Hidden gem inside the Angel Of The Winds Casino.

A small place with delicious food and a friendly cashier. The matcha donuts are my all time favorite.

This place has really really nice people who helped take my order. The cook let me try a homemade bun they make from scratch. The food was amazing and the portion sizes are insane for the price it was. Will definitely be going again and telling people about it.

A MUST SEE! I passed a sign for this yesterday and thought "ooh, I should try it". Today for mothers day we did. AWESOME DECISION! The staff is SO kind and welcoming. The (what I assume is) owner's daughter is super adorable and very professional! The owner was even kind enough to give my mom a fresh flower for mothers day! And the food? Fantastic. We've been looking for an authentic Chinese spot in Olympia and THIS is it. Super yummy, generous portions, and for a reasonable price. We had the orange chicken, mongolian beef, and chicken lo mein, and the lunch specials even include soup. When it came to our table all of our food was hot and freshly made! 100% we will be back.

Mama Gao's food truly stands out for its authenticity and flavor. Each dish takes me back to the familiar and comforting tastes of my childhood, reminding me of the meals my mother used to cook.

One of the best dumplings I've ever had it.

Real Szechuan foods - delicious but very hot and spicy. If you don't want too spicy, ask them less pepper. The place is pretty clean but little noisy. I ordered boiled spicy fish fillets and spicy crisp pork tripe. Both are like 2-3 serving size.

Love the stir-fried beef, so tender and flavorful. The cilantro really adds extra fragrance to the dish, it’s a bit spicy to me but still good. Cauliflower is also tasty, make sure to stir a bit so every piece is fully cooked. The jelly with brown sugar sauce is a perfect ending for our meal, it’s not too sweet and erase the spiciness in my mouth. Although I wish it could be slightly icy.

Enjoyed everything we tried. Next time want to try the other hot dishes. Staff was very kind. I do wish there were more descriptions for the other dishes. When we saw the dishes on other tables we were so intrigued to try something different. Next time:)

I hade a foodie Griggs that I do hot pot with all of the time. This one makes the top ten. But they should give options to customers for spice levels. I like spicy but not endnotes I can't taste the actual food and I'm sweating profusely. But still good food. Service was great and the food came pretty quick.

I wouldn’t say I’m a dim sum expert, but I can definitely say I’ve had better. Food is hit or miss, nothing really in between. Menu items are limited. Service is fine.

The roasted duck I got from the store is gross. I normally buy from the king BBQ. Just being lazy and go to them because it's closer. I'm pretty sure this one is not made the same day. It's sooo greasy. There is a thick layer of fat underneath the skin and the skin is not crispy at all like from other stores. ... And it's more expensive. Do not recommend.

So glad I finally went! I checked out the vegetarian and vegan options, I have been missing vegan Chinese since Bamboo Garden closed. The vegetarian sweet and sour short ribs were so unique, savory and you can eat the "bones!" I have never had vegan dan dan mien (homemade pan fried noodles), it wasn't very tingly but still tasty. LOVED the fried pumpkin with salty egg, delicious, super savory. I got takeout but I would definitely dine in too. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with booths and big dim sum tables, plenty of folks eating midweek early dinner. Nice people.

Don’t let the outside appearance dissuade you, it’s delicious! Our host was very friendly and the smell of tasty food greets you right away. Highly recommend the Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s, and sesame noodles.

Came here to also comment on the preposterous tip sign. You can see the name of their restaurant in the lower hand corner. Restaurant obviously caught in a lie in the other response to a customer.

Great food right near the crossroads mall

Two words: Egg tarts!! They were the unexpected highlight of our visit. It was lucious, pillowy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. I think they came right out of the oven and was served right after our meal. I honestly and genuinely didn’t know egg tarts could taste that good. The fried chicken was also good - fresh, juicy, and crispy. Overall a great experience and one I would be willing to make the drive from Seattle to.

Tried this spot today and it was such a pleasant surprise! The beef rice plate was super flavorful, and the soft-boiled egg and garlicky greens were a perfect combo. We also got takoyaki, some juicy fried chicken, and a crispy chicken cutlet rice plate — everything was freshly made and packed with flavor. The drinks were refreshing too. Overall, delicious food with generous portions. Would totally come back!

Reasonably priced, very clean. You can order via a digital menu. Wait wasn't long to be seated (though we made reservations). There's a cute little private room you can sit in as well. Food took quite a while to arrive and was pretty salty but was still okay. Menu doesn't have much in the way of veggies. We received gizzards instead of chicken heart for one of our orders.

Restaurant is clean and well-decorated. Plenty of natural lighting and eye pleasing wall decorations. Fast and friendly service. You can order by scanning a QR code from your table and food will arrive once you place your order from your phone. Plenty of skewer and Chinese hot dish options. Their skewers are really flavorful and full of spices. Most of the ones we ordered, such as grilled ribeye and chicken skin are a bit spicy but I love the spice and flavor. They have a hot plate for each table to keep the skewers warm and bucket to place the skewer sticks. They have plenty of other Chinese dish and would love to come back the try them. Plenty of parking space around the restaurant.

This isn’t your ultra-trendy, modern Asian fusion spot—and that’s exactly what makes it special. If you’re craving something comforting, flavorful, and totally unpretentious, this place delivers. The Mongolian Beef over crispy rice noodles instantly brought me back to my childhood. We also ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Veggie Fried Rice—classic dishes, seasoned and cooked right. The service was full and attentive! They even packaged up our leftovers for us at the end, and wrapped it all up with the classic fortune cookie—something small, but nostalgic and fun to see. With a 22 oz beer, the total came to about $70 after tip. Considering the portion sizes and the quality of the food, we felt it was a pretty good deal! If you’re looking for great food in a laid-back setting with a touch of nostalgia, this spot is a hidden gem. It will definitely be one of our go-to take out spots from now on.

We're so happy their back open for dine-in! This has been a family favorite for decades. Covid put it into take-out only for years. Their homemade noodles are the best! Great soups, pot stickers, and the entrees are all the best. A must for anyone in Seattle or visiting!
