I'm a long-time fan of this restaurant, and I've never been disappointed. As soon as you place your order, they start making it, and the turnaround is always quick. The food is consistently tasty, with standouts like the pineapple chicken, beef and broccoli, and steak on a stick.

Went back to this place because they had previously provided delicious meals. Ordered chicken w/black bean sauce and shrimp with cashews. What we GOT was shrimp w/black bean sauce and the shrimp with cashews. If they can't get the order correct, I see little point in returning. The food was good but it was the WRONG FOOD!

One of the best Chinese buffet restaurants! Huge selection to choose from, including Sushi. I enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. .... On a side note, the restaurant was very clean. Employees were very thorough and took extra measures to sanitize all surfaces. If they werent waiting tables, they were cleaning. Definitely try out this restaurant!

TL/DR: Amazing. Just go! Do it!! Fresh food & friendly service. My grandparents have been raving about this Chinese buffet since i got into town here and we finally had the time to stop in and get a bite from quote my grandma's "favorite restaurant". When we showed up we where warmly welcomed and seated. When getting sat my grandparents got choosey and asked for a favorite booth which was available and too no issue. I joked on how cute my grandparents where. Friday night they had plenty of seating available for us. As we sat they took our drink order and before we had returned with our first plates drinks popped up on our tables. The refreshments where crisp and ice cold. The wait staff diligent in their floor duties refilling drinks and clearing plates before you get back from second trips. BTW ... The forks in ya napkin 😂🙌🍴 I was silly looking around a minute for one. The food was so fresh! Everything I had tasted fresh. Usually at buffet places you'll get a weird grease vibe from the dishes overall after eating. Not here at Golden China Buffet!! The green beans so yummy. I probably ate my weight in them. The dishes where flavorful. Distinctively different as it should be, but rarely get at buffets. Sushie was delicious and a beautiful variety displayed. I tried and dabbled many dishes I normally wouldn't and was pleasantly surprised with each of them. Jalapenos in the spicy dishes packed a crawling heat that only vanilla ice cream and banana pudding could help. So delish!! Highly recommend it. You'll enjoy it. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy more. What they lack in atmosphere they make up for in food my Gramps said as we where all quietly munching away. But I thought the chandelier and lighting was very pretty and I found my glaze getting lost to the blue and sparkle as I mindlessly shoveled food in. Oh, and Be sure to peep their Betta fish sushie behind the counter. He's beautiful. 🙌😍🐠

I ordered online, it was simple. We were already out and about, so we stopped there about 15 minutes before the food was supposed to be ready. They were just getting done with it. Very fast service. Their inside has only a few tables, so it wouldn't accommodate for groups. Best sweet and sour chicken around. Perfectly fried, fluffy and tender. Their crab cheese wong tongs were really good too. They are located off hwy 52 (foxbank area)next to Domino's, across the street from Parker's gas station. I would recommend their take out to anyone!!!

Been ordering here for years and always great food! Love the convenience and the quality!

I came here ten years ago after my wife and i moved into the area and the food was so expensive we didnt return until now. Today, My General Tso chicken def had parts in it that were NOT chicken or were extremely outdated. I've never experienced spitting out Chinese food in all of my life it was so disgusting. Disappointed. This reaffirmed that not eating here was a good decision and for a place that automatically adds a convenience fee and tries to tack on an automatic tip for online orders they need to do better (see other reviews). It's sad there isn't a good Chinese restaurant in the inwood Charlestown area but there's not. Imo, save your time and money.

Zero atmosphere. Horrible food that tasted like it was made last week and reheated in a microwave. If you call them and ask for anything, they will hang up on you, so you have to go in. It used to be better. Idk what happened. The egg drop soup was good, though. Chips were stale. Rice was made in old oil and I don't think that was chicken.

The chicken wings are perfect even when ordered in a large quantity, the fried rice is very close in quality to West Coast Chinese restaurants, the boneless spare ribs are excellent.

The food was very bland, absolutely no flavor. Not even the fried rice... 😫😫

We don't have Chinese food often so it's a treat when we do have it. This is the ONLY place we eat from. Hands down the best food. It's not greasy and everything always tastes fresh. The delivery driver is always amazing. Seriously even my kiddos love the food! love love love this place!

All the party trays were super hot and fresh. Only one complaint and that was the paper they put on the bottom of the sweet and sour chicken and the egg rolls stuck to them and wouldn’t come off so I lost 1 tray of sweet and sour chicken and 7 egg rolls. I talked with them and they said they would make it right. I would be able to receive the 1 tray of sweet and sour chicken and 7 egg rolls on my next order.

Looking at the other reviews, I was very hesitant to order from here but went through with it. The food has always been tasty and I haven’t had any issues with the women working at the front counter. I don’t think most people understand there’s a language barrier and mannerisms will differ from what the regular customer service they may be used to. Overall, I’ve ordered from here numerous times and never had issues with the food or service. Atmosphere? It’s an Asian takeout spot. You’re not there to sit down and eat lol. That said, it was clean and your basic run-of-the-mill setup you see at most Asian takeout spots.

The woman who works there is very rude and the food has declined greatly. The wins that I purchased were burned

I like the plain lo mein.. but I ordered shrimp and broccoli, shrimp smelled rotten, called them the guy over talked me saying it’s good ok thank you bye I’m busy! This is not the first time this has happened

Based on my experience I’ve always had really good experience as far as the food but my only complaint would be cashier person that takes my order; he seems rude. I get the crispy honey chicken and it’s really good when it’s super fresh. Lunch special can’t beat it.

I wanted this to be amazing, but was a bit let down. The sauce was thin and wasn’t like we are used to or were looking forward to. When I crave something I want it to be satisfying. The sesame chicken was orange, which was different but tasted ok, lacked seasoning. The food overall was lacking flavor and was a bit underwhelming. The egg roll was not very good, ate only a couple bites. The fortune cookie was stale. For a place that could really do amazing business in the center of Nexton, it left us disappointed.

Always made to order!!! Your usual Chinese food that comes out so hot you have to give it a couple minutes to cool off. Flavors are good and it is NOT scooped out of a big pan and served at room temperature. This is my go-to for lunch carry out!

Solid experience at this location, the food is priced pretty good considering the portions. General Tso's Chicken had a lot of sauce and good flavor. Easy pickup process and friendly service. Would order from again in the future

This unpretentious strip mall location serves up some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. My chicken and broccoli was prepared to order and cooked to perfection in just a few minutes. The sauce is just the right texture and tastes like real Chinese food. No fake paper lanterns or recordings of movie themes played on the erhu, just a really good lunch, served with a smile.

I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. The meat tasted frozen, old, and was super fatty. I ordered myself general tso's chicken with fried rice and I couldn't even eat much it was so bad. Ordered my husband peppered steak with beef lo mein and he got sick from it. The steamed dumplings and egg rolls were okay but nothing great.

Absolutely no heat in the restaurant. I asked and was told they don't believe in having heat. No gloves or hair nets. The restaurant was completely filthy. The appearance and smell was not good. The shrimp toast was very old and disgusting. I will never eat here again. I recommend Asian Garden in Martinsburg. A 1000× better than New China.
