders or order online. The food is fine and my only real complaint is the level of interpretation each restaurant has of a recipe. The dishes are identical in name on the menu but vary in similarity to other restaurants in form. The general Tso's for example has no spice or chili flavor. Their menu shows a spicy symbol next to sesame chicken which is never spicy and surprisingly enough despite the symbol theirs isn't spicy either. The chow mein is not a fried noodle like many spots and the lo mein is more like a spaghetti noodle. While I feel like I might enjoy many of the dishes I also worry that I won't be getting what I'm signing to for when I order and that's concerning. It means the menu would require thorough exploration and understanding much more than the name of a dish you might have had before or how Google describes "Hunan chicken". Portions are enormous, value is great, people are pleasant, place is clean and orders take about 15 minutes. But it's not the place to try if you are craving a dish you haven't ordered here before because it might not be what you expected.
This has to be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken and beef were lightly fried. The whole meal tasted like it was cooked earlier today. The food was very hot and greasy because they recooked it in oil.
