My wife and I came here for a nice Sunday dinner and we were not disappointed!! Our server Law was AMAZING!! He was attentive and prompt and made suggestions at every interaction. Our food came out in the correct order (entrees fast, drinks faster and main dishes directly after) the atmosphere was nice and chill the music was not too loud and fairly upbeat. The tables were clean the temperature was appropriate and the staff were friendly and polite. The next time we have another night away from the kids we will be coming back again!

Morgan!!! A-1!!! Best service and vibe EVER! So easy to talk to. Drinks absolutely AWESOME! Definitely will be back for the drinks and to engage with her beautiful spirit! Shes on the bar Wed-Friday! I’ll be back next week! And it’s ladies night every Wednesday! Half off any bottle of wine!

Believe the hype! I don’t write reviews unless the food quality is actually great. This is the freshest Chinese food I’ve had in this area, it’s exactly the nostalgic kind of Chinese food I’ve been craving and can’t find anywhere else. The serving size was perfect for the price. With the inflation you can’t expect to feed a family of four with $20 so it’s unrealistic for people to ask of that. However if it’s an occasional treat this is perfect! The location is great, and the building is what you’d expect out of a traditional take out place. People are rude with their reviews because they expect something this place isn’t. The egg rolls that everyone loves to complain about in the reviews are actually a very specific type of egg roll that their uncultured behind probably aren’t aware of.

unfortunately most of the negative reviews are valid. fried rice looks burnt but tastes like nothing (no flavor at all, have no idea how that happened), the chicken dumplings were bland, the sauce for them was not like a typical garlic/ginger sauce, i dont really know what it was but i didnt like it. ended up making my own sauce for them. the egg roll was also very bland. the general tsos chicken was good!! they dont skimp on the chicken, its good quality meat, not over-battered, it is over sauced though and the sauce isnt general tsos, it reminds me more of orange chicken. very sweet, no heat to it. nothing was gross or offensive, but i cant imagine us ordering anything from here again.

Nice and quiet, food was delicious, i had o4ange chicken and white rice, and it wasn't to strong, it was just the right amount of orange? If that makes any sense? It's a nice hole in a wall location

You HAVE to try this place. Food was amazing. Tried a few different flavors of their wings and they were all delicious (the garlic sauce was particularly yummy). Their prices are super reasonable and their menu is huge. The owners were super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning!!!

My wife and I went here for lunch just for something different other than a hamburger. We had the buffet and enjoyed all the food! Though there wasn't a huge assortment of items everything was very good and prepared well. The young lady working there was cordial and friendly. We both highly recommend Fu Leen Palace.

I should have took a picture food was so delicious. We got the family meal and everything was so good! The bourbon chicken was tender and flavorful, the chicken wings were seasoned like my grandmothers not to much just perfect ( should have fried a little harder but were crispy) chicken and broccoli was the best I tasted in a while broccoli was so good I could just eat alone I didn’t get a chance to eat the general tso chicken because my daughter ate most of it kept coming back plus I was already full because they give you a good amount. The honey wings and fries were so good. I called and told them how good the food was because I just had to let the cooks know they did a Good job. Will be returning and prices are reasonable. I love how Hong Kong has been keeping Lee Hall happy and well fed for decades. Their service is cheerful and prompt. This is what east coast Chinese food tastes like to me. The parking lot feels empty without the grocery store, but there's plenty of places to park. Park on the curb if you want to save a few steps.

Okay so I pass this place everyday going to and from work. Yesterday I decided to stop by. Ordered a chicken egg foo young combo with extra gravy & some garlic wings. Food was very good but the combo look like a lunch special (small portion). Great customer service. But I won't be returning. I'm the type of person who likes to get his money's worth.

I ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young combo and as I starting eating the patty's I bit into bits and pieces of egg shells. I've ordered this before and I have experienced the same thing. It ruined the whole entire combo. Also, the shrimp egg roll was soaked in grease. I won't be ordering this again....smh.

I’ve been going for years and have enjoyed the food and customer service! The dishes come out in a timely manner and I’ve really like the meals I’ve had here, specifically the beef and broccoli. I recommend!!

My favorite Chinese place is closed on Tuesdays, so I decided to give this one a try. I got the fried dumplings, they are perfect, egg drop/wonton soup combo is good and loaded with dumplings and egg. General Tso’s was ok. I’m not an egg roll fan but their egg roll was delicious. Crispy and flavorful.

If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food that’s affordable and always prepared quickly, this spot is a must-try. The dishes are bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned stir-fries to rich, savory sauces. What sets it apart is the consistent quality and speed – your order is always ready before you know it. Plus, the prices are reasonable, making it a great go-to for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for anyone craving tasty Chinese food on the fly!

Went in to get “Spare Rib Tips”(no sauce), got hm everything ordered w/it was okay. Tried to take a bite out of a rib tip & couldn't. Too hard to even bite, I tried another tip, same thing. I started finger squeezing other tips & they were all hard. I clld back to the restaurant to let them kw I was not happy w/my tips. The wife had her husband call me back for more details. I advised I was returning to the restaurant to show them I had not eatn the meal nor could even bite the tips. The wife cooked more to see if that batch was better; husband stated cause I ordered w/no sauce is the reason they were hard. So not true. Tenderness of a meat has nothing to do w/sauce on it or not. I tried another, she had just made, same thing. I refused it, requested a refund on just the tips. I immediately went to another Chinese place, asked for the same thing & was tender & able to chew!😳. Other places I have bn to as well in the past, no issues. Thought I would get the same results frm The Great Wall…apparently not🤚🏼, I wnt be going back. “China King’s” tips were amazingly tender!! W/NO SAUCE..Im just saying…

I've order from here every now and then, and I enjoy their food! I like to get the sesame chicken combo, and it taste pretty good for the price! The staff here is friendly! I think Great Wall is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Newport News and I recommend trying their food!

Quick service. Reasonable pricing. Great portions in the combo platters. They look small but when you take it out the container, you see there's more. Only drawback is self service on the utensils and sauces.

No complaints.. the lady is always nice. Always there with the kids. I always tip them.. Just moved to the area in August.. hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant!! Dragon Garden sucks!!..

My friend placed our order and the egg foo yong for our meal was unrecognizable. It looked like burnt cheese. When the restaurant was called regarding the order the staff seemed to careless and it was mentioned a negative review would be made. The lady told us to go ahead and place the bad review.

Food was very good and was prepared very quickly. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. The restaurant was also very clean. Good teamwork for the crew there! Also I think the fortune cookie was telling me I need to hurry up and move to Florida 😂

Not a bigger plate portion of the last one in the red. Very disappointed when I saw what I was given. Everything else was great, except the portion of the black pepper chicken

Had the most incredible chinese food of my life here! I wasn't expecting much for takeout but boy was I surprised. Although the interior could use some redecorating, it's evident that they focus on the quality of their food. It was filling but light on the stomach. Everything was hot and fresh. And it was the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and savory - I couldn’t stop eating and I can't wait to eat here again! Thank you ☆

Ordered shrimp cashew and Singapore mai fun. Shrimp was so bad, baby corn was sour. These was already too old for eating. Mai fun also very dry. Rice was smelling old too. I will not recommend to anyone.
