I recently dined at this Chinese restaurant and had a fantastic experience - with one notable exception. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and expertly prepared. The standout was definitely the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce- spicy, savory, and utterly addictive. The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly, and attentive. However, there was one aspect of our dining experience that left a sour taste - the dining area's organization. Unfortunately, the restaurant had boxes of supplies stacked haphazardly throughout the dining area, which detracted from the overall ambiance. It was a bit off-putting to see stacks of supplies, a vacuum cleaner next to our table, and a cluttered office table close by our dinner. Despite this minor complaint, I would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant for the quality of their food and service. Next time, I'll definitely opt for takeout to enjoy their delicious cuisine in the comfort of my own home - minus the cluttered dining area! 😊

Went here for lunch on a Monday. Place was not too busy, we were able to get a seat right away. So this place is quite hidden, it's in the back lot from an entrance to a small business looking building, so if it's your first time trying to look for this spot, you might miss the turn into it. Once you found it, then you'll know, and there's plenty of parking spaces here! This is your no BS Chinese restaurant. Food is good quality, they come quick and hot, price is very reasonable and portion size is also reasonable. They have lunch specials that include soup, egg roll, a choice of white or fried rice and one entree. For dinner they have a per person combo as well that includes the soup and appetizers as well I think. To double check, see the updated menu that I posted on this review. It's the most up to date menu and prices. We ordered the sizzling rice soup, triple fragrance, and general tso chicken. They were all good, the general tso is the standout on this meal and the fried rice. We'll come back and try some other dishes next time!

Very disappointed with google reviews. Came with a group of 4 and only 1 person enjoyed their noodle soup, and when I say enjoyed, that’s a 5/10 rating. Other reviews were 1/10, 3/10, and 4/10. The wontons all had shrimp in them, which was unexpected. One from our party dislikes shrimp and wouldn’t have ordered if they had known there was shrimp in the dish. Everyone enjoyed the beef chow fun, giving it a 7-8/10. We are not super picky eaters, and have never come to a restaurant and had a bad meal. This was a first. I think they put MSG in the food because my boyfriend gets a bad reaction to MSG, and the only other time this has happened was at PF Changs. Service was good but it doesn’t make up for the taste of the food. Would not return.

The brisket/wonton noodle soup is incredible. Super tender beef and the house made wontons are top tier. Beef noodle soup is my death row meal and these guys did a really nice version. The spicy dumplings were also super tasty and the prices here are very reasonable. Will be back often.

One of my favorite spots in the u district!! Came in for some beef brisket chow fun on a cold wet day. It was so delicious and hearty! The staff were also so super kind and friendly. Would recommend if you’re craving a warm pastry or a good meal (also the prices are so reasonable for Seattle šŸ˜„)

The BEST value for your money on the ave. In a world of tiny $18 entrees, Mee Sum offers extremely affordable options, with most standard dishes ranging from $13-14. Additionally, the portion sizes are gigantic. You are paying a low price for a massive amount of food. Every time I've eaten here I was staggered by the volume provided. Today, I paid $13, and was given a large, heaping plate of stir-fried noodles. They were tasty, and had a good amount of meat & veggies. The boba is pretty good as well. The atmosphere is chill and a good place to relax. Free Wi-Fi as well. Staff is always nice and service is quick.

Qing Shu Spicy Hot Pot é’č”¬éŗ»č¾£ēƒ« 0

Qingshu Hot Pot is a malatang - ā€œyou pay for what you eatā€ - style restaurant. You grab a plate and tongs, select your ingredients for your hotpot soup, and the staff weigh your ingredients to determine the price. The base price is $14.99 / 1lb and the minimum weight you can get is 0.8 lb. They had a decent variety of ingredients spanning from vegetables, noodles, protein, and seafood. Some of the ingredients had labels (the meats and several of the seafood options) but some others did not, so as long as you’re familiar with what malatang restaurants generally serve, then picking the right ingredients that suite your palate shouldn’t be too difficult. Hopefully as the restaurant gains more recognition, the ingredient variety can expand. One of the favorite toppings was the mochi fish cake (tastes nothing special but had a unique texture) and the lobster ball (fishball filled with lobster flavored roe). Broth selection was vast with a whopping 9 different broths to choose from. After paying for the meal, the staff cooks your ingredients with your chosen broth and they bring your bowl to you. Mid-meal, the staff brought me the noodles they forgot to put into my soup and they were very apologetic about it. Funnily enough, I didn’t even notice they forgot my noodles but seeing how quick they were to address the mistake shows how much they put in towards giving their customers the best service. Overall, my experience visiting Qingshu Hot Pot was a good one. I recommend people to visit here! :)

Both me and my friend liked it more than YGF and we talked about coming here but we both got food poisoned. She had diarrhea for two days and I also had diarrhea but I puked too and felt nauseous for a long time. After getting food poisoned, my immune system got weak and I caught the flu.

Overall Rating - 8/10 šŸœFood - 8/10 The food is all very good, nothing life changing, but very solid and good. I can’t think of anything bad to say about the food. I have been coming here for a long time and there are a few things specific I would come for, the Dan Dan Noodles and the Pepper Chicken or Tofu. The sesame chicken is also quite good as the pieces are smaller so you don’t have to deal with these giant pieces, I personally love the smaller pieces. šŸ‘©ā€šŸ¦¼ā€āž”ļøAccessibility 8/10 It is quite accessible, the restaurant is all ground level, there is a curb to get up to the restaurant but I think there is a ramp. The parking is also right in front. There is no loud music so it is quite calm, there is some yelling from the kitchen but that is all quite normal lol. šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³Service 9/10 The service is fantastic, the food comes out instantly. The staff is very kind and attentive. šŸ½ļøAmbiance 7/10 As mentioned above there is no music so it is a little quiet, it may be awkward for some but personally it is fine. šŸš—Parking 8/10 There is parking right in front, it is a little tight, but right it free and right in front so it is worth it. šŸ’µPrice 8/10 Very fairly priced!

Spicy pepper chicken not so spicy but good, 8/10 Scallion pancake was ok, 2/10 but the restaurant owner tried it and said it was traditional from chengdu and very good. Service was 10/10 and the person that waited on us said come back for the hot pot.

When you walk in you will see 4 large tables and a couple of friendly and welcoming servers. The 2 of us got there around 1 p.m. on a Sunday and were seated quickly. Overall, we paid about $55 (w/tax) for 3 dishes with enough for leftovers the next day. We got the pork belly fried rice, spicy fried pork, and green beans with eggplant and everything was so homey and tasted so good. I found my new fried rice spot and since they were out of intestine, we will have to be back to try that!

Came here with a friend, extremely friendly and personal service from the owner/chef/waitress all-in-one. The food is very authentic and reasonably priced with large portions. As with other comments, the outside is a little suspect, but you can hardly tell while you are in the restaurant.

Absolutely Delicious! You order using your phone which i personally loved as im introverted. Each table has its own QR code so the waitress knows where the order goes. The atmosphere was light and laid back. The fried sticky rice came out warm. Never had a treat so yummy! I ate a few before trying the soup and i ate them throughout my meal to get a break from the spice. The Spicy Chicken noodles were amazing i got the rice noodles as i cant have gluten. (Full disclosure i didnt ASK if it was actually gluten free, i just assumed. Im not Celiac just a health condition that makes me limit dairy and gluten.) i would ask if you want to know for sure! A bit a drive for me to get there but will def be returning again ā˜ŗļøšŸ¤—

The best authentic Chinese restaurant in U district. I usually order their one person hot pot with rice — it is to die for. And now they have lunch menu offer which starts at 8.99usd per person. What a steal! Today’s choice — succulent and tasty kungpao chicken. Brings me back to China!

My relatives came all the way from Taiwan, and I brought them here for a special meal — and wow, what a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone left full and happy. It truly made me feel proud to share this place with them. The service was amazing — our server was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive the whole time. We felt genuinely welcomed. The only small issue was that parking was a bit of a walk, but honestly, the overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommend!

This hidden gem near the University of Washington delivers an authentic taste of Xi’an, a city in China known for its rich culinary traditions. From hearty lamb broth soup to perfectly grilled barbecue skewers, this spot captures the essence of Xi’an street food in every bite. Ambiance: 5/5 A casual yet vibrant vibe with lots of students dining in, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Authenticity: 5/5 The flavors are truly authentic. The standout dish is the famous lamb broth soup paired with ā€œmoā€ bread — a traditional Xi’an specialty. Flavor: 5/5 The lamb soup is rich and flavorful, while the skewers are perfectly seasoned and grilled. Their noodle dishes are also a must-try, with bold and satisfying flavors. Cost: 5/5 Very affordable, especially considering the generous portions and high-quality ingredients. A great value for students and food lovers alike. Service: 5/5 Quick, friendly, and attentive service that made the experience even better. Final Thoughts: This place offers an authentic culinary journey to Xi’an right in the heart of Seattle. I’ll definitely be coming back and becoming a regular. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for flavorful and affordable Chinese cuisine.

Very delicious Chinese street food and drinks! I like the duck products here. Take-outs are packaged with beautiful paper bags. Clean and friendly environment.

The jianbing was prepared authentically with a perfectly crispy exterior and a soft, layered interior that created a wonderful texture in every bite. The fresh fillings, paired with a lot of protein choice, delivered an explosion of flavor that kept me coming back for more.

We tried several dishes at Dough Zone, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Sweet & Sour Cucumber was hands down my favorite—crunchy, fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. The Vegetable Potstickers were okay, not the standout of the evening but still decent. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were perfectly steamed and had a great balance of flavor. I also loved the Green Onion Pancake—crispy, flaky, and delicious. We ended our dinner with the Dan Dan Noodles, which were absolutely perfect—warm, comforting, and flavorful, tying the whole experience together beautifully. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed due to an event at the convention center, the food was impressively fresh and flavorful. The service was fast, the staff was polite and attentive, and the prices were super reasonable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

A classic Seattle meal. I’ve been to both this location and international district, they are consistently and delicious every time. When we walked in it was super busy (a convention happening across the street) we were told it would be about 10 minutes before we were seated but it was maybe 5. Our food came quickly, staff were friendly and helpful. Even talked us into dessert! All of their dumplings are amazing but the soup dumplings (served in a steamer basket) are definitely a favorite. The selection of teas is also worth a try, they are yummy and satisfying with or without a big meal.

I came here for a Filipino-style Lechon and was not disappointed! The lechon was crispy and even though I ordered just half of a pig, it was still more than enough for a party of 30 people. I had no problems with communication or picking up the order. The deposit for the lechon was cash-only, and for $10 extra, they will chop it for you. I would consider them again for any future events. Thank you!

They only accept cash but their food is amazing. Also, it was really cheap wich I loved!
