It is difficult to find good quality Indian street food in Milwaukee. The food at Honest reminds me of my childhood growing up in India. With an extensive menu with food from all over India, there is something for everyone. Got the Katapa Sandwich and Chinese bhel. Huge portions but taste left us craving more. All around friendly reception and great service.

My wife and I just went to Honest Milwaukee for the first time and were absolutely blown away by the food - had to share immediately. This Bhaji Pav, which others had mentioned in their reviews, is one of the most flavor packed dishes I’ve had in my entire life. I’m honestly a little shook right now that I’ve never had this anywhere in my life. Everything looks to be vegetarian, we didn’t know this going in and frankly it didn’t matter. We left very satisfied. Full in fact, and even took home 1/2 of our Chilli Garlic Noodles which I CAN NOT WAIT to finish! I don’t know how long they’ve been there but I feel like I’ve just discovered gold and want to share it with my people. The flavors were off the chart. Can’t wait to try more items, everything I saw making its way onto peoples tables looked amazing. Samosas and mango lassi on point as well. I’m still drooling over here. 🤤

Pretty decent store, good space , nice racks and all Desi foods with liquor also available. Meat section also available for lamb/goat and everything halal. Clean and positive environment

The owners are very nice and cordial in terms of communication. They have fresh vegetables and their grocery/meat collection is good. But you need to be very careful while buying snacks and sweets as i have noticed this on multiple occasions and brought it to their notice in person as well that they have expired products on shelf. Once I accidently bought 2 expired snacks product (Bikali Bhunjia) in hurry and they took return for only one of it as it was unopened packet, but the one which I opened and realized bad smell they didn't return saying that its opened packet. I wouldn't have written this review, as the previous one was my mistake, considering i bought without checking the expiry date. But last week I had bought a Balaji Ganthia packet which i noticed didn't have any expiry date ( It seems to have been etched off), later when i came home and opened the packet, it was full of fungus and smelled funny(Picture attached). Now since i opened the packet hence no point taking it back to them for refund. Hence i am writing this review to bring to owner's attention to please work on getting rid of expired stock from your store, as people can fall sick eating expired products un-intentionally ( Not all people have time to check dates on the product they buy ). Appreciate your understanding and would be happy to revise the rating once remedy is implemented.

I ordered online. I ordered mac and cheese as well as pot stickers. The macc and cheese was a little cold but reheating was not a problem. The pot stickers however was one short. Having ordered online for delivery this was not an easy fix.

Placed a pick up for around 9:15 and I live 20 minutes away. Grab the food and find out that our marina sauce with our garlic bread only had enough to cover the bottom of its container. Like I understand portion control but like there was not even close to enough for 5 pieces of garlic bread in there. But also more importantly when I got home we realized that the chicken bacon Alfredo that we ordered didn’t have chicken on it. Like it’s in the name of the dish and y’all forgot the chicken, and a portion of that chicken costs $4.25. By the time we got home to eat it was 9:50 and there was nothing we could do about. Needless to say we were very disappointed, we love getting noodles but this was the first time we ordered from this location and it will definitely be the last seeing as this tends to be the norm for this location based off of reviews.

I'm not sure it's the most hygienic. I seen the woman who works there. Put ice in a tray with her bare hands. The place needs a new carpet and cleaning. The plastic and styrene plates didn't bother me after we started eating. Guess I rather know the plates and utensils are clean. Some of the food looked like it was under the heat lamps a long time. Boxes of items sitting in the open. The food tasted good. The atmosphere was small and cozy. Food was very reasonably priced. $50 for three adults 1 child. Lots of options sushi, salad bar. Not a lot of desert options. Overall if I knew we were going to end up going to places with buffets nearby. I would have chosen another place. We just found it on Google maps.

So when you go to a Chinese restaurant you expect you know chow mein noodles, chicken fried rice, white rice, some seafood stuff yes but when the whole restaurant and all the food that is there is 90% seafood you can’t eat it and you tell the lady that you can’t eat this food because you’re allergic to seafood you have to fight with her to get your money back And then has the balls to tell you well don’t eat off your son‘s plate dude do I wanna die? I don’t think so. Needless to say My Son had to pull over so he could throw up a little bit of seafood. He ate so apparently something was not right in that restaurant. Best of luck to whoever eats there because I will definitely not be going back.

Great Experience & Overall a 4 & 4 corner star, almost a full 5 star, we just chose a day where a big group comes once a month so not a big knock on what they did or could do better on, wide range of foods & very fresh & hot, strongly recommended this place if you like an Asian Buffet. I will go for dinner next time after trying the lunch buffet. Had pizza, fries, fish, wings, asian sweet & sour chicken, fried rice, pepper chicken w/ broccoli, crab Rangoon, eggrolls, ice cream, different cakes & brown’s. Beware & hopefully you don’t mind eating off styrofoam plates, and plastic silverware, The freshness makes up for that.

1st timer here. Walked in and the cashier takes my payment and hands me a styrofoam cup. Doesnt say anything. I told her Ive never been here before. She gets upset and points and says, "Its all help yourself." To which I told her, "I wasnt sure if you seat guest but I guess you just turn us loose. Thank you." The food was barely warm. Its made in bulk and sits in deep wells on that steam table. At least if they were in shallow dishes you'd know they make it fresh more often. The rangoon was old and chewy. All the sauces tasted the same. The worst thing they serve is the "Fried" Rice. That rice seemed like it never touched oil to fry. It was more like dehydrated rice they added water to and set it out. I guess I shouldnt have expected much once I saw stacks of Styrofoam plates, bowls as well as plastic utensils. This has to be the worst Chinese Buffet experience Ive ever had. I work nationwide and Ive been to places that, compared to this, this place shouldnt even be open. I came, I tried....NOT AGAIN.

Only thing worth coming here for is the lunch special. Other than that, it's pretty overpriced. The food is average at best. Sometimes the vegetables are not good and the onion/cabbage pieces are EXTREMELY large and nearly inedible. The beef is normally 90% just onions. Other times, it's much better. The fried chicken quality is just awful, stay away from that. Portions are great. Service could be better - you'll usually wait for a while to order and the employees will walk past you and ignore you regularly.

I've been a regular for about 6 months now and I have no other place I would go for it. I grew up in Chicago and I have been to many restaurants in my 50yr life, but I have never had a place that I couldn't replace, so for me to be this loyal to a restaurant and write a review, it's saying a lot for this restaurant. I don't claim to be a expert but I do have experience and I only had one other restaurant that I would say the same thing about. I highly recommend this establishment, the amount of excellent food for the great prices is why it stays busy. I'm telling all my coworkers and friends to go there and eat everything they can, it's worth it. God bless and enjoy every day.

Walked in a little skeptical because we were the only ones there. It was noon so early and just opened at 11:30. Glad we ventured in. This is a hidden secret. Sauce and flavoring SO good. Prices are fair atmosphere is really cute and crabby appropriate. Shared the king crab and #shrimp combo. DELICIOUS 😋 TRY IT!!👍🏼👍🏼 added garlic bread to soak up the juices. Get it!!! Sorry half eaten pics but couldn’t wait to dig in.

My husband took me here to eat because I wanted to try like last month sometime before Christmas . Now ik it's seafood but very expensive now each combo is well over $70 even appetizers pricey and I don't mind paying for good seafood but I got the combo that brought shrimp, lobster, crab like a seafood boil basically corn, potatoes, sausage, boiled egg and it was seasoned so much it took away from the actual taste of each taste of what the seafood supposed to taste like and over cooked my lobster was rubbery shrimp was good ..then mind you they put gratuity included in our bill to where she would get like $50 off that bill which i still gave her a $15 tip but it was just me and my husband that's it so I don't like how they included the tip at such a high percentage the waitress was okay but I personally would never go here again too expensive.... our check came out too $250 with $15 tip 2 combos 1 appetizer 1 bottle of corona and 1 glass of wine ...

Ok here we go... spoiler: this is a must visit for anyone on a budget! My husband and I visited here and we were pleasantly surprised. We've been back 3 times. The food is the typical plates you'd expect to find with a few gems in there. I actually came especially for the hot and sour soup which was great. Crab ragoons were perfectly crisp and fried rice was delicious. My husband actually got fried chicken wings in spicy chili flavor and said they were pretty good. We both thought it could have been spicier and told them on our next visit. Our food the 2nd time food was adjusted accordingly and was perfect! We always take out, they do have some seating inside but it's not a very ambient place. P.S. Coupons can also be found inside printed on takeout menus if spending 25 or more.

So good we ordered it at our house and it tastes like haven the orange chicken especially was the best the servisse was better then anyone I have ever met....

They need to get real folk/ spoons and plates. It feels weird eating with plastic plate and folk/spoons. Overall the food suck. They suck at cooking. Meats are too salty and the noodle are plain asf. Smh. People here seem like they don’t even want to work.

Great tasting Chinese food. Not everything needs to be an Asian fusion restaurant, and this place makes crave-worthy dishes. I ordered the Orange Chicken "dinner special" which for $12 came with large portions of Orange Chicken and your choice of fried rice style (pork for me) as well as either egg drop (my choice) or sweet and sour soup. I'll keep coming back.

Incredible Chinese Takeout! It’s hard to find a solid Chinese place in MKE that serves up boneless spare ribs, but this place does and they nail it! Fried rice, crab Rangoon, egg rolls are all yummy too. Highly recommended!
