Lin's Garden Chinese Restaurant
The food is super good, waited for an hour after calling in a pick up. I was told it’d cu e ready in 40-45 mins. It was an additional hour after the 45 mins. I really enjoy the food and love supporting small businesses, I wish they would have been up front about the actual time. There were about 8-10 others waiting for a long time, too.
This was one of the worst Chinese meals we've had in a long time. The beef & broccoli was terrible. The "beef" was some kind of mystery meat. The sweet and sour had so much breading one the little pieces of chicken and shrimp. My wife is Asian and we know good Asian food when we eat it and this was not it.
oriental express
I don’t usually leave reviews, I just take my loss and go about life, but this was just disgusting. (I enjoyed the rice!) Just went and got a 🌶️ General Taos combination plate. The sauce wasn’t spicy AT ALL! Once I finished the rice I tried a piece of the chicken. IT WAS CHEWY! The egg roll tasted like it was fried in some kind of chemical other than grease. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING & DISAPPOINTED!!! Not to mention this was my 1st Time Here!
I go here all the time on my lunch break. I’ve ordered steamed shrimp and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, chicken teriyaki appetizer, and crab rangoon. These menu items are so good that I don’t even need to try anything else.
Lin's Garden
My whole family LOVES the food from Lin's Garden. They will make it as spicy or mild as you desire! Just ask when ordering. We've had nearly every thing on the menu and order from Lin's 3-5 times a month. There are only two people working here and this place is POPULAR so patience is something that is helpful during their busy times. I am so thankful they are located in our town. This is a carry out only place!
2018: Best General Tso's in Southern WI {worth the drive}. Order extra spicy with a side of pepper sauce and eat it there or open it to avoid steaming the chicken to death. Staff is friendly and helpful and have been as long as I've know them (since 2005). Wish every place was like this one! 2024: Now the best I've ever had, I stopped ordering it when traveling because nothing has come close.
China King
Loved the beef with garlic sauce. Food was hot and fresh. Crisp veggies and delicious sauce. Large portions and fairly priced. So much better than the other local option for Chinese food.
Not good at all unfortunately. Plus the guy working was really rude. I’ll try the place on the other side of town next time!
China King Chinese Restaurant: Take Out
It was my first time there and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful with what to order. We tried the crab, cream cheese wontons and hot/spicy beef. The food exceeded our expectations.
Wow! Shrimp in the egg foo young was huge. The chicken fried rice was awsome too. It had plenty of chicken. In my personal opinion, it all needed m.s.g. I understand that other people wouldn't want it. I'd recommend this place. Can't wait to try another meal.
Chen's Buffet
We were very pleasantly surprised by Chen’s Buffet! The one thing was the price: $19 a plate after tax. A little much for us. However, the food was actually top notch. Maybe because we want at 4:30 on a Friday, but the food was all fresh, tasty, hot, and flavorful. It is the best American-Chinese buffet of its kind I’ve ever been to. Highlights included the spicy chicken stick, the beef and broccoli, the fresh sushi, and the Mongolian pork. The fresh steamed dumplings and custard bun were also unexpected as well as tasty. Not everything was my favorite, but nothing except the stale rice krispy treat was actually bad. If you’re looking for an American Chinese buffet you’re really not going to get any better in the area!
Monday lunch. Big, spacious, thoughtfully decorated dinning area. Food was average in taste and freshness compared other buffetts. The wasabii was fake... or imitation? I am not sure what it was... it was not wasabii. Soup was too salty... maybe sitting there too long? A bit higher in $$$ than their competitors. Maybe I will return on a weekend to see if there would be more choices. This buffett has a lot of potential--- convenient parking, convenient location, easy to locate. The inside is spacious and nice. I hope the owner puts some thoughts into buffett options and freshness. Bringhten up the inside a bit... it could be a great place!!
China Town Kitchen
Very disappointed in the food. Ordered a few things. Ordered beef with Chinese vegetables, mild spicy. Way to many onions. No Chinese vegetables other than carrots and pea pods and not spicy at all.
Delicious! Chicken Curry perfectly spiced. Chicken with Chinese veg and Shrimp Subgum (can't find Subgum everywhere.) Both were of those meals were great too! Delicious Crab Rangoons! Walked in to order and got there at just the right time before the dinner rush, food was ready in a few minutes. Extremely generous portions!
Ming's Garden
Food comes out fresh, hot, and delicious every time! it’s simple to order and not very expensive. the service is super friendly and you can tell they care about their customers :)
Came from out of town on Christmas Day for a quick sit down dinner between travelling, even though we were the only ones in the dining area whilst they got tens of online orders we still got excellent service and the food came out quickly despite the other orders also being made. The food itself is the best Chinese Takeout I have had in a long time, would definitely recommend and go again!
Chinatown Restaurant
Just ordered some fried rice. First time visiting. Food was good. Asian guy at counter was very friendly with a sense of humor which is always cool. Overall satisfied. Would try again.
Food wasn't awesome. I am writing this as I am up not feeling well. The man taking the order was making jokes about me buying for my wife, with some inappropriate comments. I can't see our family going back there anytime soon.
Golden Dragon Chinese Kitchen
The food is amazing once you let it cool off so hot but amazing flavors
Order here frequently. This time, my chicken lo mein had one sliver of chicken. That's it. I don't expect much, but going forward I'll order no protein and add my own.
Main Moon
Very nice neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Great portions for the money. Fairly standard, but VERY large menu. Lots to choose from. Staff was very helpful and patient with first-time customers. Will definitely go back for take our next time.
Food was ok….. but the buffet no longer exists and owners don’t care about the Google listing. When I asked about it they quickly and sharply responded. We went for it anyway. A lot like the trending mom and pops joints they have let the actual dining room turn into their family office/garage. The bathrooms were a little dirty and it was cluttered. As for the food it was a decent portion and tasted fine. Although my Hunan beef was 5 star spicy and I didn’t not ask for that. The beef was rubbery but tasted good. Kelly’s only complaint is she got shafted on the baby corn and peas pods. We may come again if we are in the area and need to… but nothing to write home about. Especially if you’re not from the area and you have other options for Chinese.
Moonstar Restaurant
We had a takeout order of crab rangoons, orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The crab rangoons were the best part of the meal, they had a ton of filling with a light crab flavor. The egg roll that came with the orange chicken was okay, but I've had better. Both of the chicken options were horrible though. The chicken itself was of low quality to begin with, but the way it was prepared made it 10 times worse. It had the texture of chicken that had been cooked a day or two ago then reheated for WAY TOO LONG in the MICROWAVE. The chicken was hard, translucent and dry. It cut the roof of my mouth and made my jaw ache from trying to chew it. My husband said the orange chicken was just as bad!
First time here, we have eaten at many Chinese restaurants in Stoughton and Madison and I give this place 5 stars. The food was phenomenal and we had great service. Food was hot and fresh; we dined in. Dining room was clean. The crab Rangoon were completely filled, not those dry ones that have barely any filling and are mostly wonton in all the corners. We won't go anywhere else now. My daughter who is pretty picky (she's 11) loved all of our food and that is a first.
