Panda Kitchen
Warning: They're cash only. They don't take card. Not that they'd tell you that until you're there, ready to pick up your food. This is literally the worst chinese food I've ever ate in my life, which is saying something because I'm starving, and food is supposed to taste good when you're starving. I got the shrimp broccoli dish, with $1 chicken added. The shrimp was alright. The broccoli was tough, didn't taste cooked all the way through. Then, the rice portion had hard pieces of rice all in it, like they undercooked it. The chicken...did not taste like chicken AT ALL. I'm not one of those people who thinks these chinese restaurants cook cat instead of chicken, but this place really got me questioning my perspective. Absolutely repulsive poultry. Please, for the sake of your health, your taste buds, and your peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs.
Fried rice was mid nd the shrimp was hard to chew to the point my dog couldn't eat it
Panda Express
Had fried rice combo with mushrooms as our final meal in the States before heading back to India! The taste was absolutely delicious, and it's the perfect way to end our time here. Can't wait for more culinary adventures in the future! 🍚😋"
The worst panda express food I've ever had. Could be worst food I've ever had. I don't even know what noodles are made of from in this place. Orange chicken was soggy like it was cooked yesterday and heated up again today. Awful.
Golden Chinese Gourmet
My kids and I really liked this restaurant when ordering noodles on a rainy evening. We tried chow mein, lo mein, and mei fun. All the noodles, beef, chicken, and shrimp was cooked to perfection. There were lots of crunchy, fresh vegetables too.
I wanted to try this place and was disappointed. I ordered fried chicken and house special rice. The chicken was a 4 and the was a -1. The rice had clumps and no taste it also wasn’t much shrimp pork or chicken. I pick good places most of the time.
Wah Sang Restaurant
This place has some of the best Chinese food around. They also have the best French fries. The fries and chicken teriyaki are absolutely standout and the best quality you'll have in your life. Super fresh and always on point
Food is AMAZING 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 good portions, friendly customer service and not pricey at all. I ordered online and I picked it up in 10 minutes!!!!!
Great Wall
I walked in to purchase a quantity of rice. I was unaware of the card minimum. I offered to pay with a card, and the staff member gave me an attitude and started getting very emotional. Customer service is by far the worst out of any Chinese restaurant I've been to.
Food was horrible taste like wax and on top of that The fortune cookie was stale
China Star
We usually order here all the time for chinese for my whole family. They apparently changed the curry powder for the Singapore noodles and it completely sucks now. Theres no flavor, and no spice. But the chef insists he used curry powder. When its properly made, the noodles are very yellow with lots of spice specs. Last time i got them here, they had lots of heat. My family was already sitting and eating when i realized my noodles were wrong after picking up our order and bringing it home. They wanted me to pack up ( which includes having to bring my baby) the food and bring it back to have it remade, or for them to give me a refund. I wasnt going to stop sitting with everyone else who was already eating to pack up and go back for my money back or for a remake. Usually we love the food here. Was super disappointed tonight.
Overall really good a hint of Ginger which I could live without was really pleased that they gave us a free steak and cheese roll to try. My husband is going to buy them next time
China Wok
Good takeout, I liked the dumplings and egg rolls a lot. The vegetable dishes had fresh vegetables. The duck sauce is good too. We ordered on the phone and our order was correct and ready at pickup. Thank you.
I ordered take out at 2:00 on a wednesday. I chose seamless as the delivery company they charged my card at the time of the order. It was well over an hour before food was delivered. I know this is an issue with Seamlss (the delivery company) but this review is to let people know to pick another service. I haven't tasted the food.I went to the convenience store and got soup.
Peking Garden
Was tired of going to the same places in Haverhill so we decided to try Peking Garden and they were very good! Beef/chicken sticks were juicy, beef lo mein and pork Fried rice were flavorful, the General Taos chicken was the BEST I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. Crispy, full of flavor and no gross pieces but could have used more broccoli but still amazing. Only complaint is about the crab Rangoon's. This is my favorite thing to order so they HAVE TO be on point. I would say they could have used double the filling and they would be amazing. Flavor is good just lacks enough filling so mostly crunchy crust. Overall though, I think we found our new favorite place. Delivery was quick and food was hot.
The food was good. My only complaint was that I was worried about my delivery not coming. I ordered it online through their website. I guess they use some delivery service called beyond menu. I didn't receive anything telling me about my order and beyond menu is known for being a scam. So instantly started to panic, thinking I just spent $50 for nothing . The bottom line is that I received my order but it just goes to show you can't believe every review you read!
New Hop Poh Kitchens
My boyfriend found a bug in his broccoli with plain fried rice dish. They tried to say it was burnt onion. The proper people will be contacted since they don't want to give a refund. We will never eat from them or any other Chinese restaurant again.
Omg this chicken & broccoli taste so good. I have been a customer since the 90's with the previous owners. Idk if the new owners are related to former owners, but the quality is still top-notch. Chef's Kiss 💋
China Buffet
Great food and has upside for 6% savings bring cash to play keno ... we miss u Anthony!!!
My family and I really enjoy going here. It’s an all you can eat buffet, we know what to expect as far as quality and atmosphere goes and, honestly, I think this is one of the best. We used to visit one of the other local buffets and have since started going here. The food is always hot, from what I’ve observed they handle food properly and the staff is nice. It’s clean, and they’re attentive and kind to us whenever we return. I, personally, love that they added the gratuity for their servers as part of the bill so that their staff is guaranteed to walk away with money at the end of the day…they put up with a lot and they work for it so they deserve it. The food is decent and there are plenty of options. It’s become one of my new family night go to spots. To us, it’s worth traveling a little further to go here. Also, the pricing is better than their competitors. We enjoy it.
Fu Hing
Ordered delivery through their website*. The photos posted of their food are extremely misleading. I only ordered (2) chicken fried rice and that was enough. The rice didn’t taste fried - it tastes like sticky rice. It had zero flavor/spices. And the chicken? It was grey. I wish I had taken photos, but I was so bothered that I just tossed it. Do not recommend.
I have been ordering from this place for years and now their food quality has gone down severely in the past year and I've just had enough. Their fried rice now has no vegetables or anything, just the meat you asked for. Literally just rice and pork, the crab rangoons are just cream cheese w/ no seasoning, crab, or little bits of onions. They use to have bigger shrimp in the rice, now its just small little shrimp and not much at all and every chicken dish w/ sauce is literally just general gao chicken sauce on it. The dragon & pheonix plate tastes exactly like their general gaos chicken, I once asked for orange chicken and they just gave me general gaos chicken with orange peels in it lol, every plate w/ a sauce on it that isnt white sauce is literally just general gao chicken sauce, It all tastes the same. It's a shame what this place has come to. This used to be my favorite chinese food spot due to the quality of food before but they've just raised up the prices more and more and given you less quality and quantity. I'm done supporting this place, I can't support something like this anymore. I suggest you spend your money somewhere else.
New Moon Garden
I'm not sure what to think. I ordered 2 weeks ago and again tonight and had totally different experiences. 2 weeks ago I ordered sesame chicken (the best I've ever had anywhere, ever), crab rangoons (delicious), beef lo main (very good), scallion pancakes (very good), pork fried rice (very good), egg rolls (good), and chicken in garlic sauce (good). Tonight, I decided to try some sushi and other dishes. I ordered pork fried rice (very good), egg rolls (good), crab rangoons (very good), scallion pancakes (very good although some were slightly undercooked), orange chicken (mediocre & slightly spicy), moo shi chicken (mediocre), avocado crab salad (bad) and eel sushi (horrible). Both sushi items were extremely fishy tasting, concerning on its own (means the fish isn't fresh) but especially so with them both being cooked fish items. Eel sauce tasted great but was completely overpowered by the fishy taste. The avocado eel salad, I was expecting more along the lines of a kani salad with added avocado but it was also completely overpowered by the fishy taste. I'm not sure if there's different chefs on different nights and maybe that's why some of our food wasn't as good as expected but the sushi was definitely disappointing. I spent $70 to have it delivered, since they charged over $7 in "online ordering fees" just to get disappointing food. I will absolutely not order sushi from here again, and probably will not order from here often and most likely only for the sesame chicken. My go to for Chinese food is Ginger House in Haverhill but the first time ordering here I thought maybe that would change, but now I definitely know this is not my go to spot. They say a good tell for a great Chinese food spot is how good their sushi is, since that's usually a real money maker, but I would not get sushi here unless you want to question your health for the following 2 days. I hope they improve but eat at your own risk.
A hidden gem! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We got the PuPu platter for 2 and shrimp fried rice. Delicious. It was enough for at least 3 people and left overs. Service was excellent. Cute place and very clean.
