Xankia
Outstanding banh mi, spring rolls, and pho for decent prices. Service is fast. Recent expansion has more dining spaces as well as a karaoke/dance floor.
I had soup dinner and other Vietnamese food. The food was great, tables are wide enough, not crowded. Water was served with plastic glasses upon seated. Good atmosphere and background music.
Ya Ya China
They gave me old ass dried out chicken that clearly has been sitting out all day. And when I told them it was old they told me well I picked it up a hour later so that’s why it looks like this. This isn’t how hour old chicken looks. This looks like it’s been sitting under a warmer all day. I drove all the way to the other side of town for this food because I’ve been eating their food for years and I’m very disappointed. I spent over 50 dollars and the food taste crappy and old. Even the rice taste like it’s been sitting out all day. None of the food they gave me was fresh. When I called they told me to bring it back and they’ll add more sauce since I said it was dry. Will not be returning and will be disputing the charge with my bank.
Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Food Quality and Customer Service Dear YaYa Chinese Management, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience with your restaurant. I ordered food that arrived undercooked, with a completely doughy texture, and dry in taste. It was inedible and not what I expected after paying a $5 delivery fee. When I called customer service to request a pickup for the food and a refund, I was met with rudeness and ultimately hung up on. This level of service is unacceptable and has left me with a very negative impression of your establishment. I believe that serious changes need to be made at YaYa Chinese, as this experience reflects poorly on your commitment to quality and customer care. I hope to see a response regarding this matter & a full REFUND for the inconvenience for $46.94!!!!!
Chinese Chef 中餐廚師
Food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the combo plate with pepper steak, shrimp fried rice and chicken sticks which came out to $13. Generous portion; could easily feed 2 ppl. Customer service was excellent and everyone was so nice! I will definitely return again!
I went to Chinese Chef on 9/11. Mind you, I've been coming here since 1993. I ordered my usual, which is jumbo shrimp fried rice. This time was different. When I was getting ready to eat, I noticed the shrimp were smaller than usual. I immediately called them to have the issue resolved. I also sent pictures to show the size of the shrimp, and the worker agreed that they were not jumbo shrimp. She then offered me to come back to get my food remade, and I told her I lived far and wasn't coming back. She then offered me a "credit" for my food that would last for 3 months. So today, I went to order the food so I could receive the credit that was offered for their mistake. The worker told me I'll give you 15% off of your order😳. I said no, it was a full credit for your cooks' mistake. They literally argued with me about not giving me full credit. To make a long story short, I will never step foot into that place again as to how I was treated. I've spent way more than $39.00, and as many people that come there on a daily basis, keep that place in business, and they won't miss it. I'm very disappointed
Crafty Cow: Burgers & Fried Chicken | Tosa
I've been wanting to try the Thursday cheap date night for awhile as I've delivered Uber Eats orders from here before, but never tried it myself until now. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. We waited 10 minutes at the front for someone to come greet and seat us after having made a reservation and another 20 minutes just to get our appetizer. The food was all mediocre and completely unseasoned. We even had to salt the chips and fries ourselves because they were bland. And the date was not that "cheap" either as the total with tax and an average tip came out to over $60 with just the date night price and one drink each. The waitress was very friendly at least. I would not eat here again.
I’ve been here before in person and the first time was great. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. I saw they had a buy one get one free on the chicken sandwich, which was amazing BUT…. I was severely disappointed in what I got. It looked like they took one chicken breast sliced that one directly in half and shared it between both the sandwiches that we got. It’s like they were rationing lol. This was like when you see an advertisement for a McDonald’s big Mac and it looks amazing. Then you open the box and feel nothing but disappointment. Hopefully this was a one off, but if this is what the new normal is, I will definitely not be going back. Obviously, I ate what I got because it took about 40 minutes to get my food and it was the only thing I had all day so that just added to everything…
Tsaōcaa 朝茶 | East Side, Milwaukee
I love the boba here! Tastes just the right amount of sweetness & glad my bestie introduced me to it! Plus the place is so cute and has free WiFi! I also smell good fried chicken that my friend ordered, I didn’t order but definitely will next time!
If you're looking for that rumored extra crunchy Korean style chicken, this is it. With the Korean style dry seasoning flavors too. The catch is.... Eat it fresh. Nothing stays crunchy, although they do a real job venting the box to try. They have traditional Hong Kong style bubble waffles and some fun flavor options. Their bubble tea options are all customizable, and they will answer all questions to make it how you'd like. Service is great. Friendly, efficient. Atmosphere is a nice fun lunch date, definitely kid friendly. Cute seating area, great take out spot. Take out and walk around the east side and enjoy sights. Cute, quaint modern layout.
Grandma's Hands
Food is hit or miss. It’s good sometimes, and ok sometimes. Definitely not consistent. Go early if you do go. I notice when I order food later in the day the food always taste like their using old grease.
Went here on a Wednesday they have a .75 cent wing deal, I chose the Cajun and Jerk wings. They both were really really delicious, and the food was well cooked. Definitely will be coming back, the bowls are good too.
FreshFin | Milwaukee East Side
Worth even driving in the snow to pick up FreshFin! As a family, poke bowls is one of our favorite easy dinners, so we’re always trying new poke places. This one is sure to become a family regular. Fresh, great options, easy for everyone to find something they were happy with. We ordered and picked up, but I’ve included pictures of dine in space - super clean and cute. We had the cilantro chicken, mango tango and then created a custom bowl. The servings were generous enough we even have leftovers for lunch! The server was really quick and she was really helpful, even giving some suggestions that turned out fabulous. Give this place a try! Seems like a good regular staple go-to!
I’ve had numerous good experiences at Fresh Fin! The ingredients seem fresh, and the flavors are well balanced. I love that they offer so many options for customization while still having great signature bowls for when you just want to grab something delicious without overthinking it. The staff was friendly, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. Fresh Fin is the place to go! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Thai A Kitchen
My favorite take out in Milwaukee!!! When you walk in you’ll be addressed as “my friend” which is so warm and welcoming. The family that runs this establishment is top tier! Food is so good! I’ve tried a variety of dishes and have never been disappointed. I’d recommend this spot to anyone.
Visiting from Chicago, we were happy to find really great Thai food and reasonable prices! Thai A kitchen is run by very kind generous people. We will definitely come back next time we are in town!
Back Street BBQ Hot Pot
Back Street BBQ Hot Pot was the perfect spot for a cold day, and the experience did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. The décor was stylish and welcoming, creating a comfortable setting to enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast. The selection was impressive—fresh vegetables, a wide variety of meats, seafood, and pork, all high quality and plentiful. Every ingredient felt fresh, making for a flavorful and satisfying hot pot experience. The broth options complemented the ingredients well, and it was easy to customize the meal to our liking. The real highlight of the night, though, was Chloe. She was beyond patient, making sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask. She was constantly bringing out food, checking in to see if we needed anything, and clearing plates immediately, keeping the table clean and organized. Despite the busy atmosphere, she remained attentive, friendly, and efficient, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a great hot pot experience with excellent service, Back Street BBQ Hot Pot is definitely worth visiting. And if you’re lucky enough to have Chloe as your server, you’re in for top-tier service!
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the staff spoke both English and Mandarin fluently, which made communication so easy. They offer a wide variety of options for BBQ, including meat, seafood, and vegetables. It was so much fun cooking the food ourselves at the table. The self-serve sauce bar was a great touch, allowing us to customize flavors to our taste. Highly recommend this place for a fun and delicious dining experience!
Pimmy's Authentic Thai Cuisine
A no frills place and yes they have still in 2025 plastic plates and plastic silverware but they make up with it in their food quality. They are not shy on the price and have smaller portions then anywhere else but I gave them five stars because the food is really good and isn't that what we are all wondering when looking up restaurant reviews? I'm not from the area but whenever I am close to this place visiting we stop in and the food is usually always good.
Probably the best Asian food in Kenosha. It is authentic, delicious and not very expensive, especially when compared with other Asian cuisine in Kenosha. Their Thai iced tea is amazing and refreshing. The duck over rice is my go to, its salty and melts in your mouth, the satay chicken is what I get for an appetizer and their pad thai is also wonderful. If you get bothered by plastic utensils, paper plates and takeout boxes as food plates or having to order at the desk instead of being seated and served, then this place might not be for you. I would also say however that you if you think any of those things matter at all, you are a massive loser who needs to get a grip. The staff is wonderful, they are so bubbly and energetic, they will bring a smile to your face the minute you walk in. Love this place and the energy it has.
Singha Thai Restaurant
A family favorite for DECADES! The Pad Thai recipe is absolute PERFECTION! Crab Puffs are the greatest "rangoon" you will ever eat. Racha chicken breast comes slathered in sauce but is still crunchy! What kind of sorcery is that? Once inside, you no longer feel any "strip mall" vibe. An Asian jungle oasis awaits you! Service is always expedient and accomodating. Dining in, I feel, gets you even MORE food, and the portions are already gigantic. A family of 3 or 4 could likely dine on a single dish. Not joking! There is ALWAYS a congregation in the restaurant of family/friends. It brings a special kind of vibe when there's ownership family present & eating the same meals they serve to the public. I appreciate this presence! Dining room always seems to have plenty of available seating and theres a steady flow of pickup orders (literally only 1-3 minutes between pickups during our hour dining on a Thursday evening). I overheard a neighboring table being concerned about an onion allergy. The server was very accommodating and questioned the kitchen for its presence in sauces and dishes. I truly hope this establishment outlasts my lifetime. I would hate to try and find a replacement, as I've TRIED to find Thai food as appealing to me, but it ALL has fallen short.
I ordered here through DoorDash and loved it. I tried a handful of appetizers: crab puffs, Thai egg rolls, shrimp rolls, and the keo Tod. All were delicious and perfectly fried. For entrees, I got Thai fried rice and pad Thai.
Cantonese House Chinese Restaurant
A quaint little gem tucked away in Union Grove! If you are looking for a great Chinese food experience then look no further! A definite must when passing tru town! The owner was very friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic! Great portion sizes and appearance. Highly recommend!!
I rarely eat Chinese as I'm just not a big fan (not my go to food) so when I was craving it this weekend, my daughter and I ordered from here. I love sweet and sour chicken and most Chinese places do not put veggies or pineapple or anything in their sweet and sour sauces anymore. Cantonese House had pineapple, peppers, and onion in the sauce. It was so good. My daughter got the spicy lo-mein and she enjoyed it, but will get hotter next time ;) I also ordered an egg roll and Teriyaki Chicken and both were fantastic. I'm picky about my egg rolls and the egg roll was delicious! Will be eating here again.
