Kings Co Imperial
ANOTHER REVIEW INCOMING! The atmosphere and service at this place is just so welcoming. Amazing restaurant design with long lengthy hallways and plentiful outdoor seating in the back. That alone made me want to come back. The dishes were all tasty, but I did not try any pork or beef dishes so I feel as if this review is incomplete. Everything was tasty but besides the chicken dumplings I think I would order completely new items next time. Make sure they get you started with the pickled spicy cabbage. It was delicious.
Liked the food a lot, it was fresh and very tasty! We ordered the sesame cold noodles, garlic Chinese eggplant, salt and pepper tofu and vegan made weeping tiger salad. Honestly each dish was better than the other, right amount of spice and was light. The atmosphere was kind of dive bar-y which was pretty nice. The prices were a bit high in my opinion though. The service wasn’t very good. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu as we were asking her questions about it. She brought the check right after we finished our food without asking if we needed anything else which I found it very odd and sloppy! Maybe she was new…
Chino Grande
Got the chips, char siu pork, cucumber coconut noodles, and chicken. I thought the char siu pork was very nice and flavorful. Chips was good but a little bit expensive if you get the dipping sauces. The noodles had a very strange taste combo that I’m not a huge fan of. Chicken was good but very filling. Not a fan of the dessert sandwich though. Service was very nice and friendly
Came here for dinner with 2 friends. We made a reservation near their opening time so it wasn’t crowded but it did get crowded by the time we finished later in the evening. Drinks and food were good. I like their chips and 3 sauce dips. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. For the price of the dishes, the portions are small.
Wei’s - Williamsburg
Food was decent. I enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Service was attentive. I definitely liked the ambiance, which I think made the experience even better. That being said, it’s a good place if you are in the area already.
First time ordering from here and I expected more. Just like the other reviews that ordered takeout, my order was extremely subpar! Not only is it overpriced but it lacks flavor, and care for a to-go order. I got the sesame chicken because it was labeled as popular on Uber eats…idk how but my food was DRY, no sauce that the chicken was cooked in and there was one lovely cute broccoli on top..ONE. I even asked for extra sauce from cooking to be added in when packaging up the chicken; still received dry food. I was better off going to one of the regular local Chinese spots up the block where the food is made with care and it’s substantial for HALF the price I paid at Wei’s. And they at least add a regular amount of broccoli because that’s standard. Seems like they need to treat their take out orders with the same love and care they use for guests that dine in; those dine-in meal pics actually look appetizing. The pictures are literally night and day!
Big Wong
Roast duck was ok, had good dipping sauce. The crispy pork was fatty but way too salty. It was impossible to eat. Might be a one off though. Much cheaper to go into stores and order instead of online.
The roasted duck and chicken is quite juicy but kinda lack of flavor. Perhaps the chef forgot to put salt or seasoning… The price is decent though. But def kinda disappointed coming from Sydney where good canto bbq is everywhere
Food Sing
I got the Szechuan chicken. It is not Szechuan chicken. Has no flavor. They should take it off the menu. Very disappointed. The general tso chicken is good. Don’t try anything new here
Had an incredible meal from food sing last night. Sesame chicken was fresh and crispy. Beef lo mein was poppin. Egg rolls fabulous. The girl working front was really welcoming and everything was really fast. I’ll sing it from the mountain tops: food sing is the best chinese takeout in Williamsburg. Thank you!
