Hong's Chinese Dumplings
I love Hong's Dumplings so much. She is open in January 2025 from 11am-7pm on Saturdays. I hope she continues to have hours throughout the year. I love the thick, chewy dough and delicious filling. The fried rice, cold sesame noodles, and scallion pancakes are delish too. I hope this recent review helps her get some good winter business!
This spot has earned its many awards for a good reason—it’s an absolute gem for authentic, delicious dumplings. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the handmade dumpling shells are a textural delight, unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. If you’re on the hunt for truly outstanding dumplings, look no further. While the menu is small, it’s thoughtfully curated, and you genuinely can’t go wrong with any choice—every flavor shines in its own way. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to the charm of this cozy, hole-in-the-wall spot. For those who value authenticity and flavor, this is a must-try.
Great Wall
We have our usual Chinese place, but we thought we'd give this one a try because it was conveniently on our way home from a service. I ordered the sezchuan tofu. My husband got vegetable chow mein and we also got a side of vegetable fried rice. The sezchuan tofu was probably the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. It wasn't too spicy to eat but had enough kick to make my sinuses clear. The fried rice was too sticky and didn't seem fried. It was lacking in seasoning and flavor but the vegetables in it were big and chunky. My husband's chow mein looked great but lacked sauce. It was all fresh. I'll def be back for the tofu dish.
Absolutely the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Customer service was great not fond about the eight or nine year old, who took my order but my chicken, being bloody and shrimp roll tasting stale dine it for me they told me to come back and get my chicken re-cooked. I don’t even want it now they will never get my money again. Very good people. Customer service was even great, but they will never get my money again. It’s
China Garden
Best Chinese food around. We travel 20-30 minutes for it.
I love Chinese lunch specials! Big fan of lunch under $10! I like that my sesame chicken lunch combo was hot, crispy, and spicy! I can't tell you how often I visit other towns and their Chinese doesn't hit as nice as this!
Charming-Thai Restaurant Burlington
We love Charming-Thai for their authentic and delicious Thai food and hospitality. The food comes out fast, is hot, and homemade. And honestly, I don’t understand why the locals haven’t discovered this hidden gem in our midst. So do yourself a favor and try it out before it disappears like so many of our local businesses that don’t get the love they deserve. Five Stars!
Good food, this new ownership offers more variety of dishes, like sushi and Thai food. The owners were very welcoming and attentive. Definitely, I will be back.
Beijing Garden
First time here and last. The food did taste pretty well but the meat to vegetable ratio. 90% vegetables and 10% meat. Very disappointing. I ordered Mongolian beef and crab Rangoon all for 19 bucks. Ridiculous! The one picture shows how much meat was in the container and then after all the meat was eaten I compared the container with the amount of vegetables. If you want to sell vegetables that’s fine. Just don’t rob people.
We just placed an order tonight. It was our first time ordering from here. Customer service is great, prices are great and the food was SO good! We have PLENTY leftovers for our entire family. The curry over rice and the moo shu chicken was 🤌🔥.
Kira Asian Bistro
This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, served steaming hot and spicy enough for our tastes. The service was good and the atmosphere fine. We had a Hunan beef and shrimp dish (Human Triple Delight) and chicken yaki udon with green tea. For my part, I enjoyed these Japanese noodles; the veggies were crisp and tasty. Portions were adequate and seating comfortable. For dessert, we shared a fried cheesecake which was a novelty for us. It too was excellent. The final bill was very reasonable. Parking space is more than adequate. We’ll definitely go back. One suggestion to the owners: please include one or two more choices of hot tea. Green tea was fine; a choice of Oolong and one more would be nice. Thanks!
Food was good and served fast. Everything was good! With lots to take home.
Kum Fong
Unsuspecting gem. Ordered here on my way through to Burlington resigning myself to accept mediocre Chinese takeout. I got home and reached in the bag to find FRESH CRISPY NOODLES!! I laughed at myself for being that excited over it, but you never see this anymore. I loath the baggies of dry crackers most places dole out these days. Once I had gotten over how crispy and tasty these noodles were in the house-made duck sauce (!) I opened my box to find a glorious looking general tso chicken combo with a fluffy pillow of perfect pork fried rice and springy steamed broccoli with the perfect amount of bite to it. This is a good Chinese restaurant. They obviously care about the quality of their food. I haven't had a Chinese takeout lunch like this in a long while and I shall return.
Pork with vegetables. I purposely ask for extra vegetables fyi. This place is our go to always!!! Great quality. I love you can choose what type of rice you want. Rice with egg is our favorite.
South Wah Chinese Restaurant
Ordered the lunch special to go. Generous portions and pretty tasty. Was not a fan of the pork fried rice, but it was accidentally added instead of the white rice I asked for. No big deal, mistakes happen. Seems like a great family that runs the restaurant. Will be back next time I’m in the area.
This food is so nasty I just got chicken rice with wings all this rice born
Lung Wah Restaurant
I have to say, for a while I was concerned about my Lung Wah, I thought they were slipping but oh boy was I wrong. Not only have they come back strong for me but they're food tastes fresher. I am blown away by the taste of every dish. The best pork fried rice by far, the best egg foo young, the best and the biggest egg rolls around. The food is delicious. AND they give you complimentary tea or lemonade and sweet donuts for large orders. They don't deliver but I believe that makes the drive that much more important.
The wonton soup had no flavor and the broth tasted like oil. The pan fried dumplings had no flavor or seasoning. The chicken fried rice used dark chicken meat and there was a ton of fat!
House of Tang
Definitely worth it. It was delicious and hot and made to order which I loved a lot. The woman at counter was very nice to give me two hot oils. We ordered the Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, house special lo mien and chicken wings.. delicious
Perfect curry, right amount of spice and tons of flavor. The ribs were better than a BBQ joint, juicy teriyaki chicken, crab Rangoon had just the right amount of crunch and filling. Highly recommend!
Sichuan Gourmet Burlington
Very good option for spicy Chinese food. They do have Chinese American items for those who want that but I came for Sichuan dishes and they were good and tasty. There is a lunch specials menu but we supplemented with a couple of entrees and happy we did. Service is very good and price is reasonable. Would come again.
Sad but pretty disappointing food. There was no taste in the food. The dishes when they arrived looked good but when you eat it you realize it so bland. The spring rolls batter didn’t taste very fresh. The Ma Po Tofu was so disappointing. It’s my favorite thing and they ruined it. The vegetable fried rice was another disappointment. My husband said the Dan Dan noodle was the only one which was average. The chicken with cabbage was stinking. The service is fast and it’s a busy place. They don’t have reservations and you might have to wait for a while during weekends to get a table.
Peking House
Ok y'all. Idk what kinda voodoo y'all doing.... But WE are hooked!!!! You guys.... This place is off the chain. We got Walnut chicken, honey chicken, beef lo mein, house fried rice, crab wonton and wonton soup... NOT ONE ITEM WAS BAD. Idk what y'all put in that Walnut chicken, but I think my mouth had an org****. I kid u not 😂. The honey chicken was so soft n tender. The crap wonton is mouth watering. We are truck drivers n GREAT food is really appreciated!!!!
They have a great lunch deal. Our food came out quickly and was a great portion. It's very easy and casual.
